I give it 5 stars, but it's all relative for a Cairo. On the plus side, the staff and service is really good. The location is excellent, though Cairo in my view is a mess. I really liked the food, specifically the breakfast and patisserie shop. We tried the Egyptian grill and it was good; the fresh bread being the best part. Now we got upgraded and the view was amazing: you see the pyramids and you are right in the middle of the Nile! On the minus side, the decor is a little bit tired, but so are the other hotels I saw in Cairo. The rooms are good. I would definitely recommend it, though not wowed for a luxury hotel.
The place is top in luxury and the service is excellent, especially Mr. Ahmed Refaat and sister Hyam Samir. I wish you success and continued success.

We stayed in this hotel for 10 days during a business trip in Cairo. This is a great hotel and would have received my 5-star rating if the room is bigger and furnitures in the room are not so outdated. The customer service throughout the hotel is excellent and the room offers beautiful views (day and night) overlooking the Nile. The hotel intercontinental breakfast is a must try and I suggest to try a small sample of everything...best falafel I have teasted. The pool and gym areas are nice and clean with friendly staff.

The breakfast at Sophitel is delicious and very varied. About Chef Saleh and Hyam are very helpful and friendly. I hope the year 2019 is the same.
The staff are nice and hospitable, most of them in the restaurant like Hayam and some others I don't remember their names are always wanting to help and make you comfortable. And there there is ample smiles to brighten anyone's day. Although there were some hitches in the services, but these were made up for with notes of sincere apologies, lovely flowers, bowls of Arab sweets and fruits. I would recommend sofitel hotel for anyone.
Perfect place to organize events, But the internal parking space is relatively small. But you can use the external parking space.
