Nice that there is a priority arrangement for if you live far away but if you still have to come to hospital, is not selected and then vw the travel time in the evening with public transport is no longer at home.

1 star, and they still get it because the rents are reasonable. But their communication with each other in the organization and the way they deal with victims ... Terrible! Do not have a delivery inspection, so the previous tenant delivered the room horribly, I have to go everywhere myself and they are very difficult about fees. When in doubt, please don't rent from Duwo but elsewhere, you will be better off.

Without any correspondence, suddenly take out a subscription with Ziggo and charge it. In protest they say: "you should have objected". Well, with this one. Ultimately proved right and wrongly billed amounts returned, but remains strange.

They also suddenly transfer my contract for cooking gas to another supplier (without consultation) and terminate it suddenly after 10 months. Then I suddenly ran out of gas and only then found out that I had been transferred to another supplier. After contacting Duwo they said that indeed should not have happened ...

Now gas again with my old supplier, but I want to cancel that contract because Duwo has forced me to leave my home. However, contract is for three years and therefore I now have to pay a fine. Duwo, I'll send you a Tikkie.

Terrible. We have no hot water since Saturday and their "24 hour line" for non urgent repairs is open from 8:30 am to 12 noon on weekdays. None of the other phone numbers picks up, not even those for calamities (!) Their link to submit a complaint on their website will send you to the page to change your password (?!). Introducing your own tenant they are totally inconspicuous if for some reason you (also due to their own mistakes in communication) 1 day about the deadline. I also had to have my key unlocked three times because he did not do it again and again. The construction of the room ensures that the high sleeper becomes unbearably hot in the summer with no air conditioning to cool down. Not very chill DUWO.

They are money wolves. Mega unreasonable they don't even call back normally. Flats are incredibly filthy and you can't even do your laundry normally. They only think of their own wallet. Hope I can live somewhere soon.

Dont come, seriously. I spent only one month is Kloosterpoort and it was awful. The studios are small, dirty and with everything broken. The halls smells like garbage. Internet doesnt work and every week there is something that brokes (this week was the laundry), it is very expensive, you can find better things than this.
Also, forget to call them, the call line is a disaster, prepare yourself for listening minutes and minutes of prerecordings.

Find another place to live.

Extremely expensive, exploitative of international students who are insecure about finding housing. Paid all the agency fees and contract fees etc. just to get a room for 375 euros for 10 m2 in a moldy, dirty, bug infested house shared by 25 other students with one kitchen, located far from the city center (in Oegstgeest). And I had one of the cheaper rooms in this house. Despite having all student housing ready to be filled up every year, they charge you a 'finding fee' of several hundred euros. When I moved out only 1 month later, they claimed I had not paid any deposit (of 500 euros...) and did not want to give it back. I was only able to get it back due to having saved the original receipt from my money transfer at their office. It took countless of emails and calls to get my money back, all while trying to cope with life as a University student in a foreign country and having to move around to a new place. It was an extremely stressful experience. They are a "university sponsored" business that really scams students, because they charge you insane amounts for very poor service. I do not know why they have not been shut down or regulated by now.

Really bad, the city is having a problem with lack of student houses, and the university just keep bringing more international students without really taking in consideration any of their basic needs. As a result students get desperate and are easily targets of internet scans, leading them to loose money and time, making the situation even worst.
As a last resource they try appealing to the housing office from the university or DUWO, and are confronted with the offices saying that they can't do absolutely nothing apart from offering extremely overpriced flats that are most probably already taken and that may or may not become available in six months.
DUWO has the site named Room, which offers a few apartment complexes around the area meant for students, but it takes at least 2 years to get a flat through it, which is just even more ridiculous given that most of bachelor's are only 3 years.
Everything regarding this is poorly thought, and they have absolutely no respect for the students that come from far away willing to pay an exorbitant price to study in their country.
Simply an absurd, I'm by all means disappointed and I hope they work more on their accomodations and offers.
In a nutshell, I would like to say that this is extremely unacceptable and disrespectful.

We had water leaking from one of the lights on the ceiling for days before someone agreed to come and repair it by leaving a hole in the ceiling for the following 2 weeks. Recently, one of the pipes in our kitchen started leaking and flooding the kitchen, leaving a nasty smell similar to sewage. Upon calling the emergency number, duwo responded with stating that this is not an emergency and that we should call the following day. A worker came in the next day and did absolutely nothing, apart from saying that we (24 students) cannot use the kitchen sink, washing machine or showers.

Customer service is beyond awful and students are never taken seriously. Requests are never responded to.
Absolutely do not recommend anyone renting a place to stay from Duwo.

Contrary to other people's opinion, to me, DUWO is quite responsive in handling questions and complains. Their office is strategically located at Rapenburg, very close to Leiden University.
