Not sure what is happening with their business. My tenant was unable to organise the inspection since they could not stay home all day to wait. I also tried get it done and booked it in for a Tuesday. They wont tell you a time so I asked to call me in the morning to let me know when they could attent. I have to drive 40 minutes and have two small kids with to consider. They called at 1pm when I was on another call so they left message. I called back and left message 2 times (approx 15 minutes after missed call). Also texted them to call me or tenant to organise visit that day since tenant told me she was home. This would save me the time to drive with my kids. We heard nothing from the inspector. Next morning I received an email saying they were unable to complete inspection. To me this is hardly trying when they call one time and left message. We left several messages and texts asking them to call back. They had 3,5 hours to organise what was scheduled for that day. Sorry guys, you are making it way to hard for your clients. We are going somewhere else.

I would not recommend this company at all.
They came in during the day while I was sleeping as I do night shift. I felt really unsafe.

They didnt knock just came in which is actually breaking an entry and entering without any authority.

It's a bit disturbing. I felt really unsafe.

I don't know if they were watching me sleep or stole things or if they actually had a look at the smoke alarms.

They left the brochure on the bench which is how I knew they came in.
Very untrustworthy. Very disturbing.

We were so impressed with the service from this exceptional company.Josh the supervisor made allowances for the fact my Epilepsy is triggered off by unexpected and high pitch noises and they put the smoke detector in an alternative place on my wall so I could reach it safely.We got a new smoke detector too.The employees were professional and courteous.Thank you for taking my epilepsy into consideration and make Astor my Assistance Puppy and I feel safe from a fire too.

I have just received my 4th notice from this mob advising that they coming to inspect the alarms at the home I rent. Given I have never received a call or message to say they couldn't make it at any one of the three previous dates I have hold out no hope that they will actually make it this time either. Complete zero respect for this company.

Don't turn up when they say they are going to. Late both times. "Serviced the alarm " only to have it going off two days later, u got it down and the battery was corroding it was a very old battery. Dangerous and unprofessional!

Tested my alarm system 17/12/2017. Yesterday the alarm was going off for no reason, wasn't the battery was a faulty device. Happened while I was out the house, went on for over an hour and a half. Made my dog beyond terrified. No apologies on calling, poor customer service. Will not honour any warranty from their checks, because I purchased the property in February and didn't enrol in their bull**** plans. What a pointless company, save your money and don't go through these blithering idiots.

Poor customer service, the lady did not even listen what I was trying to explain to her and interrupted me several times, her manager was of the same attitude.

Now I see where these 1 start all come from

They don't care about their customers at all, just care about their own business.

Smoke alarms installed for 3 days, got called by my neighbour that it would not stop and had to come home from work to turn off. 2 days later, same thing except I left a key for them to take it down. 2 days later, middle of the night another one goes off. We pulled them all down and contacted real estate. Technician came to house and serviced, 2 alarming 12 hours later.
Do not buy, waste of money and constantly alarm at all hours.

This company has entered my house without my permission twice now while no one was home. Both times smoke alarms were faulty. The workers were arrogant and ignorant it seemed they have no interest in either their job or their customers.

They are still non compliant. 2 the batteries are still the original flat ones. 3. They still put their stickers on!!! You are a fool if you give these muppets money.

We have over 450 properties with SAS in Melbourne and can't speak highly enough of their service, professionalism and quality of work. Working with them is such an seamless process. I deal directly with Bonnie and she is great, so pleasant, helpful and patient. Highly Recommend.

Ray White Tugun uses this mob, they turn up at my new rental property wanting to test the smoke detectors if they were responsible for the previous testing they did not do a good job as the detectors that were in the house did not meet Australian Standards 3786-2014 from January 2017 . Charging $99 For pressing a button on a not compliance item.

Dodgy! Don't seem to like attending when someone is home - had one show up try to let themselves in once the moment I went out for all of 5 minutes in an entire day, found one in our bedroom with no smoke alarm in it once too. Just had a person wearing their uniform in traffic who acted quite unprofessionally indeed - how many u-turns should be enough to encourage someone you'd like them not in your rear vision mirror?! Not sure what service he was providing but it was nothing to do with a smoke alarm.

Absolute muppet of a human in a company ute pulled out across Lytton Road from Thynne Road in front of us, and then gesticulates at me. Had to slam on the brakes and swerve to avoid a collision. Hopeless... As a property manager I expect the companies who work along with me to be an extension of the services I provide to my clients. This has not been the case with smoke alarm solutions, and has not been the case for many years now. I changed all my properties over to another alarm servicing company due to complete incompetence I continually experienced.. I now have to deal with you again because of the latest smoke alarm upgrade deal where you include a free alarm servicing subscription. The owner has 2 properties, the 1st property required upgrading but didnt need any servicing until October, the 2nd property didnt require upgrading but had an urgent service due by 21/09/2020. When the representative called me to arrange access etc, I provided details of all this, the owner provided details of this when she directly engaged your services, let it be noted when the rep called me he wasnt exactly sure what he was meant to be doing, I informed him of the 2 properties just as the owner did. He went ahead and arranged a service on the 1st property and not the upgrade as authorised, and then sent me an invoice for an annual service fee. If you are advertising free servicing with upgrades, and the owner authorises an upgrade do the correct job and invoice accordingly... Did nothing about the 2nd property which required the urgent service. I have sent an email and have yet to hear back from them. With something as important as smoke alarm servicing and legislation requirements you would think that smoke alarm solutions would take this seriously. Apparently they don't...

Edit 21/09/2020: I have received a response to my google review yet myself or the owner have not received responses to the emails we have sent last week direct to smoke alarm solutions addressing these problems in the first place. I have not used my work email address for this review due to privacy of my own personal details. Strongly recommend you check your emails to begin with as we have actually emailed your company a number of times about this and the owner chased up and spoke to someone again today.

Thats exactly what happened on this mornings phone call with Chris when he told me "Well we have sent the entry notice so we can enter your property" I proceeded to refuse entry as I have not sighted the Entry notice and if I could see one prior to them arriving in which Chris replied "Im sorry but we have done our due diligence so we are able to enter" This entry notice has been lost in transit from SAS to our Onsite manager and has not arrived. Yes SAS did their legal obligation but I also have my own legal right to refuse if I have not sighted the notice and I do not appreciate feeling panicked that no matter how many times I say no, does your staff tell me its too bad we are coming anyway. After calls to our onsite manager and calls to SAS supervisors and the RTA the appointment was cancelled thank god. What a nightmare morning thanks Chris!

Smoke Alarm Solutions were quick to book in a time to come and fix my smoke alarms. The reception staff I spoke to were lovely, very reassuring and so helpful. Sam the technician is great. He s very polite and did the work in a timely manner. I highly recommend this company. :)

They don't bother asking how high your ceilings are. Tech came initially and didn't have a high enough ladder. I'd already paid the YEARLY SUBSCRIPTION fee and they tried to make me pay ANOTHER $129 to send out a second time with a tall ladder. Absolute BS.

Absolutely lousey service! Was sent my renewal invoice in October, I paid mid November and they didnt bother contacting my tenant until the end of November for an early December service. By that point my tenant had already replaced 1 battery because SAS use cheap Duracel batteries instead of quality ones! Tried calling serveral times and got stuffed around with their call centre rubbish so I rang a local business and have saved myself $44 on the annual fee, she also takes photos of all her work to ensure quality for her customers. Currently still waiting for my refund from SAS which apparently gets processed on Thursdays, but conveniently didn't get processed last Thursday. Definitely won't use SAS ever again, service them myself before giving them another cent!

Been using these guys for years to service Rental property Smoke Alarms. This year I have made spoken to the Office 3 times within 4 days, left 2 messages and still waiting on their emails and return calls.Surely Customer Service Officers would confirm that the emails have been sent, but apparently not so I'm off to another Company.
