Sonny's BBQ Review

So glad to see this chain making a comeback. The restaurant was clean, spacious, and smelled like a back yard BBQ done right! When the smoke and smell of wood & food pulls you in off the highway you know it s done right. BBQ, pork is what I had and it was out in a timely manner, but tasted like it had been slow cooked in a smoker all day. It was juicy and tender! Cornbread was awesome as well. All at about the same price as you would pay at a fast food restaurant.

My fries and sweet tea was just right. I was please with my cashier.

Sonny's never disappoints with their food ABSOLUTELY LOVE , But their night time take out cashier Ms.Kadejah on the other hand is veryyy rude everytime I come to pick up an order. She needs to go back through her customer service training. I had to ask for sauces, I never got any napkins or utensils. I could understand if they were backed busy but they weren't. Highly disappointed

Great food and the very best salad bar. Our waitress was friendly and thoughtful. Sonny's BBQ definitely hit the spot.

I ordered online when I showed up in the Archer store parking lot about 12:47. The email receipt said order ready about 1:08. At 1:25(after I called) someone came out and told me they usually only use space 1-5 for pickup. I am in 11 since the email states grab a spot in our parking lot and one of our team will bring your order... In addition, when I arrived 40 minutes before those spots were pretty full.
And she hands me the bag.

So, She s pawning off an about 20 minute old order. When I mentioned that she seemed shocked and asked if I wanted it remade.
After another 6-7 minute wait (all it should ve been in the first place), I received a dinky order of uncrispy okra, and an even more dinky coleslaw (the original coleslaw by the looks). No spoon, fork, salt, pepper, or napkin. Lunch at 1:35.

Great BBQ place. Good flavors and smells fantastic...even passing by.

A chain store too large to focus on quality or service. The grill char was on everything and vegetables overcooked. The server was polite however dispassionate. Try a real local BBQ, which there are several.

Ordered food and it came out cold sent it back it came cold again manager came out and i told him to use the microwave longer when you take out old food from the fridge from previous days

I have been to over 20 different Sonny's in GA and FL , this one is the best I have been to. Our server Dove was also the best of any other at Sonny's.

Was ok salad bar still close but service ok they still wearing masks insane

What are the Bloody Mary good broke was good still waiting on the barbecue salutation the rest of the story barbecue is fine little bit on the driver side ain't like the southern BBQ in Tennessee or Arkansas it's also the baked beans what's fair is doing like in West Memphis Arkansas or Tennessee

Tables real sticky, few masks. Need to change the name to Super Spreader Sonny's.

Going there for the all-you-can-eat seems to be too much of a hassle to the staff at the bar... You can hear their comments and see their looks because of what you ordered. They seem to be eager to see you ask for the bill.

The salad was fresh. It would have been nice if the toppings were tossed or mixed up instead of separated in little piles which made it difficult to eat. The paper that is served under our sandwich disintegrated and became part of the sandwich ... but it tasted good. Our server wasn't very friendly.

Service is a bit slow and it can be crowded. However the food is really good for a pretty good price.

This sonny has people who does not know how to work a restaurant. Very very slow at the top go window they always forget your order. And then make it seem it's your fault. Need new management and employees

Great BBQ despite being a chain. Gotta get the sweet sauce. That makes the meal. Awesome stuff as well

Description added: personable server, she was very engaged. The redneck eggroll recipe must have changed, not like it was originally... not so good anymore. BBQ was good overall, get the lean meat for better experience.

The food was good but a bit less food than expected

Disgusting! I was late picking up my order, but no worries! ALL ORDERS WERE SITTING ON A TABLE- NO heat what-so-ever! Not only was the hot dog RAW, but the pulled pork sandwich was practically LIQUID! I wanted to cancel and the rude girl would not allow me to. Make your own BBQ, it will at least be cooked!

Had the chopped brisket. Asked for lean and it was still pretty fatty. Meat was not flavorful.

It was a great dinner, server was very sweet. They don't do anything for birthdays...not even sing. I was disappointed. Over all great experience, will be back.

I really like the ribs here. It is not expensive and you have your food in less than 20 minutes.

St. Louis ribs with all you can eat option. Those sweet baked beans are almost as good as dessert. Ribs are cooked to perfection and the meat just falls off the bone. Yum! Excellent waiter service, plenty of parking out front and handicap accessible.

Service was great and as usual the food is always great at Sonnys.

We are long time Sonny's fans but I must say this was the overall worst experience we have ever had at a Sonny's establishment. The baby back ribs were sorely overcooked. The restaurant was too cold, all fans were on so high the lights hanging over the tables were swinging. When we asked if they could turn them off or on low, I overheard an employee say I was just an old woman. We ended up outside after the 3rd move. The next couple that came in (younger than me) complained about how cold it was and the strong wind caused by the fans, they too ended up outside. The service was as bad as the food and lack of caring by management on comfort of guests. If this had been my first visit ever to a Sonny's I would not be a return guest. But fortunately, we know the typical quality of food and service provided by Sonny's. We do not recommend this particular restaurant.

Have never had a bad experience or less than outstanding meal at any Sonny's and we've eaten at several in FL and GA. 5 star.

In some ways maybe better than it used to be and in some ways maybe not better than it used to be so try it for yourself

Good food but customer service not sure great if you order take out

The food was good but not great. The servers were kind.

They moved the building towards the road where people can actually see the restaurant...they made it more like a sports bar...it kinda reminded of buffalo wild wings...food was good except for the ribs I got had no meat on 3 out if the 4 or 5 I got ..the sides were fine and the cornbread but when you pay $14 for ribs...you want actual meat on the bones...so for that I gave it 3 stars because everything was great except for the one thing main thing I wanted...I was traveling and was tired so I just let it go but they should only serve food that they would be proud of serving to their grandmother...

On church trips they always took us to Sonny's @ Busch Gardens. Needless to say I didn't go back for almost twenty years. My in-laws invited me out I was not with it, but when I went in I was like what's this? Major upgrade and the food didn't taste like I remembered! Just know they won me back.

Ordered Redneck eggrolls had nothing but coleslaw in them NO pork whatsoever, tasted like fried coleslaw..gross. Order a grilled chicken sandwich and came to me super burnt, took one bite and it tasted like pure charcoal. My brothers burger was also burnt really bad too. Waiter offered to get us new ones so he did, he was very nice at least. we knew it wasn t his fault but the cook s. My sandwich was still a little burnt but didn t want to complain any further just wanted to get out of there. Never coming back here again.

Stopped here on my way out if town and I have to say it was delicious. Definitely recommend the pulled pork, and the redneck egg rolls!!
