Good food, just caught it on a busy morning so they were about out of everything. Not a large scale restaurant by any means.

Best rubarb strawberry pie I ever had. And the chicken pot pie is to die for. Going for more pie and pot pie this april
The only reason I didn't give a 5 star is the small selection of pies.
I went onto their website and it showed approx 15 different flavors.
We get there and there's only 4 available.
The website should indicate to call for current selection.
However, we were able to special order another pie to pick up the next day!
Quaint little shop with very friendly service.
WOW, I'm surprised the other reviewer had negative issues. My wife and I stopped there today and had lunch and took home an apple pie, Lunch, my wife had the pastrami. She absolutely loved it. 5 stars for the pastrami. I had the chicken pot pie. Excellent pie with nice chunks of chicken. I'd go with a 4.5 rating. Cleanliness and quaintness....5 stars no doubt. Freddy and Diane were the nicest people and we really enjoyed talking to them...again, 5 stars. The pie. Well, we ended up with nothing to cook at home and so, we had PIE, for dinner!. This apple pie was the best I've had. It was perfect. My wife also loved it and spoke very highly of the crust. Understand, this pie had no preservatives and other junk added so, the crust was flakey, not a rubbery texture. I'm a city boy and believe me, I enjoy a Sara Lee. But, this pie made me a believer of "home made."
Without a doubt the BEST strawberry-rhubarb pie I have ever tasted!
Feel at home, BEST french toast you will ever have!!
Very friendly service. Beautiful setting under enormous Willow tree. Tasty chicken pot pie! Call ahead to order pie to take home.
One of those jewels you don't want to miss. Pies are outstanding. Freddie and Diane t h e owners are such wam and welcoming people. We will be back a number of times.
My family and I were so excited to try their cinnamon rolls that were featured on t.v. I called a day ahead to order a cinnamon roll and left a message in the morning the next day, letting the staff know we were coming to get it! However, after our 35 minute drive to this cafe, we were told that they no longer had any. The owner was unapologetic and did not seem to care. We were not offered anything in its replacement. We will not be going back.
For many eateries in the White Mountains, the customer is welcomed by exorbitant prices for pre-fab food, glaring down at them from the racks and shelves. You feel an overwhelming sense of guilt just being inside. You need not have any worry about that here.
The prices are fantastic. Many a Valley dweller, strapped for cash enough already by the admission price for a cabin or campground can easily afford not only a slice or two, but an entire pie. I'm from Tucson, and our local Claim Jumper infamously sells a Cream Cheese pie for, yes, $60. Imagine my surprise to see a rare, hard to find variety of pie like the Graham Cracker Cream going for $15!
I was staying with my Dad in a nearby mountain hamlet to see the Fall colors, a lifelong dream of ours. We stopped in when we ate at Aunt Nancy's next door, and took a menu. I found the Graham pie and was dismayed to see we would be back home in the South when they next opened. Here the owners of American Pie Company surprised me with their generosity and inventiveness. They agreed to make it, and deliver it to me the day before they opened for the week, by giving it to a little Health shop across the road. They had never met me before, but I promised to be by at the specified time, and was very happy that the pie, which had been expertly chilled (It survived, unscathed, an 8 hour car trip South) waiting for me.
The Pie, I'm afraid, survived for only two days once I got it home. Delicious, and usually found only in diners on the East Coast, it was a wonderful taste of my parents' homes back East. I will not forget their service and that they went to great lengths to get a total stranger a pie. Thank you!
This little pie shop is excellent. Definitely worth the drive from Heber. There is a hundred year old willow tree in the front that is great to sit under and eat homemade pie with homemade ice cream. The owners are very nice and happy to talk about the pie shop and the area. We will definitely be going back whenever we are in the area.
Can any pie really be bad? Yes. Unimpressed with this place but it endures.
I was unimpressed with the chicken pot pie, it was bland, had a thin layer of crust on top, and a very small portions for the price. One of the employees made my husband, and I feel very uncomfortable as she glared at us and was very unfriendly. The dinning area outside was very pretty to eat at, but we are not planning on going back.
If you come to Show Low this is a definite must visit! Great service and food. They open at 7 on the weekends and sell out fast, so pre-order or get there early.
First time to eat at American Pie in Show Low.
The zucchini muffin put me to tears bringing me home eating my Mom's. Diane cooks true homemade. My husband had the brownie with homemade ice cream. Said it was fantastic.
We stopped here with a couple of friends and we all fell in love with this place. Great service and outstanding food..
Great service and great food at amazing prices. Definitely worth a stop in
We found American pie company by accident and so glad we did. We had the mixed berry pie and it was amazing. The firm flakey crust was the perfect topping to a great pie. We look forward to going again and trying different pies.
