Everyone I know loves Six Flags. Who couldn't, I mean? Food, fun and rides galore!
Why the four stars? The place could use a little cleaning, in general, but especially that water/artificial river they have... I know no one is expected to jump in or drink from it, but it would make for a better view! Think about it :-)
With my new diamond membership, I actually enjoyed myself so much more to the point that I wasn't worried that I didn't ride all the rides in one day, and it was a great decision to get a deluxe dining pass! We ate like a king and queen! We didn't leave hungry!
Horrible park. About a third of the rides were closed and if you are a single rider just forget about it because you cant ride a majority of the rides here.
It very big and the roller coasters are really fun and the price is very affordable, you can pay once and eat all year. Six flags is me and my family's favorite amusement park
This place has changed alot. The season passes cost have changed and they now have different tiers. Full price ticket is 80. Parking is 30. A reusable drink cup is about 20 to 30 depending the one you get. This is not including food. Prize games or any suveniers.
What a wonderful experience. It's best to go as soon as they open if you have little ones. The medium rides like the Mine train, mini mine train, etc are better suited for the smaller 42' kiddos. The rides speed up later in the morning and are a little harder on them. The games are awesome because usually your sure to win. It's best to get a season's pass if possible so you don't overwhelm yourself trying to make every ride in one trip. Definitely a great deal to buy the $29 cups for unlimited drinks for the season, there is also a $17 cup good for just that day. Also, the dining pass has saved us a lot of hassle, just get your meals and keep riding. The dining pass pays for itself in two settings. Our family really enjoys our time at six flags. We have discovered so many rides for the younger kiddos outside of boomtown. We also love the family environment. We definitely recommend visiting. Also the Riddler is on of the best adult rides ever. Enjoy!
Great experience. Friendly staff, very clean park. Exciting rides. Worth the visit.
Awesome park. It's a little dated and could use a bit of a paint job and spruce up but otherwise it's fun!
It's fun with lots of rides and restaurants. But one complaint is why can't I bring water into the park
My kids did have fun, but they would have had more fun if so many rides were not closed. I had the Six Flags app, it can in handy. It let me know 3 rides were closed. In reality it was 8 including half of the kids rides and this included 2 of the 4 water rides. We were too hot and tired to check out the other 2.
Rollercoasters and dark rides. What more could a person want?
So much fun! I go very often, love most of the rides! Lines are long, I advise investing in the flash pass, makes a HUGE difference!
Do Dalles Area Rapid Transit (DART) employees get a discount????
It's fun for the whole family! Many different rides for all ages and variety things to do, keep everyone busy. The lines are long either you might want to but the flash pass or save money and just wait like everyone else. It's super hot so make sure to stay hydrated.
Quite a Bit of Fun! The Rides were intense and I don't know if it was just the day or not but the wait times were never more an 20-30 minutes. Had a great time!!
Great place for some family Fun!! We got a season pass and the meal pass and it was well worth it. It also came with a cup that you can refill all season long for free and the parking is always free. There are numerous rides you can enjoy or just walking around seeing all the activities going on. We like to watch the 3 point challenge game and just relax walking around the park. The old steam engine train is also fun to ride and it takes you all the way around the park. The observation tower is also really neat to see as you can see very far and get a great look at the city. There is also a ride ( I can't remember the name) that takes you up in a 2 person swing and it goes up very high and you can get a great look at things and also get a nice breeze to boot. I hope you have as much fun as we did and my recommendation is to invest in a season pass and I don't think you will regret it.
Went on the Saturday prior to fathers day. A ton of major attractions were down including most of the water rides. Lines were insanely long which is normal BUT rides went down while in line so it made it even longer. The park was clean and well maintained and the workers were kind and upbeat. All in all its a decent park. Not nearly as big as the Six Flaggs in Valencia, California but still a good place to take the kiddos.
Simple fun, its nice to feel a rush...but not be in one
I love the Dallas Aquarium!!! Honestly, what's not to love! You are indoors so no excuse about the weather. The animals are all awesome. The whole place was designed with the utmost attention to the care of the animals and the people there to visit. You really should go!
Was as expected great time! Wish there were easier directions for member services and staff was a little more knowledgeable of this. asked several staff and recieved different spots we missed out on valuable time to ride looking for member services to get our cups that came with our membership to get drinks. And though when we walked in one of the woman who was with security to check metal detectors became argumentative and actually challenging another security lady to fight.(which she was allowed to continue to work lol) our day remained
This place is awesome had a great time with friends if your in town you really need to come by.
The staff is always so kind and it's just an overall good experience just make sure to be prepared and wear sunscreen
Went midweek and the park was practically empty. We rode every coaster twice, the longest we waited was 5 minutes. Masks are required, I would recommend bringing a second one just in case you loose yours in a ride. Only downside is they were not handing out maps which made it harder to navigate the park.
Canceling my membership and never coming back here again. one problem after another down to can't even get a piece of foil to keep my food dry in the rain pitiful and just downright awful. Rude teenagers for employees and one actually laughed at me when I tried to voice my issue. Horrible horrible horrible if I could leave a 0 I would.
Pros: Hey, it's Six Flags!
Accommodations for individuals with disabilities.
Affordable season passes for the park and for food.
Excellent first aid staff.
Cons: Getting served stale buns from the BBQ restaurant.
Confusion over how to provide accommodations for those with disabilities (one staff member says go through the flash pass line while another says go in the regular line while the sign says to go through the exit... make up your mind!)
We purchased our season passes for 9 and took the trip to Texas today. Perfect weather and not overly packed. We had a great time. The staff we encountered was friendly. Prices are a bit high but overall a great experience
Great fun! Only complaint is the ride attendants are slightly rude and not very good at directing you to where you re supposed to be but other than that it s just like any other six flags in America!
Six Flags Over Texas has something for everyone! Our group has a wide range of tastes, from "extreme thrill seeker", to "even the ride in the car was too fast." Everyone in the group found something fun to brag about! Being Labor Day weekend, the park had many people, but the park entry and screening moved very quickly, with many employees enforcing mask and social distancing protocols. Portable hand-washing and sanitizing stations everywhere and clean teams working diligently to minimize spread of viruses. There were many employees throughout the park also reminding people of the protocols. Photographers inside the entry gate were readily available and has fun ways of setting the mood for park fun! Some ride lines were long, but flash passes were available (and highly recommended on busy days) and ride operators and retail employees were both helpful and upbeat, which was especially enjoyable in the sweltering Texas summer heat! Ice cold AC in the gift shops and dining locations, and the ever popular Roaring Rapids raft ride helped to cool everyone off while the thrill seekers opted for the Dive Bomber Alley add- on to soak up a breeze while flying through the air like Superman himself! A variety of dining options was available to please even our pickiest eaters and mobile ordering from the app made it so we didn't even have to stand in line to eat! It was so fun to see new Halloween decorations going up here and there, offering a sneak peek of things to come! We can't wait to go back!
Great amusement park. Lots of rides and fun for all. Get there early because you will want to ride all day.
Today was very hot out there! We were stuck on the new ride Diablo for about 10 minutes, me and my two daughters. And the bobsleds about broke my back. Never again in July. But most of the rides were open with short lines
Great family atmosphere! Lots of fun for everyone. They seem to be working hard on customer service and cleanliness.
This place is so confusing. I'm guessing this place was booming when it was first established and they had more traffic. They have not made adjustments to their parking lot to accommodate this change. Then the inside is even more confusing.
Drove 2 hours and spent $250 on 5 tickets to get there and over half the rides were shut down for "seasonal maintenance" the majority of the shops and restaurants were like a ghost town and there wasn't anything going on entertainment wise. Granted it is still during the pandemic but come on, at least discount your tickets if you're only halfway functioning.
Lines moved surprisingly quick. Wish we had allotted more time.
The mine rollercoaster was so cool when i was a kid! Its been forever but i remember it was awesome
Better than the one in San Antonio! The kids love it and my husband and can go on our own and let the kids run wild for the day.The Batman roller coaster ride is my favorite.
My family went here for my birthday weekend, July 26-28. Friday it was okay, although I do not like that they won't allow any gopros into the park because they are afraid of being sued. But yet I can hold my phone on a ride but not a gopro that is attached to me, seems like very unsafe to allow phones.
Saturday was okay, very crowded.
Sunday was horrible, we got there right at open and the staff was cranky, Johnny rockets staff was very rude. A lot of the rides weren't opened or opened way later.
One of the biggest amusement parks to go to in Texas. Really fun and safe for the family! Worth the pay to get into the park!
We had a great time. The diamond package we have is a steal
Each time I visit I am increasingly disappointed. The older and newer parts of the park are very distinct. There seems to be very little concern for aesthetic presentation. The buildings, rides, and other decorations/features are rusted, appear run down with faded or missing paint. It does not do much for giving an impression of well maintained and safe rides. This impression is furthered by the fact that in my last 10 visits there have been no less than 6 rides that break down.
Generally speaking, the employees seem very subdued and disconnected from park visitors. Not very friendly, or particularly helpful. Also, the signs addressing employees with threats of termination for various infractions is in incredibly poor taste. These things combined definitely give the impression that Six Flags is not a particularly great place to work. Which, in my opinion, also furthers concerns over the general safety of visiting. Extremely unhappy employees to not do their jobs well.
Park admission prices are absolutely ridiculous, especially when you consider you will be lucky to ride more than 6-8 rides even with an entire day spent there. You will most definitely spend the great majority of your day having spent a great deal of money to stand in line. The only real relief from this is to purchase a flash pass, but unless you have spent a great deal of time saving for this one day to the park the average person will not be able to afford it. Worse yet, is the basic (absurdly priced) flash pass will not really shorten your wait time for each ride, you just don't have to stand in line with the rest of the attendees.
Food and beverage prices aren't especially more expensive than any other similar venue, but be prepared to spend quality dining prices for a bland fast food quality experience.
Overall, we have decided to not renew our season passes after these run out and will take our business to a much more cost vs benefit option.
It is just an amazing place that they put a lot of effort keeping it clean and themed for the season whether its Halloween or Christmas! There are a good variety of rides and plenty of them, I would advise residents to buy the season pass and dining pass when it's on sale because if you go 3 times or more you cover the cost :D also they do weekend where you can bring people for free, who doesn't like free stuff???
Nice fun place...just need to be more organized in direction.
Its really fun I've been about 3 or 4 times so good judge Roy scream is my favorite ride
The oldest looking and dirtiest Six Flags I've ever been to. The rides were still enjoyable though.
I have always loved six flags but this one needs alot of work. Seems that this place needs alot of maintaining of the updates plus the yard work also. Some of the Christmas light were terribly old and broken. Some of their wood work on stairs were a bit in uneven. Just things i think that needed some repairs. Just thought it could be alot better. I came a long way to see this place but i was a bit disappointed.
My son lost his wallet in the gift shop. A Six Flags employee turned the wallet in and we arranged for them to mail to us. We received the wallet within 3 days and found that not a single dollar was taken from the wallet. Their customer service in the security dept was wonderful and I couldn't be more pleased that they employ honest, hardworking people. Thank you!
Change your cancellation policy. Six flags is good about taking your money but when it comes to cancelling you have to break an arm and leg for it. Online website did not allow me to cancel, was not able to get in touch with anyone by phone. Make sure you cancel 45 days before your last payment because it takes them that long to process the cancellation
Long waits ..beer is hard to find and bad selection...waited hours and out cart was broken. This place is a waste of money.
Took my niece and little sister today and I have to say I really enjoyed myself. Today was bring a friend for free with my season pass so I didn't have to pay for any tickets. Also, with my season pass I purchased the premium food pass where you receive 2 meals of your choice and a snack every day that you attended the park. For my first meal I got a Turkey leg, my second meal I got the BBQ burger with fries and a funnel cake for our snack. Overall I had a fantastic time!!!! Before the summer is the best time to visit the park from my experience
Texas Titan and Mr.Freeze are the best rides in the park. Lines were short this time of year. 7:30 PM is the best time to go because it is so HOT! Plan to eat lunch outside the park. $25 for 4 drinks
One of our favorite places to visit when we're in Arlington. We have season passes and come 3-4 times a year (We live 3 hours away) and thoroughly enjoy ourselves. Park staff is friendly and always willing to help.
Food prices are high, but we have learned to just buy the season cups and get the free refills, which cuts down our expenses a lot. Highly recommend this park if you're looking for good, clean family fun!
So tired of going and rides not being open. I pay good money for membership but still rides are not open.
The rides are always fun and there is lots of ride options but the park is gross. Every where you sit, it's sticky from food and dirt. I suggest y'all should add hand sanitizer throughout the park. Also maybe amp up your bathrooms. Like add mirrors and make sure they're cleaned regularly. Also give people designated water cups for the park since you don't let me bring in my stainless steel water bottle. Overall it's a good park but needs better accommodations and a cleaner environment.
Absolute rip off! Paid $79.18 for a same day ticket that started at $64.99. Then I had to go to a different line and pay $5.40 because the "same-day ticket" was a 3-Day Advance ticket... Well guess they got me this time, but NEVER again!
It is an amazing park with great rides. Some could use a new paint job, but overall a top tier Six Flags park. Overall, the staff are very lousy and rude. They don t want to make you have a good day. Also, people are vaping and juuling in the park and no one cares. It s annoying the staff do nothing to stop it. The park is a bit confusing to navigate, but it makes sense since it is the first Six Flags park and they try to just expand. It is a beautiful park though, but the only thing they have to improve is their lousy staff, and that really brought down the atmosphere. Take my word, go to Six Flags Fiesta Texas, not here.
I loveeee Six Flags I have been going to Six Flags for about 8 years now!!!! It s been atleast 2 years since I have been able to ride all of the rides at the park! My favorite ride is Superman Tower of Power!
Was very sad that they have let this place fall apart. Old abandoned rides that were an eye sore. We experienced 5 rides in a row closed due to "technical difficulties".... that made me very insecure in the safety as well as not getting my monies worth to drive to another state (with all the expenses to do that) to find many of the rides to be closed down. The grounds were not kept. Filthy bathrooms with no hand soap and with cobwebs even. Shops and food places closed early on a saturday. Many abandoned shops. The "original pick thing" stand opened.... with no pink things!! Very sad six flags! We will pick somewhere else next year. SMH
Awesome place to go with the family plenty plenty plenty to do pretty much will take you all day.
It was a great afternoon. It's a little magical watching the holiday lights brighten as the sun sets. Lines for rides in the winter season are a lot shorter. The live band performing cover songs was a nice way to rest our feet for a few minutes between rides. The Shockwave is still my favorite ride, but we tried some of the new additions. Word to the wise - do NOT eat nachos (or probably anything else either) before riding the Batman ride. Just sayin'.
Good deal if you score a season pass during the flash sale. Prepare to walk miles and wait in line, though. Usually too busy for my taste, but tons of fun for thrill seekers and lightweights alike.
Solid amusement park. Come for the thrills and stay for the funnel cakes
Great rides, food is way overpriced and not the best tasting. I recommend eating before
Great place to visit with family and friends. Lots of fun and great rides
Minus 1 star because no water fountains and they charge way too much for water. $5.50
Honestly one if not the best six flags ever! Now with that bold statement infrastructure is horrible they need to redo most if not all the roads and all the walking paths that have been there for decades.
Oh my goodness! SO MUCH FUN! I have never been to holiday in the park, so this was my first time, and I hadn't been to Six Flags in about 10 years. I had a blast! Thank you all! Great job!
The park still charge me the membership while shut down do to corona i no if the charge me i know they have charged others this is a outrage
Great place to have fun with the family on so many levels!
Not the biggest six flags I've been to but had a great time nonetheless. Ride lines were short and there were plenty of cool zones to cool you in the 100+ Texas heat. The park could use more frequent trash pickup. Parts were dirty and smelled like hot rotting trash. The Chinese food near the back of the park was surprisingly good.
Enjoy going and taking the kids have a lot of fun just wish that was less wait times for everything
Expensive then you have stand waiting in line for hours. just standing, baking in the Texas heat...hoping someone will come and end your suffering. Its seems EVERY ride, every time I've been has a long line. my legs AND body hurt, not worth it.
We love coming here! They've made season passes affordable. Makes a great family/friend day out!
They don't always have the friendliest employees though.
Platinum pass. DON T BOTHER. First hiccup, we couldn t park in the preferred parking because they re only for those that register online ahead of time.
#2 we had to make a full loop back to the front desk to get our bottles so that we could get our free drinks, they don t tell you that online.
#3 the one time flash pass, same thing, you need to get a pass at the front desk but they only give out so many for the day?!? What kind of garbage is that???
Mind you.. none of this information is provided BEFORE buying the damn membership.
Park is dirty, bathrooms are disgusting, staff consists of uninformed children. It was truly a fright fest.
Very diverse set of rides. If you want a thriller there are many but if you like more lax rides you can find them as well. Good food at reasonable prices.
I'm not a fan of amusement parks so I may be bias but it was meh. There were multiple school events happening so there were more people than I expected. I had to wait 3 hours in line for 2 minutes of fun. Plus, there wasn't enough staff for food places making the lines for food also long. Other than that, the rides themselves were thrilling.
Not only did i get a great deal with the season passes but the dining pass is practically a steal.
Ok, I have been coming here since I was 4 years old. I love this place, even though the lines have become almost unbearable. My reason for this review is for the "membership" they provide, and I definitely want people to be fully informed. They make it extremely difficult to cancel your membership, and you will have to go through so many hoops to do so. I have now spent $240 dollars on this dang membership despite only going to the park twice ( I know, my fault). After the 12 month membership, it automatically renews until you cancel (which is not what the lady I waited in line for an hour and a half to told me, but hey she was about 16 years old, so I can't fault her for not knowing the intricacies of a policy. I attempted to cancel online, but you have to wait 48 days..... in which they still charge you. ( granted its only 11.29, but come on this is 2018 and terrible service, and completely obvious what they are trying to do). The park is fun if it is not crowded. Definitely shell out the 200 bucks to cut the line, because that's the only way to truly enjoy yourself. Oh, and they can't send you a card, so they only way I can enjoy the park is get there and wait 2 hours to get a new one printed...If you are going to offer a "service", you might as well put a little time and money into making it an enjoyable process for your "members" * rolls eyes
Top notch service at Newman's Corn Dogs. They were handing our food to us when we ordered. For Six Flags anything it was awesome.
Fun place to go in the Texas heat. Unfortunately it s hot in the parks also. No escaping the heat here
Had a season pass and wore that thing out! Wait times aren t that bad depending on the day you chose to go. I would usually go during the evenings where many of the family guests are wrapping up. If you live in the area but don t come here you are wasting an opportunity.
Right now its hard to reccomend going as the sanitation practices are very lackluster
I love Six Flags Over Texas! Sometimes the lines are long, sometimes they're not so long. It has lots of great rides to please thrill seekers of all ages and variations. I would give them 5 stars, but they don't offer much more than rides. They should use their Looney Toons and DC Comics characters in more ways, similar to how Disney makes their characters available to park guests.
Six flags over Texas is amazing. If you come on a not so busy day it is nice. We got here just as the park opened and was able to ride 3-4 rides before the lines started getting long. As the day went on the lines got longer but in the heat of the day they kind of died off again. We couldn't stay for fright fest because we had other plans. Wish the haunted houses had been open during the day, they are in buildings which are dark, makes sense. Was a great day otherwise.
Very different then used to be. It's more of a teen hang out not a family place.
Had a great time with my coworkers! The platinum flash pass saved us from HOURS of waiting in line.
Many of the ride attendants were very rude and unhelpful, especially if you are hispanic!
