Big problems with service. My wife bought a brand new Jeep Cherokee at another dealership since Southbank couldn't even price match, but the vehicle had problems right from the beginning and she took it here since it was closer. Many of the electric components didn't work, and she had to take it back....not once, not twice, not 3 times but 4 times! Simple things like the 12V power adapter and the electrical adapter for the trailer they could not fix or even diagnose correctly....DUH. She lost over 8 hours time off work just dealing with them and having to take her car back again and again and leave it for days. They didn't even apologize for the inconvenience caused. Worst service department ever!!

The receptionist at the service desk is awesome. Friendly. Helpful. On. The. Ball. That is where the good part of this review ends. I have been to the dealership three times for oil/tire changes. The last two times, I have asked them to check the rust on the hood. Radio silence. Not a word from the spring tire change to the winter one. Problem is only getting worse. I had it detailed there once. My kids could have done a better job. Likewise bad experiencefor a dent I asked them to quote a repair on. No follow up. No follow through. I will go elsewhere from now on.
Terrible service. Shady business. They cannot give you a paper draft of the quote on a car you are interested in. I went in, early morning with a fairly good offer, I asked to keep the quote they provided me with and the sales associate was firm that he couldn't let me walk out with that paper, but promised me the quote would still be available by end of day. I took a picture of the quote. That evening I went in, looking to sign a deal on the same car, they gave me a different quote and practically treated me like I was delusional for coming up with the price I had. It was only when I showed them the picture of the qoute I had recieved that morning that the sales associates and financial managers started scrambling around; not to provide me the deal I had, but to come up with reasons as to why the price they offered me was that price...."oh sorry, that did not include taxes and admin fees, our morning staff may have not been completely attentive during your quote process"...when the picture I had, clearly stated that the quote was including taxes and all fees. It took us over three hours to get the deal I was looking...the staff acted like they were doing me a huge favor by commiting to the price I had been offered in the morning. I felt so uncomfortable with the purchase that I ended up walking away from the deal due to the lack of communication, proper service and professionalism in that sales department. It was an overall very shady treatment on behalf of the sales associates and financial managers.
We've been dealing with Southbank for many years now and this experience was no different than all the previous ones. We received very excellent service from the entire team that were involved in this purchase. Thanks so much to Stan Noble, Patrick Butler and Ala Alqasem for looking after us so well.
Was very pleased with the service of the sales person Tyler and Shawn. Tyler took the time to listen and did not pressure us into buying. Had to return to ensure the service that was requested was done which seems to have been overlooked.
Highly recommend the sales team at Southbank dodge. The recent experience we had with our purchase was by far the best. Our sales man Kyle McTaggart is knowledgeable patient and proficient. Kyle asked us the right questions in order to qualify and narrow down our search and found the perfect vehicle for us. The entire sales team works effectively and collaborates together on behalf of the customer. A+ five star rating.
Went in for a test drive of the Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk Elite. Spencer and Rami were great, left the place buying it. They definately had great customer service and very knowledgeable.
I had my Jeep Cherokee serviced at Southbank. I also got the gold detailing package and they did such a great job the car looks brand new. Tyler at Service was very professional, efficient, helpful and super patient.
Services was terrible, the work was not done properly, and new problems accrue after the initial service which was to be done...They claim that repair was done to the car,but without my permission ,and I was billed for it....manager was dogging my complains....after driving less than 5 KM there was a loud sound come from under the car, when looked in my rear view mirror there was something fell from the car,so I stop to retrieve the item, and was the thermostat which they changed .
Let me first mention mention that the front office person and one of the sales guys who helped me with my test drive were awesome! Other than that, it was one of the worst experiences in my life! I am new to Canada and was looking to buy my first car, and thankfully I didn't get it form here. Saw a used Ford Focus that I liked. The test drive went well, and I almost decided to buy this car. Then came my meeting with the sales/finance manager who tried to confuse and intimidate me. He told me at least a 50 times that all the banks have rejected my finance application and that he was trying to get me the best deal. A vehicle that was $15800 on the website was suddenly $18000 BEFORE TAX!!! He was unable to answer my question properly on why the increase in price and when he understood that I am not buying to his nonsense, he told me he will give me a call back in 30 minutes. That was 2 days ago. Never got a call and I am glad he never did, because I got a great deal with mycar.ca and their customer service is awesome! I DO NOT recommend this place to anybody!
Moe was excellent and really helpful. He made buying my truck very easy and quick. Southbank has a huge selection of trucks and I was able to find the truck wanted at a very good price. I definitely recommend buying from Southbank and more specifically from Moe.
Asked for a oil change and inspection of SUV. I thought we were talking about $90 in all. I was not told that this was just for the inspection report and oil change was additional. Thus got an invoice for $153.
Southbank was the only dealer who responded with actual useful information when I submitted a quote request from the main Dodge site. The other two dealers responded with fluff and pressure sales. In person, everyone was really friendly. As a passenger, I got to sit in the front seat for the test drive instead of the backseat, like with most other dealers we've dealt with. Kyle McTaggart was our sales consultant and he is friendly and easy-going. We didn't feel pressured to buy off the lot, but they offered us a great deal on a van that came with more features than we needed at the same price as what we had in mind, so we are happy. :)
I was greeted by numerous staff members. Everyone was friendly. My kids had fun playing with the toys in the waiting room and the cookies and fruit provided were a lifesaver. I would definitely recommend.
It was such a pleasure to have worked with Kyle McTaggart and Paul Curry during our new vehicle purchase recently. Kyle was informed and personable...a lovely experience all around.
Rebecca and Paul are AMAZING! Paul responded to every phone call, answered all our questions, made the entire process easy for us, worked very hard on our file and got our interest lowered by over 10%. He made sure we understood all the terms and was a very easy man to talk to. He's fun and energetic, and went well beyond any other person we've dealt with while buying a vehicle! Rebecca is a great person to talk to and is easy going, energetic and didn't even mind helping us "trick" our kids!!
When you are looking for a new or used vehicle Rebecca and Paul are the ones to call. They care about people and it shows!
Fantastic customer service! Everyone I dealt with had my best interest in mind! Thank you to Kyle, Moe, and Bobby for getting me more than I could have ask for! If you re ever in need of a new vehicle, I definitely would recommend going to south bank dodge!
First of all i would like to thank Rami and Brandon for all the help last week. Everything i needed they were there, first of all Brandon thanks for the loaner and for taking care of my needs, and of course Rami such a nice person ,me and my wife really appreciate everything you have done for us.Thank you guys and nothing but five stars all around.Great place to buy a car.Customer service at it's best.
I usually don't like to negotiate a car at a dealership. There's too much wasted time and it's usually a big hassle. I do my own research and, once decided on a vehicle, I prefer to use a broker to smooth out the buying process.
So, on that day, we walked into the dealership with the intention of just test driving a potential vehicle before making a final decision. We were immediately greeted by Prince who was very professional and friendly. He took us for test drive of a Jeep GC, showed us all of it's features and answered all our questions. Never did I felt presured into buying but I did let them evaluate my current vehicle enven though I intended to sell it privately. To my surprise, the numbers they provided, for both the trade-in and the new vehicle, met my expectatons and we quickly aggred to terms. It couldn't have been more pleasantly surprise by the quick and pain free negotiations.
I will glady recommend Southbank to other potental customers and will return there for my maintenance needs.
I had to replace a Grand Caravan written off in an accident and was referred by my insurance agent. The first thing I learned through the hard work of the sales rep and the general sales manager was that the replacement value of the vehicle had been badly understated in the insurance quote. Through their diligence I received considerably more money from the insurance settlement toward obtaining a vehicle with all the features and more of the one I was replacing. My wife and I were more than satisfied with our experience at this dealership. Staff were friendly, knowledgeable and caring. For example, we bought winter tires and the sales rep came by our home to pick up the old summer tires to use those rims for mounting the snow tires, all at no additional cost. Based on our experience we plan to bring our minivan there for servicing, despite it being quite a distance from our home.
Service is reliable and respectful. But it is busy. Even if you make an appointment, you may have to wait in order to get through the mass of customers.
They were fabulous! Pj the mechanic took the time to explain things that he was doing to my car, everyone there was very kind, and the coffee was even hot! There was no pressure! I would totally recommend him!! He cares! He takes the time when you don t understand!
Today was a GREAT day. I had to leave my JEEP overnight because of a battery issue. Today when I went to pick up the car, everything went well: no battery problem after all; they repaired an annoying rattle in the car and someone actually buffed out a scratch on the passenger door. I also ordered some Weather Tech mats (which I had been ordering since October 2018) and was told they would be in tomorrow morning. Today was a great day Thank you everyone
This was up and beyond anything I've ever experienced in my entire life. My morning was exceptional and Davy and even found time to make a timmies out stop. As I was saying, I then took notice of the pretty little blonde sitting by the entrance door of this new business in town. The name of it was??? Geez, I can't remember but it's kind of like a magic vibrating social club that stays opened till the wee hours of the morning. Anthony, I couldn't take my eyes off her, this is how pretty she was. I had it all planned out, walk by her, drop my pen on the ground, go to pick it up and then proceed to make eye contact with her and then say hello. So I start my planned out journey, walk right by her like she didn't even exist and then went home to make myself a red bean salad with artichokes. And guys...Debbie Does do the entirety of Dallas!!! Lol
Service was ok but still haven't fixed my transmission problem properly, still down shifts hard from 3-1 and and not 3-2-1 like a normal transmission should. I'm not happy that this still has not been resolved by Chrysler
Great help from Armando But, things slowed down after deal made. Truck promised for Mon, then Fri, Don t have it yet; hope I get it soon Some options back ordered till Nov; they did take the money for them now though. Wanna bet they will not arrive by Nov next . Parts person, Chris, helpful in ordering options.
OKAY, so at first I was going to give a 5 star review, my buying process was a great one, happy staff and cooperative people, my salesmen was phenomenal! However --, 2 weeks after buying my Ram 1500, the call me asking for the steps back!! So back on pick up day for the new truck there was steps on it, I pointed our that I did not ask or pay for steps, they said not too worry about it. SO I didn't, I took home my new truck. A MONTH later they're now demanding I make a service appointment to give them back, I work nights so this is not an easy task to for me. To be honest I don't care to have them or not, but I don't have time to come wait for them to take them off
Got my lovely Journey Crossroad from here. We had only been in the country for barely 3 weeks and needed to get a family car fast, this was the first dealership that actually understood what we needed and gave us options within our range. Being new to the country, there were A LOT of things we did not clarify. Months later while going through the papers we didn't fully understand everything that had happened. Rami , great down to earth guy, met with us and answered all our questions and we were not satisfied with how some things were handled, Dave the General Manager got in touch with us and worked with us until we were completely satisfied with the outcome, even though most of the fault was ours for signing stuff without first reading through. Excellent Customer service, great staff and will definitely recommend to all!
I dropped my vehicle off for an oil change and wheel change. Got a call an hour later for some brake work that was not scheduled. I figured this would take an extra 90-120 minutes. After 2 hours, asked about status. Was told 30 more minutes. 90 Minutes later, I see my vehicle is ready but not the paperwork. 45 Minutes later, still no paperwork. It was prepared as I waited but my lifetime oil change was charged on my bill. Another bill prepared and I finally got out of the dealership. 5 Hours total. Not acceptable. Free WiFi and cookies kept me from blowing a gasket .
Update:
I received a phone call from the Brand Manager at SouthBank Dodge. He offered their sincere apologies for my inconvenience in waiting too long for the paperwork to be completed. He ensured me they were going to review the process to see what went wrong and correct it so it doesn't happen again. I was also offered some compensation for my experience that was acceptable.
I appreciate the timely follow-up from Southbank Dodge to discuss my experience and work on correcting the situation.
My next service appointment Mar. 1/19.
I brought my Jeep in for its next service. After they ran a diagnostic test, it was explained to me with graphics that a few of the wheels needed an alignment. After agreeing to the work, my vehicle was ready in an appropriate timeframe. I was kept up to date on its progress as I waited. I had a very pleasant experience. Thank you Southbank.
Bad business practices. Spoke with Jeannie Rombough Sales (agent) many times and reached an agreement on price and terms for a Jeep Srt. Jeannie had said that she had cleared the agreement with her sales manager. Then sales manager (maybe hers) Dan Feldman came over and changed the agreed to terms, naturally I refused as we had already agreed to terms. Received a call back from Chris Desjardins (finance manager) and he asked if he could help with the problem, I explained the situation and never heard back. This has been my second negative experience with Southbank Dodge.
Not honouring an agreement is as bad of a practice as you get in business.
Thanks for your call Clayton, I appreciate the apology, same final result. I've upgraded to two stars for the acknowledgement of error.
Beware of this place. I see many of them reviews are about new first time purchases which Southbank is great and known for. We had a GREAT buying experience, BUT they get you at the service. This is where they get there money back. Service is terrible. They'll drain you. And if your buying use, beware of they're extended warranty option. You get screwed there as well. Never buying another vehicle from Southbank again and took my service and recommendations somewhere else!
Great service, great experience, these guys know how to make you feel that you are getting great value for your business and meet your needs, thank you Rami and Hassan. They not only sell cars, they offer experience, passion and Knowledge in the business. They offer great financial advising to make sure you get what you need and what you can afford. Hassan is a big boss selling cars, his client service is 10 out of 10, they were so patient with us and our son, they have a space for kids, and great service after buying your car.
The quality and level of professional customer service i recieved at south bank dodge was by far the best hands down. They dont just raise the bar they are the bar when it comes to getting you the most bang for your buck. The two people i had the pleasure of dealing with to get me the best deal was Paul Curry and Jenna Piche. They managed to get me out of a bad situation with my trade in and into the truck that i wanted and for that i thank them. If you want a power house duo that will get you what you want, ask for Jenna and Paul they are the bar when it comes to sales and finance
Amazing service. Southbank always puts their clients first, i ve showed up needing last minute service on my vehicle with no appointment and Southbank fit me in their schedule. Never any let downs. Always great smiles and efficient service. Keep up the positive vibes guys shout out to Decio, thank you so much man
Southbank Dodge Service Centre always gives excellent service at a fair price. Dan was our service manager for today s appointment, and he was friendly & courteous as always, while handling things in a fast & efficient way. The work was done in the time frame promised: they installed our snow tires, did the seasonal check-up and also sorted out a problem that had just come up with the coolant system. We would highly recommend this service centre.
This is my second truck there, and it has been the worst service I have had in a long time. I am now at over a year to get a aftermarket RIMS fixed which they sold me and installed. Service never calls me back and lies in my face when I have proof otherwise. When confronted they say they don't know what to tell me.
I had to rephrase this entire google review. The experience I had at this dealership was traumatizing. I could not express in kind words how awful I was treated when I was shopping at Southbank. I will never spend a dollar at this dealership and I would advise the same for everyone else in the market. Stay far away from this place as possible.
The best part of the wash is the salt stains are gone. Other than that, my car seats were very wet when I got back into my car. My front windshield window is super streaked. Two days later, my car smells like old socks.
Hasan was incredibly professional and helpful when I was purchasing my vehicle at Southbank. From the moment I walked in the door, all my questions and needs were attended to without hesitation. The process of buying my car was a breeze, with everything seamlessly taken care of by Hasan and his team. Within days I was driving away with an amazing vehicle at great value. I would highly recommend anybody contact Hasan if they are thinking about purchasing a new or used vehicle. Regardless of your budget, I m sure the team over at Southbank will take good care of you and find you a good fit.
Service is solid here. Notable kudos to Jeff the service advisor. He aims to please and has gone above and beyond for me. Give this man a raise. Service Department is an easy 5 *****.
Sales Department is polar opposite. They talk the talk and cannot close the deal with me. Tried 3 times to buy from them and all 3 times ended up making a purchase somewhere else. 5***** rating does not apply to them.
I would strongly advise you shop elsewhere. My family purchased vehicles there, and for too many years went back for servicing. The prices charged always seemed a bit dubious. But it became a bit too much when they repeatedly charged us, many many times, for the same repair service, never actually fixing the problem. Finally, they issued us a goodwill credit ($150), but then they promptly grabbed that back in their diagnosis fee for the next problem, without actually doing anything to address that problem either. Their repair estimate was HUGE. We went elsewhere (Active Green & Ross) and had the problem actually diagnosed AND FIXED for less than the $150 we paid SB Dodge for nothing. Sometimes loyalty to a dealership is just not a good idea.
I got the coupon for oil change. They received me right away. Very polite, very busy staff. Got the oil changed in record time. They advise me to change the battery because of the leaking acid. They told me something about heat shield under my car. But I only asked for an estimate for my battery. I find this all a good experience.
Very unprofessional and overpriced. After suggesting multiple repairs that weren't necessary (which we discovered after consulting with other mechanics), we refused the repairs and they still charged over $200 for simply looking at the vehicle. A simple oil change ended up costing over $300. Will never return and do not suggest that you do either!
I was so impressed with the service at Southbank Dodge. I brought my 06 Ford Ranger in for a Magnaflow offroad pro series exhaust. My catalytic converter was very rusty on the part where the exhaust was to be installed in, but did that stop them? HELL NO, these people want to make you happy! Other dealers would of told me to get a new converter for the lovely price of at least 300 bucks before installation, but Southbank not only managed to make the installment work with my converter, but they also got a flange (a part they needed to attach the exhaust) in short time. I rally love how it looks, not to mention it sounds fantastic!!! I am very impressed with the work. the labor was not too expensive considering they had to really work to get this exhaust on, about 475 dollars. I am very happy, Guy (one of the service people) was extremely friendly and you can tell that he really enjoys his work. What really made me happy is that Guy would tell me exactly what was being done, and how much it would be with tax in, not just an estimate. he makes it plain and simple, this is what it is, this is how much it is. They saved me some money by being able to work with my converter which I'm very grateful for. being a college student, saving money is key hahaha. now I can drive my roaring beast to college this September and it's all thanks to this dealership. The work is affordable and high quality. I most certainly recommend people to check this place out!
Very poor service. Appointment for 830 at 11 they took in the truck. Later that day they told me the truck would not be done until the following day by 10 Am. I drove to the dealer around 2 the next day Figuring it might be done and lone and behold it was sitting out front. I waited another 45 minutes For a phone call before I finally just went in. I was told it was Just brought out and this was not the case, The service advisor was very argumentative and took no responsibility. Also my truck has grease all over the leather seats. Never again will I go there.
I was looking for my dream car, a 2016 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited and every dealer I went to would tell me it'd be impossible to find at the price I wanted it, as it was late in the year. Brandon and his team managed not only to find me my dream car, but they found an extremely rare version of it.. the 75th anniversary edition. Such a beautiful car, and I'm in love with it. Extremely easy and comfortable experience, would recommend them to anyone interested in buying a Jeep.
I have to agree with the last two reviews. I have had nothing but bad, costly, ineffective service from this place. On my last visit there, the rep at the repair desk just totally exuded slime with his attempted manoeuvrings. They should hire Jerry Lundegaard (Fargo); he'd fit right in.
Great experience at South Bank Chrysler. Pat was great to deal with, he was not a pushy salesman at all! He was attentive and listened to what kind vehicle I wanted and worked with me to make it happen. Would recommend South Bank, and especially Pat!
Not a great experience. From start to end nothing was good. Just got off the line with Dave general manager and basically said you spent 40,000 on a truck and its been a few years nothing i can do to help. Please go to another dealer. :( Dont spend money here go to another dealership
Tyler and Chris gave excellent customer service and met all of the needs required for a service department. Communication was A1. Would highly recommend.
**Edit to say that I am very happy with the quick responses and apologies from both Dan and Christopher via here and phone. I am glad that this was taken as a learning opportunity for all involved. Due to this, I have given another star as there are some great people there, and the sales team has been great with us both times we have bought here. As well as sponsoring our fundraiser by donating raffle prizes.**
Today's sevice appointment was very disappointing. I went in to get a window fixed which had fallen into the door panels due to broken clips, and get a computer flash done for a safety recall. Appointment should have took 2 hours max, especially seeing as how it was booked for 8:30am on a Tuesday, and was booked a week in advance. It took over an hour to be told that yes, the clips are broken and that they will see if they have any in stock. I see my truck being pulled out and parked to the side at 11:10 am. A few minutes later I get told by the advisor I was dealing with, that they are just waiting to get some coding for the invoice and will let me know when it is done. 12:30pm I ask what is going on as my truck has been sitting done for almost an hour and a half (my advisor was not around, I later find out she was on lunch.) They tell me the invoice hasn't been completed but because it was covered under warranty, they will give me my key and email my invoice. I head on my way and as soon as I hit 25km/hr my doors lock automatically, as they should, only the driver's door (the one I had the window fixed on) wouldn't lock and would just vibrate rapidly. Obviously the person working on my truck didn't put things back together right. I immediately turn around and head back to the dealership. I let my advisor know and see what was happening with the lock and her response was "well he's on lunch right now." I told her I had already been waiting 4 hours and don't really have much more time to wait as I have to pick up my daughter from school by 3 and need to get to the West end first. She asked if I could wait a half hour until lunch was done. I said fine. 1:30 and my truck is back. Advisor shows me that the lock os now working. And all I get was a quick sorry.
The service department here is a huge hit or miss (as I have other similar stories, including being told work was done within another 4 hour wait, only to get home and receive a phone call stating they were mistaken, the work was never done as they don't have the part in stock.) I have now bought two trucks through Southbank and am strongly thinking of not buying anymore through them, solely due to the service department. I have stuck with Southbank as I know about their involvement with the community and charities, however, the way the service department treats their customers (of over 6 years at that) at times is starting to, sadly, out way that the good.
I have so much to say and not sure where to begin, but, will start with AMAZING experience!
I sadly did not buy my vehicle from South Bank but have no doubt if I did, that I would receive impeccable customer service. I had to bring my vehicle in for a wheel balance and they took care of me very well. Asked me about all of my concerns, what other issues I might have had etc. They called me an Uber right away and then did their diligence with calling me to say it was ready. I had to pick up after service was closed but the receptionist was very professional. I retuned today as I felt that there was another issue I forgot to mention and Dan the service advisor greeted me professionally and with a smile and said he would take care of my concerns. He called me to talk to the technician so I could explain what I had experienced and then followed up with me to say my vehicle was ready and what they had done and then called me an Uber to go back. When I got there, I was again greeted with a smile and he called me by my name. Things like this really matter in today's world as people only ever focus on the negative interactions. Dan took me parts to get a price on tires, showed me the tires I'd be getting and helped ease my mind about owning a van for the first time and driving my first winter with it. He walked me to my car to show me where the locknut was and offered to drive the van out for me! I asked him to speak with his manager to give Kudos and had to write it here. Dan is an exceptional worker and an asset to South Bank. He is good at what he does and helps you understand your car better. Everyone at souhtbank is wonderful and I'm having a hard time understanding how anyone can say anything negative. I have been driving for over 25 years and have had many, many experiences with service departments and never had such a positive experience. Why did I wait so long to service my car here? Lol... Free winter tires would be nice..tee hee! You have a customer for life and one that will rave about you to anyone needing a car or service. Keep up the good work!
they explained the problems about my jeep. and fixed it pretty well. They didnt throw parts at my older vehicle and suggest ways to work around the promble in cheaper ways.
Buyer beware! Go anywhere other than here! Horrible experience and I would caution everyone not to go here. They had an opportunity to make things right but their pure greed for taking advantage of buyer exceeded their tainted business practice. I was a loyal customer for over 20 years and when I pointed out an error they excepted zero responsibility. All they care about is making the sale and after you walk out the door, you are nothing to them.
