Fabulous skiing in the winter and great hiking in the summer.
Very nice resort, maybe somewhat pricey but very cool. Snow was low still but they had snowmachines going.
Great variety of runs, very friendly staff, good food and nice lodge. Even though it was busy today, lift line waits were minimal.
Really enjoyed my time here. The view was amazing, and it was also kid-friendly.
Did a spartan race here and the venue was challenging and amazing!
Haven t skied a run yet but after staying at St.Regis in Deer Valley I can tell you the main facilities are much nicer. Great staff this far and took me 2 mins to get a lift ticket
Back side boarding paradise. Like most of Utah's mountains, the diamonds are no joke and the doubles usually involve cliffs or chutes. Snowbasin has plenty of them!
This place is beautiful. I very never done any skiing here, but I went to a summer wedding at Needles Lodge and the view was incredible.
This place is awesome. Their entire process is well thought out. Perfectly transitioning us from equipment rental to the group lessons made a stressful & chaotic time with 3 kids who had never skied before very pleasant. the group lessons are done by great personable instructors who really have a good grasp on how to teach. The view from the mountain is stunning and I wish this mountain were closer to home!
It is so much fun and I love watching movies there in the summer!!!
The most luxurious lodges, staff go out of great skiing thanks to the snowmaking help to Mother Nature.
I was really excited to come see what snowbasin was all about. I had heard that it was the gem of Utah. The facilities were really nice, fairly well kept and bathrooms built for a king. (They really are amazing). However I was not impressed with the interaction with restaurant staff requiring footwear when my feet were In immense pain. I was not allowed to walk around without ski boots, yet no signs were posted and I ve never had issues at other ski lodges. I know the risk walking around without boots. The hot chocolate machine was out, I notified the staff and received a snarky reply well use the other side . Not impressed with the staff interactions at all. I frequent Alta and Park City, the staff are amazing and friendly so I was expecting some level of courtesy. This is a small town feel and if you aren t a local, they don t care. There is one exception... one of the patrollers names Mark, from Huntsville, was very very helpful and friendly. I had a question on my bindings and Instead of pawning us off to the shop and came over and took a look at it and gave me directions to a workbench to tighten a screw. He didn t seem like i was bothering him, he was so helpful.
The skiing was okay. It s been a low snow year, I don t hold the resort accountable for snow quality. Could be fun terrain on a good powder day. Though, watch out for the local skiers that bang their ski poles together and yell get out of the way on a narrow cat track, even though I was downhill from them.
Bottom line, disappointed in my experience and am not rushing to go back anytime soon, there are many other resorts in the area that are worth my time and money.
Also, look at other reviews and snowbasin response... apparently they think EVERYONE gives them a 5 Star review.
The resort is beautiful and the food is great! A lot better than I thought! Definitely going back
A really nice resort! Comfortable gondolas take you quickly (and warmly) from base to summit. Beautiful lodges for a decent priced lunch wit gorgeous view of mountains. Snowbasin really has got olympic class!! Nice big open areas around Strawberry Express for lots of powder without being too steep. We will for sure come back on our next ski trip to Utah. Well worth the extra drive from SLC and it is not crowded, even if it was Christamas.
When there is snow- 5 stars hands down- even with little snow- still awesome.
Helpful staff! Everytime we come here the staff is very nice and all the lodges are clean. The food is always very tasteful. Even just a simple slice of pizza is very enjoyable here. I've had to get rentals here before and they are well maintained.
Tons of area to ski or snowboard. Gondola rides up the mountain to bike down in the summer. Beautiful lodges. Summer concert series. A bit of a drive, but a fun place.
Very friendly staff. I highly recommend going to the Blues, Brew, and BBQ events every Sunday during the summer. The event is free and the food and beer is priced fair considering the type of event.
We went up there to see the fall colors. It was gorgeous up there. It's even more beautiful when there's snow up there. Of course, it's hard to find a parking spot then but is so worth it.
Went up to snowbasin to snowboard. It's gorgeous up there and not very busy even on peak days. 10/10 would recommend.
My husband and I got married at snowbasin in October and we truly couldn t have had a more perfect or fairytale-like wedding!! It was truly a DREAM. Kimberly Miller helped is to plan out the perfect day including every detail. The day of the wedding felt so stress free because of the staff at snowbasin that took care of all that we had planned. I would totally get married here all over again because of how special they made us feel!! Thank you to Alex Musil as well, she did a wonderful job putting things together!
The food was magnificent, the cake was Devine, and the environment was just filled with love and romance. It was truly a gorgeous day and I would recommend anyone getting married there that wants a stress free day!
Incredible lodge, plenty of parking, expensive food.
I really want to love this place. Terrain is decent, and it's off the beaten path from other resorts. But between the considerable decrease in quality of snow, and the ridiculous employees, I would head elsewhere. Fancy bathrooms aren't worth being hustled around huge barriers when there is no line, or having your pb&j taken away(twice actually) when you explain to an employee you need the sugar now. The 47 rule signs in 256 size font at every restaurant, lift line, and restroom are just too much.
Great place. Doing their best with what this season brought us.
Special place with few lift linea especially on the weekdays. Grooming is well done and allot of varied territory to explore. Excellent facilities!
Great resort, great staff, great mountain, great food. Love the fact that there is no hotel or real estate at the base.... definitely less "touristy"
The staff and venue at Snowbasin for our daughters wedding was outstanding! Kristine Cline, our event coordinator, helped in every possible way to make her wedding spectacular. Every aspect from the ceremony at Needles Lodge to the reception in Earls Lodge was made perfect by their professional and helpful staff. Because Snowbasin is such a beautiful location and each lodge has it's own gorgeous setting we only needed to have candles and flower centerpieces for the tables and a few flowers for the wedding ceremony. This takes away the stress of decorating. All of our guests loved the food and had a blast going up the gondola for the ceremony. We highly recommend Snowbasin for your wedding. We couldn't have asked for anything more!
Good place to learn and excellent burgers in the lodge!
Best customer service I have ever experienced anywhere! Amazing accommodating staff that are on point and go above and beyond! They are happy and professional and very dedicated to making sure that you have a infertility experience! They value their customers as well as their employees, this is very obvious! Nothing but wonderful things to say and I will make sure and spread the word about how great this place is!!
It is a place where you can enjoy hiking with a mountaineering group, and there are many trails, so you can see a lot of people who enjoy mountain climbing.
Snow Basin is an excellent ski resort. The facilities are well maintained and flow along even when busy. Food is excellent and the wait staff were helpful.
Enjoyed an afternoon of music at Snow basin on Sunday. Sunny and warm...and crowded
Beautiful resort with great views. Dining options were varied and flavorful. Portions were large, maybe a bit overlarge.
Only complaints is they make snow (a little ice at times). #firstworldproblems
Beautiful setting, great lodge, gluten free and vegan options on the menu. A good variety of runs. Well run gondola line.
Top resort
High speed quads
Lots of Terrain
Lots of steep
High brow eatery and lodge
I ve been enjoying this mountain resort for several years now and would absolutely recommend it to all of my friends and family. Winter activities are my passion, but the summer time activities also make for a great weekend and a nice escape from the valley heat. Keep up the great work Snowbasin! Looking forward to many more years of enjoyment.
Great resort. Incredible ski lodges. Lots of groomer runs.
Great skiing! The food quality has gone down hill... And the prices have gone up...
Will always be my favorite resort! Real people at the lifts to help you and ensure you have a great day rather than scanner machines that don't work
We went in the summer to the concert, great location and great time
This is a great resort for every type of skier. There are plenty of groomed runs and beginner trails, beautiful lodges, and advanced terrain. Overall, a great experience every time.
What can I say its Basin man. 100% 5 star ski resort.
I came to Snowbasin for snowboarding, and the facilities were very nice, I was too busy.
Always love going to Snowbasin. I'll be back again very soon.
Went up for a company party. Awesome place to have fun!
Worst resort / only bad resort, I have skied in Utah. Over half the lifts were closed. The slopes were littered with ski schools, and several of the runs were closed for racing. We had to ski the same runs over and over through bottle necked slow zones. The last time I will ski there.
Issues:
Lessons are full of discount pass holders and not worth the money.
No parking on weekends -seriously you need to take the ski bus up
Food quality suffering. Fries are old tasting and salads wilty
ITS GETTING REALLY CROWDED.
So full you can't even access side country owned by the forest service anymore.
Thanks but I think I'll save my money next year. More often than not I'd rather just do something else and avoid this crowd.
Very nice ski resort/area that my son and a friend enjoyed. The parking is a little confusing as to how close you can get to the actual lodges but overall the place is great. Their magic carpet for beginners is the best we have seen- it's extra long and the areas to go down are super wide and provide a nice decline and turns if one wants. It's actually faster to walk on the side of the magic carpet, if you're using a snowboard for example and the staff doesn't mind. I would definitely recommend skiing here since it's not ultra huge, especially for families, but offers everything one could want to ski and snowboard.
I had never been to a catered event here.
The food was fantastic and the venue was beautiful!
If your looking for a fun place to chill or explore, snowbasin is your ultimate playground
Love coming to Snowbasin! There is plenty to do year round and their staff is awesome! I've been snowboarding and biking here for over 8 years and still have yet to have a negative experience. The lodges are always clean with great food and entertainment. Would highly recommend visiting anytime of season!
Nice up here...but NOT open Monday to Friday for lifts. Not annotated on the website to in order to not show a "bad image".
Brews, blues and BBQ. Something you should definitely check out.
Beautiful!! Blues brews and bbqs is a wonderful time.
FALSE ADVERTISING!!!
They have a billboard that says Family Pass Starting at $249, yet they have no family passes starting at $249. They have youth passes starting at $249. I was told the justification for advertising a family pass at $249 is because the youth are part of the family. I was also told that no ski resort in the world would sell family passes for $249. This may be true, but I don't see Powder Mountain advertising family passes for $249.
They could have said "Family Fun. Passes starting at $249" or "Youth Passes Starting at $249" or many other things. Instead, they offer this language aimed at getting buyers to call, only then do they explain what they actually sell. Classic bait and switch.
The GM on the phone acted as if there is nothing wrong with the advertisement, even though he readily admits there is no family pass available for $249. By tolerating this type of communication, we, as a society, dumb ourselves down, to the point were even those running ski resorts no longer recognize the difference between truth and fiction.
Look, this might be a great organization but standing by weak justifications for misleading (lying to) their target market is, at best, in poor taste and really reflects the type of managerial thinking that is eroding ethical discourse within our contemporary culture.
High quality service. Love the gondolas. Everyone is just so happy to be on the hill, especially the staff.
Mountain biking, hiking, and Blues Brews and BBQ in the summer, and skiing/snowboarding in the winter. What's not to love!
Decent sized mountain with terrain the whole family can enjoy or even great terrain you would want to bring your family on. The resort has excellent food and guest services do their job above and beyond.
Nice location. Very beautiful year round. There is always something to do here. Skiing during winter and hiking and biking during summer. The gondola ride is available year round.
Great mix of terrain with long runs, Light as air powder, and spectacular scenery. Two gondolas kept us warm all day with minimal lines. Food was also awesome. So pretty much perfect. Definitely don't go!!
