Soaring Eagle Casino and Resort Reviews

Saw The Temptations at Soaring Eagle. Acoustics and lighting was great but hard to see the stage because seats (at least in the center section), are not tiered. If you want a good view you need to be close to the stage otherwise you will be watching the show on one of the large screens....and if that's the case, you might as well buy general admission seats.

I stayed in a king bed suite. The only bad thing was that we asked why our ac wasn't working the best, and they said they'd send somebody up to try and fix it, and as far as I could tell they didn't bother. Other than that everything was great.

My husband and I really enjoy the atmosphere. We always eat at at Legends and have always had a good meal. We each getting the $5 discount on the meal.(senior Thursdays) We also enjoy playing bingo.

This is hands down my favorite casino in Michigan. Great atmosphere. Lots of games.

Had a great time stopping by on the way home from labor day weekend. Clean and pleasant other than the smoking still being an issue. I recommend this place though.

I wish I could say one bad thing about soaring eagle casino. But its just too good to be true, Very good security, I can smoke witch is what I love, They give you free plays your first time. I have won thosands of dollars here and would not recommend any other casino. This is the best one there is with just about everything. They have good food, cheap beer and wonderful staff.

Revised My Review. I've been an on&off customer since the mid 1980's when this place was nothing but a pole barn and a mud parking lot. I recently walked up to the box office and bought full price tickets for a concert featuring RATT and special guest Night Ranger.
RATT was unable to play that night due to a legal dispute between members and the casino claims to have received a cease & desist letter from an attorney (not a judge) that had the Eagle decide it was better to not reschedule the show but let Night Ranger foot the whole show. Customers that night were given some form that stated they would honor the tickets the next time RATT was booked. Knowing this could be a while...in the coat pocket it went.
Checking the website today (6/2/17) the Eagle has a big old RATT picture with the statement: "Did you purchase a ticket for our RATT performance back in December? If so, you are entitled to a ticket redemption period for a ticket to another show." Only problem is...it also states "Offer must be redeemed before 10:30PM on May 31 at the Soaring...."
I called the Box office today to inquire. "Sorry but the great god in the sky who printed those vouchers also put on the restrictions". Are you kidding me?? I paid full price...she says that I should be grateful that I got to see Night Ranger. I asked...and she said that NR did not get paid RATTS money. So I ask...who pocketed the money portion of all those tickets that was intended to go to RATT and didnt get redeemed by their arbitrary May 31st date? Crickets.
It is one thing to usually lose feeding their games...or to drop $200 while waiting for 1 act out of a 2 act show to perform....but to be inflexible like this show the monopolized greed is based on a formula and nothing to do with those who venture onto their lands.

I enjoyed eating at the buffet but I wasn't feeling too well a few hours later. I'll let them off the hook. The price was right and the food was hot and flavorful - just had to mention my experience. I'll be looking out the next time.

There is very little area in the casino for non-smoking patrons. To get to those areas you need to traverse very large areas that allow smoking. The smokers here are very much dedicated to smoking tobacco.

The design in the place is unique and pleasant. I would like to have seen more crafts from the local reservation and tribes. The items that were there were intriguing. I appreciated the homey feel I got from the images in the hallway of people who lived in the area. They brought back memories of my life and when I return I will be sure to spend more time looking at and contemplating these items.

Whatever you do - do NOT force the elevator doors. The signs are clearly displayed. Though I am not sure what they might be forced to do or the penalties for forcing them to do it I recommend just kind of ignoring them. That's what I did and things worked out fine.

Service was outstanding. The place was nice and clean. Used one of the big conference rooms was very organized and staff was very friendly.

Great restaurants, atmosphere, nice hotel and pool. Arcade and daycare for kids.

Beautiful casino, the employees were amazing!!. Amazing experience!!! Definitely going back!

Good stay as usual but the construction going on did effect our stay. With the loud banging and drilling early in the morning.

Always a blast ! Huge and clean, has great concert venue

I'm not much of a Casino person, but the soaring Eagle is one of the best I've ever seen. Lots of food and restaurant options, Nice size game floor. The hotel and spa might be the nicest area, by far the best in mid Michigan. A little small but very decent concert venue, I've seen a few and had no complaints.

Attended a mystery dinner theater event. Too noisy, too amateurish, food very poor.

Everyone that works on the casino floor is always more than willing to help no matter what

I lost some money but enjoyed playing the slot machines. Nice variety plenty to choose from.

As far as a casino goes, gaming options are to par, but I have had pretty terrible experiences with guest services. Although I have enjoyed them at times, the hotel, restaurants, and players club have failed pretty miserably at one point or another.
In other words-the gaming floor isn't the only gamble here.

Attended a venue and found it to be chaotic and unmanaged. No organization to the line at the door and staff were not well informed. Smoky environment. Very crowded for those in wheelchairs. Plenty of slots to play.

Not as Smokey as it used to be. They added some good air scrubbers.

Arbitrary investments but we won, to bad google didn't inquire where we ate because it was great google seems to be very selective on it's particular reviews, getting gas was a great stop to at Speedway the cashier very friendly,

Soaring Eagle is my favorite Casino Hotel outside of Nevada. Top notch facility and staff. In thirty plus visits there over the years I have always felt at home.

Did not like the place being with cigarette smoke I felt like I was in a bar from X gone by I thought we were over the smoking inside I know they have a right to let people smoke in there but I am not in no hurry to go back and leave smelling like an ashtray.

I brought my daughter to her very first casino visit. My visit at this location was the first for me. The workers I encountered were very nice and helpful. Unfortunately, I think there should be more. The ashtrays were full and everywhere. Cups and bottles were left on machines or on the floor near machines. The carpet was a hot mess with debris. The lines were extremely long. Kudos to the pleasant workers. Walking back and fourth to the one bathroom was a little much. Not to mention standing in the long line ugh. There was an argument with some patrons getting very heated. It took a while for security and personnel to be seen. Yes. Please hire more people. Other than that, our first visit was pretty nice.

Went to attend a concert. The casino looks great and the resort is huge and lively. There's a huge parking lot, and it's well organized. The ambience is great. They have small limit tables as well so that's great.

Great place to stay and very fun concerts and casino

We drove out from grand rapids because we heard that this casino had better payouts than the casinos closer to us. The only trouble we had, is that we have a sensitivity to smoke. There was a nice no smoke section, but it was in the back and had to go thru smokey section first. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Also liked the $10 credit for signing up for the players club. The drive was worth it, because the slots had a great payout for us.

They put on a top notch fireworks display this year. It didn't start on time but everyone forgot about the wait when they saw the fantastic display.

It's not paying any thing since it reopened. Love that it is not smoking.

Don't really gamble, but have attended various concerts; have indoor and outdoor venues. Staff has been friendly every time, no complaints. Stayed at their Waterpark/hotel for half the cost and they shuttle you in for the concerts!

The month of your birthday they give you $10 of free premium play so since my birthday was in December I wanted to get my free money. We were only there for about an hour and a half. It was New Year's Eve and the line for the Aurora Buffet was from where the entrance to the restaurant all the way up and around and back to almost the line where the Perks Club is. They gave away hats, tiaras, horns, beads and plastic leis. They have various packages for anytime during the year and one especially for New Years Eve around $400 but u get a first class room, premium play for 2 people, food for 2 people, tickets for shows
and drawings, tickets for the concert. The other package s are basically the same except for the premium. There is Gas & Gamble and Stay & Play. Your can go to their website for further information.
For Service people current and veterans they have a Hero Card that entitles the bearer to a free room the month of their birthday plus premium play and free meals. The premium play and meals are also available twice a month every month

Good experience at the casino and the buffet was great!

I don't enjoy the casino experience myself but sometimes end up there with acquaintances who do. This Native American owned establishment has an excellent variety of games an machines that can be profitable to the savvy. House odds are fair but not as high as smaller establishments competing for business. Full hotel and restaurant services with some compensation if you're a big roller. Largest casino in the area with frequent free play offers if you're a member.

Fresh air, lots to do but it does not come with out a price...

Typical smoky casino, no table games in non smoking area, people still smoke in non smoking area

Wasn't actually in the casino but we saw a concert outside and it was packed with people and so much fun! There were casino staff and security everywhere. There were medics on site and all staff was friendly and helpful

My wife and I came in to use the $30 food coupon for the new bar/restaurant and it was closed for a private party. Supervisor on hand basically said too bad. Hour drive one way. Not happy.

Great atmosphere that is cloudy by smoke. Air is limited in this Casino by a haze of smoke. They offer a wide range of slots and tables.

I stopped at the Soaring Eagle Casino and picked up one of their many delicious breads. Everything in their Cafe is delicious.
