I have to say they are quite helpful and nice about collecting the debt from a credit card my x defaulted on a while back. The guy who I deal with is very accommodating, makes no demands, is very helpful and as long as I'm trying to pay something every month they are happy.. Every other collection agency should take a class from this company! I actually set the amount I could pay, and in fact it's so unusual that a collection agency would be this nice that I do wonder if they are legit sometimes... Anyways, if they are calling you just work out a payment plan that you can afford and the debt will eventually go away. If you can't pay them here and there it seems like they will be cool about it.
I can't believe I'm giving a collection agency 5 stars. But I owe it and it's a relief to be paying it off in the easiest possible way.

I have been paying a debt off there seems like forever but they are good at working with you if you are paying every month. I was hoping for rest of my debt to be forgiven as small amount but guess not. But they are okay to work with as long as you keep your payments up.

This Business used Public Record to pull personal information about me (phone/residential) to contact my GIRLFRIEND. Unacceptable business practices according to the Fair Collection Act. Filed BBB Complaint. Representative was extremely shady, and refused to divulge how they had gotten my contact information. Told them never to contact me again. I will be contacting legal aid if this occurs again.

"If an attorney is representing you about the debt, the debt collector must contact the attorney, rather than you. If you don t have an attorney, a collector may contact other people but only to find out your address, your home phone number, and where you work. Collectors usually are prohibited from contacting third parties more than once. Other than to obtain this location information about you, a debt collector generally is not permitted to discuss your debt with anyone other than you, your spouse, or your attorney."

If I could, I would give them 0 Stars. The woman who I spoke with on the phone told me she was going to send me a letter of the "new and exciting" settlement offer, but she didn't. And my gut feeling told me that she was lying. I hope her behavior doesn't reflect that of the rest of the people in this company. She said that in order for the settlement to be locked in till a certain date, she wants a smaller payment.

And they think they're smart by trying to get me to make a little payment and restart the statute limitations. ***If you owe debt and these are your debt collectors and you're out of the statute of limitations, do not make a small payment. They could turn around and back out of the settlement anytime if you're on monthly payments, unless they send you a letter. Just save your money till you can make a paid-in-full settlement payment which is always lower than if you make small payments.*** These people don't care about your collection rights... they wish you were ignorant of them so they can take advantage of you. (FAIR COLLECTION ACT - educate yourself on it)

Worst service ever!! Even though the case was dismissed they managed to put a lien on my bank and are taking my entire paycheck for the next 5 months I dont feel this is something they are allowed to do as now I cannot provide for my family since I can no longer pay my bills. I'm essentially working for free now fulltime. I hope to find an attorney that can sue them for the disrespectful and discriminating person who was speaking to me on the other end. I asked for a supervisor or manager and she said she is the only person in allowed to speak to. Ill seek legal advice to file lawsuits against them for discrimination and decimation of character as they basically told me I have no rights to my money if I have debt and that if I want to have money then I need to find another job that can pay my bills under the table.

My father received a wage garnishment letter from them for a 25 year old debt. My father owes the money, but since he's disabled and we both have the same name, they've decided that the debt belongs to me. By the time I received this letter from my father, they had already gotten an order from a judge to garnish my wages. I'd rather pay a lawyer twice the amount owed than give it to a bunch of predators. What they do should be illegal.

Absolutely unbelievable. I really don't even know where to begin. We were contacted by this company because we apparently owed money to an apartment in a different state that we were never notified about until our wages started getting garnished randomly. We ended up paying this company off, then received a refund check back for a similar amount. After calling, they verified on the phone that the amount was paid in full, we were good to go and the extra amount paid was sent back as a refund. I was confused and said it was close to the amount owed, we were told no, we were good and the debt was fully paid. Okay, no problem. 5 YEARS LATER, they take about triple the amount owed and say the reasoning is because we were told we were good in ERROR (ON THEIR PART) and now because of THEIR error, we owed the full amount plus interest. Interest we now owe because of THEIR mistake. Our tax return as well as 2 pay checks were taken leaving is in a state trying to figure out what to do financially. Received absolutely no help when calling and pretty much told it is what it is. How a company can behave this way and leave people stranded because of THEIR mistake absolutely blows my mind. How people can work there and get a decent night sleep every night is absolutely beyond me.

I've settled my account to which they acknowledge I have a zero balance yet it's not been reported to be removed to the credit bureau. I disputed the mark on my credit and this company told them I still owed.

While no one likes dealing with defaulted student loans, I found myself in this position. Navient was less than helpful in getting the matter resolved, so my account was transferred to this company for collections.

They worked with Navient/Sallie Mae to get a payment schedule I could live with and an interest rate which was more than agreeable.

I have been paying on the loans for 3 years now, and the balance has finally started to come down.

Lewis from the call center was very professional and friendly, when I spoke with him today.

Rob V. was also quite helpful in getting the arrangement authorized and underway.

We paid these people a "settlement in full", yet three days later a letter was received with a Total Current Balance amount. This is as low as you can go. What a complete phony outfit! A complete disgrace in business practices is what this company is! If you are looking for what not to do as a business, this company is showing you!

I tried to communicate via email to settle a debt to have it deleted from my credit report (mind you it s a debt that I m not even sure it s mine, I just want it off my credit), but the guy wouldn t send a written Pay to delete . Not sure why because I was settling for almost all the amount of over 800 dollars (would pay the full if I got a pay to delete). It s ridiculous because I m actually trying to settle. And the guy I was communicating with was the director of operations. Hence let s everyone know why the reviews are so bad!!!

They called me several times today, including ng at work. They GAVE OUT MY SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER over the phone to my boss. We have the same first name, so there was confusion. The person who called didn't give the last name of the person they were contacting, so my boss thought the call was for her. The person then tried to get my boss to confirm my social security number. How is this legal??? When I called the number back the woman named Mrs. Mitchell was VERY rude and aggressive on the phone. What a horrible business!

This company is collecting money from me regarding an unfair balance that AMICO/Georgetown Apartment Homes think I owe them. When I called and talked to the agent from this company, he sounded scary and knew nothing about what was going on with the case. He couldn't even answer some questions I asked about what their company was doing. Then, ignoring my follow-up questions, he rushed to repeat some sentences that he said earlier and brought his manager to the phone. Not sure what dirty relationships are behind these crappy companies, I mean Asset Recovery Solutions LLC and AMICO/Georgetown Apartment Homes, for example.

Angelina is very rude and unprofessional. She argued with me instead of hearing me out and answering my questions. I called her and she was argumentative! arguing with a customer that clearly wants to resolve their debt I wouldn t have called if I didn t intend to work something out. I called back to speak with a manager and she transferred the call but didn t identify herself. The manager Eric was able to answer my question and help me set up a workable agreement. Overall my initial contact was very unpleasant and I feel more training is needed for Angelina so she can do her job effectively.
