Love this place, it is been a while since I've been here, it's where dreams and memories are made. I decided to give six flags over texas a 2 star. It took me 3hrs to get in, couldn't find parking, the lines where unorganized, people cutting in front and when you actually do get past the main entrance their are no lines to make the lines go through smoothly.... this place definitely needs a new structure to make things run more smoothly.
It was too busy, starting with the parking g lot, then at the entrance it was completely packed fortunately we enter in about ten or fifteen minutes, once inside it was not that much people but still it took us about forty minutes to an hour in line for the rides and then at some point they close some of the games so we waist about 40 min in line :/ but other than that it was fun. The only thing is that they don't let you bring anything to drink or eat from outside and they are selling 2 bottles of water for $7.00 which I think is insane specially when is hot on the lines I don't know how they get away with it :/ . Anyways our visits was fun.
One of my favorite parks, very popular so prepare for long wait times.
My family of 6 has season passes for 2016. This Six Flags is awesome with a great number of rides and shows for all members of the family. If you still have babies in strollers, this park might still be a little tuff for you as parents that like to ride. I recommend visiting with extra people or a babysitter because the only complaint is have (this year being the last year I'll have a stroller) they don't make parent swap with a stroller easy. I've gotten three different answers from management on the official rules for parent swap involving children in strollers. The most recent decision by management is strollers DO NOT go through wheelchair entrance and children that young must be held while waiting in normal line. If you're a parent of young children you know 45 minutes to 2 hours is almost impossible to keep children at ease without restlessness, potty breaks, "I'm hungry", etc. Other than that, the park itself and the pricing on the season passes at the beginning of the year are awesome. We also bought the free refill for the season cups and $1 refill popcorn bucket. Next year thinking about the meal plan because the food is of course way over priced if paying cash.
Enjoy this park! And Six Flags management, if you're reading this, please provide a better system for young parents with young kids in strollers to ride easier making it more worth our while and more likely to continue buying season passes in years to come.
My wife and I spent the day here and had a blast!! First time without having the kids it was so much fun we purchased season passes and already planning our next trip!!
Ready for some updates to Looney tunes land, but my kids always love it!
Six Flags is always fun for my 12-19 year old kids. The park has changed a bit over the years though so there's not much for the 'in between' crowd anymore. If you have little ones, the Looney Tunes area is great, but once they outgrow that there isn't much until they're ready for the roller coasters and other similar thrill rides.
Depending on when you go, certain attractions will be closed. So call before and plan accordingly. Other than that, it's six flags, it's always an amazing time.
Great place, always packed!!! But this years fright feat was great!!
My kids loved six flags best place to take your children to have a day out
The rides are very fun and I almost did not have to queue in most of them but from 3-4pm got very crowded. Overpriced food and drinks, $5.50 for a small bottle of water was really abusive
Fright fest and Holiday inn r park were some of the BEST times we have had as a family!! This was our kiddos (5 and 3) first time to experience 6Flags!! We have season passes and they are totally worth the investment!! Great way to past time and make priceless family memories!!
The overall experience was good, but Mr. Freeze was broke down and we weren't told until 2 hours into the line. Lines for food that particular day were ATROCIOUS. One hour line for food, 10 minutes for snacks. This was more than likely due to the massive amount of school children being there that day, so I'm willing to bet your experience will be better than mine.
Bc of the rides and the fight fest I luv.....oh and I luv the fright fest ppl's clothing I luv u guys so much
Nothing beats six flags. Just purchased my season pass and I am enjoying every bit of it. I go there atleast twice a month to relax.
The adrenaline rush from the rides is inexplainable
This place is perfect for laughs and screams! I ve been coming here since I can remember and I bring my little sister here now and she loves it! The lines tend to get pretty long but with the flash pass they re a breeze. They ve always got events and deals going on which is great! Their staff is friendly and kind. The environment here is amazing! It s smoke friendly and honestly their smoking spots are great! They re not in spots where many people walk through which is great if you ve got little ones. The best times to visit are definitely during the holidays! We love it!
The lines dont move fast enough. But it's a crowded place. So much fun
Fun, great rides, great Halloween decorations and effects
So fun except the traffic leaving out. Stayed in the parking lot for an hr and a half before getting to a main road
I can't remember a time when I went and at least 3 major rides weren't shut down. The fast pass costs to much. Probably best to just get a season pass if you live close enough.
Went as a chaperone with the band and was very thankful for all the benches that allowed me to sit down & rest. Our kids really enjoyed themselves. Thanks for the ride back to the buses also.
The smells, the food, the lines and the company, everything quintessentially festive is here, like one large party. The crowds can be a bit much but there is something for everyone, if you want thrilling roller coasters you've got that, if you want a nice view of Arlington there are plenty of ways of getting that here and if you want fair food there is heaps and heaps of it here.
I love it there great rides but back in the day there was no hight limits I wish it was still like that
Great park to visit just not a 5 star because of the wait for the rides..
I am season pass holder and enjoy my visits to 6 flags. Too often I come and have rides closed or they aren't fully staffed to run multiple lanes. Otherwise it would be 5 star.
Loved it! I am from Colorado, spent the whole day there. We had so much fun, left with blisters on our feet.
I love the theme of the park! Looney tunes is was my favorite show. Food is pretty good but REALLY expensive! I m going again next week
Great one for exciting rides,. If we go on weekdays you can ride multiple rides multiple times .
They should offer refund in the middle of a pandemic. I dont feel comfortable going to six flag or anywhere with large crowd now and they should just refund everyone 2020 passes and if you want to go when they open you should be able to purchase another pass at a reduced price. But they dont offer anything. Just 1000 bucks wasted it okay cause six flag have lost my business from now on. I purchased season pass and dining pass for me and my 4 kids for the past 3 years. I wont be anymore. Nice work big corporations.
The rides were great and they varied from mild to max. Some lines were long but went fast
Here for a private event and the major rides are not ready for the event . Not a good start !working people paid their money for a working event !
We love six flags! We've been season pass holders for 13 years and always enjoy it. The rides are fun. There is plenty of stuff to do. My biggest complaint is the restrooms. They're in desperate need of repairs and updates. Sixflags management, please put more of your budget into the basics! My other request would be to add more stuff for toddlers to do. Otherwise, it's a great family place!
Our experience at Six Flags over Texas was less than memorable. We brought our two young grandsons to the park on Monday and immediately experienced poor employee attitude and their less than stellar work ethics when dealing with the park s patrons. We found the rides to be dirty and poorly maintained; the restrooms were filthy. There is no reason the park should be in this condition and this is a disgrace to Texas. Being a native Texan, I have visited Six Flags starting in the early 1960 s. It is a far cry from what it once was. With the prices charged for everything, there is no excuse for the rundown condition of the overall park.
Great time of the year to visit! The park was not overwhelming with people so we didn't have to stand in line for extremely long periods of time. All rides were up and running and all the park's employees had great attitudes.
The food is not up to par with the prices. The staff are not polite. Some of the rides were not in service. It smelled and mostly everything was dirty, from the restrooms to the places we ate at.
Great park, just always crowded. I guess that just confirms how awesome it is. It's expensive, so the only thing that pays off is to buy a season pass, everything else is craziness. However, I think it's totally worth it. My husband and I buy season passes every year, and even though we don't go very often (2-3 times a year) it pays off, as those few times cost like one regular entrance for one person.
Aside from the long lines and expensive food, the kids and I make wonderful memories here every time. The membership made it much more affordable to make many trips in a years time. I cancelled it after about 16 months, but we really enjoyed it while we had it. You must cancel membership 30 days in advance. Also, I recommend the food membership as well. I split it with another person and always had enough food.
Really cool park with a variety of fun rides. Lines aren't really long and it's nicely themed and clean. Coaster heads will love New Texas Giant and Titan. Staff seem friendly helpful. Interesting park layout as some rides are buried in the corners. Would definitely visit again. And ya don't have to worry about using lockers as the rides have storage spots to put your items. Would definitely visit again.
Six flags is a amazing theme park to spend a amazing time with your family if you go I recommend going on the big rides so you can have a blast their hopefully this helped
Hurricane Harbor was open this past weekend and passing traffic witnessed NO social distancing and humans packed like sardines up the ramps leading to the rides. Given the horror this state is facing, this attraction should not be open. Unbelievable.
The best roller coaster amusement park in Texas! Six Flags is the best and a yearly must visit for anyone in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana or Arkansas.
The prices are reasonable (bring a bottle of Coca Cola for a discount!), and enjoy! They have themes depending on the time of year.
All the rides are great, and the roller coasters are quite exciting! The Titan is a BLAST!!!!! So awesome!
After waiting in line over 40 minutes, and conveniently just 10 minutes after the park closed, Justice League had "technical problems" and everyone had to leave. Maybe try a little honesty if you want repeat attendance.
The new membership program is totally worth the investment as well as the dining packages. The park was clean and staff was friendly. Great experience for all ages!
Great fun to have with Family and Friends!! Friendly service and a large variety of food.
Nice park with plenty to do for all ages. How ever it seems to be ran by teenagers who don't much care. The worst part was finding somewhere to eat. With the trash over following in the bins. People started stacking trash on empty booths, that soon spilled over to the floor. Mean while the two kids on duty for this were texting and chilling. I asked the kid for something to clean the table with and he came back enhancer me a wet rag then went back to texting. It was the worst environment and microwaved Burger I've ever had and they still charged an arm and a leg for it.
(Jonny Rockets)
I bring my 1 and 4 year old here alll the time. They love it!
A classic in DFW are. New rides every summer, inexpensive season pass with a lot of perks. Some areas required an urgent update but the new rides are awesome. Lots of food choices and some okaces sells beer too.
Went on bring a friend day. Total chaos... Had fun though.
The prices were way too high. If you go, get the $20 cup that is teal/green, then you can get unlimited refills all day. At Johnny rockets I got the burger meal, and a chicken tender meal and 1 drink and it was $50! Also coming during the week (we are here on a Monday) is awesome, we get to ride everything we want. My kids road several rides multiple times. General parking was $30, so come prepared to spend a good deal of money. I also paid 6.50 for a normal nasty dasani water from the vending machine...so just be prepared.
It's a fun place with kids and I believe its reasonably priced with the membership. However, the staff are not very friendly, they appear miserable actually. My biggest complaint is the filth. The place is dirty. Bathrooms are gross, trash is everywhere, many areas wreak bc the trash bins aren't emptied often enough. Also, I havent been able to ride Mr. Freeze yet. I've been to six flags about a dozen times now and it has been closed every single time. I've wasted 2 skip the line passes on that ride which is rarely open.
Season passes are the way to go... cheaper than a one day admission. Food is WAY too expensive for the quality of food!
IT WAS AMAZING!!! FROM THE BEGINNING TO THE END!! STILL WET FROM RIDES WHAT A DAY!!
This place is full of fun and laughter for both kids and adults and plus you get lots and lots of exercise too
Had tremendous amount of fun ! This was great for our family!
We had a great time. Staff while younger were very accommodating and helpful. We are debating season passes.
Long tradition of attending. Many, many memories. Crowds, sub par food, high prices etc. but always good fun with family !
Wearing the mask right now in open areas is a bit of a pain. But still a great place up visit and I understand why. I'll have stop going to six flags
Had a lot of great rides! Unfortunately a lot of rides were closed. Both days I went different rides were shut down. I'm wondering if it was because they are under staffed.
A great place to go, don't go when their having events or busy, go during the week or during school hours, prices for some food are a little ridiculous but, you can bring your own food
Today was not too packed at all. Having memberships makes it convenient.
I was super impressed. There were so many fun adult rides. The New Texas Giant (if I'm calling it the right thing) was my favorite!!!
Very good service and lots of fun, but high prices.
I've lived within a mile of this place for 30 years; there are no other words for the way SFOT makes me feel! To see the Arlington Entertainment District grow around this park is the story of my life. Get a Platinum VIP season pass for your family and walk around there feeling like you own the place. B-)
Expensive but decently fun.. The park, its pretty clean as in the big wigs make the employees pick up cause they have to follow behind people that litter.. So im glad they do that and try to keep the place picked up, could be a little cleaner as in the waters sake, but its decent for sure... Have a pocket full of money, and eat before you go
I really enjoy going here BUT the LINES are always so insanely long at everything you do, and I mean everything ( I'm talking an hour to an hour and a half for one ride). Yes you can pay extra to skip the lines on the rides and get a snack at a discounted rate if you purchase it online, but who really wants to do that? That's more money out of your pocket. And don't get me started on the parking that's just as bad.
Now if you just want to go and walk around and look at things that's fun too. There are no lines to wait in but you do have the hustle and bustle of the crowd.
So I wish they could fix those issues. I'm not sure how they would do it but if Disney World can do it then...I'm pretty sure Six Flags can do it too.
Great rides, the lines to get on rides went faster than expected, food choices are great and the food is tasty, but there is a long line if your tickets aren't completely registered.
Rides were good and the were lines not to long. We went on Tuesday, definitely buy the all you can drink cup. The only thing that annoyed me was the two restaurants we went to only sold things as combo and they were mostly fries. You get 3 chicken tenders then a handful of fries for $12 which is not a bad price for amusement park food but there is no way to order just a burger or nuggets. So most of the people in the restuarant were throwing away most of the fries just seems to be a huge waste of food forcing people to buy stuff they dont want.
Although I am impressed with the fact Six Flags is spending money and bringing in bigger rides finally but needs to bring in a massive coaster because the park is just not that much fun to go to and I am a coaster enthusiast they keep bringing in coasters that are so dated with a a slight modern change but they this park has no wow factor and the fact they're letting so much of it get run down they need to do a face lift on so many areas of the park the log ride area is sad and pathetic and looks scary as hell and you can't even tell that it's open one side isn't even use and has it been cleaned in ages you're not going to use that side at least sweep out the leaves in the dirt and make it look like it's not going to fall apart if you ride the other side they have a roller coaster inside of a mountain that mountain is surrounded by swamp nasty nasty mosquito infested water I'm ashamed of Six Flags for the fact that they Pride themselves on being everywhere and a great part and money yes needs to be spent on your parts to keep them going but don't forget your facelifts because while you're standing there in line at looking at rot and slime and mosquitoes it's a turn off and I love going to Six Flags but I really don't care to go much back to Six Flags Over Texas cuz it is just gross
It's fun and has been a go to entertainment place for my family for over 30 years. The season pass and dining passes are great. The reason I give it 3 stars is that it could use a face lift. The new rides are great and shiny and new, but the park could use a freshening up as a whole. Some fresh paint and cosmetic repairs in the off season would make a world of difference to the appearance of the park. Some areas just kinda look sad and old. I wish they would take a cue from their sister park in San Antonio. Fiesta just typically looks cleaner and brighter. Overall, it's a great park and I will continue to take my family there. I just feel they would have better reviews, etc if the park got a bit of a makeover.
Enjoyed my time here. It was a ton of fun. Would come back definitely. There was a couple of unique coasters that were just awesome.
Nice and very fun but a little busy and crowded at holidays
This place is a great place to hang out with friends and family. The new rides are exciting and I've been coming here for years. I can't wait to come back.
Rides are great. Food service, not so great. I understand that this is a slow day for the park, but when you have a 30 plus minute wait just to order your food, it's time to open a few more restaurants.
This place is great. But I'm a bit scared of half the rides. And from walking so much feet were swollen. Other then that love it and good deals.
Fun family place. Great for all ages to have fun. Employees are great and willing to help when they are able to. If not they will try to find someone or let you know where to go to get answer
I really liked how it went, its a great place to go with family and friends knowing you will have a good time, the food there is amazing and the rides are awesome. I think if you planned on going to dallas definitely mark six flags as one of your "to-do" things. You will have a great time!!
Once again timing is everything with Six Flags they went to school started the lions were empty the rides are fast number one ride at Six Flags mr. Freeze without a doubt
A great amusement park. Such a fun place to hangout with friends. The passes are reasonably priced and the staff is very helpful. The park is clean and there is a great selection of rides. My only problem is that the rides malfunction a little more than I would like. While this doesn't happen frequently, it isn't as rare as would be expected from such a large park. But overall I would definitely recommend visiting.
Great but a lot of the staff is just incompetent. They also close food places early so they can leave for the day. I as well as another customer, had to get management involved on one occasion. We had our fair share of line jumpers we had to get behind, instead of the employees doing their job and removing them. Other than that, we always have fun in the park and on the rides.
Astonishing and fabulous fun and they the most courteous staff and customers service is awesome and understanding
Super experience, the best place to have fun with family and friends, high recommend. very good deals and prices.
My only 6flags experience up to this point had been Six Flags Over Georgia. I grew up going there and loving all the rides.
Six Flags Over Texas, by comparison, is like Georgia on steroids!! There are so many rides, some of them unbelievably thrilling, that I have a new favorite theme park! Titan, Mr. Freeze, New Texas Giant, Pandemonium, and many more--they were all great. I can't wait to go on Mr. Freeze again
The lines were pretty good, almost everything was running, and it was relatively easy getting in and out.
It's expensive, so be prepared to drop $100 if you're parking here, and more if you don't bring food like we did.
Six Flags Over Texas is still a nice theme park. Could be cleaner, some old rides could use an overhaul. Very disappointed for a park to open at 10:30 on a weekday in summer and then still not have rides open for 1-1/2 to 2hrs later. Ridiculous. Coca-Cola fill up stations are not convenient like Fiesta Texas. Most locations were full of bees because they were so dirty. Prefer Fiesta Texas for sure.
Fast excellent customer service. Great VIP parking.
