After hearing of this place from an ad, I decided to check it out. The place is convenient to get to as its by the main strip of shops in the Port Jefferson Village. The menu has a decent amount of options and offers orders tailored to your diet (I.e includes vegetarian/vegan). I decided to order the ramen with ginger, green onions, pork, an egg and noodles and it was great! You get what you pay for here. Staff are easy going and friendly as well. I would go again and try the other things.

Great ramen!! Most-visit gem in Port Jeff!! But if you're coming in during main lunch or dinner rushes... it might be a bit harder to find a seat so prepare. Would still recommend getting it to go!!

Love the food, love the room, love the service and they have very reasonable prices.
I have three (almost) grown kids and this is one of the very few places everybody always wants to go to. Huge plus for us.

The restaurant wait for a table is pretth quick considering the amount of people that are in there when the restaurant is busy. I was told that my group of friends had to wait 20 to 30 minutes for a table but it was only a 10 minute wait. The restaurant staff are so nice and hardworking. The pricing of the food may seem expensive at first but when you receive the food and taste it, the quantity and quality of the food will be totally worth the price. Another thing to praise the restaurant on is how quick you get your food after ordering. Even when the restaurant was extremely busy, the wait to the food to come to one's table was at most 5 minutes which is incredible. I would definitely recommend this place to any one who wants to experience good food with a group of friends, at a reasonable price. #chicken #japanese #fried #slurp #ramen #portjeff #food

A friend of mine is a higher up in the kitchen and told me about this place. Now, every time I visit Long Island, I make it a stop of mine. Wonderful food, and the staff is super friendly. I would recommend this place to anyone. Great job guys, and I hope to visit your shop again.

The food is very delicious, I cannot imagine a better winter meal than this one. It tastes very fresh and they have a good variety of options including a vegetarian/vegan option. It isn't very spicy but they have hot says and red pepper to improve the spice. The service is great too and the food arrived very quickly

Went there for lunch. The broth is on the salty side, but the noodles have a nice taste and texture to them. Could use a little more vegetables with the Ramen and broth. If you finish all your noodles and have extra broth, you can order extra noodles for $2 more. The pork bun was okay.

Friendly service, fast food...hits the spot every time! So good! I don't go there as often as I would like to but the friendly cashier remembered my special order from the last time I was there! Incredible..

As an Asian American, I have tried this place a few times, but been disappointed with the combination of flavors and quality. There are so many better authentic Ramen shops in the Stony Brook area.

Great little ramen place. Food is awesome and filling. Would recommend the rice bowls over the ramen and throw in a pork bun. Prices are pretty good, could be better. Not a fan of the awkward parking lot. Definitely worth a visit.

Okay, this place hits harder than All Might. Got me feeling like Rengoku cause the food was "UMAI! UMAI! UMAI!" they gotta have jesus in the back slappin down them DANK noods in the back. 9/6 would recommend the Classic Ramen Bowl and Pork Buns.

I loved this place when it first opened. I brought my family today and had a very different experience. 2 of us are vegan and what's listed on the menu as vegan and what I was given are 2 different things. I know this to be true as I am allergic to dairy and after explicitly instructing no dairy.... I'm home violently ill. I'll also say that for $11 for a broth and noodles (no veggies, no meat) the portion of noodles was so miniscule. I'm disappointed. Both in the portion for price as well as the fact that the staff could NOT explain what on the menu was vegan and could not tell me what the broth was made of. Add to that the rudeness of one of the staff members... Doesn't make for the best dining experience.

The staff here is super friendly and the food is great. I personally love the kara-age rice bowl, but the ramen is also delicious. Even when they are busy the food is ready pretty fast and never falters in quality.

I've been going here since it has opened and it's amazing. The food comes out quick and is always delicious.

I love the rice bowls and different ramen broths; and they even have a secret menu item or two for us OG customers.

There are a few things though that give it a 4 rather than a 5.

The first being they have zero gluten free options. Wheather or not it's traditional to offer rice noodles, it would be a great addition to the menu for people who can't eat wheat; because of this, I have to put rice in the broth or just opt for the rice bowl all together.

The other thing is the prices. Now it's understandable given it's prime location in Port Jeff. I imagine the rent / taxes on the business being high but you get much more food at other ramen places for around the same price or less.

Again, I love this place and it's literally a 4 minute walk from my house. I'll go here as long as they are there, and I hope they open up more locations!

This is normally my go to ramen place however the last several times I've ordered to go there's always been something wrong. My latest purchase they put in a meat bowl rather than the Hawaiian bowl we ordered, and forgot to include the several drinks we purchased.
If you're dining in it's fine, but if you're ordering to pick up you have to check before you leave that they didn't forget anything, or mess up an order. For the price they charge I wouldn't think it'd be as difficult as it is to get what you ordered.

I promised I would review, so here it is! I thoroughly enjoy the food at Slurp. It is absolutely fantastic, and definitely hits the spot when I have a ramen craving. As such, I think it would be more accurate to say that my rating is 4.5/5.
Let me start with the positives -- absolutely delicious flavors, and I've noticed over years that their menu has been getting larger. I visited the shop three days after they first opened, and had only 4 ramen options, along with some rice bowls. Nowadays, I notice they have seasonal specials, which is awesome. Staff is super friendly, and polite, and go out of their way to make you feel welcome.
Now for the downsides, which often times I just overlook, because they're relatively minor in my opinion -- the space is rather limited within the restaurant, especially during rush hour. The only other downside for me personally is the portion size. It's a bit small for ramen, but I will wholly admit I've been spoiled, as I grew up in NYC, and got used to Flushing portions. Overall, though, I love this place, and will continue to return!

Delicious food. I recommend the pork-belly rice bowl. You place your order at the counter, and they give you a number sign to display at your table, and then they bring your food when it's ready. If you order ahead for pickup or plan on dining in, parking can be tough, especially when Port Jeff is busy. There is a small parking lot right outside, but it is almost always full, so you might have to park on the street somewhere nearby. Also, when they give you your change or give you back your credit/debit card, they always hold it with both hands for whatever reason.

The food was amazing, as well as the service. I once left with a take out order and forgot the broth. Well, when I went back in there to retrieve my broth, the waitress had it waiting for me and offered a drink for the inconvenience. This place is amazing and the food and service keep me cooking at least once a week.

The place on Long Island for ramen. They have special ramens on occasion like a Pokemon themed one or a tomato ramen. If you go for the specials or just go for the regular type, you'll always leave here with a full stomach. Service is always lightning quick. Space is a bit small, but seats everyone well.

The service is excellent. We came on a Sunday night in the middle of the dinner rush when there were literally people coming out of the restaurant and we still got our food within 5-10 minutes. Additionally, the food is really good. I got the curry ramen bowl and was really surprised how much flavor and just how much food they gave you for the price. Everything here is reasonably priced. You'll most likely leave very full. The only thing to consider is that the place is small meaning if you want to bring a larger group you'll either want to wait until when a lot of people aren't there or be ready to have to wait.

Love slurp ramen!! If you're looking for ramen out in long island, there isn't a massive selection, but luckily you won't need it! Slurp's got you covered! I recommend the slurp vegan, even if you aren't vegan, that broth cant be beat! If you're sensitive to more powerful Asian flavors, ask for no red ginger :^) and you can sub it for something else! Overall a great place with great staff - though finding a seat during the busier hours can be tough! If you have to take it to go, be sure to reheat the broth before combining the ingredients - do that, and it's just as good as getting it fresh in the restaurant! :^)

First time here was a very pleasant experience. Staff were friendly and polite. Service was great. Food came out really fast, within 3 minutes after ordering. And most importantly, it was delicious! Ramen, rice bowls, and buns! Definitely going back.

Worth the drive out there! Each and Everytime! my first and favorite ramen spot ! Finally convinced my friend who is afraid to try new food to try it and he loved it! And he is picky! So glad with the fast and accurate service! Pork buns with spicy ramen is my favs!

Due to Covid, I only stopped in here briefly and got a chicken bun and a pork belly bun to eat outside. They were both very tasty and without a doubt I would get them again. Not too spicy with a pleasant sweetness that didn't go overboard. The bun was fluffy with just the right amount of chew.

I look forward to adding to this review when I come back for the ramen (which my boyfriend has been raving about for me to try! Lol).

This was my first time trying ramen and I thought it was delicious! The broth and noodles were very tasty.

I got one that had fried chicken in it, which was kinda weird and didn t really seem to work that well with everything else in the bowl.

Still enjoyed my meal and will definitely be back for more next time I find myself in Port Jeff.

As I read these previous reviews I feel they are fake. All I can say is my wife and I were far from impressed. After we each had noodle bowls and pork buns. We left still hungry because there was very little noodles in the bowls. 35 dollars and still hungry? Something is wrong here. Taste was ok

Great little place in Port Jefferson, one of my favorite restaurants now. Been going there since they opened. Love the Hawaiian BBQ bowl and they have kids bowls as well. Very well organized, super polite and fast.

I go to a lot of Ramen places around New York and am really picky about my ramen because I do so. Slurp is one of my favorite ramen places: it's cheap, the serving size is good, has unique takes on ramen, and the more traditional ramen is just a notch below places that focus specifically on classic ramen. I love the curry ramen here; It's the best curry ramen I've ever had. Also, the rice bowls are really good. Every dish here is good which is really rare for a ramen place; especially one that has a more unique take on asian dishes.

Whenever I am down port, I make it part of my to-do list and stop by Slurp Ramen. I love it here. Every now and then the owner is there too cooking in the back. He's come out just to see how everyone was enjoying the food. Super sweet.

Delicious!!! First time here and I was skeptical until I showed up and found the place packed! Then I knew it was going to be good! Even with it being really busy, I placed a to go order and was in and out in less than 10 mins. Probably even less than that. The noodles we're amazing and delicious! They give you take out with the broth separate.. so when you arrive at your destination, you can add the broth and let the noodles finish cooking so they aren't soggy by the time you get to enjoy them. I came back for seconds! Would love to try at least one of every item!

Best Ramen I have ever had, period. The food is authentic, delicious, and well priced. I work in the village and am so glad to have Slurp around the corner. I have eaten a variety of dishes all of which were excellent. There is plenty of seating inside and the place is clean. The service is surprisingly fast and pleasant, which is refreshing! Do yourself a favor and stop in if you haven't already, and if you have, you don't need me to tell you since you're probably planning your next trip in!

I don't know why I waited so long to eat here. My wife and I would always toss the name around when we were wondering what to eat, but it took us so long to finally eat here. Everything I've gotten has been phenomenal. If you've been on-the-fence, do yourself a favor and try it out. (I personally like the rice bowls over the Ramen)

What a great place, we need more of these in Suffolk. We had the classic ramen bowl, the fried chicken rice bowl and a pork steam bun that didn t make it in the photo, all was delicious. Staff was welcoming and efficient, place was packed but the line moved fast, definitely worth checking it out

OMG a Hidden treasure!!! Food was so amazing! I ordered the Slurp Spicy and my boyfriend the Slurp Classic!!! Both 100% recommended, you can even mix them both! The only sad part is that I couldn t stay longer in Long Island so I could go there more to eat.

Ramen in this place is deliiiicious!!
I see people saying best Ramen on Long Island. I'll add this, I have never been to Japan to say anything at that level but I've tried a few places in the city and this is definitively one of the best Ramen places in New York state. If you're looking for good Ramen and you're thinking you'll need to go to the city let me tell you, start here, and then compare. Few places serve ramen as good as this
