Six flags is awesome but the line to get in is ridiculous and so unorganized.
I'm only giving Six Flags Over Georgia 3 stars instead of more. Good selection of rides, the dining pass is a must if you go more than a couple of times. Where the park really lacks is a lack of fans and shade around the park, especially in the ride queues. Also, they need to run the AC at a much cooler temperature inside of restaurants. I literally almost passed out and hit the floor waiting to get food and a drink because of the extreme heat outside. The temperature was almost 100 degrees outside (heat index was over 100), and inside the restaurant it was maybe 85. And you guessed it, zero fans to move air around. Waited 30 minutes to get to the register to order food and a drink. My head pounded due to heat exposure. Seriously, this is a hazard, and something needs to be done about it around the entire park. I had to leave the park and sit in my car in the parking lot just to cool off. The bathroom next door to the restaurant seemed to be the only place that actually had AC that was cool.
Relatively affordable, but too many staff members seem unhappy there.
Holiday in the Park was great. The kids enjoyed themselves. One of the cashiers at the funnel cake stand to the right as you enter the Park had a very nasty attitude...
Had an awesome time on all the rides. The flash passes made for a wonderful time because I didn't have to wait in line either.
Great deals on tickets if you live close enough to go a lot. Lots of activities for all ages
It was fun. lines were somewhat long and it's pretty expensive.
What's to say? It's Six Flags. It's a fun time no matter the age group. (Excepting geriatric, post-hip-replacement invalids).
This park could be so much better if they would increase their opening hours!! And hire staff who don't glare and move like molasses. I find it's either crazy busy with super long lines or if you go in the off season, half the rides are closed.
The facemasks aren't too bad and they have stations where you can relax and take them off. The rides are stellar and I really like the food.
They jus charge for everything... You pay admission and you still have to pay for other things to do..smh..greedy.
Great coasters, not-so-great customer service. Place has become very run down in recent years. Bought an annual pass b/c of great deal on them. Will NOT be renewing.
I really enjoy the Holiday in the Park at Six Flags each year. The lights and music make it a nice entertainment for the whole family!
Six flags is good, lots of drama though, the employees are kinda rude... Fun rides though
I went during Fright Fest this year and had a blast with my wife and some friends. This park is normally priced in comparison to other amusement parks, drinks can get expensive and if you plan on returning I would purchase a refill cup. The park is modest in size- not the never ending walk of Disney or Universal Studios but still big enough to have a theme park experience. Affordable, fun- definitely recommend.
On Saturday, July 13th 2019. I was getting on the Scorcher ride. (Somewhere between 6-7:30 pm) sat next to a random girl, which the workers HARRASED for her number. It was even a supervisor (green shirt) that was asking to hook his boy up More
Something for everyone to do! Love taking my kiddos
Its always a blast good variety and the lights were great.
It would be nice if they had all the concession stands open, it stinks wasting 30 mins to an hour to get food or drink
Hate this place. Charge extra money for fright fest. All stores are not open. All rides are not open. The tram to take you to and from parking is slow and are only 1 or 2 running at a time. Food is stale. And that's if u find an open stall.
A few things were out of service and some venues not open at all, but it was a great day if riding thrill rides! No lines or crowds, no need to buy a fastpass, generally no wait at all!
It was nice, hadn't been in a while. They need sitting around the rides for parents.
Restrooms were really Clean, I could still smell the bleach. Great!!
Food lines are too long. Restaurant employees are too rude and slow.
Good fun, but lots of the attractions were down and didnt seem to really care about us. The Halloween attractions cost additional money, but seemed fun.
Nice park. Cleanish. Slowest service to get a drink or any snack ever. Seriously 20 minutes for 3 people. All of whom just got drink refills
You can't beat the coasters, however the staff often leaves much to be desired. They are often under trained in customer service and not knowledgeable. Once in a great while there is an outstanding employee, but they are far and few between. Plus it's smelly here. It's not Disney, that's fo shizzle. It's still fun though. The Holiday Lights are a completely different family experience vs a regular Six Flags day. It's worth the trip, they have s'more stations, etc. You can't beat the train ride to Santa either.
While they have reopened, under staffing and unmotivated staff barely enforce masks. That coupled with people straight up ignoring rules is less then ideal. im very happy to have them open with many hand sanitizer stations around I never saw any rides cleaned the entire 4-5 hrs I was there. No matter what there is always a risk we should all do our part to reduce the risk . If its going to be bring some kind of portable / hand fan ( u will thank me ) using the app to order food and drinks will be a time saver and in my opinion a MUST for everyone going ( disclaimer I and a diamond elite member) with no flash pass
Probably not the best day to visit. Many of the rides were closed and the entire Gotham section was closed for construction of 2 new rides. Many coaster were only running 1 train but the lines weren't too bad. Other than that it was a decent visit.
Fun and entertaining even in these hard times the make everything work safely
Enjoy the following pictures of the parking lot... The little red baggie is precious. If you have total disregard for families and rational behavior this is your place.
I have bought the season passes for 4 years & today was my last visit. I tried to work it out with administration before leaving but when the "manager" came out to talk to us, I lost complete hope for this place.
I've never expected this to be Disney, Universal or even Dollywood. Kings island & cedar point are better managed. For a chain/franchise park that has been in operation since the 1960's I am not sure why it is so problematic for families to enjoy.
The parking lot is always dirty. It makes no sense to wait for the trolley. If that's your first ride, it'll be scary.
Entrance: meteal detector area design and fingerprint machine are a bottlenecks and no one ever tells you why the fingerprint is needed.
Merchandising: The tanning sunblock @spf 15 is confusing. If you want actual sunblock you have to go all the way to the end of the park to get sunblock. That should be at the beginning of the park and next to every water ride. Also don't sell huge bottles they're hard to log around. Has their merchandise department even gone to the park without an official escort? They don't really advertise their exclusive merchandise and their baby products are not next to the kiddie rides. The location of certain things needs more thought.
We ignore these types of things but it does say they don't pay attention to details. So far these are top down issues which allow for the following bottom up issues to fester and drive families away. Today we tried a few of the more grown up rides. Our daughter is getting older and we don't want her to be afraid of the rides.
Social norms are systematically disregarded and a culture of bulling and entitlement by some riders prevails. The ride crews seem oblivious and unprepared to engage in a rational way.
These 2 rides stopped so abruptly it hurt: Great American Scream Machine (although this was 2 years ago) and Mind Bender (today). If you ride these be careful and don't send your kids even if they're tall enough.
Single rider lines are treated like the flash pass. We observed, in Justice League and Mind Bender, how 3+ people would go on the single riders lines & be allowed into the ride as a group while the rest of us were in a 30+ minute long line. On the same rides we observed flash pass holders being let in after they had cleared the single rider line. I stayed behind with my groups belongings and saw this behavior repeat. Today other people in the line noticed and mentioned it to the crew but it was as if nothing was said.
Also, do not let your belongings or your cups on the wooden structures. At first glance they look helpful but not really. There are no labels; there's no system logic. On Justice league and mind bender we saw at least 2 sets of people pick up the wrong cup. The one I observed felt like the person took the unlimited cup on purpose.
A culture of cutting lines goes unchecked and dare I say it's rewarded. The crew is either not trained or biased. The crew will let the the cutters get away with it and treat people that make the lines feel like criminals for even speaking up. I observed this in Justice league, mind bender and go karts. In log jamboree we experienced it first hand. We told the crew, they let them go, then told us to get on or leave and they could not do anything. Then they held us when the ride ended until the "poor girls" left as they mocked us all while the crew saw the latter and did nothing.
Want to cut? Have the youngest dash to the front. Then the rest of the group, sometimes they were grown-ups, follow. If anyone accuses your group: batter your eyelashes and claim innocence then wave and laugh as you have made someone's day miserable. Congratulations, you have accumulated extra points for hell! The crew will back you, don't worry and repeat.
We're not going back. I guess what I really want is a park I can be proud to say it's close to us. Six Flags is not it
Was excited to go to six flags but my favorite rides went down due to the heat but it s summer time. These rides should be built to withstand the heat and we were in line waiting for a while until they canceled it.
A lot of restaurants were closed hours early before the scheduled time so I couldn t get anything to eat.
Overall, six flags over Georgia needs some work to do
Stopped by to renew Season Pass and catch lunch. It was a low volume evening so the service was quick. Looking forward to returning for the remainder of the 2019 season.
Concessions service is terribly slow and had to listen to Smash Mouth twice. Otherwise, had a really fun time
Me and my friends had lots of fun until we reached pandemonium which had an hour long wait and when we finally got on it broke because someone's natural instinct to pull down the shoulder guard and somehow broke the whole ride this ride should not be open if it has these types of problems and my head almost got crushed from the automated shoulder guard
We love SixFlags! Got a membership for my family of four for just $30 a month with free parking and discounts. And we get to take family members for free or super cheap!
Under staffed, lines for fast Pass, meal plans, all rides, and drinks. Park was clean, but staff was carefree and indifferent!
Our meal plan stated we received 2 meals and snacks along with bottomless drink. In very small fine print it stated that it had to be redeemed at the pizzeria in the front of the park first before it is good anywhere else. So, we travel back across the park to redeem at the pizzeria and there is a line be of over a 100 people. The staff would bring out a 8 slice pizza every 15 minutes as if they could only cook one pizza at a time? Same place had no ice for their fountain drinks, but somehow a employee came up front from the back to refill their cup and it had ice. The pizzeria was just one example of how terrible this experience was, overall the park was understaffed, and they didn t have enough rides going! It was by far the worst theme park experience I ve ever had and the only review I ve ever written!
First cooler day this fall. We had a great time. The lines weren't too long and the Halloween decorations were great. Going again at Christmas.
Rides are great but as for the staff some were nice. They re a few who were very rude. Especially this girl who was working at Dippin dots. Her attitude was so wrong and very rude to everyone
Unfriendly service, if you could find someone to ask. Extremely disappointing
My kids stayed here till the place shut down, loved every minute.
Really fun way to spend the day! Highly recommend buying a season pass when they have sales because a 1 day ticket is nearly as much as a pass anyway.
It's a decent amusement park. I purchased a membership for the price of a single ticket during a holiday sale. Diamond status gets you free parking, free soft drinks ($5-$7 each otherwise) and 35-50% off anything else you purchase in the park. Even if you only visit once there's a good chance the membership will pay for itself. The park itself is a typical Six Flags. The lines for some of the rides can be a bit excessive but the staff are friendly and polite and there's a fair assortment of rollercoasters to spend the day riding.
On our way to Florida we stopped at this six flags to check it out. It is the WORST six flags EVER!. We went on a couple rides and left because the rides made me dizzy and sick. The employees are not nice to you at all I was extremely excited to come but that was a HUDGE disappointment.
Went during Freight Fest. Definitely one of the best amusement park experiences I've had. The theming was incredibly immersive. I love the coaster variety now that they have the Dare Devil Dive and the RMC, Twisted Cyclone. Highly recommend buying passes as the lines were over an hour long and the Justice League ride (A+) was easily two hours at times.
Smaller than my normal 6 Flags location. Makes it easier to negotiate. Loved the Holiday Lights display this year. Very pretty, well laid out, and season appropriate. Some rides make sudden movements and not recommended for people with back or neck issues. While several rides required maintenance during the night, they were fixed fairly quickly. The tram to and from parking lot is a nice touch for those that don't want to walk.
A lot of the rides little hiccups here and there with technical problems, but otherwise an awesome place! Really glad I got a membership!
You should ride the goliath, its 200 ft tall and it goes 70 mph.
Only 1 small bus to transport. In line 45 mins then they said ride is down. Ridiculous. Only got 2 rides for our money. Very overrated. Will not be back. Rip off.
Almost forgot to write a review for this place. Not nearly as good as the one in New Jersey, but still pretty awesome. I've used my pass from GA at other Six Flags locations too, which is a pretty good deal.
The coasters are fun but they nickel and dime you to death. Don t carry a bag or purse into the park because you ll have to pay to store it in a locker before each ride. It s completely ridiculous that I can hold my purse on all the rides at all four disney parks and both universal Orlando parks but here I have to pay to lock my purse up while I ride.
It was a great experience, but there are many things that you need to know there are around 4 rides that are closed, there is a bus to take you to the gate from the parking lot, they have an app with the map an waiting time it s really useful, the best one for me was twisted cyclone I recomen you go there fist it s really crowded at the end and las but not least I really recomen you arrive really early even before the gate open go to the main ones first and then the others you will safe time.
Half the food places were closed down as were half the water rides. I get summer break was over but it was still mid 90's and the weekend. Crowds are hit or miss, some times it's a 10 minute ride wait other times an hour or more.
So much fun. I think its better than Bush gardens tampa, fl. We didn't get to ride everything due to covid-19 n maintenance on certain rides but a wide variety of rides left you wit much to be done.
Would be 5 star ,but our food service experience was just bad. Slow service, 30min to get a refill with only 3 people ahead of you, wasn't given a wristband, had issues getting one, even with receipt.. Worth the money to "Flashpass" the rides,to avoid lines!
It was great, but the wooden rides hurt my head and back. I suggest you watch out for the wooden rides. Other then that, it was amazing.
Awesome as usual!! Would recommend anyone from anywhere to go here!! Never failed me and you only live once to try all these things. Lifes to short enjoy it!! As you can see we did in our picture XD
STAY AWAY from six flags don t waste your money! Employees are rude, they don t even take the time to buckle your children up on the rides, half of the rides are closed, everyone that works their obviously hates their jobs! We bought memberships and have been three times so far and it s been awful every time we go! My youngest can only ride the rides in the bunny boomtoom and there were only two rides open and both the employees running the rides were soooo rude I made a video I wish it would let me post it on here! The little purple and green roller coaster in boomtown is ALWAYS closed and my babies ask to ride it every time! It s dirty looking not well kept up! Just a huge disappointment...we will definitely be getting season passes to Alabama adventure next year instead of six flags! We drive two hours up here every time we come and it s always disappointing! We arrived at 12 and left by 3 because I was so upset about the way the staff act! They told my children RUDELY to back up and they are kids that are excited I understand they have to stand back but I don t talk rude to them so I be damned if the staff at a place that is suppose to be entertaining me does! Please just don t waste your time and I m usually not even a complainer but it s terrible
We were told the rides go rain or shine, but with no thunder or lightning and only a slight drizzle everything was shut down from when they opened at 10am until at least when we left at 1pm. We tried to wait for rides to open, but eventually gave in. If you plan on going, do not go on a questionable weather day no matter what anybody tells you.
They need to open the food spots on time. And the rides need to be thoroughly inspected because for the past 4 times we've gone this year there is always some temporary closed ride that we want to get on
Lines were long for some of the rides but we had a great time and we excited to visit next year. Be prepared for a decent hike from the car to the park entrance and pricey food.
Loved it! Finally got the courage to ride a roller coaster!
Half of the rides are closed. Waited in like to buy an all day refill cup that was hanging up. When I reached the counter, the employee said they didn t have any more when it s literally hanging above his head. They re under staffed. Waited an hour for a turkey leg and fries because they had two people working. We ended up not buying any food because no line for food would move. This experience has reminded me as to why I quit coming here.
Great for family memberships or else I probably would think twice of going. My kids enjoy the park so much, other than lately man kids rides not being available. Everything is overproced so we plan accordingly. I feel like Hurricane Harbor was a great addition to the park its pretty chill compared to white water so its nice to have the option. The staff...Kids...its clear they are young and not interested lol but overall we have good experiences each visit.
Most of the rids closed. No one enforced social distancing while in line for rides. Hand sanitizer stations empty. Biggest disappointment was that the rides or at least the handles were not wiped down after each run through. Only good thing was the lines were not long. Just stay home. Its was worth the risk of coronavirus to ride 5 rollercoasters!!
Variety of coasters to ride, good cover during rain downpour, friendly & helpful staff!
Busy place. Lots of rides and food choices. Not very wheelchair friendly however. Big hills and slopes.
The people at the front gate were not very helpful with getting my children finger scanned. Instead, they let my husband finger scan for them. Now, w have to go back from Memphis just to get it fixed before wet can go to any other Six Flags. The turkey legs also were not very seasoned. But other than that we had a great time at Freight Night. The diamond elite membership allowed me to buy some items at 50% off including meals which was helpful.
love the rides just wish the workers would smile at least
Kids had a blast but several rides were closed for no apparent reason. Also went to get lunch and they were out of 60% of their menu. This after waiting in line for 10 minutes. It was a slow day in general in the park, there was no ride line longer than 15 minutes but somehow they still ran out of food and couldn't open all the rides. For 50 to 70 bucks a ticket, I expect better.
Had a good time. It got dark quickly and if course the lines were long. It was a Saturday. But the Fear Fest was nice. Wouldn't mind doing that again next year.
We went to six flags October 17th. We haven't been all year due to Covid and decided to go during HallowFest (formerly known as Fright Fest). We had to make reservations to get in, so we thought the lines wouldn't be too bad, especially since they were limiting capacity. Well, was I proven wrong. We arrived at our designated time of 12:45pm and got in quickly. That was the quickest line of the day. The first roller coaster we went on was Goliath. That was an hour and a half wait. After that, we got lunch. That took another half hour in line. Then, we headed over to the Battle for Metropolis and the line was backed up outside. So, we decided on Superman. We waited over 2 hours. I'm not really sure they were limiting capacity that much....
I didn't see any rides being wiped clean. I was surprised by that. They tried social distancing people in line and strictly enforced wearing masks. There was plenty of hand sanitizer around the park, though, and I was glad of that.
The ghouls came out around 6pm and we enjoyed seeing them. The scenes they set up were really neat. However, we didn't stay past 8pm. We were frustrated and just wanted to go home. Besides, the park was closing at 9pm.
This is just my opinion, but I don't think our membership is worth it anymore. The past few times I went to six flags, I have waited so long in lines that it's not worth it. I wish we had $$$$ to spend on Flash Passes, but yikes they're pricey!!!
Visiting from California, every restaurant or shop we went into we had to call the attention of the workers. Panda Express inside the park was absolutely disgusting. Food all over the floor, tables had not been cleaned & workers were arguing over making more food! They had about 2 hours left until closing & were arguing over making more. The park overall had bad service, no one was kind or friendly.
Worth the money for a fun day. I recommend buying the membership.
Always buy season passes. We drive 5 hours to come. This year we brought the kids for Spring break like we have the past 3 years. Half of the rides where down for maintenance and as soon as they opened one up another would go down. Very unprofessional employees and had no clue about any questions asked about the park. Came back the next day and visited the restroom within 30 minutes of opening the park and it looked like it hadn't been cleaned since the day before. No toilet paper and pure filth. Expecting to have a great time and even the kids wanted to leave. Only about 3 rides where open the first 2 hours of being ope.Very disappointed!!!
Fun rides but be prepared for ridiculous prices on food. Also employees never look happy. I saw an employee lick his fingers after dealing with cheese and then grabbed customers food and drinks. Disgusting and pathetic. He didn't even wash his hands!
If you need an ADA Pass they require a letter from your doctor stating what your disability is. Because my son being Autistic and he doesn't display any physical disability this is required. We have a blast every time we go except for this part.
They have some of the best rides around and everything was great. The riding experience was a blast and run like a well-oiled machine. The only complaint is the food. It's super overpriced and was bad quality. Also, that was the longest line we waited in! There wasn't too many people standing in front of us, but we waited almost an hour. It didn't seem like the employees were working in an efficient manner at all. It was too hot for everyone to stand there in the sun for so long. The cleanliness of the food places was also bad. The floors were really sticky, and trash and napkins thrown out in the floor. That can't be helped very much because they seem to be hurting for staff. Hopefully, the dining experience will improve, and the people will be trained better.
Overall a good time but never enough food and drink locations open. Have to wait forever!
People were super friendly, the lines were short, the rides thrilling it was awesome
It was ok but some of the rides like Batman and sky screamer were not working right so it was ok
Cool spot for quick family fun, of course food prices and souvenirs are outrageous. White waters is a nice water park with daring exhillarating rides. As long as you can find a deal on ticket prices, six flags is an oldie but goodie family park~
The rides were fun but unfortunately you have to wear a face mask while on the ride even though the seats are further then 6feet apart because they skip every other row. There was also several rides closed. Enough to where it isn't worth going right now. Staff was nice though.
Honestly Six flags has lost its touch, Ive been coming here since I was a little kid and I m now 22 years old. I usually get the season pass but I think this is my last year. The lines are supper long, majority of the staff doesn t seem like they care about working there, except D.Juan Shaw and Carissa Merriwether. They were quick with the service and actually smiled back, I was so glad I met them bc I was really hating on the park as a whole.
But back to my complaints what really gets me TICKED OFF there s always rideS closed. I wouldn t mind the high prices if I got my money s worth. Six flags should invest in finding a way to manage lines better due to the fact that there would be so many empty seats. I also hate waiting an hour to get a drink and still have to pay a lot.
Six flags I m so disappointed :( maybe y all should look at Disney s marketing strategy and get some tips. Even though the target size is a lot larger people seem way more satisfied than here. JS
Six Flags Over Georgia is just an overpriced dump full of mass hysteria. This place is full of poor management and cut expenses. The people who come here seem desperate to deny the double-triple compeitor prices and strey smokers. In my time here I saw no smoking areas to contain second hand smoke, and if I get lung cancer I am blaming it on here. This place has so little good attractions that everything is overcrowded, even on most empty days. If you walk around, you may see a filthy floor either outside or in a shop. On their website, they make you pay about $20 a month for reasonable park prices and add $11 dollars to every online transaction just because they can. This whole place is a money scam. This place isn t even dignified enough to cover it up properly. They have obviously fake reviews of 5 stars to create the delusion of a good amusement park. There is proven psycological study that people will tend to overlook the bad for the good, so people look for the small nearly nonexistent good parts of the amusement park because of the fake reviews and false reputation. If you see this, please copy and paste it into your own review for 1 star as it took up a half hour of my day to write. Thank you.
Great school visit. Not crowded and perfect weather!
