This is our worst stay ever in Japan. Dirty share bathroom with dirty stain and broken shower cubical. Bad soundproof at the room, you can hear when others walking at corridor and people talking at next room. Host doesn't prepare slipper for guest enter to rooms and toilet. This hostel basically coverted from a restaurant and u still can smell the oily smell. Really bad experience.
The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. They provided shampoo and body wash. The inn was very clean!
Located in Koreatown between Shinjuku Station and Shin-Okubo Station, staff members are all friendly. Among them, there are Korean people, so I can help many Korean tourists to travel very comfortably.
Very simple accommodation, not suitable for too many days
Breakfast often wasnt there anymore, its also just toast and the ability to bake an egg. Rooms were decent but the ability to charge stuff was a nightmare with many plugs nit working.
Pictures on the site do not correspond to reality, dirt, mold, feather repellents on rodents, we carried suitcases to the third floor on a steep flight of stairs. Loud, hard to rest because eternally someone walks. Price per night 88 euros for two people completely not adequate to quality. Absolutely not recommended.
Rooms are decently sized and beds are comfortable. Very relaxed atmosphere. Although, there are no lockers in the room so it's best for booking out a whole room if you're traveling with company (which I did).
Bathroom/shower is clean. Location is right in the red light district if you want to explore.
Best thing about this place is that there is a free cellphone in every room that gives you free calls within Japan and free hotspot wifi anywhere in Japan. Great for travelers who don't buy a data plan. Although there is only one in the room, so it's up for grabs.
No real complaints, although if you have high standards and are not accustomed to hostel living it's not for you!

This place makes me smile.it was home away from home. The outside was a little run down looking but it was deceptively big on the inside and clean. Don't judge a book by its cover :) The rooms were simple but the beds were comfy. The location is superb. Close to stations and the vibrant nightlife - yet it was quiet at night.
The reception staff were outstanding and went above an beyond. We were at the airport when we realised we forgot a bag. The staff went out of their way to go meet our uber driver to give him the bag to drop the bag to us at the airport. They couldn't do enough and the kindness and hospitality they showed, makes this place truly special. Loved our stay here.
Very friendly staff, very nice room, showers are small but water pressure is amazing, temperature control was also fantastic. Free wifi, water (both hot and cold, from a filter system and cups provided) and breakfast. Awesome place just know you get what you pay for, breakfast is only 2 eggs and toast with black coffee, showers and bathrooms are communal (but still in separate smaller rooms) beds are very comfortable for price though. Would stay here again for sure.

It is good to visit guesthouse Tokyo Shinjuku Obo. There is Don Quixote nearby and shopping is convenient

Korean-run backpackers are cheap and clean. There are general supermarkets and convenience supermarkets and drugstores in the nearby lanes, as well as many Korean restaurants.
There is a short distance from the subway station, there is no elevator but the counter staff will help with luggage to the second floor.
Really great and accommodating hostel. Definitely recommend. The rooms are big and very comfortable. Breakfast in the morning is toast, eggs and coffee, a decent start to any morning, but if you don't love it there are plenty of spots right around that are great. It is situated in the middle of a Korean area with lots of great Korean restaurants but a short walk will get you down into Tokyo's finest areas.
Definitely recommend staying here, the price is unbeatable, and it was a very comfortable stay.

What you pay for is what you get! Things i didnt like, lack of security theres no lock anywhere from the entrance straight to your to your bed, the notice of if any of your stuff disappears its not their fault nor will compensate for it, requesting for change of bed even though there's no one using the lower bunk they wont let you, the aircon to the room is one-sided its cools of the other side while the other side is abit hot due to poor air circulation, over all my stay was unpleasant due to this but i had no choice since theres no more refund for your payment!!! But if your not worried about this stuff then its fine to stay here, they do have free breakfast at least...
The cleanliness and camraderie of Tokyo Inn are both below other similar hostels in the Shinjuku area. I am disappointed by the amount of dust and grime in the bedroom and bathrooms. That being said, it is livable. The only thing that it has over the last place I stayed, Tokyo Imano Hostel (great place) is the beds are a lot more comfortable. The "breakfast" consists of bread and cook your eggs. Day 1 there was jam and peanut butter, but they haven't reappeared. There is coffee without cream and no tea. The kitchen is pretty gross. If not for the closer access to the train I would have just stayed at Tokyo Imano Hostel again.
Very friendly staff and nice rooms, the lounge is very nice. Only downside is the complementary breakfast is lackluster but it's well located so there's convenience stores and Street food vendors not even 1 minutes walk away.
The shared bathroom window did not close, the window frame was old, and the piece of wood fell. I stayed for 5 days, but the bed sheets and the trash can not be cleaned up. The building is weak in soundproofing so I can hear everyone who visits the bathroom at dawn. I thought it would be noisy in front of Kabukicho, but the surroundings were quiet.
Was traveling with some friends and we got a room that was definitly not worth the price we paid for, the pictures online are quite missleading, its more of an overpriced hostel than anything else, the wifi was ok
It was nice to find something in Tokyo that was so affordable. The staff is very friendly and there are decent amenities. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and it is in a quiet neighborhood. Walking distance to Shinjuku neighborhood with bars, shopping, and restaurants.

There is a serious issue with the way Tokyo Hotel inn 2 (two) is managed. 1. There is no sign of the hotel. It looks like an apartment rented as hotel. There is no check inn. There is no front desk. There is no service. A paying customer is expected to walk to another location where Tokyo house inn ONE is located. It is extremely inconvenient for paying customers to constantly go to a different location to get towels etc. Internet was sketchy and noticed many customers were reporting dysfunction. This hotel management must have front desk and all services at Tokyo hotel inn TWO. This is not only a standard but it is the right and moral thing to do for customers. Trash disposal was an issue too. Once these issues are addressed, this hotel will be a great choice for paying customers. We liked room size. Hotel needs to send cleaning crew to clean and make bed daily. Standard. Hope these constructive suggestions help the owners and management.
I would like to stay at another accommodation of the same price. Soundproofing is not really 1, bed is too old, the ladder is broken, even the dormitory has no curtains, and the partition between the beds is handled by the bedrock.
Quiet good, for group traveler or family 4 person or more, because this hotel provide bunk bed. Share bath room.

The staff speaks English but the building is very old and rather dirty, there is mold in the showers, the air conditioning on the first floor is leaking a lot and some people have found roaches in their room! It's disgusting!
In addition the rooms are not at all soundproofed we hear the noises coming from the main street (ambulance) and our neighbors talking or walking in the corridor or adjacent rooms.
It s a pity that after June 15th, because the Japanese government has not managed to rent, but can wait until November to rent.

The best hostel that we stayed at in Tokyo. The staff were friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the lounge was always full of other travelers.
Great place, comfortable large suites with enough room to comfortably fit 4 adults. Walls and floors are a bit thin though so you do hear your neighbours talk and walk, other than the thin walls, it was a great place.
Don't recommend you try to cook anything as the kitchen is sparse and the stove will kick off the breaker if you use the high setting on the burner. Kitchen is meant mostly for making ramen or instant meals.
It is close to Shinjuku and Shin-obuko station which is about a 10 min walk to either.
Key couldn't be pull out from door lock. We told the staff about the problem but seemed nobody gonna fix it, so we had to struggle with the key whenever we use the lock. I always pulled out the key with my finger hurts, terrible. And the bed without a curtain leads to the lack of privacy. Furthermore, because the place where staff work is NOT in the entrance of hotel , strangers can easily enter the hotel without being noticed, I doubt about the security. There's always hustlers in front of the hotel. Highly not recommended.
A perfect casual stay in the heart of Shinjuku. Pocket wifi available free to take out. Coin Laundry, shower, egg omelet, jam and bread for free breakfast. Slots available separately for both males and female guests. Service of calling taxi pickup to Shinjuku bus terminal also was great.
