We did not stay in the hotel, just visited it as Privilee members. But we found it a very nice hotel, kids friendly, with lots of amenities and with very kind staff. Special thanks to Salman from concierge service who helped us to find a straw hat lost by my daughter :) We would definitely come here again.

The staff at this resort delivered an outstanding service and catered to both of our needs all of the time. I cannot thank them enough for making our stay an amazing experience. The room and food were also spectacular. I would recommend anyone travelling to Dubai to stay at the Sofitel hotel and they will not be disappointed!

What a beautiful, family oriented hotel to stay at in Dubai. We were welcomed with fresh cocktails and even got an upgrade on or room just for celebrating our anniversary with them! Our room was ready with Rose's, fruits and champagne! Amazing view from the balcony and fresh towels daily. I have to stress there night room service. Fresh yummy food at anytime! I loved everything about this hotel. From how welcoming they're to all there restaurants and amenities. If we ever go back we will definitely be staying at Sofitel Dubai. Thank you so much for making our stay welcoming and memorial!

Amazing place, amazing room, the staff are so friendly and helpful. They go out of their way to help too. Waking up to a really good view of the ocean every morning, and then going down for breakfast where the chefs even assist you on how they can help (its a buffet style breakfast) so it was worth everything.

I love this place. And I've seen many, many hotels.

The service, facilities and food are, of course, top notch. It is a five star hotel after all.

It's the attention to detail that really impressed me. The kids club is an amazing self contained area, with a pool, cinema and lots of little things that will keep the kids happy for a while day, easily.

The rooms are so well detailed. Sockets where you need them, all the kitchen equipment you could need and well laid out.

The gym is a real gym, not just a room with a few weights and a bike.

It's just all there. And it's too easy to end up spending all your time in the hotel.

Staff was amazing, beach was amazing, rooms was amazing. The only down side is there aren't a lot of options for food and some of them weren't great and they were very overpriced for how good they were. But the hotel in general was amazing

Great hotel, very friendly staff spacious room, everything was great.

But it was not just us.

Not a good style for a 5 house.

After very poor Frozen Cirque de Cuisine, went to the Terrace Bar at Sofitel. Service was slow / inattentive / imprecise. Bar food / snacks poor selection. No cigars, on a terrace, next to the steak restaurant...... Expensive. Not worth the price. A real shame.

The room/stay was a 4/5 stars... but the service and the smile that Laurence and Imatiaz had, made it !!! Laurence is the real and only reason Sofitel The Plam Dubai can be advised as a 5 Star hotel... Laurence you are a gem and if you ever leave please inform me

What an amazing hotel. Amazing suite beautifully designed and set out with more than you need and could imagine. Great service. Great view. Lots to do. One never actually needs to leave the hotel location. Pools, with waterfall and slides, beach front, shops, eating paces, and greenery. Would recommend to all.

This is our second time as a family at Sofitel the Palm. Unfortunately only 3 stars from us!
Positive:
- Staff extremely friendly and nice
- very family friendly
- Pool & park awesome!
- Palm eyes
- large room

Negative:
- extremely expensive, really exaggerated ... for a canned Pepsi 30 dirhams! It's not fun there
- Unfortunately, the room was extremely shabby, saggy beds, furniture old and stained
- Unfortunately, the rooms are extremely dirty and if you look closely you want to look away again quickly!
- Manava Restaurant looks like a station concourse and unfortunately mass processing. Not comfortable.
- Spa super nice and clean, but massage was nothing
- The kids club is great, but the supervisors aren't really motivated to play with the children

Conclusion: we each had a nice holiday at the Sofitel, but for the price and a 5 star hotel you expect a lot more! A shame ... we will definitely choose a different hotel next time.
I hope that investments will be made in the next few years and that the rooms will be renovated and more attention will be paid to cleanliness!

This is our fifth time in Dubai .We usually stay at The Atlantis but the last few times have found it very noisy, busy and impersonal. We were delighted with our opera suite. There was plenty of room and it was kept spotlessly clean by the friendly ,helpful room attendant. Every single member of staff was friendly and helpful. The Hotel has managed to create the perfect atmosphere. We wont be going back to The Atlantis infact we nipped there for dinner and found it dreadful. However next time we are in Dubai we will be back to the Sofitel and will certainly recommend it to family and friends. Please don't change access to The lounge it was great to go and have a bit of peace in the afternoon. The Atlantis have widened its entry into their Imperial Club and now you have to queue and wait and wait and its noisy and you feel rushed. You have got it just right.I cannot praise the hotel enough.

We had a wonderful five day stay. A lovely room, excellent food and the hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. Especially the team in the Porterhouse restaurant and the concierge lady (Hamamae?) who tried her best to confirm our airport limo booking on a Friday. All was solved in the end though.

The choice of restaurants is broad, with varying ambience to suit the mood. However the speed of service varied greatly. I suspect this is a problem for those with children.
The gluten/wheat-free choices are somewhat limited in the Laguna and Hong Loong restaurants.
The mild chaos of the Manava at breakfast takes a day or so to master, but you soon get into the swing of it. If eating outside, don't leave your table unguarded when you head inside for more toast - the local Minahs and Jackdaws are watching closely and will move in!

The WiFi signal is excellent in most places around the hotel, except in our room, where it varied by the minute. I suspect this will be hard to fix without dedicated equipment.

The courtesy bus to the Dubai Malls was useful and an adventure akin to "The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel". Arrive early with sharp elbows! Could do with a larger bus or a more frequent/flexible timetable but hey, its a free service and there are plenty of other options. Although with the current traffic conditions on the Palm, a courtesy helicopter service would be useful - I jest.

All in all, Highly Recommended - We will be be back next time we're passing through Dubai.

In the restaurant that used for the breakfast buffet "Bottega Deli restaurant", there is a waiter who is name is (Al Fred) he served us with out any respect. (He served foreign good spirit and humor, but us in dry way and disrespectful manner When I told him he have to respect everyone and that I will mention your name to the reception he said (mention it) as "he do not care" But when I spoke to the manager he brought him to apologize to us and he did.

In the breakfast buffet, in the restaurant (Bottega Deli) the waiter (Alfred) served us in a respectable way (he served the foreigners with a good spirit and fun, and with us in a dry and disrespectful way) and we told him you should respect everyone and I will mention your name at the reception, He told me (in a clear way) that he was not interested in anyone. I went to the reception and spoke with the manager. He was very understanding. He called (Alfred) and apologized to me.

Stayed at this hotel for a week in May 2015. We were visiting friends who live in Dubai, but managed to get a fantastic deal staying here. The hotel is obviously gorgeous, as are the gardens and pools. The room was something else, with a huge balcony and bath. We booked a standard room,

The Palm Jumeirah is the smallest of a group of three man-made palm-shaped islands known as the "Palm Islands" in Dubai, UAE. The Palm Jumeirah is designed in the shape of a palm tree made up of three parts: the trunk, the crown and its fronds 17 and surrounded by a semicircular barrier forming an artificial reef.

Frond and the sea barrier

The fronds are all just residential areas and villas, while the barrier area witnesses 7 mega hotels and gigantic resorts, including the Atlantis resort, whose name suggests to the legendary island of Atlantis, the hotel includes 1539 rooms, which is the largest hotel in the Middle East. Al Jazeera is also witnessing the construction of the Trump Tower skyscraper, which will turn into the landmark of Dubai

At the ceremony of the arrival of the first batch of residents to the island, "Nakheel", the company developing the project, organized during the end of 2006 one of the largest airships in the world SkyShip 600 to Dubai. [1]
The island becomes the new home of the world-famous cruise ship RMS Queen Mary 2, which will permanently anchor at the heart of a luxurious marina project to be developed off the eastern trunk of Palm Jumeirah. [2]

The Palm Jumeirah is an artificial archipelagoin the United Arab Emirates, created using land reclamation by Nakheel which extends into the Arabian Gulf. It is part of a larger series of developments called the Palm Islands, including Palm Jebel Ali and Palm Deira), which, when completed, will together increase Dubai's shoreline by a total of 520 kilometers (320 mi).
