The establishment is neat and clean, spacious for animals, most staff are friendly and helpful and nice towards animals for sure. Vets and nurses are also professional and good. Clinical booking can be improved though, with many call attempts and no response or callback...perhaps lack of staff? Maybe an online booking system would facilitate the procedure?

Wonderful and compassionate people working to provide much needed love and care for animals in need. Please arrange an appointment and adopt your next family member!
The HQ of HK s SPCA with exemplary services available and of course a team of pet professionals who go above and beyond. They are thorough about vetting potential adopters so think twice before adopting HK is not an easy place to raise and care for a pet.
Really helpful staff and volunteers. We picked up our last family member there 2 weeks ago. The adoption process was detailed and thorough. Every step meant to ensure the animal is adopted and kept for life.
Wan Chai staff attitude is very poor In particular, one tb plus another female squad called the scorpion, the dog, the singer, the singer, the singer, the singer, the singer, the singer, the singer, the singer, the singer, the blackhead, the tb L is the same as the
We visited this SPCA centre to view the Dog accommodation facilities and were satisfied with the overall cleanliness and wellbeing of the Dogs in said care. They had access to fresh water and clean bedding. Plus there was air conditioning for when required. The staff were knowledgeable and friendly too. Very happy with the high standards of care at this SPCA
The staff are very unfriendly, makes it feels like you have to beg them to introduce the dogs to you and for advices in general.
You have to make an appointment to see the dogs available for adoption, but once you get there, the staff just lets you walk around to see the dogs and they are not too willing to help you out or answer your questions. I totally don't understand the point of making an appointment.
There are cats and dogs for adoption, homestay and medical services, with first-class standards. The location is slightly remote, only 2A buses and taxis are available. Annual membership fee 200 yuan.
The workers there are friendly and they assist me and they do really care for animals. This place is great I love it.
Update June 2, 2019 I was just sitting on a chair when I saw a very weak tiny bird.
I report it to them even though I cannot speak english well the lady who answered my call is patient. I wait for them to come and around 6:20 p.m. a man came and take the bird.
I don't know what to do, I don't have a house to take the weak bird in. I am very glad they really come to rescue the tiny bird.
Worse experience ever. Brought my nephews to pick a dog and they picked a cute old poodle. Filled in the forms to apply for adoption but without clear explanation that if in three days time no calls received then considered adoption failed, with lots of expectations from the kids and Called everyday and either can't go through or left messages but no call back ever. Ends up have to go to their wanchai during a weekday afternoon to skip work to go to their wanchai office to get an answer of no. They said the criteria to choose which household to place the dog in is base on how big the house, if any experience in raising dogs, living indoor or outdoor, and if anyone like Maid's to take care of the dog or any adoption experience before. We already lived in a several thousand square feet house with back and front gardens and had experience in raising dogs and have 2 maids with us. Still failed. The slogan said boycott bad breeders but if the service is so lousy I understand totally why people are going to breeders to buy instead.
This is an animal welfare charity with many dogs and cats needing g homes. Adopting a cat is very easy and simple however adopting a dog is very hard and confusing. Once you find a dog you like you meet it then fill out an application to adopt. However the SPCA still leaves the dog open to new applications from different people to increase there chance at giving the dog to a great home. I respect this but what shocked me is that when we went to fill out the application for a puppy the SPCA did not tell us that this was the case. And it turned out that 3 weeks earlier the dog had already received an application that had fitted all the necessary requirements. So to speak we had got our hopes up on a dog and had them crushed. After this experience we did not apply for another dog, instead we went to Hong Kong Dog Rescue and are now living with our little puppy Luna. We did adopt two cats from SPCA successfully so don t never adopt but be mindful when adopting. There pet supply store is great and highly recommend buying supply s for your pets there. They also have a pet grooming service. SPCA is a good charity just rubs dog homing in a confusing way.
Amazing set of facilities for pets (dogs, cats, birds, rodents, snakes, etc.). Hospital, salon, adoption facility, vacation boarding, supplies and toy shop, you name it. We visited in hopes of adopting, and found each dog housed in 2x2 meter enclosures. The staff are more than happy to move to and the potential adoptee into a bigger area so that the whole family can interact with the dog.
I thank the Hong Kong Animal Protection Association for taking away my little Shih Tzu. She is 15 years old this year, her ears are deaf and her eyes have cataracts. She is naughty and free to cross the street, but she does n t know how to go home. Thank you for being accepted in the association!
I've had to go to the Wan Chai veterinary hospital at all hours of the night on two occasions. The second was for the last time for my furry buddy. The staff were super professional, incredibly knowledgable, compassionate toward me and my pet as well as obviously caring animal lovers. I hope to adopt a pet from here in the coming weeks.
The elderly told stories. During the typhoon season in Hong Kong in 1985, the staff of the Animal Association s field staff inspection department, without protection, the staff of the alarm hotline center, told me that the place where a serious animal cruelty incident occurred was At Aberdeen Station, the typhoon signal No. 8 has been hoisted on the same day. Within the SPCA, it is not necessary for all staff to be on duty. However, some staff will be on duty during this period. The emergency service personnel are but It is a pity that these people are all risking their own lives without the protection of the comb. Given that the typhoon signal no. 8 is hoisted, the association may begin to play any role in this investigation. Because there is no Yanshu company that can guarantee that if there is any damage to the employee when he goes out to do things, he can t afford the rest life is the most important thing, and the field staff called the Aberdeen Police Station on duty. After the official company on duty sent police officers to the supervisor to search, but they did not find anything to return to the center, the details of the relevant internal issues are very clear, unfair and unfair things, there is the public as a point to view the real The welfare of animals is protected, and there is no need to be responsible to the people of Hong Kong or to the staff of the Hong Kong Association for the Protection of Animals. I also know that there is no comb in the Typhoon Building No. 8. Please save the animals and go directly to the Aberdeen Police Department, arrived at Aberdeen Police Station at four in the morning! After discussing with the duty inspector of the Aberdeen Police Station, the relevant police officers were sent to the complaint site to successfully rescue the hijab dog, and the dog owner s behavior was immediately prosecuted. At the same time, it was not a police prosecution but an animal care Members of the association, but no one reported related matters to the director of the association. It is incredible to be scared to understand that someone can cover the sky with only one hand, and it is represented by a red chicken rope. At the same time, it should be to return the total funds to the association. To travel back to the Hong Kong government. Until now, no one can tell the public about this incident. Taxpayers have paid. Don't treat animals so cruelly, but some people have thought that the people of the association risked their lives to do these things to save the animals and successfully prosecute them. I am justified, well-documented, and not denying.
My 2 year old adopted hamster, Cotton from SPCA, had a sudden prolapsed eye which needed immediate attention. We literally rang all the exotic vets around HK but were all too full to see her even as emergency. We were so desperate as we knew our little girl was in pain.
However the SPCA (HK Center) after hearing our desperate plea and who despite being also full allowed us to go to the clinic and wait for a chance to be seen by a vet.
We didn't have to wait long. Although we had to euthanize my little girl in the end, we are really really grateful and appreciated that the SPCA gave us a chance to end her pain earlier. (A promise we gave her that she'll never suffer again as our family member)
Thank you Dr Tanya Master and SPCA for everything yesterday.
Visited the spca with my family, we are glad that there is SPCA in Hong Kong, there are dogs, cats, and some other small animals. There are well kept and fed, dogs enjoy a big cage. Staff is friendly to all animals. There is also a vet clinic and a pet shop selling accessories and pet food.
We have been a Lifelong Member for our cat and dog since 2011. The vets are very caring and friendly. Probably the best place to get your pets neutered in HK and the most reasonably priced! Profits support the SPCA s mission. Great cause
