6:30 PM The tire light came on about two miles away from Toyota. I drive in Service and the checked the tires and found a nail, sent me to express and they fixed the tire in an expeditious manner. We were on our way by 7:10. I feel lucky to have good service.

Took in my Prius for the second time. Both times it hasn't been done at the quoted time. This time, I asked they look at a broken interior door panel. Pretty disappointing to be quoted $130 to "diagnose" a cheap plastic door panel that's barely out of warranty.

Worst car repair service ever!!! After engine repa...

Worst car repair service ever!!! After engine repair, they broke wiper. I noticed it during rain after leaving dealership. Not a big deal, one trip back to dealership and they fixed it.

UPDATE: a week later I found a large oil spot underneath my car which appeared that last week after Toyota Smart repaired my engine. Turned out it was a power steering fluid leak after they didn't secure some clamp. It was a second trip back after initial repair. Hopefully they didn't break anything else. I am completely done with Toyota smart service.

Cannot say anything bad about customer service or service reps - they are all nice and helpful. But their repair technicians or quality control or whatever it happens in the shop is just unacceptable.

We have purchased approximately 7 cars from Smart Motors and specifically Phil Awes. The experience never ceases to amaze me. Phil makes the car shopping experience incredibly stress free and efficient. My son and his fiancee were looking for a used RAV 4 and they live in Boston. After searching for a good car there and having trouble finding one that was not rusted, we contacted TJ Johnson (Smart Motors Used Car Manager). He immediately put us back in touch with Phil Awes and between the two of them, they located a perfect used RAV 4. They helped my son and his fiancee figure out the best way to title the car to make it easier to take back to Boston. They treated these young people with respect and kindness. Phil Awes, TJ Johnson and the whole team at Smart Motors are a wonderful testament to excellent customer service.

Watch out for the upsell in service, I was told that after checking things over my car needed a belt and wipers at an extra $188, but the good news is that my bill is $270 rather than $350, I said thank you that's great, but I'll have to get that done another time. I got a call 5 minutes later that my car was done also there was an error in quoting me the $270 earlier and that the service actually came out to be the estimated $350, which I should add was already $23 higher than the straight price quote. I'll never know the true story but if you hear something similar take this as a warning.

I stopped by with a quick Nav question as I live nearby. When the salesman saw the Jon Lancaster license plate holder, he commented "You've been over to the Evil Empire."

I started looking at Toyotas at Smart Motors several years ago, but went over to Lancaster for this very reason. They were always trash talking the competition. Lancaster has never done that, and we are now driving our third Toyota leased from them.

I'll never go there for any reason, even though they are much closer to my home.

I recently purchased a vehicle from Scott Nelson and Smart Motors. I had previously purchased two Toyota vehicles from Jon Lancaster. I had no idea that buying a new vehicle could be such a great experience.

Scott was honest, informative, knowledgeable, patient and happy to answer any questions that I had. Most of all, I felt I received a very fair deal.

It would have been much easier for me to purchase from the other Toyota dealer in town as it is much closer to where I live and work. However, Scott made the whole process so easy and enjoyable that I never considered purchasing anywhere but at Smart Toyota. Thank you Scott!

I don't write lots of reviews of businesses. Smart Motors earned this one. I had not been "new car shopping" for over a decade, and was not excited about entering that "lion's den" situation. I shopped three car brands (Ford, Chevrolet and Toyota) and Smart Motors convincingly won my business,

TJ asked me a lot of questions, and showed me several cars that might suit me. I chose the Corolla L with 6-speed manual transmission. This is not an expensive car, and even so the manufacturer and Smart Motors had incentives to help bring the price down. He is NOT your typical car-salesman type! He's smart, patient, and really knows his business!

Justin handled the paperwork quickly and painlessly. Joanna offered to show me how to sync my phone with the car's radio. And John drove my old car back to my home, as I drove the new one, and he switched my license plates. I didn't think I gave them enough "profit" to have all these people involved!

Smart Motors earned my business by being honest, by giving me a great deal, and by showing that service is their keystone. I recommend them highly! If you're shopping for a car, consider these people.

I intentionally went there, under my own assumption that since it was a dealership my needs would be met if not exceeded for a basic oil change, well to my dismay after leaving the establishment with the $68 oil change, I decided to stop for fuel, curiosity led me to check my fresh oil, only to discover I was short a quart !!, After returning to the establishment for the rest of my bought and paid for servicess, and an insincere apologie, I decided since the management would not answer or return my calls I would warn you, unhappy customer!!

To follow up, I was contacted the day after this post by the management, even though they admitted no fault they apologized, but it seemed insincere, but I would still return.

Outstanding experience! The customer service continues to exceed my expectations. Extremely professional service staff with an amazing waiting area. It has all the amenities to be comfortable and feel at home, from the good coffee to yummy cookies and fresh popcorn. A complimentary car wash is always included, which I love! Before leaving, they always go over all that they did to my car, and inform me of present conditions and potential future needs, which at this time are none. Love my Camry and the treatment I get at Smart Motors. Thank you staff.

Dan was our sales guy, he was extremely knowledgeable of the vehicles and the buying process as well as added accessories. He made the process fun and exciting!
Our finance guy, he was great! He had things well prepared so we could hurry and get out of there to enjoy the excitement of our new car! He also made the finance experience pleasant and relaxing. Smart Toyota is the greatest Toyota dealership around and we would recommend them to everyone! They have great service, friendly people, clean & spacious area and who wouldn t want free hot coco and cookies!! while you re waiting. Stuff happens! My 2012 RAV-4, became hesitant when moving from the reverse to drive positions. The diagnosis was to replace the transmission and torque converter added on would be the labor the costs, a price ticket exceeding $8,000.00! I cannot tell you how fortunate I am that my vehicle was leased and these costs were absorbed by Toyota. In addition, my request for a new vehicle was acknowledged. How fortunate I was that day to speak with Scott Nelson of the sales and marketing staff. I am now sporting a new red RAV-4, Gooo Badgers (and Smart Motors)!

I just bought my first real car with Austin and it was the best experience I had at a dealership. Austin was so knowledgeable, patient, and personable. He made me feel like it was my choice vs trying to force me to buy a car. He was extremely kind and was very patient and understanding. Yes, I am in love with my new car but Austin definitely was a deciding factor in purchasing my car. Pretty good service; however, when they ordered my part and set up and appointment for me, but we had to reschedule because they ordered the wrong part. I understand it happens but when I get pulled over and get a warning on a ticket because my tail light is out, it sucks...especially when it wasn't my fault due to the appointment being rescheduled.

I made my Prius 4 and options search online, 07:30 on Saturday morning. It wasn't long (9:30) and JD Harwell from Smart Motors called me. We had three phone contacts, two texts and a couple of emails, total. His last text to me was three hours before our appointed time to see if my wife and I might be ready, and if could we come in before the 4:00 pm time scheduled. JD already had the financing approved and the Prius gassed up and polished, ready for the close when he texted me. We walked in at 2 pm and out at 5 pm, and that included the test drive and trade evaluation (which we were happy with.) By far the most hard working and pleasant salesman, as well as the easiest car I have ever purchased. And, I sold cars for a living a few years back. The Smart Motors vehicle orientation process was also quite thorough and easily understandable, yet not long at all. NICE JOB!!!

I have continually had an excellent experience with Smart Motors Odana Road and after today's experience I wanted to write a review. My rear door was unable to shut due to the cold and some pieces falling off in the door. It was really cold last night and I was unable to spend the time fiddling with the door during desperate winds. I took it in today, expecting that I might need a new hinge replaced. They quickly set up a same morning appointment, fixed the hinge problem and didn't charge me because it only needed fiddling and lubrication. I also found out that I had been paying twice as much for an oil change at a competitor. I find they have been honest over the last two years of my several different services that I have had there and I would definitely recommend them.

Mike (Sales) spent an inordinate amount of time (to me) finding me a vehicle that met my requirements, both esthetically and within my budget. He was focused on/committed to seeing that I was happy with my purchase. He certainly succeeded!!
This is the third vehicle my family has purchased from Smart Motors Toyota. I truly expect we will be back, and I have no hesitation in recommending them. Great people! Great product! Great experience!
(By the way, my family considers me VERY picky!)

Sales and finance teams work hard to earn your business, then service doesn't quite follow through.

Took my 2008 Highlander (my 14th Toyota by the way) into the dealership to diagnose noises in the brakes and an XM/Sirius Satellite radio issue where I constantly loose signal in wide open areas in and around Madison.

Techs worked on my car for less than an hour and billed me $190.00 for labor to tell me that the brake pads weren't OEM Toyota (but brand new and I should still use them, then replace with factory pads once worn) and that the XM Radio is functioning properly, but admittedly a "less than stellar design in the rear side window by Toyota." No repairs were made and I was called before 8am with an overview. Labor for this diagnosis was $190.00. Cashier was very friendly and got a manager for me after charging my credit card. That manager, Peter talked with me for a few minutes and said he'd follow up. I waited a week with no call back. Finally called back and left a voicemail for Service Manager. That person didn't call back; but two days later (now 9 days after my visit) Peter called me to share they weren't able to adjust the charges.

I have owned over 50 vehicles, and purchased several of them from Smart Motors. After speaking with my sales consultant, they have agreed to adjust my bill and credited me half of the service bill back.

In the end I am happy with the resolution, however would have been much more satisfied if this had been resolved a week prior. In then end, I feel this was a reasonable outcome for us both.

My lease was up on my car and I went in to see if they'd finance the rest of what was owed on the vehicle. Sadly they said no due to my poor credit score. It was expected honestly. However they did direct me to Smart finance and they were able to help me get into a different car. It's a good car too. Some very minor cosmetic issues, but nothing to really complain or worry about. They even gave me advice on how to raise my score. How to refinance and when. My only issue is how fast the first sales guy blew me off as soon as he knew about my credit score. He did direct me somewhere else which I'm greatful for, but the way he treated me was like I wasn't worth the time.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say the vast majority of us HATE car shopping. I worked in car sales long enough to see it from both sides, and I still hate it. So I was pleasantly surprised to find that Smart Motors doesn't engage in the shenanigans that other car places do. I did the bulk of my deal via their website and a couple of emails with a sales rep, only having to go in when my vehicle and paperwork was ready to go. The follow up was fine, and the service department is great.

I worked with Rodney Potter on recommendation from a friend. Rodney was kind, straightforward, honest, and forthcoming, not often things that you find in car sales. I came in knowing what I wanted in a vehicle, and I had done some research. He was able to beat my other, better price on a very similar vehicle from a different dealership, and he was also able to give us discounts on some of the extras that we were looking at.
