I hated brcause this woman she kept scaryng on October thae 30 so then she told me stupid and she worked at sixflags
Me and my son had an amazing time just make sure that you have on comfortable shoes. And be prepared to stand in long lines for food and drinks.
Horrific customer service. No matter where u went, long lines for food and drinks but ONE or 2 cashiers taking their time. No sense of urgency, out of everything, just deplorable, the WORST 6 flags experience and location.
I love the variety of the rollercoasters and waterparks there is everything for everyone
Park was practicing social distancing and the lines were very short! They opened a haunted train ride to still have scares as they cannot have people jump out at you!
Need to work on the maintenance of their rides, as most rides looked like they haven't been taken care of in several years, with paint chipping away, or looking like things are very flimsy and about to fall apart. Prices are ridiculous for all of the "extras" that they charge for.
My children love it here. This is the one six flags park that has a water park included! The water park is amazing and well tended for, clean and organized. The rest of the park is also a lot of fun and the sanitization crew is also on top of things, thank goodness. I would recommend getting a membership, to include food because these services can be very expensive is doing it for the day.
Not a bad place if your a local but wasn t worth the 2hr drive for us. Rides was really short and it took us 30 minutes each time to get our food when we ordered our lunch at 1pm and our dinner at 5:30pm. We got bored around 4pm but stuck around since we did take a 2hr drive and it is my sons birthday. We have the membership but we are cancelling it since it s not worth it for us.
It is the best park ever and you should try the fireball because it was crazy. At first I was so scare but after I ride it wasn't so scared now but it crazy.
The worst, save your money. No good rides and the service sucks
Great place for kids!! Love the water park is they keeping clean the restrooms lol more fantastic is they good can be more affordable
Very fun place to go, the rides were good, some were shut down while we were there so that was a bummer and then the last few hours we were there Superman broke down also oh well. Over all it was great to act like a teenage when your 35. It was really fun to hang out with bugs bunny too!
Good spot for local amusement. Many rides were closed but a good outing instead of Kings Dominion which is much further away and costlier.
They still have too many broken rides for the past 8 years. :( But it is great for a basic amusement park. I would recommend Kings Dominion or Busch Gardens.
Have to be honest, the one at St.louis beats this one, hands down. 3 of the coasters, broke down during our visit, and then 2 more were only running at half capacity. I can't say if it's a constant thing, but it was a waste of a vacation day for my wife, and I.
Edit: make that 4 breakdowns, as the wonder woman ride literally broke 5 minutes after I posted this.
Today was my first time ever going to Six Flags on Central Avenue in Maryland. The purchasing process for a season pass online is a joke, because they try to get you to purchase multiple passes. Then the process of purchasing tickets at one of two windows is slow and disrespectful to all customers standing in that heat to buy passes. They are extremely slow. To get to the ticket window and see Management Personnel standing inside only added to the frustrating process because they're doing nothing to speed up this whole process for the people suffering in the heat. They have no awning over the ticket window to protect patrons from the blazing sun,for real!!! After gaining entry and going to the men's restroom right inside the main entrance was a huge turn off because it was just a strong stench of urine inside the men's room. Also the Women's restroom right beside the stand where they sale Funnel Cake had an odor coming from. They need better day to day management out there, its ridiculous....
Food is ok and a little pricey. WARNING:ALOT OF BEES!!!! Rides are fun but the Mind Eraser is VERY bumpy and shaky. Wouldn t recommend staying during Fright Fest(usually in the month of October at night there are scary people, rides, houses, and etc.) with little ones.
Food and rides were just ok. Long lines rude staff and horrible attitude from management we won't be back. Our season pass of 4/5 for many years won't happen again. Bye six flags!
Went for a company event. Has more of a family outing vibe. I had a great time, despite not being that into theme parks, rides. Staff was friendly, helpful.
Lots of cool rollercoasters. Little queue during the week. Unfortunately, a train was in repair. Personnel work in slow motion. Water park also quite large with cool drop flaps slides.
Great time with family.
They need to let you bring lunch in after paying 76.00 for 1 tcket
Could have been better. They need to spend more on keeping the place clean and on employee training.
This place is very dangerous and there's barely no security and the police are not around
Its just like every other amusement park, except....... Sic flags rides break down like CrAzY!!!
Just visited the park on 9/22/18.
We have the membership- and decided to jump into a regular line since the membership line was way longer than all the other lines (they should make them for Platinum, Diamond members only).
Once in the park, a lot of the rides were closed, which was inconvenient. It was very small- not enough rides, compared to Six Flags in NJ.
The place needs to be updated!!
Only good thing was the parking- we got there early and got a decent parking spot. Didn t have to walk miles to get to the park entrance, like other Six Flags parks.
I feel like they got obee on me with this Superman Fake Gold Pass.
The kids loves the rides, there is something for all ages
Employees have no motivation. So slow it is ridiculous!!!
terrible customer service. None of the workers know how to serve people or just ring up a meal. Most I have experienced can't count change and always give me more items then I paid for. I have been here 4 times this season and last and it's the same awful service each time. All the food service areas and restrooms were disgusting. Nothing had been cleaned and none of the staff cared.
The people working there were not friendly and the wait for food was way to long. The rides were ok.
Six Flags America is very nice. When I first came here, I don't remember the name of it. Until I looked at some photos and I know it. Wild One is cool. Mind Eraser is an ear basher. ROAR! is rough. Joker's Jinx is the bomb! Superman is awesome! BatWing is great. Apocalypse is fantastic. I wish the park will have a Justice League dark ride, an Intamin Giga Coaster, more flat rides, more water slides, and an RMC makeover for ROAR!
Good place to go for a weekend family bonding went there for the frightfest and the zombies where scary but going out there is fun
Poor operations, no variety of roller coasters like other Six Flags or Cedar Fair parks.
This is like a decent place to keep the whole family happy for 1 day on each visit!!!
Overall it was a decent place. Took my family here in Saturday October 6. Some facilities, such as restrooms, were gross but thats to be expected at an amusement park. On the other hand there needs to be a dress code. Some of the clothes women and young ladies wore were wild. Staff were friendly and my kids loved this place.
The place is super great, bring extra clothes, sunscreen and buy a lot of water
The worst Six flags park I have ever been to.
Where do I began to explain my bad experience? :
First of all, the Food outlets were extremely crowded and they were VERY slow! Extremely dirty environment.
Second of all, there was frequent break-down in each ride and the maintenance team was all over the place and we ended up leaving the ride.
Will not
Me and my boyfriend had free tickets to come to the park so we figured why not enjoy the day at the park right? Well this was by far the worst amusement park experience we've ever had! We got to ride one roller coaster because every single roller coaster was closed for the whole day. We drove 3 hours and planned on having a nice day but we stayed at the park maybe 2 hours before leaving because it wasn't worth wasting our time. Not to mention how awful the staff is they never even check to see if you're buckled in we rode he Rajin Cajun and they never even checked to see if we were locked in we had to do it ourselves. I wouldn't recommend this park to anybody and we will never be back! This place is so run down and dirty it definitely needs some work.
Always fun.Food is good,we always get funnel cake, last night the funnel cake was awful ,full of grease.Terrible made my daughter in law, and myself sick.
Rude customer service the staff is reaterted and lazy .safety first one of the roller coasters track were shaking food not good . the only thing good is the pool but the thing wrong is it closes to early
I got stuck on a ride for 10 minutes my friend almost pied herselfnever again
Was about 75 and sunny out, a busy fall weekend and 3 of their best rides we're closed which made no sense.
The park is pretty good, but the ride employees have no sense of urgency. They move the coasters at half the rate they should reasonably and safely be able to. They chat with each other and stroll around slowly instead of checking seat belts and keeping the coasters moving.
Not a bad park, but not a great one either.
Roar: Good wooden coaster. Last time I rode this ride, I was on the front, by myself, and no one was with me. I had the whole ride to myself.
Mind Eraser: It's OK. It dosen't hurt as bad as before. My shoulders hurt a bit but is wasn't that bad.
Joker's Jinx: Third best ride at the park. Flight of Fear is better.
Wild One: This ride's getting rough. It is 100 years old now.
Superman: Second best ride at the park.
Batwing: Best ride at the park.
It's been awhile since I've ridden Apocalypse and Ragin Cajun, but this park isn't too bad. It's never really crowded and the ride selection is decent.
The park serves awful food. Everyone who ate in our group felt sick. The park is also messy. The bathrooms are poorly maintained. Go here if you're desperate for a roller coaster ride. Otherwise, skip it and go to kings dominion.
Be prepared to get SOAKED. Your entire body will be soaked after the first drop and that is guaranteed. Do not ride on a cold day as you will freeze. This ride also soaks all the bystanders. As for the drop, it's pretty fun.
Felt safe due to it being outdoors and a fall evening so it was not a normal crowd
Six Flags America is so much fun today I went with my family and everybody had so much fun
Great food and so much fun but it's very expensive.
There is no reason the line to get in should be longer than the lines to ride a ride. Getting into this park is poorly planned and downright absurd. Staff taked with greeting access directing guests were untrained and didn't even know if they had a bag free check in line....which they did. They actually have several dedicated lines for pass holders, general admission etc but none of it was being utilized making it a complete disaster. Once inside ride lines are rarely more than 15 minutes and the park is relatively clean. Food service staffing is poor at best. In one instance there was a line of 10-15 guests and there was only a cashier, the other staff including the manager disappeared for several minutes while the cashier that needed help looked helpless. Eventually they all came back saw they were busy and continued to move at a snails pace. Additionally I went to pay by credit card and went to use the touchscreen machine on the counter and it was filthy, sticky, crusty and appeared to have never been cleaned or wiped down. I'm disappointed I spent the money for season passes.
Really enjoyed the holiday in the park. It was cold but fun.
It would have been better. But I'm 6'5 and couldn't fit into a few of the roller coasters
Small attendance made entrance to all the rides and such quick and easy. A couple of rides were closed which was not really an inconvenience for us. The majority of snack spots were closed. Tried to purchase milk shakes, not available. Coke machines all unplugged. Dippin Dots, all closed. Midway games,.closed. The majority of the staff were very polite and helpful. At park closing, attempted to buy souvenirs for the children in our party. Candy shop personnel was very helpful and pleasant. The Gift shop clerk on mainstreet literally kicked out the door stop and closed the door in our face as we tried to enter the store. It was 7:05pm
Not great will never go on the weekend again I could barely get my drink simply refilled, weekday much better
Fun park, poorly maintained. Got stuck on top of batwing for what felt like a solid 30-45 minutes. Many of the employees in the drink stations were rude. Park needs a face lift (solid power washing of everything, repaint the rides, get better technicians, etc). Still managed to have fun though
Its very fun for kids of all ages and me being 13 i love to go there to meet up with friends and get on rides , like its open all seasons and thats what i love .
The experience was overall fine. Value for season tickets will be realized. Also the discounts in park make season tickets very worthwhile.
Not all rides were open so we will be going back soon... More than likely monthly.
The real pain of the day was the utilization of the "skip the line passes". We have them... Didn't use them. Not a very crowded day... However the feeling of having "your" next or near term seating "taken" by a group utilizing these passes was infuriating. Felt like the haves and have nots.
The difference between VIP experience vs skip the line passes is those passes actively effect others park experience. Not sure the added revenue for fix flags is worth the bitter taste in the masses mouths.
No theme park can make everyone 100% happy, but they sure do try hard! I'm a Disney girl, but Six Flags is even more welcoming of disabled and kids on the autism spectrum! Their ADA pass (with a letter from your doctor that you have an ADA disability) is amazing! My son gets a VIP stamp every visit and the ride operators truly treat him like a VIP!
If you have a season pass or membership, they add your ADA letter to your account so you only need one letter from your doctor. After such an amazing time and such wonderful treatment, we had to upgrade to Diamond with dining because we go every weekend now to one Six Flags or another because of how welcoming they are!
My only complaint is that getting your mugs refilled or getting dining can take a really long time! Expect half an hour wait for food or even a drink refill, or longer! The food was very high quality though, I was surprised for a theme park how much we enjoyed the food so I guess it was worth waiting for, though difficult with an autistic child who doesn't handle waiting and crowds well. I do wish this location had a building like New Jersey where you can easily and a bit more quickly get your membership mug refilled.
