I'm afraid I was a bit underwhelmed. It was cold outside and looked cosy - good. Didn't feel all that welcome, coffee was fair and served in wide cup which goes cold very quickly. Food was moderately overpriced. We (3 of us) called in for breakfast Called in at "Maccas" at Seymour 2 hours later. Service was better and much more friendly.

Lovely home cooked foods, different eating areas, including a shady garden, great coffee! Lots of cake choices too though didn't try any - would go back given n opportunity

Great for lunch & coffee. Limited indoor tables, but outdoor good for a fine day.

Chia Latte was pretty good. Wasn't overly impressed with the sweet treats though. We got a small lemon Cheesecake and a small NY Baked Cheesecake, which were both a bit bland and rubbery. So we didn't even finish them... But I think we've been spoilt by Peddling Pastry...

Only had a drink of hot chocolate yesterday, but will be back to try again.

Had a lovely lunch in the private back room. Frittata was delicious and good coffee.... must have a lime spider !!!

My partner and I were looking to expand our local horizons today and find a new cafe we hadn t been to yet. We found Quarry Hill Cafe & Larder on Google and saw the reviews were quite good and were excited to give it a go.

Upon entering, there was a woman at the coffee machine, a woman waiting tables and a woman from the kitchen. We lingered in the service area and waited to be acknowledged, after about 30 seconds I moved toward the till to make my presence a little more obvious. The woman from the kitchen and the woman waiting tables continued their conversation while I stood there. The woman at the coffee machine didn t look up, and I felt invisible for the moment.

Finally I interrupted their conversation and asked if we were to seat ourselves, and they said yes and then we were to order at the till.

So we found a table and sat down, then we started looking around for a menu as there was none on the table and no signage. My partner got up and went to find one or figure out what we were supposed to do.

The woman at the till told him it was only what was in the fridge on display. We were saddened as we were hoping to have something made fresh or have a variety similar to what the photos on Google indicated.

We left at this point and headed elsewhere.

Overall, it was a disappointing experience. We really want to support local business, especially the smaller places but we re unlikely to return to this establishment due to the service we encountered and are unlikely to recommend our friends or family.

Yummy breakfast but it's expensive for regional. Little more attention to detail on the food wouldn't go astray.

A nice cafe in a quirky old building with heaps of indoor/outdoor seating to choose from. A good range of quality breakfast options on par with any Melbourne cafe.

Very friendly staff, dog friendly with outside seating with a nice ambience. Good coffee and nice breakfast menu. Lunch options more limited but quite tasty.

The cheese cakes we shared were extremely tasty, they were full of flavour, unfortunately the coffee was only lukewarm at best and the lady who served us must have had a bad day as her customer service skills were below par.

Called in this morning for a quick coffee but wished I'd had the time to stay longer. Lovely atmosphere that would be even better in warm weather, terrific coffee and an extensive selection of food. I'll certainly return.

Cannot express how impressed I was with the service of this new owner and his crew. Came in with a booking and was placed in one of the larger back rooms. Comfortable, cool for weather, light and airy, enough room to sit at table or at adjacent chairs. Food served fresh. Tasty. Worthwhile eating. Drinks were made to order. Amenities clean and smelled lovely. Shop clean. And you can see there will be changes coming so watch this shop's space! List it as one of your new faves and you will be well pleased. If you're not, the owner would like to know so he can fix it! Such a great place. And worthy of business lunches or smaller corporate meetings.

Very nice coffee and cake, lovely ambience, dog friendly. I look forward to bringing my dog here for a yapachino and doggy biscuit!

Fresh food great coffee. Take away atm in these uncertain times.

The food always looks as great as it tastes. A very convenient location to stop for a coffee kick while out for a ride or if you dont want the hassle of parking in town. Plenty of free on street parking
