Clean room. 500m. From Shin-Okubo station near Korea food place
Located in Shinjuku, at an affordable price, suitable for bacpakers, close to the train station and in the korean vilage area
Nice room clean toilet and shower outside ideal for young people
Really nice place to stay in. The "shared bath and restroom" scared us when we booked the place but it turn out nice. Even the place seems well kept. Reason for not being 5 star?
1. The area is the red district so kinda shaddy going back late at night.
2. No elevator. Hard when you carry large luggages, theres a small staircase.
That's it. Other than that it's a organized stay-in place for a night or two. As a comparison, we had the same price, same description on downtown asukasa- and that was worse than this. They also have but k beds, good for groups. And beds are better than most.
FYI morning breakfast is self serve, waffles and some "Americanized" comfort inn like breakfast.
Clean and cheap, the guests are mostly Asians, the sound is not very good, look lucky.
Don t pick too much for the price of staying in Shinjuku. It is convenient to eat and drink nearby.
Located in koreantown, 2 bedrooms, 1 toilet, 1 bathroom.
Good clean accomodation that's a little rough around the edges but for the price and location it's good.
The hotel was okay and the hotel has a water purifier.
Temperature is okay
Friendly foreign hotel managers at night
The owner is welcoming, reasonably priced and well equipped.
There is no elevator, the counter is on the 2nd floor, and the luggage is on the first floor of the ground floor. I hope there is a clear notice.
There is no elevator and you have to carry your bags barefoot. Dirty facilities even after cleaning. You hear all the noise from the guests. The best is the location.
Good place to stay. Tokyo subway is very nearby. Also close to shinjuku shopping area. Only the bad part about this place is that it does not provide any towels. You need to have your towel. Also the staff was not that friedly. However for a cheap stay i would recommend it.
Hostel located near Shinjuku, a bit dirty compared to other hostel we could do in Japan. The common living space is poorly maintained. Fortunately our double room was nice. Breakfast included, egg and bread jam coffee.
For the price and location few can beat it. Right in the center of Tokyo and close enough to main train station. Rooms were small but comfortable. Some noisy people when we were there but not too bad. Lost a star because no lift available so you have to carry your luggage up quite a few stairs
The place is near from everywhere ... the service is pretty good
Great location, very close to Shin-Okubo station and 10 minute walk to Shinjuku station. Very clean dormitory, toilet and shower and at a very reasonable price.
I stayed here for the first time and it was so comfortable that I wanted to live here!
First of all, on the first floor of the facility, cafes and restaurants managed by the same owner are open until late at night, and there are also 24-hour shops, donki, and convenience stores nearby, so you can think of anything and get it right away. You can put it in. Also, it is very easy to access if you want to visit the cafes in Shin-Okubo, eat around, or shop! It's a little far from the station, but for those who want to enjoy Shin-Okubo, the road to the station is fun and too soon.
This time I rented a single room instead of a dormitory, but the beds were large, fluffy and comfortable. I don't have to interact with people or get tired (of course I can do it in a shared space if I want to talk to people), it's a 5 star for me, but there was no table in the room other than the refrigerator, and in the shared space I can hear the voice and the music of the cafe on the lower floor well, so I thought that it might be a negative factor for those who are interested in that area, so I gave it a star 4> <After all, there are many foreign guests I'm sure. But the front desk staff can speak Japanese, and the cleaning staff can hardly speak Japanese, but they are kind ^^
I definitely want to come back to stay! !!
Good location, provides a small breakfast, English speaking staff, would stay again
We originally had booked a shared dorm, it was noisy and smelt funky. All previous hostels had curtains for the bunks, these rooms had little privacy and relied on the diligence of room mates to lock the door behind them to secure your items. We paid to get upgraded to the private shared bed which was much better and didn't smell weird. It also had a small area to sit next to the window. The showers weren't that particularly clean. For the price there are nicer hostels nearby if you need to share rooms. A previous comments mentioned hustlers on the streets, that's the red light district near the robot show, just stay smart and keep to yourself and people will leave you alone.
If you are running out of money, don't spend it on such a place
Good location, accessible from 2 stations, Higashi-Shinjuku and Shin-Okubo, large bed, this is recommended considering the price. I thought there was plenty of room for sleeping and washing if I didn't even need private. There is a convenience store and Don Quixote nearby so you can buy anything here.
There is a common shower well done, a shampoo rinse mixed with a bath, a toilet, a bidet, and a nice staff. The staff is friendly and the Don Quixote is not far away. The only thing I do not like is that it's not soundproofing. Everything was fine except
Very nice hotel. Felt like a hostel, had communal restrooms but was very clean and had friendly guests. Good for young travelers.
Horrible place. Not pictures advertised on site. Rooms smelling of sewer. Roaches outside the room. Dirty toilets. Linens in the room were dirty, stained and used. Staff attitude of 'we can't do anything'. They offered to shift us to a better room for extra payment, but we declined as the newer property had very low ceilings and could not stand without hitting our head and we only had one more day. Bad ending to a great holiday. Avoid at all costs.
Stayed in House 2. Terrible sewerage smell, had to run toilet and bathroom fans 24/7.
Rooms are clean, around 9 minutes walk from the closest station. Also very close to shinjuku which is a big station.
In the very center of Shinjuku, between narrow streets and large streets, nice guest house. Old-fashioned rooms to be modernized.
I bought 23,000 won a day for a cheap reservation for Shinjuku, the largest shopping street in Agoda, so it was good to eat and watch in Shinjuku until late. What's more, it's nice to have a 24-hour check-in and the door is open.
But around 5-6 pm, I think I'm a Korean male and female Alba student... but I only handed a ballpoint pen without giving a first greeting... It seems like they responded bluntly... And they didn't even say that they would provide breakfast... I think Albasaeng was kind. There was only one shower room in the bathroom, but...we came in late and went out early so we could shower without overlapping...it can be a little cold because it is operated by a heater rather than a floor heating. The cleanliness was pretty good... I have to keep my career bag outside, but I can remove the important small luggage and put it in a locker for a deposit of 1,000 yen... I booked it cheaply for the most busy street and served toast for breakfast... It seems to be tied well while looking around.
When I looked for accommodations like this in Shinjuku, where the land is expensive, there were few... And because it was operated by Koreans, I booked it here.
Well located, clean and comfortable place. Negative point are the amount of stairs to get on the top floor.
The right combination of hotel and hostel. Has all the amenities you need to enjoy your trip, without the big price tag of Tokyo. Excellent location, and very friendly staff. Will recommend to others!
Is quiet, clean and affordable. More to that, it has a great location. Great staff members....
They spoke okay English, and give you a very short tour of the place on arivial. But the place is clean and the rooms are clean and the location in Shinjuku is very good close to the shin-okubu station. For the price it's a an okay place
Great place to stay. Mixture of families and typical hostel folks. Short walk to Kabuchiko or deeper into Obuko. Staff friendly and great help.
Great room. Location is meh, surrounded by overpriced Korean food imo.
Gave us wrong address for checking in, but front desk was nice
I stayed for 2 nights in an annex, but I am not satisfied with it. We also had a simple breakfast, but we could not eat it.
Do not come looking for photos. The accommodation is clean and nice, but it's not the place I knew about.
A good place for backpackers. Surrounded by Korean restaurants.
There is good location. Cheap and clean. Can stay here.
Cheap & generally the people are nice. I question just how clean it is, but its not too bad & for the price it really isnt much of an issue.
It's in a great spot a short walk from the robot resturaunt and samurai mueseum which is worth a look.
Comfortable rooms with private bathroom and good service.
The ground floor, common area this hostel is tidy and clean, but kinda awful for the washing laundry area. A sad thing for this hostel is that the floor is quite small (or maybe the room isn't separated decently) that I had to carry my luggage from ground floor to 2nd or 3rd floor, and the stair between each floor is so long. Carrying my big-S luggage from the entrance to my dorm exhaust me (I skipped leg day).
And finally the key point of making my experience in this hostel terrible, is the other guests in this place. Most of them are so quiet in the common area pressing their smartphone, but they are like talking as loud as possible in their private room, or even in the dorm at night.
The English level of the owner is OK, and he is really helpful on giving travelling advice, but I sincerely hope he would instruct the guests better for their manner, as they are really destroying me and other peaceful guests' experience
Highly recommended! Facilities are very clean and the location is just perfect, particularly if you're visiting Tokyo for the first time. Staff is friendly and helpful.
I stayed in a private room for 7 nights. My bed was comfortable & the whole place was quiet during night. I felt I had a lot of privacy. I certainly would stay here again!
---
I recommend it 100%! It is very clean and the location is perfect, especially if this is your first time visiting Tokyo. The people of the place are very friendly and help you with everything.
I stayed in a private room for 7 nights. My bed was very comfortable and the hostel was very quiet at night. It felt very private. I would definitely stay here again!
Very cool, I slept everyone together. "
The room I stayed in was kind of Japanese
Only nw sleep with a person who snores you can sleep
Nice enough hostel and pretty cheap for Tokyo. Location is good. About 10 minutes walk from the subway.
It was used in December 2018. It was unbelievably low price though it was a good location of 10 minutes on foot from Shinjuku Station. The room I stayed was a room with 4 bunk beds. Except for me, I was only foreigner. The shower is beautiful. Breakfast free. The staff pandy is very kind. Travelers who do not resist the guest house are here.
My room had four bunk beds. Roommates are foreigners and Japanese is only me. Also a shower rooms is clean, breakfast is I I heres Dec. 2018. Here is a ten minutes walk from Shinjyuku st., But the price is extremely low. free and a staff, Pandy, is so friendly. Tourists who don't he sitate guest house should stay here, I suggest.
Cheap and very good hostel. They even got 2 USB charge points attached to each bed.
It's nice without more, the rooms are not too soundproof so we hear what people in the rooms close. There is some cockroach but very little (2 in two weeks) otherwise all is clean (it depends on other guests of course) the staff is polite and helpful, there are washing machines and a drying rack. The breakfast is a little light and the coffee is blah. Rather close to some stations of jr and subways, and to side of the Korean quarter and shinjuku.
Solid hostel in a good location. Small and quiet, but clean with all the basic amenities. Lockers are too small for most backpacks and cost an extra fee. Also layout of the hostel required climbing up and down stairs to get to the various rooms.
Pricey, but normal for Tokyo. Nice, comfortable place. Clean too.
Decent cleen, quiet rooms, but no locks on the male dorms (female ones have locks). Lockers are available and has a communal space unlike some.
It's generally pretty clean. Staff are competent. Downstairs lobby toilets really smell. It has a mix of dormitory rooms and private rooms. Nice Japanese decorations and style.
It is located in Shin-Okubo Station with the best facilities for a cheap guest house, so traffic is convenient.
Good points :
- Offers a smartphone for free for the duration of the
booking
- Rather well placed
- Quite comfortable bed and cushions
Negative points :
- Very old buildings
- Expensive
- Mold in showers
- No room cleaning
- Everything is invoiced (new towel, razors ..)
- Napkins the size of a tea towel
- Air conditioning which leaks abundantly above a computer
(1st floor)
- No elevator, so complicated for fat people
suitcases
- Cockroaches
- The walls are very thin so easy to hear anyone
what noise from adjacent rooms like the kids
running down the hall at 8 a.m.
- "Breakfast" composed of 2 slices of sandwich bread and 1
egg
And I still have to forget negative points.
2 star level..however very clean and the service is decent...gets a bit noisey as some people are inconsiderate and noisey..however its a get what you pay for place...fairly cheap, easy going and cheerful.
It is near Shinjuku City here and I will stay here.
Good location, not too expensive, rooms were nice enough and in decent shape.
If you never want to sleep and listen to your neighbors all night then stay here. There are no rules about quiet hours and people making a huge racket at all hours. The worst. And then people get up at the wee hours and start stomping around. So if you just want to be miserable sleeping come here for sure. It's also a real tourist trap. They charge you for everything. If you want a clean towel... They charge you for it.
I went to Tokyo for four days last year. Although the staff is a bit embarrassed, and it is Korean, if English is not good enough, communication will be a bit problematic, others are very good.
Amazing experience and awesome people to meet. It's a communal type place. Shared bathroom and showers. But the rooms are fairly decent sized and it's nice and cozy in the hotel. They have discounts for robot restaurant and it's a great experience. Will definitely come back when i chime to Japan. It's walking distance from Shibuya. Literally 6-10 min
Ordinary place, the room was clean, but the overall bias of the old, but by the location is very good, the price is too cheap, if not too high demands can also place also.
Affordable, but the shower room is a bit small, there is a family room for six people, suitable for the whole family, there are many shops nearby, and the living facilities are convenient~
Do NOT believe the photos or description of this hotel on other websites. They have 4 different properties all of which are MUCH nicer than this one. I truly believe this is a deliberate scam as two other guests I met had the same complaint of feeling tricked by photos on Hotels/Booking/Agoda. Managment is incredibly unsympathetic even as a female traveler who didn t feel safe. I wish I had read other reviews instead of trusting just stars as I have now seen many of the same complaints in addition to bedbugs, cockroaches, and zero noise control.
I wouldn t put my worst enemy in this awful place.
If you know here, it's expensive. Knowing that the Koreans are masters yiraseo
Nice place, they are very kind and helpful. The neighborhood is nice, mainly Korean.
Free breakfast
Very good WIFI
Friendly staffs, boys only...
Good bed
Negative:
No elevator
No towels, you need to pay extra
Floors in the room are sometimes dusty
I think Cospa is good. Not recommended for nervous people.
For Tokyo the price per night is (very) good and the staff is friendly and helpful. However, the place lags behind in terms of hygiene (especially compared to the rest of Japan). The toilets are not really clean (shower is OK) and cockroaches flit through the communal kitchen.
