I'm a snowboarder and I find this to be one of the fastest mountains I've ridden (though Ive only riden 2 resorts in Utah). The lodges are gorgeous. The seating is comfortable. The staff, top notch. All around fantastic day with 8" to boot. Highly recommend.

This is review for the corner bar at Earl's Lodge, terrible food. House special ribs tasted old dried and pretty meatless doused in sauces that overwhelm the palate. Was spitting out the sauce as I deciphered the fibrous dry pieces on my tongue. Wondering how could they serve that quality of food at this beautiful place. The Verdi nacho too is disappointing. The cheese still in stripes unmelted and we left rather hungry.

Woot.

I go out West to a different area to ski every year, once I went here, I came back 2 more times in a row, then bought a place near there and moved here. Empty during the week, great hi speed lifts, fantastic lodges, good snow, great terrain, long runs and
plenty of steep trails, that's why the had the downhill at the Olympics here. Not much
night life but who cares, how people can rate Deer or Park City better are probably beginners or low intermediates.

I grew up skiing in little cottonwood canyon. While I love the snow and terrain, the traffic getting up that canyon is a nightmare on the best snow days and it gets tracked out quickly. Snowbasin is one of Utah s best kept secrets. Great snow and terrain. The World Cup downhill course is awesome. I was very happy to learn this mountain when I got my season pass. Plus the lodge is nice and fancy without the crowd being snobby. I m a big fan of Snowbasin.

Well kept. Great for families. Super helpful staff! They have an amazing low grade hill for the little kids and it's even serviced by a high speed quad and had a little mini terrain park. Super cool!

Great place to ski, mountain bike, snow shoe, cross country ski, hike, or whatever you want.. they do an awesome job of keeping everything so nice and taken care of... If you want to be outside ANY time of the year, visit the vast area and opportunities they have.

This is by far my favorite ski resort in all of Utah. It close to the valley but still high enough in elevation to get great amounts of snow. The staff is great and helpful. The ski patrol is experienced and handles stressful situations with ease. They helped me with my concussion and got me on my way without me freaking out. My best friend can confirm this, he tore a tendon in his thumb and got a quick diagnosis and knew how to fix it in under 15 minutes. The food is amazing despite the prices. The portions are big so it makes it worth the money.

Incredible

Incredible
3000 vertical feet. Means very long runs. Plus the mountain is big. There is something for everyone. Also it your a advanced skier head to John Paul lift for some spectacular views. The resort feels luxurious and yet rugged perfect combination.

Beautiful lodge facilities and good radically priced food. But windy weather unfortunately put a weather hold on multiple lifts so we didn't get to check out the full terrain. I would go back!

I took one of the adult skiing classes today and it turned out to be a frustrating experience. We started out on a 30ft slope in the beginners area which went okay.
After lunch we moved onto a larger and steeper slope. I was really struggling to get the hang of it. After maybe 5 or 6 runs the instructor asked me to return to the beginners area so I did. I spent the rest of the day by myself on the beginners slope trying to make the most of it (until it closed at 3). I understand the class can t wait on the one student who is falling behind. But when I paid I didn t understand my instruction time would be cut short if I couldn t learn quickly enough.

Really had a good time here. People working at the lift were super friendly and helped putting the ski in and out the gondola. They have good ways for beginners and also for advanced skiers.

Like others have said, Snowbasin is definitely on the decline. I felt it to be totally overrated. It is out of the way, larger crowds, and the terrain is just so so. Park City or the Canyons is the way to go without a doubt.

Good luck getting a quote for having a wedding. I was in touch with the wedding coordinator, and after email correspondence and a phone call, I haven't received any information on pricing. I would have loved to have had my wedding here; however, I went with a venue who wanted my business.

My daughter had her wedding here recently and they did an amazing job. It was astonishing to see how quickly the staff at snow basin turn a working ski lodge into a luxurious wedding venue. The food was delicious, the decor was beautiful and the staff That worked the entire night was professional and so courteous. Our families and friends were all so impressed with everything that was done and I could not recommend a place for a wedding any higher. Thank you snow basin for making my daughter s wedding more fun than we were hoping it could be.

The only thing I would say negative was the dining was kind of a mess. It was just a bunch of people standing around no structure. Took us 45 minutes to get to the front. It was a very busy day and the food was really tasty. Still an amazing experience.

I have been coming to snowbasin for over 15 years. It is a standard stop on our annual pilgrimage to Utah. Today ruined my ability to trust this mountain anymore. It has been a light snow year in Utah this year, which makes HONEST snow reports crucial in our decision making process of how to spend our very limited time in Utah. Today's report was borderline fraudulant. No where did they disclose that the conditions were spring like conditions. When I brought it to the attention of managment, I was treated like I was crazy and stupid. I never asked for my money back, I simply asked for acknowledgement of the inaccruate snow report. Instead of acknowleding my concern, they stated that they do not control the website, and advised me to contact the marketing dept. Really? Now I'm out $250 but more importantly, I've lost time I cannot get back. Sadly, the powers that be need to keep the sales numbers up and cannot simply give accurate reports because the truth would drive sales down. I'm very dissapointed. Just for full disclosure I told the ticket manager to go F@#k herself after losing my patience from not feeling heard or valued. I have never been so disappointed.

LOVE this place. It has a big-resort feel without the big-resort/corporate pretension. Friendly people working here, quick ticket booth, nicely groomed runs, safe operations. Despite the snowfall all day, I loved the atmosphere - and the snow was AWESOME!
I liked that the parking lot was not far from the lifts/base, but also has a shuttle so you can either walk or hop on the van. I'll be hitting this place again, even if it's a little further from my house than Park City.

Loved snowboarding with my cute instructor Ryan. We did the earn and learn program where you get 4 lessons, rentals and a season pass for $499. It's the greatest deal . Employees always makes sure that your happy and taken care of . It's a gorgeous resort . The food is excellent. Worth the family fun .

As a Southern Californian, the only Snow____ resort in Utah I had heard of was Snowbird. And I heard good things about it. So when a friend invited me to ride their home mountain Snowbasin, I had no reference point and low expectations.

I m glad to say this resort blew my mind. It was a little busy but the snow was amazing, the lodges are spectacular and the piste was great too. I d definitely go back if I could.

Nice facility but lockers are located a long distance from rental area so if you want to secure your street gear its inconvenient. The snow was almost all machine made which isn't that bad but the grooming doesn't breakup the icy layer that forms resulting in very poor surface with large icy patches. Also the only way to get from one side to the other is to go back to the top and ski a traverse, if you get tired on the back its no fun getting back to the front where lodges and parking are located. This isn't as much a problem for locals as for a visitor trying to get acclimated, then the potential for accidents and injuries is greater.
