Worst experience, be very careful when buying from this company, I paid a fortune for a gaming laptop and in 2 months the screen started to go black randomly, I messaged them straight away and only got an automated response saying they would get back to me but never did, I updated the graphics card and turned off for the day and it seemed OK, but it wasn't, the screen kept going black and now its totally gone, I tried to contact them but my year warranty expired 3 months ago, all I got was a "sorry we can't help" unless I pay them to fix. I contacted them 2 months after purchasing and no reply and now that my warranty is gone they can reply within a day. All I'm saying is be very careful when buying anything expensive from them.
Business partner bought a refurbished phone through the business, which turned out to be blacklisted. Asked for immediate replacement as he was without an effective phone, but this was refused and instead subject to collection, return and checking of the blacklisted phone first. Don't know the source of the refurbished phones, but clearly they should be checked for blacklisting, and should be from a reputable source. I don't want to imply that this company is deliberately taking stolen phones, but clearly measures to prevent it have not been adequate.
Obviously not impressed by the phone, but also the response to such a shocking matter.
I can find no cause for complaint.
Product was 10% cheaper than anywhere else, delivery was next day in an agreed hourly slot, product was as described in perfect working order.
You don't really know how good a company is until things go wrong but thankfully they didn't so its 5 stars from me!

Ordered a laptop on Friday, showing as 10+ availability. paid for next working day delivery. Delivery on Monday didn't happen, 3 phone calls and 3 messages and about 2 hours of my life to find out the laptop isn't available. I have used this company several times in the past and they were good but this time they were appalling, they have lost a customer for good due to their incompetence
Poor service on discovering a faulty good
Had to chase for over a month (some contact numbers don't work and they are poor at responding to eMessage) when return finally dealt with, took the full 5days to process and then only gave me a partial refund. Had to call again to get card surcharge and delivery refunded,... Really shouldn't have to (statutory consumer right to refund as faulty) and the premium line numbers cost me several pounds to call each time to deal with this - if I could rate them "0" I would. Do not use, pay the extra and go to a customer centric retailer who understands their obligations or values repeat business.AVOID

Absolutely devastated. Bought a new computer to do uni work on from the company, already struggling money wise because of covid but wasn't something I could really go without. PC wasn't right for me so I returned it, returned the PC with tracked delivery back which cost me an extra 25 pounds. Had no contact despite emailing several times, return says it is closed when I try to contact them even though I know they have received the PC due to the tracked delivery. Disappointed as I wanted to use the company again in future but struggling without my money and have heard nothing about getting it back!
Having bought and subsequently returned a cheap cctv elsystem elsewhere, I turned to Laptops Direct. The new system works great and the service I received was first class.
Excellent service. Ordered Saturday. Delivered before 12 on the Monday. I had a poor experience with a large company so was particularly pleased that Laptops Direct were the polar opposite of that. Very happy.
Bought a reconditioned HP over the phone services. Good service, swift dispatch, accurate delivery (DPD), and it works! Slight stutter with installing Office 365 and rude services support at their end (nothing to do with Laptops Direct). Our first experience has been successful so pleased and thanks.

We have now been let down on at least 3 occasions by Laptops Direct with delivery problems and quality. The latest issue was the company advertising Zoostorm products as in stock for next day delivery but not actually being in stock. We were expecting a delivery today only to get an email and be told it will not be delivered until next week. Won't be using this company again

Ordered a laptop which was never delivered. For six weeks I called and emailed daily trying to get an explanation or refund, but was ignored and hung up on. I had to open a PayPal dispute before they acknowledged me (which still somehow took them another week.)
They told me that my money - which I had borrowed, and was paying interest on - would be refunded within the next couple of days. It took another week. I never recieved any compensation for the fact they took my money for almost two months, or really an apology.
I understand things are weird right now, but theres no staff shortage/delivery difficulty/etc. which can justify taking a customer's money without delivering the product. It's theft. I wasn't able to work or earn for months, while still paying interest on a loan which laptops direct had taken from me. I have had to rely on food banks and charity from my family, and I'm not sure how long it will take my career to recover from such a long, unexplained absence.

Ordered a lenovo on next day delivery two weeks ago and they sent the wrong one. I sent it back straight away after multiple phone calls to get them to arrange pick up with dpd, but still two weeks later waiting for my refund... I have no laptop as they have my money, and I'm losing work through no laptop... worst service and customer service I've ever received from any company. I'd suggest using another company.
good monitor, should be its a Phillips and no problems with buying or delivery, although delivery costs were expensive.
Good price on a refurbished laptop. HOWEVER they charged for delivery to the Huddersfield store then didn't deliver it there as promised. Wasted journey. They also overcharged me for an extended warranty after quoting a price via email. Tried calling back to cancel and was told it had to go to another team and would take 3 days for them to get back to me.
And when I was in the store explaining this, the guy I spoke to couldn't have cared less about the problems. Didnt even say sorry so I can only assume this happens so often it's just normal for them.
Don't expect any decent customer service.

Shockingly bad customer service, misrepresentation on their website claiming products are in stock when they aren't in order to get your custom, lying directly to you about issues, ignoring emails and cancelling orders without any notification. Avoid at all costs.

I placed an order for a Laptop with a high specification which I needed the next day so paid for overnight delivery.
I was in desperate need of a laptop so decided to keep the one delivered and I would buy another one in a week or 2 as I fully expected that Laptops Direct would just refund the difference .
I asked them how many times they sent out lower spec machines and they accepted that they do this but do not refund money .
Please be aware and check what you receive is in fact what you order.
They are currently under investigation by Trading Standards and Watchdog.

Never use this company. They are awful. They say goods have been sent, nothing arrived. Chase it, and even the sales man said that the service they offer "wasn't the best service". Ordered a Nintendo Switch on next day delivery, two days later still not here, daughters birthday tomorrow, all presents based around this, and now ruined. 4 times been told will get a call back, never do. Sales men just try and fob you off. They are ripping people off and will not use them again. Curtis was the person we spoke to last, and he just wasnt bothered at all. Horrible, and rude person.
The delivery was really fast. I had my laptop one day after i order it. The problem is that i can not even use it. 3 days trying to loggin but nothing. They gave me a laptop that already have a user account that is not me and a password that i don't know!!!! Every time i call them no one answer and the chat with them is impossible they don't know how to fix this problem.
How is possible to not be able to use a laptop that you just bought ??!!!! I already send them a lot of emails but no one reply to any of them....

I called them the next day. All they could do was report It to someone else and they would get back to me within 48 hours. I told them I needed to know if it was coming or not as it was a birthday present for my son. They didn't care, and couldn t help me, computer says no! I asked for a refund but they could only request one! So I have no idea if I will receive the product or a refund or nothing! In the meantime I will have to go to a proper retailer! A Joke

Had a dreadful experience. Their delivery process are wholly unsuited to a consumer model. They deliver 8am to 6pm Mon-Fri with no indication of a narrower time slot. They don't drop off at a neighbour. They don't drop off at a post office when a delivery fails. They don't allow you to change the delivery address. Good product, dreadful business model.

On using Windows at home and work for the majority of my life, I've found Windows 10 is OK too. Although I've heard bad stories from when you have Windows 8 and upgrade to 10.

Purchased an All-In-One. Costs not mentioned on the listing then take your final sum up a bit.... received the PC in good time but was in complete. Had to wait a further three days to get a keyboard and mouse that worked! Customer care were very good and did sort it, just quality control on goods leaving the warehouse could be better. Apart from the issues i would use again.

I'd post zero star if I could. Ordered laptop on 27/03 specifically from Laptops Direct in order to get it 31/03 (tomorrow) which is the delivery stated on their website. I log on to the website to see my products are 'Awaiting Stock'. Why have them in stock on the website? They are money hungry and don't care about customers. Stupidly I read the reviews after I purchased from them. Its evident I am not the first and wont be the last this happens to. Still waiting to hear back from them. No doubt I will be getting their copied and pasted reply of how sorry they are.
