The salesman was very welcoming (1 star for that) and let us try the car. However he would not talk about the financing options unless we signed to buy the car. That was ridiculous. We will never go back there

My visit was in response to the latest Chrysler promotion involving demo of new models and rewards from a "Wheel of Fortune". contest. I was served by Decio Menezes and Chris Simard. I am interested in the new Patriot, but since none was available I did my demo drive in a Compass. I was impressed by the performance and improvements over my current 2007 Patriot. In the past I have been hugely impressed by the overall outstanding performance of all concerned at Southbank. This is a dealer that is far beyond the norm for Chrysler and its competitors in the Ottawa area. I formed this opinion when I bought my Patriot in 2007 and I passed it on to the CEO of Chrysler Canada. My opinion was reinforced even though I was a victim of the '07 Patriot proving the point that one ought never to buy and automobile in its initial year of production. In this case the ball joints and tie-rod ends crap out at approx 30,000 miles. Although Chrysler would not compensate me for this at the time, later when I was dealing with Southbank manager, Mr. Guy Parker, on another matter as a goodwill gesture he provided some credits towards future repairs and service for other items and I appreciated this. And it reinforced my positive opinion of dealing with an outstanding operation -- which in the end is all about outstanding people. And again, I compliment Messrs. Menezes and Simard for their work with me today
They must run a tight ship here. Always ask us to review them. They've done good. I like them. Got our Jeep here. Bought the full package. Haven't paid any services fee. They take care of everything. I should book my free deep cleaning soon. :)

I received a complimentary car detailing from Anson Darville at Carstar downtown and Southbank Dodge did a really nice job; even though I wasn't paying for it. In addition, knowing as an Integrative Therapist, I had to be back in time for my next client, the crew went the extra mile and worked through their lunch. Very much appreciated.
Order a part with the service dept. After multiple visits, calls and 2 months of waiting, it still never arrived so i cancelled the order. Leaving the service area, they tell me "it'll take just as long at any other dealership ". So i went to st.laurent location, had the part in my hand 5 days after. Highly advised to avoid the servicing at southbank.
Southbank doesn't even deserve 1 star. My boyfriend bought a 2017 Dodge Ram 1500 last June and the service has been disgusting ever since. His truck was broken into and we soon found out that the truck had no sound alarm, even thought he had clarified to the sales team he needed it for his insurance. They then BLAMED HIM for not telling them he needed it, which he did. They offered to pay for the system to be installed but NOT the labour even thought this was THEIR dishonesty.
He recently brought the truck back for a full detail and when we put up the middle front seat there was DOG HAIR. We have checked and the tailgate was NOT cleaned, and the front carpets were not lifted to be cleaned underneath.
We tell EVERYONE we know how terrible the service has been with southbank, how dishonest they have been, and how they have blamed their oversights on us.
Thanks to Prince Hijazi and team I got the vehicle I wanted that my family liked much. I want to commend the friendliness and great attitude of Prince for offering me after 5 minutes discussion couple of options from which I picked one. I believe I would walk to this dealer for another deal and will recommend it to friends.

Went to Southbank dodge to trade in my 2013 Ford Escape. Not only they didn't even try to get me a deal they even gave me a speech about my finances and how I should manage my money. Told me I cannot get an interest rate less than 29% since I have a negative equity from my Ford. Went to Mega Motors got 2016 Jeep Patriot at 8% interest!!!!
The service staff at this dealership are rock stars. You get treated like family. I live in Petawawa and will only service my vehicle here. The attention to detail and accomadation from the staff is second to none. Especially when lengthy service is required. Thank you Chris, Dustin, David and Madeline for making it an easy day.
I would like to know what your multi point inspection included because I did not see any report in my papers other than the Safety Certificate?
The reason I bring this up is I had a Ford dealer do a do a final inspection before the warranty expired.
There were 2 issues I was not impressed to be informed about.
First the air filter was found to be chewed by possibly mice? Had it replaced and asked to have it given to me for my own inspection.
Second the front breaks were rated as yellow which falls into a 20 to 50 % life remaining as well as rust ridge forming on back of rotor?
I sent an Email to the sales person and the financial rep with this information and received no return call or email in response .
As I stated earlier, what does your check list include and what was actually done because I did not see any list in my records?
In my opinion this did not leave me with a positive customer experience doing business with your dealership and I am not likely to recommend South Bank Dodge as a reliable and trustworthy dealer as far as used vehicles are concerned.
Longer wait than I expected, a suggestion, give your customers a estimate wait time. Inform them if it needs to be extended. I heard a lot of fusterated comments by others in the waiting room.
From the moment I arrived to when I left was five star service Had a conpon for undercoating. They went ahead and did the inner rustproofing as well. No extra charge and also washed and waxed my car and did the windows. Car looked great. Highly recommend you use this place!!
Good service, only complaint is even though you make an appointment for a specific time and day , drive ups (no appointment) still take precedence over your appointment time. That should change, otherwise stop taking advanced scheduled appointments.
I went for an oil change and used the express counter. I had Lso.aasked.themp to put.air.in my tires, which they assured me that they would. Not sure how fast.the express.lane was compared.to normal service, but it seemed I didn't save any time. And they didn't put air in my tires. But, as always, the staff is very pleasant to deal with, and my cost were.a.little less than expected
As usual, staff were pleasant and accommodating: seems a little long for tire change with rims on however and my tire pressure incorrect light has been on since I left southbank. Uber service was great as was the hot coco while I waited!
The staff are very nice and professional but the service levels, not so great. I brought our vehicles over 5 times in the 1.5 years for oil change and small jobs/recall and they never got to it. We had appointments each time. One time they kept it three days due to backlogs . Twice they forgot the part. I have purchased over a half a dozen vehicles from them, not convinced anymore.
Such an amazing company! Every time I ve been there they have given me great service. They go above and beyond to accommodate. They treat me with respect and communicate clearly. I m a woman and I know nothing about cars. I don t feel uncomfortable at all and they have never taken advantage of me. I ve been to places that have. Dan O Neil really helped me out the last time I was there. I feel confident driving my car after I leave. As long as I live in Ottawa, I ll continue going there. Thanks ladies and gents!
It s a dealership with many, MANY layers of management and approvals. Felt like a shell-game at times...but I like games!
Bought 2 new vehicles from this place (2016 Jeep, then 2019 Jeep). Like all big purchases...know what you want, do your research ahead of time and stick to your plan. Most importantly, get EVERYTHING in writing and don t get caught up in the emotions of a new vehicle purchase.
End of the day, got what I wanted for what I was willing to pay, but it was a challenge getting there (1-2wks).
Had smoother dealings with other places, but there was less negotiation needed. Hence 3 stars.
For service, the coordinators are overworked and don t always follow up when they say they would, but are ALWAYS polite and professional.
Whether a purchase or service, these people work for you, but always treat them with respect.
Jenna helped me today with my oil change and she was great. The mechanic was super nice as well. Free coffee with real cream wasn't too shabby either. Thanks!

I am here in Ottawa to help my daughter and son-in-law after the birth of their baby. But had an issue with the engine light on my Jeep that didn't resolve even though I had checked gas cap a couple of times (as has happened in the past) . I really wanted to know if I would be ok to drive my 5 1/2 hour trip back to Cambridge so I contacted a large dealer, beginning with the letter "D", who told me they wouldn't be able to see me for over a week?!?!? Really?? But when I contacted Southbank, I got a prompt call back from Richard in service, who told me to simply stop by and he would look at it! They quickly checked it, reset it (it was the gas cap ) and sent me safely on my way. I honestly would have paid for that peace of mind but all it cost me was a smile and my thanks! I would recommend this dealer and as I will likely be making many trips to Ottawa to visit my grandson, I may need their services again and will do so gladly !!

Clear that this vehicle not familiar to staff. Car delivered on scheduled date but with active tire pressure warning light. As it turned out, this was corrected by doing a computer reset, but it caused worry, aggravation and distrust. Also, despite following up at the time with sales staff and being told to expect a call from Service the next day, no call came. I figured out the issue on my own. While I appreciate the four new tires installed (in hopes of correcting the issue) they likely were not necessary.
good prices friendly sales staff ...once it's purchase ... good luck getting appropriate service bought 2 truck their since 2016 won't be back their they would have to pay me more then $200 to refer a friend or person to go their! word of mouth biggest advertisement.
Had an appointment for a car wash at 10am. Arrived a little before. Didn t think it would take too long, just a simple wash. No inside detailing. 11am rolls around and my car is still sitting there. Wasn t until almost noon that I ended up leaving. The staff though were great. Very helpful!

I am not happy to have a $2393.71 repair cost on January 10,2020 after having a Peace of Mind service on October 15,2019 at a cost of $2296.05. The odometer reading Oct 15 was 100499 on Jan 10 it was 104418. How could 3919 kilometers result an adapter-engine oil filter leak and a leaking radiator needing replacement. And I was told the rear heat shield was loose and needed to be fully replaced but in the end was able to tighten the bolt at a cost of $129. How could a peace of mind service result in all this cost to me!! Twice a month I get called from the dealership wanting to buy my vehicle. Is this the incentive - charge her big for repairs, she'll sell it to us.
I feel cheated, I feel there is something very wrong with the cost of repairs to my Jeep. Before the peace of mind, I had NO issues. NONE.
End of sale not so nice. Vehicle was picked up in the 28th of August and due to a delay from Southbank paying off my Cherokee I was charged 2 additional car payments from my Cherokee.
It is currently the 4th of October and I am still out $570 dollars which has not been reimbursed. Would not purchase from the dealer again because of this with no apology and no compensation.
This review is overdue, bought my 2013 nissan altima from them back in Feburuary and Justin was great and understanding of my needs and helped me to get the best price for my trade in. Had few issues with it starting engine light and tpms were on and Justin booked me in for service and Chris in servise was great as well to help me fix those issues havent had any issues since. It was my first time buying from a dealer and they made my experience great not like Capital Dodge were I felt pressured. Will for sure go back again for my next vehicle. Thanks again.
Horrible service of my vehicle had my car for about a year and nothing but nightmares and service department just can't fix the multiple issues sick and tired of having to go back and forth to service this car because no one seems to know how to fix anything at this dealership stay far far away

Staff is ahead nice and helpful, from buying experience to service and appointments. Bruce helped us buy a car and have us a good price. Service is good and wasn't costly. Appointments are fast and they fix everything rapidly. They don't debate with you in warranty issues and just change if something gets broken. Very pleased.

We purchased our 2014 Dodge Durango from Southbank Dodge 4 years ago and have enjoyed the personal and friendly service from all sections of this dealership, so it only seemed natural to return for our latest acquisition, a 2018 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk.
Our salesperson was Jenna Piche and our Finance expert was Paul Curry for this latest purchase and both of them made the process one of the easiest and quickest we've ever had! We gave Jenna a list of "must haves" and she was able to find us a vehicle that had everything we wanted right on the lot, right down to the colour, Hydro Blue Pearl! Her next amazing feat was to get all those "must haves" at the right "Must have" price, which she accomplished easily and passed the torch to Paul.
Paul took over from Jenna and worked his magic to get us, the best financing deal he could find and was able to get all the extra warranties and services for the best and most affordable prices.
Between Jenna and Paul, we came in on Saturday morning, started the deal, and by Monday afternoon we were driving off the lot in our new 2018 Jeep Cherokee!

Had an appt time for 7:45 am. Informed service i needed vehicle back by 2pm. Was informed at service desk that it would be 2-3 hrs before vehicle was brought in and repair performed. I was ok with that time frame. They shuttled me home. Called back @ 12:45 pm (after lunch). Vehicle had still not been brought in the shop. Stated it would be in after lunch. Repair time was still approx 3 hrs. I went and picked up my vehicle without repair being done. When i got there, I was informed that the appt time is not actually the appt time, just that it is a time so your vehicle "will be brought in at some point during the day". Terrible service

I have had several unhappy moments with Southbank ranging from a terrible sales experience to unprofessional repair work and then finally no response to my complaints. Please take your business elsewhere!
Told them over the phone I wanted a part replaced and an oil change. If anything else came up to contact me before adding any additional charges. They invoice me with the cost of changing the part plus a 279 dollar diagnosis fee and a 214 dollar oil change. Service advisor Dean Martin is a lizard neck scumbag. Chris helped me sort out the ridiculous charges and we settled on a price that was closer to what it was supposed to be. Still wouldn't reccomend this stealership.
Asked how long it would take told 2h.. 3.5h later asked when I truck be ready got 2 answer from service mean while its sitting in the parking after I pointed it out to them there story changed to oh just finished. They tried to upsell like crazy question when and were previous work was done and then gave me a price for repairs and told them no after a few minutes they service guy managed to drop almost $300 off and still said no. Told they finishing my truck up and 1.5 hours later I went looking for it. Went in for 9am didnt leave until 12:40pm. Wasnt happy no one had answers be last time I ever use this dealership Beware also check your inspections marked complete and good and in comments "not checked incase seizes on". So played for work not being done
An absolutely pleasant experience, completely without stress. Charlie, the Sales agent, was recommended to us by a friend, and he did not disapoint. He treated us with respect, answering all of our questions honestly. We never felt as though he was less than genuine. He is very accommodating and beyond helpful. When he wasn't sure about some accessories, he did not hesitate to call upon Jean-Marc in the Parts department, who went beyond expectations to deliver what we were looking for. As for the financing, Bassem made the whole experience effortless and absolutely crystal clear. The whole experience was so enjoyable...not what you usually anticipate when faced with buying a new car. Thanks to the whole staff at Southbank.
Just bought a new Jeep here and the service is excellent! Managed my picky husband well They went above and beyond to get us exactly what we wanted and knew what they were talking about (unlike other dealerships that would say anything to get a sale).
I recently had the rear brakes done on my Ram 1500. Their estimate last fall was around $600, when scheduling my visit their estimate had increased to $800. Picked up my truck and the cost was $1,000. Apparently their estimates don't include tax? Also their parts charge was $640 (NAPA price for same parts is $315). Service was slow but good (took all day to do a 1-2 hour job). So the lessons are to watch for tax in estimates and be aware of excessive parts prices!
I went there for a car wash. They left deep scratches on my windows and paint I'm not impressed half the dirt was still left on the car they didn't even bother to wash drivers mirror, like they rush the car in just to get you out. Not a place to get a car wash!
Went to them to look at 1 vehicle and after a second visit, determined that it wouldn't work. Was able to find my current vehicle on the second visit and had a wonderful experience. The staff were all super friendly and no real sales pressure. My sales rep Kyle was very easy going and when decided to change vehicles he was very understanding. While this is my first experience with Southbank Dodge, it has been a spectacular one. I would highly recommend that if you are looking for a New or Used vehicle, go check them out and ask for Kyle. He will treat you right.
I popped in on a Sunday as I was in the neighbourhood and they happened to be open which was the start of the best, least stressful car purchase experience I have ever had. Every member of the team was friendly. The overall approach was very cards on the table and low pressure. In the past I have typically dreaded buying a car, hating the pressure tactics, the sense of having somehow overpaid. None of that here. I feel like I got a great price for my trade in, a great price on my Jeep and everything was well explained. I wish all dealers were like this.
Drove up to service and asked how long for an oil change. I was told about 45 minutes. I walked around while waiting, looked at vehicles and even talked to General manager. After about an hour I returned to service and asked if my car was ready, the service rep. went to see and came back to tell me they hadn t started. I told them to never mind and to give me my car back. I conveyed this to the general manager and told him that is why the Mr. Lubes do well. I left and took my car to Mr. Lube for my oil change.
It's all about the after purchase service center, drive in drop off garage, notifications up maintenance, validate if things are covered under warranty with out asking, over all always a good experience.
Service was fast and friendly. Highly recommend. Much better service than the other dodge dealers in town. They took care of my issues fast and provided an Uber to bring me to and from work. They really went above and beyond to accommodate.
I was happy to bring in my Ram 1500 for you to figure out issues. Your parking is to be desired. It took me 15 min to find my truck parked on gravel and dirty from very deep puddles. My issue is still ongoing but you also are making arrangements for loaner in which I very much appreciate. Hopefully my issues are rectified shorty
March 2019, I searched online for info on Dodge vans. Tyler Parker responded with patience to my many emails and questions. His guidance led to me purchasing a new van. Tyler's guidance was never intrusive or pushy. He respected my timelines, yet stayed in touch. Tyler was very helpful, arranged for a test drive, explored lease vs buy options and came up with several vans for our consideration -- in our price range. I recommend him to anyone who is looking for a vehicle - new, used or leased. At one point he put together packages that gave me an opportunity to compare features, prices etc.. He was in the background providing me with information and possibilities which helped me make the decision to purchase a new 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan. It has the features we needed and was affordable. I was looking for a new vehicle without my husband's vehicle knowledge and experience and was not comfortable doing the "shopping" on my own. My husband provided me with information, but due to a handicap was unable to see the vehicles in person. Tyler's approach was perfect. He was not pushy. We communicated thru emails until I finally met him at the dealership to test drive a van. Without Tyler's professionalism and patience -- I don't think I would have a vehicle that is exactly what we needed.
Charbel Nakhle listened to what I wanted and put together 3 financial options for me and included features, warranties and prices to choose from. He explained the pros and cons of each option and then suggested one that was perfect. It gave me some extended warranties, the features I needed and five years of service for the van. Charbel certainly knows how to help a customer select the best options. I didn't feel rushed or pressured. He took the time necessary to help me. I recommend him to anyone purchasing a new vehicle. He will put together the best package possible that meets your needs.
Best service I've ever had at a garage/service centre. And it's consistently great. The place is extraordinarily well-managed and the staff are very friendly, efficient and so respectful. I bring my Ford Focus here all the time and they treat me so well.
Where others places like Canadian Tire would try to guilt/trick me into buying unnecessary service and talk down to me like I'm ignorant, Southbank Dodge is the gold standard of service. And their prices are decent too!

The power of zero event at south bank dodge is a scam and just a waste of time. They make you go online and make you play game and ask you to come in to check if you win and its a pure form of scam . Please don't get fooled
My parents purchased their last vehicle here about nine years ago and from their account, it was an amazing experience. They recently purchased a new (used) vehicle here and through miscommunication with a new finance manager, things weren't done quite as they should be. As with any contract, I strongly advise everyone to go through the sales contract before signing to ensure there are no extras. We left feeling displeased. However, the general sales manager, Mr. Clayton Chenier called and personally apologized for what transpired, and in hindsight, I should have involved him much sooner. He spoke to all parties to ensure the events would not be repeated and made things right. Now that's stellar customer service, and it was greatly appreciated. Four stars, instead of a full five, only because the mix-up should not have occured. I would recommend Southbank.
