A very nice, quiet place to eat with great views of Elliot Bay. The food is great but the service is sometimes slow. Good to go when you're not in a hurry.

The Palisade was just shy of marvelous. A VERY special birthday for my wife. The food was magnificent, the service was almost attentive, the table was in the middle of everything, so it was quite busy and noisy. The view of the city lights helped the cause. Would we do it again...yes, but not for a very special occasion.
The bartender is awesome. I came in before our event. Food was standard for a happy hour slider.
1 star for your 4.9% LWgeSC surcharge that is added to contribute to employee wages . Take your passive aggressive politics and leave seattle.
Where is your wheel chair ramp surcharge, Manager wage surcharge, or live fish tank surcharge?
Good view, good service. Steak wasn't so good. Prawns were very tasty.
Excellent menu, great service, and wonderful view location. One of the best restaurants in Seattle.
Amazing in every way! Perfect for that special occasion!
I dined at Palisade recently and they hit it out of the ballpark! When I made the reservation online, I noted that it would be a celebration of my girlfriend's birthday and hopefully, our engagement. Things got shuffled earlier in the day, so nothing was official by dinnertime. As if on cue, my girlfriend went to use the ladies' room after we checked in. The Maitre d' immediately asked if I'd done it! When I said no, she asked if they could help! We quickly devised a plan for them to present the ring on a covered platter. They even had rose petals on the table and brought us some champagne to set the mood. Everything went off perfectly and we proceeded to have an incredible evening. The food was outstanding, with portions that make you feel like you're getting your money's worth and the staff was great, even taking a few impromptu pictures as I proposed!
If you're looking for a place for a special occasion or romantic dinner, you can't go wrong with Palisade! I can't wait to go back!
My boyfriend took me there for my birthday we had a beautiful evening our tables had rose petals about them the menus are so heavy it was cool though the food is great Naviance is just beautiful
Nice restaurant. Great views. Delicious food! A bit pricey though!
Great view, unique decor, and amazing staff. We had seafood and beef, and everything was delicious. Drinks were made and presented well, and the wine selection was extensive. Our server Tod really made our experience one to remember.
Always a great time here. Food is excellent and staff is always a pleasure. Decor and environment is great to just watch while you relax.
Great atmosphere and views of the sound and Seattle. Food was really good overall. There prime rib was not the best but the wait staff and everything else was great.
Fantastic brunch. Worth the price, great service, great view of course. A must if you are entertaining out of towners.
Went here for Sunday brunch and it was perfect. Compared to saltys on alki beach this palisade is much better. Food was about the same as saltys. Both offer great food selections. However the service was far better at palisades and it s not as crowded. It feels very small and tight at saltys. Tables are so close to each other and so many people but not at palisade. I would definitely recommend palisade over saltys for weekend brunch.
Wonderful meal, beautiful view and attentive staff!
Visited this place for Tom Leykis' Final Seattle Dinner; best time ever!
Amazing. Delicious brunch, beautiful view- A Must!!
Every dish, including deserts, is delicious! You wouldn't want to spend $50 on brunch every time, but for special occasions makes sense. Beautiful and peaceful location makes it a nice place to walk after brunch.
A must try. It's a bit expensive but while worth it
Amazing brunch spread and incredible service. Bottomless mimosas, great seafood, tasty benedicts, and a beautiful view in a lovely setting. Worth every penny.
The best see food and view in town. Never fails us. Great for special occasions. Consistently good service alone complimentary valet parking.
One of my favorite go-to place for a pleasant and laid back summer/fall day to bring tourist friends and families to, nice view, good seafood tower and seafood louise.
Excellent waterfront restaurant. Wonderful ambience. Menu selections feature oyster selections, sushi, and a selection of seafood and steaks.
Enjoy a wonderful view while dining
In addition to the main restaurant, there are 3 catering room areas for private events.
Will never go again. Used to love it but it has changed drastically for the worse. Yuck.
Food is good, but they do that political statement of charging extra to cover the new minimum wage. I'm not interested in tolerating a political statement when paying premium prices for great service, which it was, from penurious management/owners.
Great food and atmosphere. Perfect for Happy Hour with a sunset view.
Food and scenery was top notch. The staff didn't feel as attentive or professional as I would have expected.
Over priced garbage. It's like bar food. Get wasted before you eat and it won't be so bad.
Every other Thursday lunch with Magnolia Rotary. Always appreciate catering to our club. Thanks!
I had a wonderful birthday dinner here. I initially didn't have time to write a review so just gave the 5 stars, but a kind response from the restaurant prompted more- I appreciate places that leverage their reviews. My table had rose petals on it and a HANDWRITTEN birthday card with a pretty drawing in it. Everything tasted fantastic, I had the duck (cooked perfectly and with very complimentary sides) and my husband had the seafood trio (with scallops that were divine and a parsnip puree that was a delight). The service was lovely and attentive and the restaurant very beautiful with a water feature and lovely trees. Of course we were treated to a gorgeous sunset as well. Topped off the night with the creme brulee trio and a marinaside stroll, and could not have had a more pleasant night. Thank you.
Classy restaurant with fascinating history and traditions. Excellent, seamless service. Modern cuisine in a great view setting. Classic Pacific Northwest dining, worthy of a special occasion.
Good service and great food. Nothing lacking on the brunch buffet. Top notch!
This is one of the best places to go for the food, ambience and view. It is right on the marina. Make sure to bring your camera with you if you go. It has its own parking lot as well.
I love coming here for happy hour for their food and drinks. I highly recommend the oven roasted crab cakes. Very little filler and lots of crab. The apple jicama slaw adds enough sweetness to balance out the saltiness of the tarragon mustard aioli. Also the warm crab and lobster dip is a nice comfort food since it is thick and creamy with chunks of crab and lobster with a side of macrina bread for dipping.
I have also been here for programs and I have to admit, they do their seafood better than their steaks.
Love the dessert here. I've had the best sorbet here which was a combination of guava and passion fruit.
As a vegan I rarely find myself dining out, however on the occasion of my parent's 60th anniversary my wife, my parents and myself had brunch at Palisade as it is a favorite spot of my folks. When making the reservations my wife asked if they had anything vegan on their menu. Chef Brett Howell got on the phone and assured her that he would rise to the challenge of accommodating me though I asked for no special treatment. When we arrived Chef Brett greeted us at our table and over the course of our stay presented a spectacular meal which he and his staff had prepared. Two sumptuous salads accompanied by fresh, piping hot blueberry lemon muffins and vegan butter on the side. Next came a tofu quiche with mushrooms. Brett had been working on the recipe for 4 days according to the manager! It was absolutely magnificent!
Then came his risotto which was the best I have ever had anywhere! The pastry chefs made special deserts including coconut truffles, chocolate mousse and chocolate brownies topped with flower shaped icing the entire dish garnished with fresh raspberries, blackberries and fresh mint sprigs. Unforgettable treatment and service from the minute we made the reservations to the minute we left. Our server Desiree made us feel so welcome as did the manager who came out and spoke with us. Brett personally served my meal. I'm just a local musician and Brett and The Palisade made me feel like a rock star. I would urge them to offer vegan choices as they are so good at creating a menu which was very soul satisfying. Thank you guys all for the truly great experience. Outstanding!
We had a family dinner Christmas Eve which was a very large and will kept buffet. We were fortunate enough to be seated at a window facing the Sound were we watched the water traffic and harbor lights during dinner. Our waitress was very attentive and kept us with clean plates and drinks all evening. The buffet selection was quite amazing ranging from sushi and crab legs to prime rib, turkey and all the fixings. Next time we visit Seattle we will come back for a meal during the day.
Good food, great scenery and professional services from the staff.
Best restaurant around. Great view, friendly and attentive service. Food is excellent, especially the salmon, which is saying something around Seattle.
The ambiance and service is excellent! While my partner had the kobe beef and loved it I had the crab stuffed shrimp. Mine was overcooked and rubbery. I highly suggest replacing the rice side dish with a wildrice choice. We will go back and hope that the over cooked shrimp was a rarity.
Romantic and fine dining restaurant with an enjoyable view, music, quality food and good service. Indoor pond also makes this place unforgettable
Great food selection and very delicious items. Plenty of seafood choices, traditional breakfast, and other distinct items. Great venue.
I was shocked at how subpar everything was. It doesnt take much for me to be satisfied, but for my first time this place really missed the mark. The ambiance is spot on, but the food tasted like it was made for ppl over 60... the bday boy didnt like his halibut at all. My tomahawk was good. Nothing special. Smh
Outstanding location for Seafood. Nice place to think about business. The prices are fair for the quality of food.
The restaurant itself is very cool and in a beautiful location. The crab and steak were both very good. The fingerling potatoes left a lot to be desired. Their lobster and crab bisque did not contain much meat in it. The dessert menu is More
Amazing view (couldn't stop looking!), well orchestrated trio of wait staff (leaped into action when my husband spilled his water glass), nice & comfy seats, ...but too dark (single candle - romantic but we couldn't see the food). And the *very expensive* cuisine left a lot to be desired: Sadly, it far missed even the most base expectations. The food was good (leftovers less so), definitely not the high-caliber we were expecting (darn) with one exception. We had the pu platter, which was mediocre, and a nutty greens-filled salad that was very bitter. However, the lobster/crab bisque was divine - yummy with a few delectable delights in there (fish eggs, homemade croutons?). Not sure if we'll go back, the saltwater fish beneath the floor (seen from a pedestrian bridge) were fun!
The Surf and Turf was very good (5). The Crab Stuffed Mahi-Mahi was so-so (3). Service was excellent.
Delicious Thanksgiving buffet with a beautiful view of Puget Sound and Mount Rainier! Wait staff and all employees were attentive and very upbeat.
The sea view is great.. It was Aleska salmon steak.
I ate fish, but it was so savory... Americans said they like it... It's a high-class restaurant.
Great view restaurant. Very similar to Salty's on Alki if you've ever been there. Service and food are very good.
Great views awesome sea food and good company what's not to love.
I have been here before but tonight was one of the best meals I have ever had! Well worth the $
Three of my friends and I came to Palisade restaurant tonight. We were so disappointed on the services and the foods they have. We order steaks and seafoods. A steak was not cook as the way we ordered. We spoke to a waiter/server. He took a steak back, a little bit time later he came back with the same steak and it was totally burned, which is unacceptable. He also showed races on us, by brought out chopsticks and soy sauce, even though we did not ask for it. So we paid the bill with $500.00 ticket plus tips and walked out. A same waiter was standing at the door and stared at us for a long while with out saying anything, and he continued does that while we were outside in the front door. You should reconsider of this place when you choose them. For us, this is a first time and also a last time. This is a terrible experience ever.
Great place. Been going there for 23 years. Great views and ambience.
We went here to celebrate my wife s new job and this place for a perfect match for a celebratory dinner date. Posting a picture of the dessert below - the king crab was extraordinarily delicious and we had a good time overall. We spent around ~$250 for dinner of 2.
Sunday Brunch Supreme! Fab selection, stunning marina, harbor & city views. Professional service.
Waiters are friendly and first, I love the palisades restaurant
The steak is delicious but way overpriced for the portion size. This place is expensive but does have some good quality food. Both times I ate here I received really bad and rude service. This place is worth trying but hopefully people who go here have a better experience.
Service was perfect, the flavors danced on my tongue, the white chocolate cheesecake was a taste of heaven. The complementary shuttle service is a nice touch.
We had a lovely lunch-great food! I had the fish special and loved it-perfectly cooked. Friends had the chicken and fish n chips. We all had the pear bleu cheese salad and desert. We can not wait to go back.
The best part of our entire evening was our driver, blonde young man who was actually a food runner-hilarious. The very nice suburban was filthy on the inside. You could spend some of that money that you make on the overpriced meals and vacuum the car you pick up guests in. I would be mortified if I sent that vehicle to pick up some high class business person in from out of town. Our server was fantastic, she knew the menu and specials inside and out. She was quite friendly. The cocktail was to die for - hibiscus mojito of some sort. The prawn coctail was to die for and had lovely presentation. The main part of the meal, the prized possession, the winner of them all fell completely short. I had the halibut of the day and it was WAY too salty, ruined it. I could not have dairy so I was excited that the mash potatoes were goat cheese but no, they were regular old taters with some goat cheese thrown in so couldn't do that. I was fine with roasted potatoes until I bit into one and it was as dry as a desert. The asparagus and heirloom carrots were delicious. The bread was gross. The fruit compote that the chef almost didn't give me but the server went back and got it, made the fish so that I could choke it down. I should have asked for a new piece but thought it would get better - it didn't. The other meal was the seafood trio in which the 2 items were great, the salmon was not so great. After the first bite we were not once asked how our meal was. It was almost as if they knew it was bad so didn't want to ask. At a fancy seafood restaurant I expect every meal to be out of this world especially for the prices! Not to mention the living wage tax? You have got to be kidding me! Run a shorter staff or incorporate it into the menu prices, to pass that on is ridiculous and maybe you should not have voted in a higher minimum wage and make everyone else suffer. The fish floating around in the floor and the live music were great, beautiful view, good mood lighting. No military discount which at the cost of what our ticket was, the discount would have been minuscule and we would have gladly given that to someone to vacuum out the vehicle you drive guests in.
We love this place. Great views. Awesome food. Never a disappointment.
Palisade is an absolutte Great Place for Lunch or Dinner. Our kids got to feed the fish in the entry area pond, and that was a nice touch. Very nice kid menu too. Hand written & signed table card & anniversary treat at the end was very nice touches. Highly reccomended place.
We love going to the Palisade Restaurant for special occasions. The food is above average and the service is second to none. You definitely cant beat the stunning views of the city skyline and of course the picturesque views of the marina. My only gripe would be the lighting is way to dark, especially if you are dining late during the fall and winter months. Everyone at my table had to use there flashlight from there cellphones to read the menu. At first I thought maybe as I am getting older my night vision isn't so good but even the teenagers in our party had a hard time. The food was excellent in our most recent visit. There is always some kind of special dish that is seasonal. Our server was very attentive and checked on us often. See you at our next special occasion Palisades.
$$$$ Enjoyable for brunch or special occasion. The view is lovely.
Amazing food and view. Service was slow on a few items but they were comped.
seafood and the setting here is better than most. Super savory. I will be back with my relatives.
Very beautiful ambiance paired with exquisite foods. Perfect for that special occasion it's a must if you're craving high quality seafood.
Once you walk in the restaurant, the atmosphere is amazing.
The seatings a perfect because of the view. If you aren't seated next to the windows then you have a waterfall scenery in the main area.
The waiters are friendly and the tables aren't so cramped.
The food is amazing and the place is clean... i mean clean :)
Great job!!
My husband and I are expecting our first baby in July. We are beyond excited and we wanted to find out the gender in a special way. We planned to have dinner at Palisade and during dessert, we would find out if we were having a boy or a girl. Neither of us had been there before, but we will definitely be going back. It was the perfect setting and the staff went above and beyond. When we arrived at the restaurant, my husband gave the paper to the hostess and asked if they could write the gender on our dessert plate. They said they would do something special for us and we were so pleasantly surprised. After a delicious meal, our waitress came out with the manager and revealed a gift bag that read, welcome sweet baby boy along with the perfect card. While we ate, they sent the valet to get us something special for the reveal. We were so overwhelmed by the effort that they put into this. Our waitress, Sarah H. thanked us for sharing this special night with her, but really we can t thank her enough. She was so amazing and made us feel so special. I will forever be grateful to the staff at Palisade for giving us a night we will never forget. I highly recommend Palisade Restaurant for any special occasion.
An absolute outstanding place for Saturday brunch. Make sure and bring family and lots of friends!
Thanksgiving Buffet dinner at Palisade is fantastic. Amazing view, great food, great service. Kids like to watch fish, count boats on marina.
Beautiful restaurant with a spectacular view and decent food. The wait staff was wonderful.
Lovely food, staff, and scenery. You ll definitely want to dress up for this place. It s right by the marina and has an aquatic feel!
Pretty amazing restaurant! Their salmon was cooked to a very tender state. Oysters were really really good! The view is breathtaking! Service was great as well. All around another must try!
The food is delicious, the service is perfect and the view of the Marina is lovely.
Absolutely over the top service, amazing food, and the best views all around. This place is something else, the decor inside, including the fish pond that you can sit around, or even near the windows to have a view of the harbor or the West Seattle beach line. The food is out of control, oysters are super fresh, steaks are juicy and cooked to perfection, and the desserts will just melt in your mouth. Make sure to be ready to spend a bit of money when going here, but it's worth every penny for any occasion. To top it off, their staff is so helpful and knowledgeable, but super friendly and funny at the same time.
It's off from the glory days. Still a great view. But good food, not great.
