The Palm Jumeirah is the smallest of a group of three man-made palm-shaped islands known as the "Palm Islands" in Dubai, UAE. The Palm Jumeirah is designed in the shape of a palm tree made up of three parts: the trunk, the crown and its fronds 17 and surrounded by a semicircular barrier forming an artificial reef.

The fronds are all just residential areas and villas, while the barrier area witnesses 7 mega hotels and gigantic resorts, including the Atlantis resort, whose name suggests to the legendary island of Atlantis, the hotel includes 1539 rooms, which is the largest hotel in the Middle East. Al Jazeera is also witnessing the construction of the Trump Tower skyscraper, which will turn into the landmark of Dubai

At the ceremony of the arrival of the first batch of residents to the island, "Nakheel", the company developing the project, organized during the end of 2006 one of the largest airships in the world SkyShip 600 to Dubai. [1]
The island becomes the new home of the world-famous cruise ship RMS Queen Mary 2, which will permanently anchor at the heart of a luxurious marina project to be developed off the eastern trunk of Palm Jumeirah. [2]

The Palm Jumeirah is an artificial archipelagoin the United Arab Emirates, created using land reclamation by Nakheel which extends into the Arabian Gulf. It is part of a larger series of developments called the Palm Islands, including Palm Jebel Ali and Palm Deira), which, when completed, will together increase Dubai's shoreline by a total of 520 kilometers (320 mi). [1] It is located on the Jumeirah coastal area of the emirate of Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates.

Palm Jumeirah Monorail

Palm Jumeirah Monorail is a 5.4-kilometer-long (3.4 mi) monorail connecting the Atlantis Hotel to the Gateway Towers at the foot of the island. [2]. The monorail connects the Palm Jumeirah to the mainland, with a planned further extension to the Red Line of the Dubai Metro. [3] The line began operating on 30 April 2009. [4] It is the first monorail in the Middle East. [5]
