Probably the best of the historic attractions in Bristol harbour. It always has something new when I have visited with 2-3 years gaps between visits. I would recommend downloading the Brunel mile guide as well & doing the harbour walk with this commentary, before going into the SS Great Britain exhibit.

Excellent place for a visit. Has mannequins fighting, good films of what the ship did during the days of its voyages. If you go into brunels brain it's amazing. Ship, museum and cafe is excellent. Great historical place to visit.

A fascinating museum with plenty to see and do. The ship itself has been fully restored with the cabins and storage areas all open to view. The dry dock is open to walk round so you can see the hull and walk round the entire ship. There is the chance to climb the rigging as well! There is a really good museum dedicated to Isambard Kingdom Brunel which details his fascinating life and showcases his amazing forethought and skills. A covered picnic area is available to use for free and even has heaters if needed. Well worth a visit.

Brilliant place to visit, make sure you stop and watch Brunel and his speach on engineering. Overall the ship is a fantastic and a great experience. Use the ferry and explore the docks and it's worth a look at buying a year pass for the ship.

Good place to visit for the family. Looks small from across the river but has many little bits to explore. Informative exhibits everywhere. A little pricey but the ticket can be used twice in a year.

Very impressive and informative. Good value for money and plenty to do and see in this area of Bristol. Me and my wife could have carried on wandering around for another day quite happily.
I am sure we will have another weekend away in Bristol again.

The restored ship is in excellent condition you have chance to wander the deck see the cabins and admire the design from underneath. It's impressive today and considering when it was built it's a wonder. It definitely deserves its status as a key attraction in Bristol. Not cheap so if you are sensitive to the price worth checking that on line but it is a marvel.

A wonderful place where we spent 5 hours!!
Without getting bored and we would to come again to finish our visit!!
What a wonderful visit where they managed to make us feel less like onboard on this ship that operated during 100 years!!
Thank you so much. <3

For those who love their industrial and Victorian history this is a great place to visit.Brunel is regarded as one of if not the greatest engineer of the age and this ship with its fascinating story is just part of his achievemnets.

What a fabulous experience visiting the SS Great Britain. The museum was fascinating and the engineering technology of the day quite amazing. But inside the vessel was a whole new world of history, so well preserved and so interesting to explore. Thank you to all the people who have designed and maintained such a treasure in maritime history.

Inspiring example of an engineer and visionary to match the other grand Victorians famed only for their soldiering, politicing, scribbling or hypocrisy.
The ship is well presented and the role playing and costumed stewards are approachable and knowledgeable.
Equally inspiring is the story of its salvage from semi submersion in the Falklands.
The Brunel museum is good, spoilt only by the grotesque fibre glass? Kristy the Klown style Head of IKB dominating one of the exhibition rooms, I wander if he would have been impressed by this Disney example of "engineering"

All in all a good short day or full morning visit.

It's really a fantastic museum. The ship itself is set up beautifully and it's full of stories and very interactive. Great place to take kids of all ages to. They also organise special workshops for kids. A must see!

Perfect for an excursion with children and show them every detail of the boat. The super realistic figures recreate perfectly what life was like aboard the SS GB. I liked it a lot, it was a shame that I went with little time and with a baby car that made it very difficult for me to stay there. Another point in favor is that children under five years of age enter for free

They have worked really hard to recreate the original ship and the job has been superb. It is very visually informative and there are plenty of signs explaining things. There is something for everyone there.
