I was shocked with the drop of service and its quality during my recent stay (week of 16 Aug)... no valet car parking... minimum room service items forcing us to eat outside,, cleanliness level is low,,, it took ages to get housekeeping service or other items.... no cafe at the lobby.... the staff said this is all due to government regulations but I attended dinners and events in other hotels and they had all the missing services at Sofitel.... I didn t enjoy my stay....

Really good location for access to anything downtown. The train is close by, highly recommend taking that from the airport instead of a cab/Uber because cabs can take a while to find, and the route from DXB to this hotel is CIRCUITOUS.

Service is fantastic, as expected for a Sofitel. Lots of helpful staff around to usher you around.

The accommodations are great - our room was very spacious, and has a lot of floor to ceiling windows.

One of the best hotels ever, and their treatment is very distinguished from the reservation employee Akram, the reception manager Fouad, the service staff or the restaurant staff. All their services are distinguished and they have a very wonderful kids club. I recommend the hotel

Ok, the Rooms are good, but they made us to wait an average of 2 hours (4 hours for my room), and the people informing about the tours are not as well informed as they should. Apart of that, no credit card worked here! Finally all when we wanted transport to the airport and they, for the first time ever, won't charge it to the rooms as always... But they will change your currency... Just when you leave the country...

Really good restaurant, top quality rooms, services really failed for us. Maybe next time.

Next to metro, walkable to dubai mall. Super good location! Room is very modern, swimming pool is very relaxing even the view to Burj Khalifa is a bit blocked now. Popular club is located in upstairs too. Hotel staffs are very friendly. Definitely I want to stay there again!

We had a little trouble in the reception regarding the booking price, so they charged us more than we should've been charged. Other than that it's a great hotel with a lot of very nice employees and great food!

Super friendly staff, and very clean. This hotel is conveniently located near the Dubai Mall, and I mean one block away from the entrance to the walkway. 5 minutes in a cab to Burj Khalifa. One complaint is that one day housekeeping knocked while we were (very loudly) listening to music. However he opened the door and walked in. Major disappointment.

If you're looking for a reliable hair salon, this is the place to go! Barber is great & the other senior hairstylists are very good too. Highly recommend these guys. Not only that they use quality products but their friendly service is impeccable . I've used them since they were attached to another salon .

One of the worst experience from Sofitel Dubai which has put the name of sofitel down by their night security manager who was present on 18th Jan night.

In fact I doubt how sofitel can appoint someone (specially manager) who doesn't know how to talk respectfully to the customer. Very rude behavior of the manager present on the night of 18th Jan 2019 . Thank you sofitel for spoiling my weekend . I didn t want to even give one star to this hotel .

I don't know where to start, but this hotel was a part of out flight+ hotel package, we went inside the hotel and felt like heaven, cleanliness and the staff approach was great, we were looked after daily and we loved every day we spent in here, our room was checked 2wice a day from the house team, breakfast was to die for, variety of hot and cold, cakes and great juices, healthy fruit also middle eastern food too, and to top it up all managers was looking after you mentioning in here the manager who helped me with a banana even though they were not in display in the restaurant, he found 1 for me. Great bunch of team, superb performances. A must go place, also it was our honeymoon so they had set up the room for us
The only downside its that we arrived in town early because our flight was overnight but we couldn't check in early because there was no room available we were so tired and we couldn't do much because we didnt know where to go. Not to much of their fault but it would be nice if they could accommodate us somewhere for the time being.

Comfortable and contemporary hotel, catering in pa...

Comfortable and contemporary hotel, catering in part to be reviewed.

Comfortable and contemporary hotel in the new modern area of Dubai called Downtown. One step away from the Dubai Mall and the Burj Khalifa, easily accessible via an air-conditioned tunnel equipped with moving walkways.
Right in front is the "Dubai Mall" metro station, but there are always taxis waiting too.
Fifteen minutes from the DXB airport, but watch out for traffic at rush hour (more or less from 16 to 20).

Many services offered, including 2 swimming pools and free shuttle to La Mer and Kite Beach (a special thanks to the driver Wilson, always on time and available).
There is also a gym and a spa which we didn't use.

The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with large windows, coffee maker, hairdryer and power sockets with universal adapter; spacious and clean bathroom (we thank Logu for taking care of the room during our stay).
Coffee and tea capsules as well as bottles of water are complimentary and restocked daily.
Check out at 12.00, check-in from 15.00.

Concierge / reception service available, but not very effective in describing the hotel services (thank goodness we had read the reviews on the internet before leaving!) And advice on the location (for example there is a small but well-stocked Zoom supermarket behind to the hotel - which also has a selection of Starbucks products inside - which we saw from the taxi).
Perhaps because they are focused on business clients or organized groups and are not used to do-it-yourself travelers, I don't know.

We come to the negative side: the restaurant, really to rethink.
We didn't try the breakfast because it was too expensive.
La Patisserie on the ground floor is saved, very atmospheric and elegant, with often live music (harp and piano) but prices generally too high.
There are too many restaurants / bars, but none of note, dispersive and poorly organized (and in fact empty).
There are 2 restaurants on the 31st floor (a terrifying view of Downtown and Burj Khalifa!): One Georgian (Modi, with live traditional music) and one Peruvian (Inca): we arrive in the elevator, a stench of smoke that we could hardly breathe let alone eat, so let's flee!
On the pool terrace there are 2 clubs open in the evening, a kind of disco (Datu) and a rooftop (Above): a fantastic location, but little appreciated; helpful and polite staff, but not very prepared, costs too high for the level of service offered.
In short, if I were the owner I would close all these places (apart from the Patisserie) and invest only in a couple (no more) but of quality, one on the 31st floor and one on the rooftop terrace with a more international menu and cocktails but always refined.

However, the hotel is recommended, the essential services are at the top and the comfort is at the highest levels!
