It was good I prefer the one here by my house. But they did work with us on what my picky eating kids wanted so I do give them kuddos on that behalf. Staff was prompt, bathrooms were clean.

Not what it used to be. The food was awful! I will never go back.

Gainesville still has a few Sonny's (including the one that started it all). Avoid the Sonny's on 39th and head to the newly renovated restaurant here on Archer Rd. Food is better, service is MUCH better, and the new look is great.

Already many visitors have shown that we are in a favorite facility and it really was. Speed, quality, willingness to 25 stars, just and just recommend. 25 because we were 5 and each gave 5 stars.

Ate dinner here before the Gator game. Good was good but my granddaughter was disappointed that they did not have broccoli salad like our Sonny's in Eustis Florida does.

Ribs were the best I've had. Gives best customer service and friendly people. Each time I go I right a review. So the next time might be different .Keep up the good work.

Waitress was very nice, food was great, our table was a little dark, no lighting above or nearby.

Sonny's is an institution, so when they started in on their big rebranding thing, we were a bit concerned. Didn't need to worry. This newly built and freshly rebranded Sonny's still has the same great BBQ as always, just caters a bit more to the college crowd. The noise level on our first visit was obnoxious and we hadn't been back for a while. But our last visit was much improved and not so frenetic. Sonny's is trying to up its game a bit with some fancy new menu items, but thankfully they've still got the classics.

Best For Dining In. As well as ordering out great service and great food!

I eat here often. Reasonable prices and good service paired with good BBQ keep me coming back.

Love Sonny's, but had a terrible experience at this one on this particular day.

Garlic bread was stale, not freshly toasted and only 1 piece on the platter. Meat was cool not warm even. Won't be back to this Sonny's.

Stop at Sonny's wherever we travel since So.Fla. locations closed. Brunswick Stew and Pulled Pork are my favorites!!! But everything they have is great.

We are visiting from Los Angeles and decided to stop by this place on our way back to Orlando and this is absolutely amazing. I have ate at a lot of BBQ places throughout the U.S and the food here is amazing and the all you can eat option is unbelievable and simply speechless. I've never seen anything like it. Super satisfied customer and will be bragging about this place for weeks. Janinne our server was also great and made the experience that much better.

The staff is always friendly and attentive, the establishment is always clean, the bathrooms are also clean, the sides are always yummy and come out how they're supposed to, but the last 3 times I have been there either me, my husband, or someone we are dining with finds pieces of bone in the pulled pork.

Good quick bar b que. Redneck egg rolls are very good.

Pulled pork and fried okra on point. Called in a to-go order at 2:00 PM and walked out with everything in under 15 minutes. Quality of service and food were both equally outstanding.

The best BBQ style ... I always go .. I fell in love with their BBQ pork burgers

Hey my friend got the Sonny's last night and we had tried a new brisket and cheese and let me tell you something it is really good I loved it

Just like all there restaurants the staff is friendly and bbq is great. And since this one is in Gainesville where it all started they really stepped up their game the place was imaculate and even at 5pm the food was brought out fresh and fast.

The restaurant was so cold inside that it was difficult to relax and enjoy my meal. Other than that, it was good. And they don't have real butter for the corn on the cob. Bring a sweater.

I have had a lot of BBQ in my life, Sonny's is by far the best!

Pulled pork sandwich made with garlic bread and sweet ice tea. Fabulous meal.

Sonny has definitely improved these last couple years!! The one on Archer rd got a facelift and is very clean with good service

Price was fair, food portions were large, and salad bar is a good option. The booths are large and we were able to sit 7 which makes large group waiting times lower.

typically have a postive experience when we come but tonight our waitress was not so great. she lacked personality and seemed bored. she forgot our appetizer and didnt bring it out until after she brought out our food. our food looked like it had been someone elses food. there was barbecue sauce all over the plate and on top of the bun of a pulled pork sandwich that is supposed to come out with no sauce on it. the potato salad didnt look fresh. i sent it back and all the kitchen did was put a new top bun on the sandwich. the plate was still dirty. the pork was mostly fat, and potato salad still not fresh. no to mention we didnt get any silverware until our food had sat in front of us for a good 5 minutes. we both left after barely eating any food and both got an upset stomach shortly after.

My husband and I had about wrote Sonnys off to NEVER dining there again. Weve had Bad Service, Poor Food Qualuty, FROM Lake City to Gainrsville just lazy, servers. Today " PANDA" oyr server SAVED THE DAY She was on top of her Game, kept our drinks loaded with ice and full, kept the area clean, made eye contact during our meal and was pleasant and professional and friendly !! Sharpest looking Sonny's I've been in. Beautiful facilities, awesome food. You won't be disappointed. Bought some Sonny's dry rub to try at home in the land of no Sonny's restaurants.

Mac n cheese is horrible but everything else was good

This Sonny's has a lot of wonderful food and the service is great! The best part about it is if you were going to feed a family of four, the family feast is what you need to get! It has a great sampler platter of every kind of smoked meat they have.

Service was good. We were there after 8 on Friday. Ribs and chicken were not up to par. Pretty dry from being held too long. Sliced pork and sides were good. Go early for good food.

Broccoli was extremely salty and ribs were burnt. Really sucks cause my wife loves Sonny's baby backs. So at least once a week i surprise her with them and they let her down. But they will be replacing that meal tomorrow!

Large 6 person takeout order. All meals were correct and unanimously delicious.

A Gainesville staple, but I miss the non-corporate atmosphere and the cartoon Sonny. Same food and AYCE specials though!

I put 4 stars just to stand out, and everything suits me even though for the Ukrainians the fat was not very tasty, the staff was not bad enough, they quickly prepared, also a very large menu, a very beautiful interior in nutria, I advise everyone.

The worst curbside experience I've had. Ordered food in advance, just to arrive and wait in the car for 40 minutes - longer considered we got out and waited at the door. One waitress delivering orders, if people didn't pay in advance she had to take the card inside and bring the receipt back to be signed, then go back in for another order. After waiting in the car for 40 minutes, we got out to join THREE other families standing at the door for their curbside orders - that are supposed to be delivered to our vehicle. I wish we didn't pay AND tip in advance because I would have left. And the fact that the lobby wasn't full? This experience was unacceptable.
