It's been so beautifully restored and gives you a real feel of what ocean crossing passengers experienced in the mid 19th Century. Plus the story of how she was rescued, brought home from the Falklands, and transformed from a rusting hulk into what she is today is amazing

Brilliant! The staff are extremely welcoming and enthusiastic! There is so much to see and do for all ages! The ship itself is spectacular, with great authentic displays. I would thoroughly recommend going.

It's the most exciting thing i ever visited! I loved how the ship has glass around it and water on it so it seems like it's floating. Once you are on board of the ship you are teleported in the past. Everything is so detailed and you can even smell everything (coal, food, bread etc.). With the tickets you can revisit anytime within 1 year.

This is a fantastic museum, it's presented very well and there's great access throughout the ship. The staff are also very knowledgeable and friendly. There's some great bits to get the kids engaged such as wandering through the galley and seeing the views on deck. Highly recommended!

This museum offers so much more than just a tour of the SS Great Britain. Your entry includes a fully immersive look at the life of Isambard Kingdom Brunel in purpose-built museum that has a wonderful amount of detail for those that wishing to take their time. It also offers more engaging, modern and fun experiences for the younger members of your group.

The ship its self is presented in full context. You can take time to see its history, construction, voyages and salvage. Then you get to board and explore the ship in your own time and pace.

The highlight for me was being able to go 'underwater' and walk around the dry dock to explore the hull. It really drives home what state the ship was in when it was rescued.

As a bonus the tickets are valid for free entry for a whole year so we hope to return soon!

The history of this iconic ship is mind blowing, not only a look into the incredible mind of Brunel but an amazing history lesson. The story of its life is so well presented, and the ship itself has been beautifully restored. A visit to the Brunel museum is also a must, a true "one off"

Loved this place, definitely the best part of my trip to Bristol. Being inside the SS Great Britain really makes you feel like you've gone back 140 years and seeing it as it actually is. As there is a more engineering focused part and a part on Brunel as well, it feels more like 3 great museums on different topics than just one. The people in costume and all the props laying around really give the museum flavour and depth. Definitely worth the price and not to be missed.

Absolutely amazing, information is clearly displayed and the layout is amazing. The displays are interactive and you can even dress up in Victorian clothing for free! One of the best experiences we have ever had. Amazing how much work has gone into the place and how accurate it is. Will definitely be returning - on the tickets that are automatically valid for a year!

Superb visit, in full insertion.

They have a sense of detail, smells and sound effects depending on the rooms. suitable for young and old alike. The price is 14 euros per adult which I find a bit expensive.

What a great day out and well worth the ticket price. We managed to spend over an hour and a half walking around and seeing everything. Even then we could have been here longer. The staff were amazing and so friendly. Always offering advice of areas that you may have missed and giving constant information about the ship and Brunel. 100% worth a visit if in the bristol area.

Had been here about 10 years ago, but wanted to go again as had heard of the opening this month of the Being Brunel exhibition. It opens at 10.00 but for once the traffic was kind to us and we got there early. Luckily the cafe opens and More

An excellent visit - after three hours there was no one in our group (approx 110 seafarers and their wives!) saying they were bored.
There is very good access for wheelchairs/prams, with elevators taking you to the different levels.
Lots to see and do and not too infantilised, unlike many places of interest.

Back in time to the steamship Brunel's Great Britain. Our visit was very worthwhile. You can walk under the ship because it is in a dry dock. You do not notice this because from above it just seems to lie on the quay. From the deck you can explore the interior of the ship. It has been very impressively restored.

Very entertaining place for whole family. I've been there twice and still I've discovered new interesting facts about Brunel and SS Great Britain. It's worth to visit at least once being in Bristols area.

An icon of British engineering that has been restored brilliantly, with an excellent museum. It vividly brings to life the steam age. The surrounding docks area is well worth an explore and a walk.

It's great because I discovered I'm extremely uncomfortable stood underneath a ship.
Plenty of exhibits, and interactivity, spent way too much time trying to draw a circle in the carriage.

Museum of an old ship. A wonderful place for students under 18 years of age to teach them a sailing experience. Near the river where there are different water sports. I spent a greeting time here with my students. We came from oman

A very good and immersive experience-well worth the money. You can look at the bottom of the ship at the hull, there is a small and very good museum area and you can explore the steerage, deck, engine room and first class areas-all in great condition with models and sound effects. Staff/volunteers very helpful and happy to help with info, passionate ect.

Plenty here to keep everyone - kids, parents, techy geeks - interested for hours. Amazing restorations of the interior and exterior of this iconic ship, and best of all, you can get everywhere: alongside her, under her, on her, in her and, if you opt to climb the mast, over her.
