Spring ISD Review

I enrolled in Lone Star College Transportation Institute to get my CDL so I could start my new career. The enrollment process was simple and affordable, I opted for the 6 week program. Not knowing what to expect because this was all brand new to me, I was somewhat nervous on my first day. The staff and instructors were very polite, helpful and knowledgeable. My instructor was Will Billy Chapman and he was awesome! Billy would take the time and have the patience to answer any questions and help me along the way. The equipment and trucks we used for training were top notch. I had never driven a tractor truck before, but with the guidance and instruction I received from Billy, I had it down in no time at all. I was amazed at how much information we had to know to obtain a CDL license. We spent many days and nights on the yard practicing our pre-trip inspections, doing backing drills and just learning to drive a tractor truck. It was a great experience and I made a few good friends along the way. I highly recommend Lone Star College Transportation Institute, it was a great learning experience. Was the class and training easy? No, but they give you all the resources, training and instruction you will need to succeed so you can obtain your CDL. They even had recruiters from many different transportation companies come in and speak to our class. I studied and practiced and when the big day came to go do our driving test, I really felt like I was prepared. Billy drove us to the testing site and was very encouraging along the way. I was the first out of our group to test and to say I was nervous is an understatement. I just focused and remembered what I was taught and I am happy to say I passed all of the test on my first attempt. I was so excited and when I got out of the truck and Billy was standing there waiting and he was the very first person to congratulate me. I started a trucking job shortly after getting my license and it s now been almost 2 years and I m still driving my truck and enjoying my new career. Great job Lone Star!

Chanese(hope I spelled it correctly), Thank you for ALWAYS being friendly and professional. The process itself was challenging, but with the Help and Guidance of these phenomenal people and God, I DID IT! Don't get discouraged, I passed on my second attempt. Thank you Martin for offering extra practice so I would pass! Bravo, Bravo, Bravo! I definitely recommend Lonestar Transportation Institute for CDL training!!

Great school. Billy, Ed, Martin, Sara, and David all were excellent instructors and knew their knowledge and were very encouraging and educational. Just got back from taking my driving test in Livingston and passed with flying colors and received my license. As long as you study up on your pre-trip for your tractor and coupling of your trailer and learn it word for word, and you have no issues with your driving skills (backing, parallel parking, offset maneuvers, etc etc) the rest is a piece of cake and should have no issues at DPS when you schedule to take the final DPS driving test.

Well this school is horrible .... everybody is rush rush in all areas they are not interested in helping .

Do they teach in Spanish and do they know the cost?

When I went for Orientation the Hispanic girl at the desk stole my high school diploma card. If you go know that the school doesn't need it and she shouldn't be asking for it. She's a thief watch her.

Lonestar College in Spring,Tx is a Great school..The Training is top notch and the guys Mr.David and Mr.Billy are wonderful.I would definitely recommend this school 1,000%

Lone Star College Transportation School is not on James Rd.

Definitely a life changing experience for me. Instructors and staff are friendly, helpful and dedicated to making sure the student is ready for the state testing.

I have really learned alot from the instuctors at lonestar one of the best schools. I dont believe there will be a better school out there. I appreciate all the instruction the teachers have given me. I feel I really will be able to drive my rig when I get my license safely and the way its supposed to be driven.

The whole staff is awesome! I highly recommend LSCTI for anyone that wanting to attain a CDL. All instructors did a great job teaching and guiding our class in tractor-trailer control. My truck driving confidence definitely started here and has had a huge impact in getting me where I am at right now with my trucking career. The whole experience with LSCTI was awesome and the money spent was worth it!!!

Billy, Ed and David really know their stuff when it comes to driving. All of them are excellent trainers. Class sizes are small meaning more time for you to be out there training.

Excellent instructors, Great program to learn how to operate a truck/tractor I d recommend anyone seeking a class A Cdl!

Overall great school I m glad I choose this school to get my cdl!! I recommend this school to all students looking to get cdl!!!

Attended last year from Feb-May (weekends) and I had an awesome time. Very informative and knowledgeable staff. The instructors aren t just people who learned from a book they are real life truckers with experience under their belts. Billy kept the class fun and entertaining. David helped us ace our backing maneuvers and Molina helped out in the class.

Overall I would HIGHLY recommend this to anyone that wants to get their CDL

This school is amazing! The staff are all professionals in the career field and very passionate about the course of study. They don't just teach you how to pass the test. They teach you how to drive a truck. I felt confident in my abilities and used what I had learned to pass my test the first time. What I learned from the instructors prepared me to start work immediately in the industry. I would recommend this school to anyone thinking about pursuing a career in truck driving. They treat you like family here and genuinely want the best for you. Thank you Lonestar you guys are awesome!

The instructors were amazing teachers. I learned so much from them. The whole transportation department are there to truly help you succeed and prepare for the future. I would gladly recommend lone star college transportation institute to everyone looking to obtain their cdl a and learn from the best. Billy, David H., Phil, Dale, Martin and Patti are some of the most amazing people that I ve met and I m glad that our paths crossed. I will forever be thankful and grateful for all I was taught. So I say again if you truly want to learn and understand trucking then join lone star college institute. Trust me, you will have no regrets.

Everyone here is awesome! John and Maria taught me the skills to drive and back big trucks, and Sarah taught the CDL permit material in the classroom. I passed my CDL test first time with Stevens Transport. Steven's 3 week program is very fast paced but it was just enough time. If you are unfamiliar with manual transmissions it may be beneficial to use the Lone Star 6 week course.

I have just graduated and got my CDL-A with the help of the LoneStar team! I want to say that you, guys, are amazing! Great personal thanks to each team member! You are all great professionals! Phill gave us perfect theory knowledges, skill team was awesome!!! Billy, Ed, David, James are all super professionals! They can teach you how to make the truck dance:) I was in the weekend class, so 3 months I didn't have weekends at all. It was hard and challenging, but as a result I'm not as happy as I was supposed to be because I will not see you, guys again. After these 3 months, you became my second family. Special thanks to Patricia Banda! She was the one, who helped me to start my education and found a place for me in my group! I wish I could give you 100000 stars rating, but unfortunately I can give you maximum 5. Good luck, guys!

Instructor David was very patient and has so much knowledge in the trucking industry he taught my class all about how to operate a rig on Texas Roadway I truly recommend this school and instructor to anyone that s interested in becoming a truck Driver . A really great place to get the teaching you need to drive a semi truck and trailer. The Staff is excellent they help you every way possible. They helped me over 6 years ago get my CDL. I will forever be grateful of them.
