Great service, awesome food. Portions were larger than expected, and even the leftovers were delicious. Happy to have found this place due to the selection for those with food allergies and dietary preferences.

If you're looking for amazing Chinese food with authentic flavors outside of the International District, (indeed outside of San Francisco's China Town) then Judy Fu's is where you want to eat at.

This place was recommended to me by a local Seattlite and I am so glad I followed her advice. Judy Fu (who still owns the restaurant and is always there with her husband ready to greet patrons and just mingle with customers) and her recipes are hands down some of the best Chinese food I've had in a while. It is only rivaled by more authentic Chinese flavors and recipes that I've found in San Francisco's China Town. This restaurant is a great balance between authentic gourmet Chinese food, and favorite local hidden family restaurant. Try their General Tso's chicken, and buy their hot chili oil. I love the free tea that you can indulge in at the front of the restaurant while waiting for a take out order.

The prices are fair for the flavors and authenticity the restaurant purveys and the best part is that they deliver! You can even place an order and pick up!

The first time I went to Snappy Dragon was within a month after their opening (over 20 years ago). The quality and tastiness of the food has remained consistent over the years.

Some of their specialties include jiao-zi (dumplings) and hand made noodles. One of my friends called Snappy "the land of doughy goodness." If you order a noodle dish you must get the hand made noodles!

The non-doughy dishes are delicious too. My two favorites are Mongolian Beef and Dry Sauteed String Beans in Black Bean Sauce.

Bonus: if you fall in love with some of their sauces you can by a jar/bottle of it to take home.

Great food, huge portions, reasonably priced, quick service. The only downside: plates weren't very clean and they reuse their wooden chopsticks.. it took 3 attempts until I got clean ones with no previous food remains. Chopsticks are cheap... You should probably use them only once.

Very disappointing dinner. When I called to place order I was told they were really busy would be 45 min. I picked up on time only to get home finding cold food congealed together in big clumps including the hot and sour soup (how does that happen?). The pancakes for moo shu chicken were so thick they fell apart and tasted gross. Pork fried rice was mushy containing long fatty pieces of pork instead of the norm bbq pork pieces. We had to re-heat everything in microwave. A wasted $60 including tip, and even asked for extra fortune cookies got two! The picture is of our food re-heated. Don't waste your time and money!

Wow, this place has gone downhill. I used to eat here in college and it was very good, but tonight was not! Maybe just because they were super busy, but I don't think so...

Duck was incredibly salty, indicating way too long in the brine. However they also managed to dry it out, so it must have been cooked way too long as well. The steamed buns were completely dried out and hard to eat. Chow mein noodles were stuck together in clumps. Fried rice was not cooked thoroughly, and the green pepper was almost completely raw.

No thanks. I'll be driving the extra few miles to Black Pearl next time...

No place better-Anywhere!!!
If you haven't been here, you have no idea what your missing. Chow Mein noodles that are hand made on site.
Thick and chewy...the best.

The crispy eggplant here is a must and sesame chicken is solid. Love the texture of the hand-pulled noodles, though they don't offer much flavor-wise. Delicious when mixed with sauces from other entrees.

American style Chinese food. Most food are thicken. Green onion pancake is yummy. Wonton swimming in peanut sauce is totally different from the original kind. We are party of 15, mostly from mainland China, these food are not very authentic to us.

whew Spicy! But so fresh, you can taste the vegetables freshness and still get the crunch. The wonton soup was ok. It did the trick however, I wanted soup. Nothing too special for me at least. Chicken dish was another super spicy dish. I was sweating after a few bites. However, all was made fresh and with flavor. The homemade potstickers is a bit extra in their dough. Some may love that, however it was maybe too much for me. Those the pork filling inside was yummy. Overall a great experience, servers are friendly, and a menu full of options. We would be willing to come back and try something different. :)

Went twice even though the first time was not good. Seeing the glowing reviews, we figured maybe it had jjustbeen an off night. But dear reader, it was not just an off night.

Both times the food was quite bland, and I say this as the kind of American Dad who will (unfortunately) eat quite a bit of almost anything. Several of the dishes appeared to have been seasoned only with lots (and lots) of salt. One, a vegetable dish, was the among the top ten saltiests things I have ever eaten.

We had their land and sea stew special as well, which came in an absolutely huge portion, and contained many foods I like individually (scallops! Squid! Pork!) But it was confusingly tasteless.

Anyway, sorry to Map Leaf neighborhood for not liking your favorite spot, but man. You guys should really head down to the international district sometime and give literally any of the Chinese spots down there a try.

We love the food at Snappy Dragon and have never been disappointed by the quality. It's our neighborhood Chinese place and I don't think we'd trade it for any place else. However, the service can vary -- we've had wrong orders a couple of times and a misplaced order once. We've gotten coupons once or twice to make up for the mistakes. It's also a little pricey. If you're ordering delivery or takeout and have a rice cooker, save yourself a few dollars and make the rice at home! But again, the food is absolutely delicious!

Came here for gluten free Chinese food twice but but not impressed. We ordered the garlic chicken and crispy duck first time. The duck was overcooked, bun was kinda hard, and garlic chicken was okay but a tad too salty. Second time we ordered the salt & pepper chicken, which was WAY TOO breaded, and Kung Pao chicken, which tasted exactly the same like the garlic chicken we ordered last time.... This will likely to be our last visit.

Family style dinners. Share the meals! Lots of food and all super delicious. There were 4 of us and we realized that we only needed 3 plates halfway through. Definitely worth the price! If you are over 21 and have a DD get the Lychee Martini with Gin is the way to go.

Food took 1.5hrs from order to pickup despite and estimate 45min time given at order. Paid for order and cashier estimated 5min until order was up. Waited 30min standing in front of cashier and order not called out. Asked again, and after couple of mins of looking, the order was found on the shelf by the cashier. They also called my wife despite the fact the I paid should have clued them to the fact I was picking up. This is the second fail, we have had with this restaurant with the other family having a delivery order take 1.5hr, despite a much shorter estimate time. Good food if you are willing to waste time for food. My wife could shop and cook dinner in the time for these folks to serve food either takeout or delivery.

The best Chinese food in the city. The house noodles and potstickers are great! The place is always packed and is subsequently very loud and the experience suffers accordingly. Try to go during off times.

Meh overall. Got dinner there for the first time tonight. Mongolian beef, general tso, chow mein and hot and sour soup. Mogolian beef - not sure what kind of beef it was, but it wasn't good and nothing like your standard Mongolian beef. At first I thought we got the wrong order. General tso's was super red (I assumed it was some sort of sweet and sour dish). Soup was okay, and ccow mein was pretty good. Very big portions but nothing I'd come back for :(

Everything here is solid. What's kept me coming back over the years are the pork dumplings in spicy peanut sauce. Service is always good. Parking sucks but that's the neighborhood, not the restaurant.
