The food was delicious. The place was freezing, and you could feel the cold air coming through the walls and windows. I was frozen the entire time best wonton soup I have ever had. I loved everything we tried on the menu. You must go immediately, just bring a jacket.

Everything was delicious here, the wait staff was professional and fast, layout is cozy. Almost feels like eating dinner in someone's home. They have coloring for kids and sauces you can buy to take home. so many different options for condiments to take home and buy it's almost like somewhere you can do your Christmas shopping!

Amazing, American style, Chinese food. Probably the best in Seattle because I haven t been able to find a great American Style Chinese food restaurant since moving here from the east coast. Bonus points because it has many gluten free options, finally an Asian restaurant that gets it! Cute restaurant and very friendly and helpful staff.

I came here based on awards won and high review ratings. Pot stickers were good. Chow mein with home made noodles and sweet and sour chicken was inedible. It reminded me of grocery store take out but just didn't taste good at all. We left without eating and my son, who has been known to dumpster dive usually eats anything.

Small? Yes. Easy to find? Yes. Best Kung Pao Chicken I've had in years? Huuuuuuge yes. For $14 *after tip* I was able to get one of Snappy Dragon's lunch specials that included a huge helping of white rice (could have done brown or fried), hot and sour soup (could have done wonton), BBQ pork (could have done an egg roll), and 3-star Kung Pao Chicken that was PERFECTLY 3-star.

Good, reasonably priced lunch specials. Enough food for one hungry person or a less hungry person with leftover. It comes with a choice of spring roll or BBQ pork slices (2). The spring roll is well fried but the filling is mostly cabbage. The hot and sour soup is tasty. The Mongolian tofu has good flavor but I wish it came with some veggies besides hunks of green onion.

In three words, "just great food"!! The restaurant looks small from the outside, but don't be deceived by their looks. The quality of their food is amazing, and the portions are quite a bit. Two of us shared a plate of vegetarian chowmein and kung pao tofu, and still had left overs to bring home. They have good selection of authentic Chinese dishes and drinks, a nice touch was the fragrant Chinese tea served right before the food arrived. Highly recommended!

Foods good but if you have a pick up or delivery order open the sack and make sure everything is there including fortune cookies hot sauce and soy sauce. They've left stuff out of two separate orders of mine.

Best Chinese delivery in my area, that simple. The pan-seared dumplings are improbably good and hand-made. The option for homemade noodles is also very nice.

The only downside is the VERY long wait time, but this is disclosed when you order and relatively accurate. Totally worth the wait and somewhat hefty price, in my opinion.

My favorite Chinese food in the city. Family run with amazing szechuan dishes and house made noodles. The pot stickers are top shelf. The quality is always consistent and very fresh.
I love the szechuan beef, ants on a branch, and tea smoked duck, but so many things to eat it's always hard for me to decide.
I always look forward to a visit here!

As an American-Chinese born and raised in SoCal, I know my Chinese food. This is pretty decent -American- Chinese food with some good variety. A safe choice for groups. Improvement could be made in value, it's a little pricey for the portion sizes. But if I want comfort, solid food, I'll come here.

I don't think criticism on how Americanized it is, or how there's better "real" Chinese around or on the Eastside, is fair. If you're looking for this type of food, Snappy Dragon does it best. If you're not, go elsewhere.

The portions here are GIANT so A++ for value. The mushu pork was really good - pancakes were thick but at least they don't break on you. The eggplant was more breaded and fried- not what I was expecting. I would say the food is average but the portions make it well worthwhile.

Used to be our favorite place for chinese. Huge disappointment the last 3 times. Chow mein on homemade noodles was almost nothing but noodles and extremely bland. Mongolian beef and potstickers were sub par. Sorry but 3 times of mediocrity and your out....

Can't get enough of Judy Fu's!
All the dishes are great, though our favorites are the salt & pepper chicken (or prawns), and Judy's home-made noodles and jiao-zi. Good cocktails too!

The food is great but tonight our takeout order wasn't ready for a full 30 minutes after I was told it would be. I don't mind a wait, but at least be real about when my food will be ready when I place the order.

I've tried most of the menu, and I've never had anything that wasn't delicious. This is classic American-ish Chinese but with a definite authentic feel. The family that runs it are great, service is always good (even though its usually crowded), and I highly recommend it. Is it 100% "Authentic Chinese"? No, and it doesn't have to be. ....Besides, most 'authentic' places don't have homemade noodles and wontons.

Not sure why anyone would give this place one star. I assume they run another Chinese restaurant across town.

The Dragon was toothless but drooled on everything!
I am amazed that this restaurant has received accolades and awards! What I saw was large, homestyle plates of food; most people eating noodle dishes, apparently because they are homemade. If the fried vegetable potstickers were an indication of the noodles then you can keep them, too. The potsticker wrapper was very thick, tough and chewy. I could barely cut them with my fork and I am no wimp. The filling was tasty, but just chopped spinach out of a bag as its base. Our very plain "chicken with garlic and vegetables in Szechwan sauce was very salty and smothered in sauce and no garlic that we could find or taste. Many pieces of bell pepper (in both our dishes), were too big to be bite-sized.
The "sliced Cod" with black bean sauce was not with black bean sauce, but Szechwan, and I did not realize their mistake till writing this... The cod was battered and fried. The menu does not state this! The batter, like the potstickers, was overdone and tough. The fish itself was good.
The only thing positive I can say about this meal is that the portions are large and the ingredients were fresh and of good quality. It is popular with families. There were no Asians dining here that I saw...
The first glass of my wife's red wine was absolute plonk! We sent it back and the replacement glass was OK. They opened a new bottle or box for us, it seems.
This is not real Chinese food as I know it. It is the over sweet, over salty, over sauced, heavy-handed Americanized version. Service was acceptable. Our waitress wore a Snappy Dragon T-shirt with holes in it.
Also, the restaurant is very noisy. The walls are hard and basically bare. I'm assuming this was once a home.

If you are into take-out, large portions, think Sweet and Sour Pork is the typical Chinese dish and the cat's meow and have never eaten where Asians eat, then this place is for you.

Judy Fu's Snappy Dragon is a long standing pillar of the Maple Leaf neighborhood, and the rightful recipient of numerous awards over the years. All their food is good, but they are especially known for their homemade noodle chow mein, which is worth the extra $2 every time, and in more recent years they have made a reputation for their steamed dumplings.

The food is so good that I routinely make the trip, despite now living more than 20 miles away.

Everything was fresh, chicken wings were a delicious and saucy mess, the price was right, the customer service was genuinely nice. A great example of a neighborhood restaurant that is comfortable doing what it does and nailing it. Will be ordering take out again soon.

The portions are definitely huge, but the quality is not too good. The food, especially the veg rolls were raw and very lightly fried. Probably rushed through the fryer. They were unpalatable and we ended up not eating more than a couple of bites of them. The cauliflower and chicken were not cut into decent sized pieces. I could get 5-6 bites from each piece, which is a lot.

Pork dumplings (jiao zi) are so amazing here. They rival Din Tai Fung's. The other Chinese food here is pretty standard you could get elsewhere in town. Atmosphere needs an update, beer selection not bad although no draft.

Food is fairly good but delivery service is exceptionally bad. We've had multiple experiences of being told that we would have to wait an hour/1.5 hours for delivery and had to call to find out they forgot the order or it will take another hour. Next time we'll order it a few days in advance...

Hands down the absolute best! Every sauce is so savory and bursting with unique flavors, it's hard to pick just one. The homemade noodles are definitely made with love, because they are perfect! I recommend getting anything on the menu that has noodles or dumplings. I can't stop raving about this place, it is the absolute best!
