Sofitel Fiji Resort & Spa Reviews

We were very looked after by all the staff, especially Ledua, Sali, David, Nasa, and Dan in the activities and pool area. Revalin, Justin, Lucy, Alena, Angel and Alfred were wonderful in the food areas. And Maria our room attendant was lovely and really looked after us.

The resort pool and slide was a big plus with our two boys 11 and 8 years. The resort location was terrific on the beach with wonderful sunsets. We cant wait to get back next year.

Not happy with the fact that we had requested adjacent rooms for friends and ourselves months before our arrival, only to arrive and absolutely nothing had been arranged!

For a 5-star hotel the rooms were only 3-star

Love love love the new Waitui beach club that's all for adults and no kiddies in sight... cocktails at sunset, set healthy breakfast menu (though no champers like the buffet restaurant), movie on the beach, cabanas and fully equipped gym.., refreshments and nibblies by the pool... !!

I was very happy with my stay at the Sofitel. I Stayed at the beach club and we were vey happy with our room which was clean, well appointed, comfortable and had a delightful view over the pool area and seafront adjacent to the hotel.
The staff were both friendly, helpful and a credit to the hotel.
The pool areas are beautiful and well appointed with lots of comfortable options to relax and take in the views.
The food options at the hotel I found to be acceptable but only average and is probably an area that could be improved upon.
The areas surrounding the hotel are clean, very well maintained and safe.
I would gladly consider the Sofitel for any future trips to Fiji.

Resort with kids water sliding swimming pool & beach activities.

Was unaware of the renovations before arriving, I would have preferred to book elsewhere if I had known.
Staff were very friendly, pool was nice and buffet breakfast was always filling. Had a superior king room but had zero sound proofing, noisey kids on either side and you could hear staff walking past from about 5am.
Access to non-motorized water sports but the beachfront was ashy, the water was grey and the area designated for sports was very limited.
Happy hour was a mere 15% off...do yourself a favor and pop down to the radisson for 2-4-1 cocktails 3-5pm.
Read about he adults only section before arriving to then have staff try and upgrade us for an extra $200 or night to access. They don t mention that it opens to the whole resort from 6pm.
Overall a fine resort if you are there only a few days and heading out to the islands for the real sights of Fiji.

It's absolutely beautiful. The staff is abundant and most attentive. I actually can't say enough about this place I wish we were staying longer

the staff were all absolutely wonderful, always willing to help and very friendly with our children. the room was a bit disappointing as the shower screen didn't work and the space was quite cramped. Besides this we were very happy with our stay and the facilities, especially for the children.

The Sofitel pool is great, probably the best of all the resorts along this stretch. The staff are all very nice particularly the activities guys. Our room was relatively small but functional. There is a renovation coming to improve the rooms.

Nice rooms, good beds, good eating options, friendly helpful staff. A few lttle niggles like a crooked shower door and a slightly noisy mini fridge but they didn't really detract from our enjoyment of our stay. So many positive features they overwhelmed the little negatives.

Staff extremely helpful. Beware of their Internet.

What an amazing staff!! It rained for 2 days which meant the roads were flooded. Sofitel went above and beyond and coordinated military transportation for our trip to the airport. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. The resort was super comfortable and the room was amazing. Our 2nd trip to Fiji was no disappointment. Thank you Sofitel & Fiji for another wonderful holiday

My wife and I had a wonderful experience. We had our 2nd wedding anniversary and it couldn;t been better. Loved food, loved the rooms and most importantly, wonderful services offered.

We stayed at Sofitel Denauru for nine days. Our room was not properly prepared when we arrived but we soon forgot about this as we enjoyed the Beach Club and a special celebration. Would recommend the Beach Club for adults as it was a lovely setup and the staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was at the other end of the hotel to the Beach Club but the morning and evening walk was good. Happy hour was great and cocktails plentiful. We had a special celebration with couples spa package and dinner in our our special spot on the Beach. Fantastic!
Suggest you join the Accor Club when you arrive and remember to show your card at each meal.
We'll be back!!!

The resort although a little tired was maintained with excellent care from the cleaning of the pool and gardens through to the servicing of the room (immaculate) and the facilities. The only disappointment was the spa which was tired and in need of an upgrade also the masseuse staff were not very skilled. The managers dealt with every query or issue immediately and with a smile. All the staff had a level of professionalism and friendliness which was astounding and made our stay. In particular Leduolotawa and Jack Johnston were standouts aswell as all the staff at Salt and the Breeze bar.

Not happy with the service provided, needed help cancelling. With no exception will they provide me my money back, even after I had provided a valid medical certificate.

Beautiful place to stay. I've stayed at 7 hotels in Fiji and this is my favorite by a long way. Plus the beach club is well the little expense.

An amazing place to stay. All of the staff were very friendly. From what I understand, all of the rooms have either an ocean or garden view. Our ocean view was amazing!

From the moment we arrived and to the end we were greeted and welcomed in a very professional way. Nothing was a problem to staff and management to make sure our stay was enjoyable . The bars, meals and entertainment were out of this world..

Very nice. Had a couple of minor problems but staff rectified right away. Bed is comfy, room is spacious, according is cold. Everything I need for a perfect vacation

It was a great one week stay here I had. Everything here was just to perfect, from customer service to room service up to beautiful breathtaking view this resort was an amazing place to be at.

This was a great resort with children. The pool is quite nice to play around in with little nooks and crannies for children of all ages. There is a waterslide that is open from 10:00 to 5:00 which was completely unsupervised so there was no one waiting for you to have fun and putting a stop to it like we have back in Sydney. The pool side service was great and quite efficient. Everything was designed for you to enjoy your day by the pool and not have to go to too much effort to get anything done.
Price wise everything is quite expensive. As for dinner, I highly recommend you go to Port Denarau every night as the food, whilst OK is quite pricey for what you get.
Here are my major complaints and I am aware they sound like first world problems but it's the little things that frustrate you.
The internet was shocking. You can only have 3 devices at a time with close to dial up speed. You get better wifi at the restaurants in port Denarau. I tried to pay to get better speeds since the kids wanted to crash on their tablets but I simply couldnt work it out. It is surprising that such a well known hotel brand cant provide better internet.
There were some great activities during the day and they were well coordinated but no one could tell us where they were. Twice we missed out because we couldnt figure out where to go.

Me and my family was amazing with the great hospitality we experience with sofitel nadi....most for the time during dinner our 2yr old gets hard to control one of their staff goes alone and carry her away so we would enjoy our dinner...house keeper did a perfect job .looking forward to stay in the near future whenever I will come to fiji..Vinaka vakalevu Sofitel for the Great memories...Will definitely come around again ...

What a disappointment. The room was very tired, the facility was also tired. We were expecting a Sofitel we had experienced in other parts of the world. The staff were terrific but the prices are horendous. We stayed in the adults only area which was good however the prices for food and drinks are excessive to say the least. Food quality is 3 star at best and prices are 7 star. A simple meal at Salt for 2 people cost F$170 including a soft drink and 1 glass of Shiraz.
Something has gone very wrong with the value for money equasion and the hospitality business seems to think it is OK to charge excessive prices.
The TV in the room kept failing and the air conditioning failed such that nights were very hot.
There are much better value for money venues and I suggest you do your homework before you visit Fiji.
We were told a major refurbishment is planned starting in late 2018, I hate to think what that means to local prices.
Bulla guys and holiday somewhere else.

Delightful place to stop for a coffee and roll. Excellent service and very friendly. Recently remodeled so gorgeous interior.

Great views. Fresh food and drinks. Staff are very friendly and easy to relax.

I came to stay so that I could choose a venue for my Fiji wedding and by far Sofitel has won myself and my mother over. I was concerned about the rooms at the beginning, however, the staff truly made up for it. I cannot wait to have my wedding at the Sofitel. I have since been shown a lot better rooms that are available at the sofitel and they are amazing.

The rooms don't have furniture so that's quite an inconvenience. It's pricey and it'd make more sense had the rooms been properly furnished but the hotel seems to lack facilities. So relative to the cost, it's not quite worth it

We have stayed at Sofitel Denarau several times over recent years. The general facilities are excellent, but our bathroom was very cramped & showing wear & tear: the shower leaked & flooded the floor etc.

Clean, tidy, friendly but not personable. we walked around to the other resorts on the same strip and found the Hilton had nuku which a better restaurant than the one we had. Other resorts also had better value buffet nights and breakfast options. Nice reception area, decent pool and bar. The spa was great though and would recommend the couples treatment!

It was an awesome friendly atmosphere and 5star service from F&B staff

Check in & out was quick & easy.The staff from all over the resort were very helpful & accomplished in the jobs they performed.The buffet breakfast was included in our package & it was worth it.The food was great.The only downside was the below average condition of the bathroom.For the money you pay the bathroom could really do with an update.

Bit pricy but amazing breakfast with great service!

Overall very much overpriced,bottle of sparkling water with dinner $22.00 and room service charges $7.50 each time you need something.
Room was clean and nice view.

Loved this resort, the staff are so friendly and helpful and they adore kids. I would recommend this place to any family looking for a great, relaxing family holiday. Daily breakfast was lovely and there was a great variety to choose from. The pool was great for kids of all ages and was great for our 20 month old.

The reception area and main dining room needs air conditioning or fans that rotate faster than 10kms/hr. It's very hot, humid and quite frustrating and disgusting eating breakfast with sweat dripping into your food. Rooms are pleasantly spacious however, bathroom/toilet is very small and outdated. It needs a good clean and a revamp. Our room lacked a menu card to assist with room service dining. Also, there is a constant musty (nauseating) smell in the room we stayed in and also in the food we got served by room service. Food is ridiculously expensive and of poor quality. Not worth the hefty price tag. Otherwise, a very pleasant resort to stay at with exceptionally friendly staff.

We felt the front desk was very slow. The bathroom was unsatisfactory as the shower door leaked all over the floor. Also we found the behaviour of other guests in the main pool area very noisy. T he restaurant staff were very friendly , happy and eager to please.

As always 10 out of 10 - only surprise this trip was no welcome drink this time (my fav) and my son and I must of looked undesirable as we had to surrender our passports for a photo copy? Disappointed our loyalty card was only 15% at SALT for dinner? Will still come back as our annual "father son" time. Cheers !!

Not sure if we arrived earlier than expected, but only 1 of the 3 rooms were ready at 1pm. We were pointed in the general direction of that one room and after a few wrong turns managed to find it. The other rooms weren't ready at 2.30, half an hour after I was told to come back , finally got my room at maybe 3pm. There was no directory in the room telling me about the hotels amenities, which would have been helpful. Room was tidy and presented nicely, but, the bathroom in particular, was incredibly small. None of the staff seemed particularly welcoming, a far cry from our previous hotel on the coral coast where every staff member greeted you with Bula. Pool was nice, and the kids enjoyed the waterslide but felt the whole stay was very impersonal .

The Sofitel is great for families with kids of all ages. The pool is safe for the whole family to enjoy and all the other amenities are fantastic. All the rooms have views of the beach and surrounding grounds, and the gardens are all well kept. The rooms are cleaned twice a day and all of the staff are very friendly and helpful.

There is a great selection of places to eat and drink within the resort, with room service and pool side dining also.

They are currently renovating the rooms and the kids club which will make this hotel even better.

It is close to the airport (20-30min drive) and Port Denerau where you can jump on a boat and go on day trips, and the Big Bula waterpark is walking distance from the hotel.

Overall I would highly recommend staying here, and will visit again.

Currently under construction so not very impressive front entrance and construction noise while at pool is not very relaxing. Staff always greats you. Food was really good. Bed is super firm. Shower was fun with rain showers head, but temperature control not easy. Has a safe and hair dryer and coffee and tea. There are robes and slippers. Room air-conditioning runs cold no matter what temp it is set to.

Went here for my birthday. Safe to say I will not return to this resort. The sliding door was broken in the room (glass was cracked), the TV didn't work, and there were no smoke free areas. I couldn't sit and relax outside my room as there were smokers on both sides. The room and bathroom were very dated. Best part of the week was the cocktails. I have been to Fiji many times, but seems like you get more at the cheaper resorts.

Fantastic place to stay. Especially at the waitui beach club, great staff very friendly. Our 3rd time back just gets better and better.

Fijians are the friendliest people. I love this resort. An open plan and you can see everything.

I have been to Fiji 3 times on family holidays, and this was the first time staying at the Sofitel. Absolutely loved it. great facilities, great activities for the kids. The staff are so friendly and love spending time with the kids. Big shout out to the the activities team, Saki , Mess , Bill , Ledua and Julien from madagascar , my son Michael had an absolute ball with you guys, keep up the good work.
The only reason I have not given a 5 star rating is due to the rooms needing an upgrade, but we were not there to stay in our rooms, so for us not a massive issue.

Great Service and friendly staff. V Restaurant is probably the best fine dining I have experienced. They went out of the way to delight us on our wedding anniversary. The beach club is fantastic if you want to get away from kids. We spent most of the day there. Many fine eating places from very casual to very formal. Beautiful pools. If you have an accor card many of the eating places are half price. The only downside was we didn't go anywhere else and didn't see much of FIji ..... next time.

Amazing adults only club. Book the luxury rooms with beach club access. You wouldn't even know there were hundreds of kids on the other side so quiet and luxurious. Best adults only hotel in Denurae Fiji main island. Main hotel under renovations so be aware would avoid till its complete unless u stay in beach club rooms

Seamless and friendly check in. Had fresh juice for welcome too.

Really enjoyed the space, gardens and facilities although rooms seem a little dated and breakfast was a scrum. the service at the fine dining restaurant was excellent and Salt was also good.

Top spot Waitui Beach Club a must. Staff are brilliant and fun.

Whenever your holiday goes awry because of the weather, you want to be in the best place- Where you and your family will feel cared for. Myself and my family were all there during Severe Tropical Cyclone Winston. (Category 5) The evacuation process and staff were amazing. The hotel was extremely well equipped to handle the storm and the aftermath- the recovery cleanup, and the willingness of staff to take care of us (guests and strangers) was astonishing. I will always remember my 7 year old son pulling the lounge pool chairs out of the pool.
When we come back to Fiji we will stay at the Sofitel and my many friends, family and connections will all hear about this wonderful, friendly place to visit.

We came as day guests before our departure flight. The staff were very welcoming and looked after our luggage while we relaxed and ate and drank. Avi in the Solis Restaurant looked after us, and the food was great! When it was time to leave Joshua very graciously arranged for us to use the showers free of charge, which was a welcome respite after a hot day. Though we were here briefly we loved it and felt at home.

Courteous staff, nice environment, all amenities in working order, clean, well designed and good ambience.

Booked the Superior Ocean suit and to our surprise the room was amazing for such a low price! Thank you Sofitel!

Great hotel, staff are beautiful and friendly. The adults only Waitui Beach club was very relaxing and the food is great.

Everyone at the Sofitel was so friendly. Greeted with a big smile and bula everywhere we were. Love that we got to experience the culture of Fiji through the amazing nice people!

Its the 2nd time we've stayed and really enjoyed it , we brought our extended family this time and they loved it .... just a little expensive still and the kids club ( which is why we chose Fiji ) needs to be upgraded ! we have a 2 yr old who was in the same room as a bunch of 10yr olds and they were going bananas and it didn't feel very safe , luckily we paid for one of the fantastic nannies to be with her constantly for the 2 hrs.... the room needs more chairs, crayons and paints , toys etc etc desperately !!

Really nice facilities. Love the spa. Great breakfast. Buffet dinner expensive for what it was. Was there when Cyclone Keni arrived and the hotel staff were great
