I recently worked with car salesman, John Ashworth to lease a Toyota Camry and have to say it was a surprisingly refreshing experience. My lease was up on my 2012 Camry and I while I really liked the car, I decided to shop around a bit and maybe try something different. Not only did I not find a car I liked better for the price and options I wanted, I was exhausted with how long it took and also didn't feel nearly as comfortable with some of the other salespeople I encountered as compared to my experience with John. Simply put, he is very knowledgeable, honest, concise, not pushy, and made leasing my car easy. And, I love my new Toyota Camry!

I brought my wife's Prius in for the free maintenance that comes with a new car and it was fast and easy - and free. Still need to take advantage of the free car wash. I can't believe that replacing a lost key/fob will cost me $450 and considerable time, and that it would cost twice as much if we lost the remaining fob. Wow. The price of this technology and human fallibility (in losing the darn thing) seems a bit extreme.

I would actually give 4.5 stars if I could, and I'd give 5 if only they did a better job washing my car (they always forget the rear of the car). Took my car in last Friday to get a routine service done on it. Sunday backed my car out of the driveway and there was a huge pile of oil under it. Come to find out the technician didn't put the drain plug in right. Also had soap left on my car after car wash!! I called to let them know what happened and the lady on the phone acted like she was annoyed I called and was wasting her time!! I have been a customer for 15 years and will not be going back when my lease is up !!

I purchased a Certified Used 2010 Toyota Prius in 2014. I enjoyed the experience and never felt pressured into buying anything. I came in with a specific monthly payment in mind, and they worked with me in regards to my trade in and the price of the used car in order to meet that number. In addition, there were two instances where I had questions regarding adjusting settings of the car, and they were able to address my concerns without too much wait time.

I would certainly purchase a vehicle from them again!

UPDATE: Two years later and the car is still flawless! Not a single issue or concern! We will definitely be buying another Toyota from them within the next couple of years.

Love my new Tacoma and the sales process was very positive until the closing date. I was expected the truck the first week of March. It arrived early to the dealer and I was invited to close the last day of the month (not my request). I ended up being at the dealer for 1 1/2 hours for what should have taken no more than 30 minutes. I interpreted it as due to their end-of-month backlog with others closing the same day. The brand new truck - only 5 miles on the odometer - was also rushed, with visible dirt marks and light scratches that needed to be buffed.

Felt like the dealer rushed me in to help their monthly numbers, imposing on my time, with no reciprocating benefits to me.

Smart Motors had a large selection of vehicles in the model that we were looking for. Cody did a great of finding the vehicle in the trim level that we wanted. The price of the vehicle we chose was very reasonable.

Stay away from the Express lube service if you don...

Stay away from the Express lube service if you don't want any damage to your vehicle!!
(make sure to inspect your vehicle before and after the service. Document with pictures for proof later)

- I visited smart motor's express lube for a scheduled oil change and experienced one of the worst dealership experience possible. I go extra miles to keep my cars clean and without any cosmetic defects. I always trusted the staff at the dealership to be knowledgeable and responsible, but they really proved me wrong this time.

Upon pulling up to the service garage, I was greeted by one of the service managers. I told him that I was there for the oil change only. This is when everything started to go wrong. After about 10mins of waiting, I hear someone using an impact gun. I ran outside to see where the sound was coming from and found one of the staff removing the wheels off my car!! (I have after-market wheels with aluminum lug nuts installed on the car. and the aluminum lug nuts can have damaged thread if an impact gun is used.) I immediate informed them to stop removing the wheels and asked the service manager why they are performing the service that was not discussed. He answered that they don't ask the customer if the services are complimentary. The ignorance of the service manager really upset me since that was the reason why I specifically told them I was there for the oil change only!! I ended up buying a new set of lug nuts due to the safety concerns after the service.

In additional to the bad experience, one of the wheels was damaged upon inspection after the service which again they denied of doing. service manager promised me that he will review the camera footage. later he told me that he didn't see anything wrong with their service. however, when I requested to view the video, the customer relations staff informed me that the cameras were not working during my service and they were not able to review anything.

Nothing has been done from the dealership to resolve the situation, and I wanted to share this experience with everyone to prevent anymore situations like this.

Every time I visit Smart Motors I feel at home. They truly make you feel like you're family, their priority. Staff is knowledgeable and respectful, more importantly they're conscious about your time! I'm extremely happy with all their work. Chad has helped me with my lease and he's wonderful. He's walked me through everything in a detailed manner and if I need more clarification he'd happily do it. They also have Ball body shop in Middleton and they provide the same top-notch customer service. I'm really happy with these guys at Smart Motors!

If you're looking for a hard sell, go elsewhere.

If you're looking for canned-ham sales tactics, go elsewhere.

If you're looking for highly-trained, educated people who truly LISTEN to what your needs in a vehicle are - and focus on your needs and not over-selling you a car- want to make sure you know your vehicle inside and out before you ever start the engine - and you can go back at any time for more assistance if you need it - you're protected financially in case of an accident - gap coverage is a no-brainer, but seriously much appreciated when you're educated about what it is - then stop in and talk to the family at Smart Motors. Yes, I said family. You get a car there, you're family. You need service there and didn't buy the car there? You're still family! Parts? You guessed it. Family.

Nobody else in this industry will treat you that way.

Do you want a sales team that wants to do everything in their power to get you the best bottom line they can? Smart Motors.

Has there ever been a cornier post on any site ever? Maybe. But that's what you get with an extremely satisfied customer with a laptop!

Jason Hepperly was our salesman helping with purchasing a used car on Saturday and was helpful and went above and beyond for our purchase. He made sure we knew everything about the vehicle and even called to check up on us the following week.

Unfortunately my car stopped in the middle of the road and had to tow it to the nearest dealer aka SMART motors( my first mistake and the only smooth part). Next day, I call them to inquire what happened to the car as a layman. They told me that the battery was down and needs to be replaced (when I described how my car shut down in the middle of the road to the AAA help, he immediately had told me that it is the alternator). Since my battery was under warranty from Firestone, they send me with the battery to get it replaced at Firestone. My Firestone mechanic who I have trusted over the years, also told me that it was the alternator and send me back. Guess what- it was the alternator and they wasted my entire day going back and forth balancing the damn battery (which could have been charged to actually see if it was the battery). This place only knows how to replace things rather than know what the problem is. I highly suggest they change their name, it is very misleading!

It's not hard to find someone to buy a car from, what's difficult is finding a dealership with integrity, who will give you a great deal and treat you like one of the family in the process. When I was shopping, I had several good deals to pick from, I chose a Scion from Smart because I want people who care about my experience with my car to have my back. They have outstanding cars to choose from, kind and patient sales people who won't push you into a contract and a great service with convenient hours. What more could you ask? Go to Smart Motors, you won't be sorry!

2011-ish service is amazing. I looked forward to oil changes. However, when they asked for $100 to install engine and cabin air filter that I bought for $40 at napa and took 2 min to install I lost all enchantment with them. Way overpriced.
2014-ish They notice one of my front headlight bulbs were out. I asked if they have the part/installation costs. the part was 15 or 20, but they wanted to charge $100 to install, saying they had to remove the whole headlight fixture in order to replace one bulb. Instead I went to O'Reilly Auto Parts, bought the bulb for a similar price they quoted, and installed myself in about 5 minutes for free with very minimal effort. They do good work but you may want to get a second opinion and quote before agreeing to a service.

TL;DR - great people that work there but you have to be careful with prices with them. If you need service, you'll look forward to waiting for your car while enjoying free Wi-Fi and refreshments.

Tim Nugent is the sales person with whom you want to work. Knowledgeable, listening, respecting, and nice. I am from a country where we learn to quickly identify sellers that just want to get money out of your pocket, and with Tim I never had that feeling. The check out process was also very smooth. I bought a 2011 Toyota corolla from here about a year ago and the staff and everyone was awesome. I sold the car (too small). I came back to smart motors hoping to get a great deal again but the staff was beyond rude. The manager at Smart Motors and their used lot was a prick who wouldn't even talk to us. We were followed around by a sales man who was making rude and offensive comments. My family has bought our past 5 cars from these guys. We will NOT be doing buisness with them again!!

Express service without appointment available Saturdays 7 a.m.-4 p.m. I called half an hour before I arrived and was told there was an hour wait time. Within an hour of arriving my old battery was tested, replaced with a new one, windshield fluid and tire air added, windshield cleaned plus given a coupon for a free car wash. In the meantime I enjoyed a snack of Cheerios and a cafe latte from the free refreshments available.

I don t understand the positive feedback for this establishment, I walk-in to the express services at 8am to ask about an oil change availability and an employee completely ignored me, walk-in and out the office and after 2 to 5 minutes I was greeted, then I ask for availability and he did not bother to look in the system for a cancellation or availability just refer me down to the service reception. Right at the service reception, a gentleman greeted me ask me about the reason why I couldn t get an schedule service at the express lube and I ask myself the same thing. Probably they don t take walk-ins anymore but I don t recommend this location a very poor customer service and not helpful, I ended up driving away to a different shop thanks to this experience.

I had my 2013 Prius V serviced recently, and as always, the service was divine! Every service rep has always been polite, efficient, and thorough. While waiting, one has all the amenities to be comfortable and feel at home, from the good coffee to yummy cookies, with TVs going and today's newspaper to read in comfortable lounge chairs! A complimentary car wash is always included, which I love! Before leaving, they always go over all that they did to my car, and inform me of present conditions and potential future needs. Thank you to ALL who help keep my Prius in tip-top shape!! I greatly appreciate it.

I brought in a 2003 Camry to have a clunking in the rear of the car checked out. The tech checked out the car, test drove it and said he could not hear any clunking - you would have to be deaf not to hear the clunking driving over any kind of bumps on any road.
I paid $100 for the evaluation, and nothing was done.
I took the car to Percy's auto repair, they found the rear struts were worn out causing the clunking, replaced them, the Camry rides like new, no more clunking !

Came here to test drive the 2019 Corolla Hatchback, and the salesperson was so personable and easy going. She left us to test drive the car since she was already helping a different customer when we came in earlier than scheduled. The waiting area also has coffee, water, soda, and even ice cream! Had a really nice experience at this dealership.

Best experience I have ever had with a car dealership. I have owned Toyota's for 10 years and trade about every 3 years. Alex Parsons is a fantastic sales representative. Very knowledgeable, kind and respectful. Ryan Kutty is an outstanding finance representative! Explained everything in great detail. Peter (did not catch his last name) helped us with all of the new features in our 4Runner! This was excellent. I have never had this experience at any other dealership and he did an excellent job with answering all of our questions. I love my 4Runner! I would recommend Smart Toyota any day of the week.

I have nothing but great things to say about Smart Toyota. A clean waiting area with attentive staff know what they are doing always there to help. They fix things right the first time and don't make you wait unnecessarily. High-speed internet and comfortable working spaces let you work remotely from their waiting room.

To anyone purchasing their first vehicle or a vehicle in general I recommend Smart Motors Toyota/Scion and Seth if they want a very positive car buying experience. Seth helped get the perfect car for me and I know he can help other car buyers get the perfect car for them. Overall they have excellent customer service, are not pushy at all, and treated me very well.

Michael Householder made my car buying experience one that I will never forget. The service that I received while I was there was incredible. This was the first new car that I have ever bought and I have heard horror stories about buying a new car. I was a little nervous so I brought my brother with me and together we agreed that this was the best car dealership that either one of us had ever been to. Dana was very thorough explaining all the finer details and was very nice. She was very patient and understanding with me, as this was my first new car purchase ever. She did not rush me, even though I know that she was very busy and had a full schedule. Never, with Mike, Dana Racker, or Jonanna, the girl who showed me the inside/outside of my car, did I ever feel like I was bothering them or hassling them in any way. They were all excited to answer my questions and help in any way that they could. I took a picture of my car and Mike because that's how great of an experience this was. Great guy! Typical car buying experience. Salesman was very helpful. Test drove the vehicle. Plenty of time to view inventory. Only area to improve on is when the finance person offers you a package of add on's costing the minimum of $1900. I told her "No thank you". and she said "are you sure?" "most people take this one at least" (The $1900 dollar one.) My "no" is no. I don't like being treated like a little child that doesn't know what they are talking about. I have purchased many new vehicles over the years and Toyota is the worst one for pushing these add ons. That pushiness I would warn others about if I recommend the dealership. Maybe she gets a commission from the add ons she sells. Anyway, if the customer says "No" then drop it. This is why I cannot give a 5-star rating.
