It was reasonably priced, delicious bbq with great service!

Never disappointed with Sonnys. The brisket is to die for!

Our waitress Mattie was so sweet to us. She led us to our table & was our waitress and was attentive and kind. The food was great, I had turkey and my husband had brisket. The sides were good and we noted our meal very much.

Service was terrible food was by far the worst we've ever had in a Sonny's. Brought out the egg rolls and said oh they're a little burnt let me know if you can eat them how about not bring them up to the table and get new ones. Also never once refilled our drinks. Then had to wait for fresh coleslaw to be made came at the end of my meal after I was done eating no apology no nothing I don't think we'll be going back to this Sonny's and it's the newest one and our friends love it not sure why though...

Ribs are great love the original bbq, good, fast service

Ordered curbside pick up for 711pm pickup. After 4 phone calls and 40 minutes late, I finally got my food

Good quick food we needed to be in and out quickly for an appointment and our server did just that.

This place was great, what a pleasant surprise. Brisket, cornbread, coleslaw, mac and cheese, it was all the bomb! Yummy

I farted walking past all the booth seats as I was escorted to my table. Oh the pulled chicken was good but a little dry. Macaroni & cheese was swell. I wonder if I'll fart again as I leave. Maybe a silent but deadly.

Also I overheard a stranger near my table say "The cornbread is so good it's like eating cake."

BBQ in a casual and modern setting, it's hard to go wrong here, though obviously vegetarian options are limited to the salad bar

Great service and welcoming ambiance. The food is delicious! Whether it be appetizers, their meal deal with side and a drink, or their 2 for 1 drink specials.. Definitely a go-to place to bring your friends and family.

Wish this was closer. The best bbq and brisket I've had in a long time.

Greeted with a smile and "Welcome to Sonny's." Waitress was friendly, attentive, and professional. Food served faster than expected, and was fresh and delicious. The only small negative was we were seated under one of the large ceiling fans, and lighting was dim. Some difficulty reading the menu.

Red neck egg rolls were great and so was dry rubbed ribs and. Okra .. Great service and great food

Typical red oak smoked fast food. Good meat, good suace, quick in and out if they know you. If you like a good sandwich for lunch try the brisket on garlic toast and a order of okra in place of fries. Do understand if you order a chicken here you are going to see a small bird. The salad bar is also pretty good.

Great food, clean restaurant, personable servers. Service was efficient and food served quickly. Sonny's used to offer a few senior priced meals for around $8.00, including tea/soda, between 1-6pm. Apparently they have discontinued that. No discount was given to us, but we would return to this establishment.

Food was great. Service is above average. Wait time is often expected due to its location in a college town. Definitely will be going again for years to come

I simply don t understand why they cannot get an order right. The last THREE times I have ordered with them through Uber Eats my order has been missing something. I was foolish enough to be fooled three times because I always want to give the benefit of the doubt but never again. However, what they do put in the bag usually tastes like I expect so that s the ONLY reason I am giving two stars.

Always good food and reasonable. Lots of kids and families in this location do can get noisy.

Great BBQ, they really are back and number one in town again.

They are not requiring masks in doors away from tables, so when I'm waiting for take out any rando can breathe on me.

I have been coming to Sonny's for 40 years now. We have eaten at Sonny's in many states and have always had a great time with excellent food. The helpings are generous, and the servers are consistently friendly.

Our favorite location is on Archer Road in Gainesville, Florida. The restaurant is well run, food comes quickly, and you can't beat the value and quality of their platters and all you can eat options.

Whether your appetite is small or large, you'll love Sonny's. And, don't forget to take home a bottle of your favorite sauce!

I love Sonny's, one of the things I miss most about Gainesville and college. Not the healthiest food around, so don't eat it day in and day out.

Wonderful host named Cesear, wonderful waitresses and great food.

Food was good, server was VERY inattentive so I did not tip her well like I normally would tip.

Just visited for the first time with my boyfriend. I ordered the BBQ sampler which came with brisket, ribs, pulled pork, pulled chicken and 2 sides. I have texture issues with dry, stringy meat so I made sure to ask the waitress to be completely sure that the meat wouldn't be dry. The pork and ribs were delicious, soft and juicy but the chicken was incredibly dry and I kept getting bones in my meat. I wouldn't be so upset, but unfortunately I feel like I was skimped on the stuff I actually enjoyed eating. Half the meat portion was dry chicken with a little bit of everything else. I thought a sampler would have equal portions of everything but I only had a small amount of pork and 2 thin slices of brisket with my mound of dry, crusty chicken and 2 ribs. The banana pudding is to die for though, I'll give them that.

Love the salad bar and Big deal combo. Everything was fresh and service was good.

Always enjoy going to Sonny's, I wish the one in St. Cloud, FL would reopen.

Delicious! Table ordered a variety of entrees and sides. ALL were presented as ordered, all warm, all at same time. Steakburger is best burger I've had in a LONG time. Manager stopped by. Good exchange. Engaging. Wait staff was superb. Timely checkups. Personable and professional. Excellent patron experience! From 1970 first Sonny experience to last one today 2020. It just keeps getting better...

50 years of consistent BBQ at reasonable price. Staff was friendly. Four great sauces.if you go away hungry it's your fault.

We came to town for loved ones heart surgery.. Went in 20 til close to do take out and then switched to dine in(i know, awful, im a server) and they were patient and wonderful and the food was delicious :) baby backs were meaty and tender

It was okay, just not as good as I remember. Sorry, but the slice pork did taste or look like sliced pork.

All Sonny's ARE rustic, standardized dishes. No baked potatoes only sweet. 20-22 bucks will give you a full meal.
