Simple concept...great potatoes. The burger was just a frozen patty so that was disappointing but not a deal killer, they are more famous for their potatoes!!

We visited for the first time last night. The staff and atmosphere was fun and friendly. We tried a little of everything and took our order to go. Appitizers were fantastic. Highly suggest the oakra. Potatoes and burgers were excellent. Overall experience left us wundering why it took us so long try it.

My best friend took me here when I was visiting from Houston, love it! I am not a fan of chicken fried steak, but tasted her CFS spud and it was to die for, I got the brisket spud and it was also delicious. Recommend it to anyone who is in San Marcos, the cute little dining room is fun too. I need to make a trip back to it soon, my mouth is watering for one.

The sandwiches is good s far ( I just found this place. ) But to wait for a half hour for the potatoes....

Super place to meet and chat with coworkers. Prices were reasonable. Kinda of like a restaurant in Los Angeles I loved to visit.

Ordered ahead to have my order delivered by 11:45 AM before lunch. Wasn t delivered until 12:20... 35 minutes late! Lunch ends at 12:30. Delivery driver didn t apologize for the delay or anything... Will never order from here again nor would I recommend it.

This is gem in San Marcos! While working out there for 2 weeks fast food was getting really old. My wife and I gave this place a try, I am not a baked potato person, but this place was really good. I will definitely be eating there again while in San Marcos!

We called ahead of time to put in an order, arrived said the order was never placed. Called the same number we called to place the order, the phone rang right in front of them. 10 out of 10 wouldn t recommend this service.

Not too far from the stadium, Spud Ranch is a great place for baked potatoes. Plenty of different ways of serving 'em up, but I generally crave this most when it's cold outside. Decent prices and quick service from this tiny little strore-front restaurant.

Whatever the day is, take the special! They are always delicous and the chopped bbq beef spud is my favorite! Very small dining area so if you come during peak hours you might want to get your order to go.

Amazing food I ordered two brisket spuds and okra it's was sooo good and the delivery time was fast service was remarkable I highly recommend this place it's a gem

Great place, but it is kind of small and ingress/egress of the wooden bench seats are a pain. Food portions are great with good menu options.

Chicken fried steak with gravy in a spud. Delicious.

Food was fresh. However toppings were cheap. Made the potato dry and lack flavor. So it forced you to buy the extra toppings. Pretty much paid $7 for a dry potato.

If I could give zero I would, as someone who has worked in food service I'm appalled at the way I've been treated by this trash business. I bought 3 spuds for delivery at 6:40 PM and was given a delivery time of 7:38. I called at 7:45 and asked if my food was on it's way and was told their only driver would be back soon and we were next, I should have cancelled my order then because the next time I called at 8:05 I was told the driver had left and my food would be there soon. By this point I'm STARVING, my food doesn't arrive until 8:50 and it's not even warm. If I had known at 8:05 that it wouldn't show up for almost ANOTHER hour I would have SURELY cancelled then. I called their manager the next day because they were already closed when my food arrived to demand my money back because I only have so much I budget to spend on eating out and I'm livid I wasted $30. All they have given me were excuses, I even received the same excuses from their online contact. They offered to credit me ONE potato when I paid for THREE and all were completely unsatisfactory. I will never eat here again and save yourself the trouble and at least never ever order delivery from this place, and if they screw you over don't expect to be met with any kind of reputable customer service.

really wide variety of potatoes to eat. I got the parmesan chicken and my boyfriend got the buffalo chicken wing and we enjoyed both! Its a really big potatoe so lunch and dinner was provided

First off, their food is always amazing. The quality is great. Highly recommend the hot wing spud. Their hours are a tad early but it's worth adjusting your schedule. That being said, I just ordered online and was not very specific in the details for the extras and what not and yet they somehow managed to package everything exactly how I wanted it?? Dope. Never been let down by them. Super friendly staff as well.

Just told a potatoes restaurant had no potatoes. I've been here before and previously had good service.

Stopped by for the first time, never been before. But I love potatoes and was told to try it. I walked wanting a steak potato. Walked out empty handed. SPUD ranch had NO SPUDS!!!

Delicious grub at reasonable prices. Customers service is good and the food tastes exactly the way it should. Great local spot with limited seating. I believe they do deliver.

Good food at a decent price. I recommend a Philly Cheese Steak sandwich it's not on the menu but you can make by adding bell peppers to the steak sandwich.

I really enjoyed the brisket potato I had. The place was a little difficult to find, but I will be back again!

Picked up a couple of Spuds for my family. We live in Austin so when I visit San Marcos I stop in and get dinner for the family.

Not all spuds here are created equal. Highly recommend the chicken fried steak, chicken fried chicken, and the Philly spud. The fried pickles here are also top notch.

Very rude and bad customer service. Charge $6 delivery fee to drive 9 minutes away and all the money goes to the driver and you re still expected to tip. Not sure why I try to eat here as I ve heard horror stories of mold and other nasty bacteria around kitchen areas where they clean items and where they make their tea. Would definitely not recommend.

A lot of people talk like Spud Ranch is something special but it's just mid food. Decent price but the menu is very limited and the "burgers" come on weak toast instead of buns.

A local/student favorite. Super small digs and not a lot of seating, but the spuds are spectacular and apart of the TX State experience.

Great big Idaho potatoes with multiple cooked toppings/meats/vegetables/cheeses/sauces. They also carry hamburgers and sandwiches. You can find many cuisine themed toppings also. You can't go wrong eating at this small restaurant. 4.5

Picked up a Brisket Spud and a Chicken Fried Steak Spud for my family.

It's a great place to grab a fresh baked potato! We eat there often and have never had a bad potato or meal. We would give them five stars except at their place is super tiny with limited seating and if you blink you'll miss it!

This is a local hotspot. So local, in fact, that I am regularly surprised when I meet people here who don t know about. The potatoes probably weigh 2 pounds. That s not true - but they really are gigantic. And they are HOT! I always get mine delivered because it gives the spud enough time to cool down so I don t burn my tongue. That s a compliment. The variety of baked potatoes is pretty fantastic; some are like pizza, some buffalo chicken sandwiches, and some home-style. There s something for everyone on the menu - even vegetarians. I really can t recommend this place highly enough to any uninformed local or passer-through.

The place is small and unpretentious in an inconspicuous strip mall next to Bobcat Stadium. It's got kitschy cute country pictures and potatoheads on the walls and only a handful of tables and bench seating. The food itself is as you would expect, a variety of big baked potatoes. I had the quesadilla spud that included chicken fajita meat, cheese, sour cream and sauted onions and peppers. My husband had a brisket spud that had a heaping scoop of meat with butter while my son's girlfriend had the special of the day, a spicy chicken spud. Oh and just to be different, my son had a hamburger with tater tots! All were delicious and freshly cooked. We will definitely be back to this friendly counter service cafe.

Awesome food for the really hungry. You can share a spud between two people or keep all the goodness to yourself.

Little pricey for what they have and not very friendly not helpful for first timers.

Good food at at a great price, but the place is to small and they close way to early, especially on Fri and sat night. They close at 8 and Really should be open at least til 10.
