Went for the winter wonderland drive the entire place was decorated and had different themes for each part. The lights were beautiful but it was $50 and the tracks you had to download were a pain, they should have had it programmed to a radio station instead of making us switch to the next track every minute so you never got to finish a song, by the time the song started singing it was onto the next

Overall, this is a clean park with friendly staff. This place is primarily monkeys and birds at the core, with mix of other species as weather permits. The newish restaurant building and bathrooms are a big upgrade. If you need restrooms with kids, you really want to be at the top of the hill in the park.

The pricing and exclusions for the Zoo-it-All are starting to get a little out of hand. On top of that $36 option, $6 more to ride a pony, $12 each for a "zipline", more to ride camel, $12 to " mine" stuff, etc etc.

For basic zoo experience, worth a trip once, but all the extra stuff they are trying to charge just isn't worth it. They need to stick closer to the family roots (think StoryLand) versus Six Flags or Florida major park.

Wished we had gone on a day that was cooler because we only got glimpses of the animals we really wanted to see as most were hiding in the shade. Some we didnt see at all. I dont know if they feed the animals before or after park hours but other than birds and monkeys ( plus turtles & pigs getting busy) the animals were just laying there and we visited multiple enclosures several times to try to get a better view. We arrived 30 mins after they opened and left when they closed so plan on spending the entire day or you wont see everything, especially if you have toddlers. The EARTH center is a joke. Its literally a small room with lizards snakes and turtles, the girls working in there didnt try to educate us about the animals etc, but they did let us touch a snake skin and showed us a tarantula shed. There wasnt any interactive displays in the zoo where you could touch anything except for feeding goats and deer and you can pay 10 bucks to ride a camel around the ring once. Definitely bring your own food or drink a bottle of water or Gatorade is 2.50 plus tax. Glad we took our 3yr old niece but not a place we would go to again.

We we're passing by on our way home from a visit to Canobie lake Park and decided to check it out. We we're glad we did, big place lots of cool animals, also the restaurant there had great food.

People have to understand animals are free to move in and out of shelters, so you may not see everyone on your visit.

Good to go when animals are feeding, saw the higheena feeding. Cool / creepy to hear the power of there jaws crunching bones of grilled turkey breasts, and there laughing sounds they make. Good place lots to do including gondola and Zipline.

What a wonderful zoo nestled away. Been to the philly zoo, Central Park, and several others and this one was definitely one of a kind!!

Very family friendly and the deer petting zoo was one of a kind! Will definitely be back!!

Absolutely an amazing experience. So many animals. The best part is all the animals look very happy and well taken care of. The deer walk is a great experience. Also a nice place to bring kids. You can feed deer and goats, and the gift shop has many stuffed animals and the prices of all the gifts are the lowest prices I've seen at any zoo. I'll definitely be going again!

Very pricey, the monkeys we're extremely board do to small enclosers, need more room to do what monkeys do. Very sread out. I will say that every staff member I spoke with was extremely nice, polite and helpful. Just if your going to run a zoo give the animals the room they deserve and more toys. Really need larger enclosers. Do the right thing

Really nice zoo. Family friendly with a ton of great exhibits, including tigers! Every so often they have an exhibit where you can ride elephants. The only reason I wouldn't give it five stars is that it can get really expensive. But still a great way to spend a summer day.

We choose to drive a little farther to this zoo because they had advertised turtle day on their website. Parking was convenient and easy. Admission price was very reasonable given the quality of the zoo. We really enjoyed the walk through deer trail where you can feed the deer. Definitely bring some quarters, friendly people near us loaned us some corn so we could get amazing pictures with the deer!

Nice zoo with alot of unique and interesting exhibits. General admission price is reasonable but once inside be prepared to pay for several rides and attractions that aren't included. All in all a cool place.

Great zoo. I have been to world class zoos in New York and this zoo is definitely top on the list of great zoos. We visited the goat petting zoo with our boy and we thoroughly enjoyed all of the amazing animals throughout the zoo. It was a FANTASTIC experience!

Pluses: good selection of animals and food inside the zoo is reasonably; Cons: it looks tired, and it is quite expensive; giant con: trains is $6 per person which means $24 dollars for my family. Might as well go to Thomas Land for that....

This place is huge. Get ready tho spend some money. I wish there wad guides snd zoo keepers at all animal stations to teach us about the animals. The amount we paid to feed the giraffes is ridiculous for two branches. The rides are old and there's not a huge selection for the price you pay. In the end i left the zip feeling sorry for the animals and realized i will not support any more zoo's because the animals are captivated snd have barely any room to roam around. So sad.

This zoo has some great sights. My favorite being the giraffes. It's advised to bring quarters as there is a deer enclosure where you can feed the deer. There is a goat petting area. All is great and well maintained, except for the lions and tigers. Every time I see them, they're pacing and look uneasy. I don't think they're happy and it's very sad.

First I would like to say that all of the staff were very friendly and knowledgable. However, I was not too happy with my experience at this zoo because alot of the animals were not in there cage or they were hidden deep in their cage. Thus, I really didn't get to see the animals as much as I would have liked. I drove 1 hour to get to the zoo for a 4:30 reservation and payed $60 for the safari drive experience. Maybe the animals are more active around noon rather than the evening. Just something to consider.

I love the non-commercialized feel of the place. Not enormous, but plenty big enough fur a days adventure with the kids. Also appreciate that there is plenty of shade fur visits on hot days.

The Southwick Zoo is a great place to bring the whole family. They have a petting zoo, a zip line, exhibits to see other animals, camel riding, gourmet restaurants and much more. Plus, some animals you ll be able to see animals wandering around and you can even hold a parrot. It s a wonderful place I highly recommend going there.

Wonderful for all ages. My group had ages 43, 58, 59, 83. We all enjoyed it. Camel rides, Skyline, zipline we did it all. Especially enjoyed leisure walk through wooded area where deer walk around free for us to touch and feed.

Prices are high, but they accept AAA discounts. The lack of bathrooms (a few portable ones here and there) is annoying. There also isnt any hand sanitizer in the stalls or sinks close by to wash your hands.
Bring baby wipes and hand sanitizer and you'll be allset

This zoo is right down the street from my aunts house and we go at least 2-3 times a season. It s a great zoo, staff is friendly, there s plenty of shade and places to sit. I love the deer forest and the lift that goes all around the park. Also please help support these guys through this rough time!

My family of 4 had a great time today at Southwick's Zoo. I gave it 1 star though because of 2 reasons. 1, it was so expensive. The entrance fee wasn't that bad but it's everything else you have to pay for: $6 per person for a train ride, $5 per person to go in the maze, $6 per person to go on the sky ride, there is also a zip line and rides that are extra but I'm not sure how much. I intended to spend $70 entrance fee for 4 (I had a coupon) and food so spending over $150 for a few hours at the zoo was ridiculous. 2, I know zoos aren't the best place for animals. It's like jail pretty much. I selfishly took my family there bc the kids wanted to go and they don't know any better. I could've said no and explained why we shouldn't go but I didn't. I naively and probably wishfully thought that the animals there were injured and brought there and couldn't go back into the wild. I'm not sure if that's true. A female lion was pacing back and forth in front of us and I looked it up when we got home. Some websites say it's "zoochosis". That the animals are either bored, stressed or experiencing anxiety due to lack of room to run and be animals in the wild. I really wish I hadn't contributed to that.

Animals and everything were fine. But the entrance for 2 adults and a kid was $80, a bit on the expensive side. I don't think we'll be back. Food options are limited but can bring your own food.
