Everything was closed and the park is beyond run down. The same as Fed ex field!
Everything was closed and the park is beyond run down. The same as Fed ex field!
Place was always kept clean.. about 3 of the rides aren't opened yet but the food was good, the rides were fun and there is always a staff close by..
Absolutely beautiful weather, staff was polite, and their Funnel cake... Was to die for.
Eh. I give it 3 stars. The employees are highly undertrained. They range from pleasant to incompetent to downright rude. Food is overpriced- but that's not unusual for a theme park. We bought season passes and have only gone twice. Kids seem to like it well enough though. Hours change seasonally. There are special Halloween and Holiday events.
Not many haunted attractions and closed at 9 but the website said 10. My girls still had fun however.
Offered a variety of rides for all ages and perfect for families with the smaller size compared to others because it decreases the chance of losing one another.
We have a membership. It doesn't get as much as we would like to but it helps with some things. My kids love the kiddie sections.
Fun as always!! Fireball was good just like the Apocalypse was just sitting down!!
Small when compared to other we have visited around the country. We also visited at the beginning of the season and the place was certainly not prepared for visitors yet. Quote a disappointment when compared to other parks we have visited in the past.
it took a while to get in and all that but it was worth it the rides were great! and the lines were not long good park!
Very disappointing, employees don t care, it s not worth the $.
Great rides, usually not too long of lines. Fun Halloween attractions too. They really need to work on their food service though. Decent enough options, but the service/staff/food quality is poor.
Update: My toddler loves Hurricane Harbor! Lots of fun water slides, splash pool, wave pool, lazy river. The water park made the season pass more than worth it this year. However... Every time I go, I somehow am still shocked at how hard the food services throughout the park is just horrendous. The Park leadership must set goals for inefficiency because you'd have to work to be so slow. I have honestly waited 15 minutes to get a free soda refill with only a handful of people in front of me (Also just getting a free refill). Worst amusement park food service I've ever experienced, and I have been to dozens of parks across the USA. Bar none. It's a real shame, because this park is so great otherwise.
It's finally open. After going to King's Dominion's Halloween Hunt for years, twenty thought we'd try Fright Fest. Guess what? They charge you EXTRA for the haunted houses. I paid for a season pass, went once for Christmas (most rides were closed), went once in the summer (they closed the park as soon as I got there) and once in the fall (most rides closed and the Fright Night attractions cost extra). Terrible park. The absolute worst.
They have a variety of rides, but they need better service in the food department
It was decent, I am used to parks that are bigger and have a lot more to offer on the west coast so there wasn't enough variety for the price for me. Part of that might have been because I visited during the holiday season when they have limited hours and rides anyways. The rides they do have are fun--but many of them (mostly the roller coasters) are quite jerky so beware if you have neck/back problems or don't like that kind of thing. Additionally, I would only go if you can get a discount--it's not worth the full 70 dollars for their holiday tickets given they don't have as much to offer--fortunately we got ours for about half price (just a little over).
I have a season pass, so I go as often as I can. Love the rollercoasters!
My only complaint on this day that i went was that the food that we ate was not nearly as good as other times during our dinner visits. Alot less effort was put into satisfaction of the customer. This is the frightfest season and they had good shows and decorations but again, the food being served should be better for events you are drawing in large crowds.
The place can be choas when it is full. The food is overpriced and not always good quality. The rides are fun and it is a good place for family and friends. Customer service needs a larger area to work with, lines can sometimes go out of the park itself for season passes, ticket verification, etc. Make sure to come early on the weekends, parking gets full fast.
Awesome the best! I loved it there and so did my family the food is sooooo yummy they have the best operations all the rides are fun and awesome the food quality is the best! They have the best service and staff !

I loved it , it was a blast. It was a little small compared to the others
Although the support staff was shorthanded today, those that were there put in the extra effort for the smaller rides (kid/toddler rides) to ensure a rotation between them. Wide ranging food selection as well, shorter lines than a weekend. Park was well decorated and maintained.
Six flags was a great time the shows, food, and rides was amazing.
Fun roller coaster rides and attractions! The food and games were a little overpriced, but that's to be expected I guess haha.
They need a different way to do the free drink refills, a dedicated line. Not mixed with everything that takes forever. Overall it was pretty great.
Had a great time but its definitely veryyy expensive n not 100 percent ...some of rides open some stores vendors open
Expensive, got in food lines just for them to tell u they only had 1 item on the menu left .. refill lines short and still not moving .. gotta yell in the back to get help because the workers keep walking past
This little park has some great roller coasters, however the staff at this location is horrible. Whether you're purchasing prepaid food or waiting to get on a rollercoaster there seems to be no sense of urgency, or bias for action from the staff. So if your plan on purchasing food during your visit, expect to wait, and to see a lot of staff sitting around doing nothing while you wait.
Good amusement park they got a good amount of thrill coaster's and normal rides depending on what you like but it's an amusement park so yeah.
Beautiful place to walk around with. Super fun family
Not ONE ride or table was sanitized while I was in the park. I saw not a single person holding a spray bottle during my entire visit .
It was alright the only issue was that there best atractted rides are almost alwAys closed
6ix flags is a place of amusement park .have fun .it has a place to eat and restaurant
Not as bad as I remember. Park was clean and rides were well controlled.
We went fathers day 2018, the line to get in was super long but that was expected. The lines for the rides were short with no wait so that was definitely appreciated. HOWEVER this particular park only gets two stars because the staff More
went on a rainy day and it was a great idea because there were no lines for anything! went on batwing three times, superman three times, mind eraser four times, and several other coasters multiple times. only complaint would be the food at the Johnny Rockets. burger wasn't that good, but the fries and onion rings were great.
Needs more shaded areas; bring hats, hand fans, sunglasses and fill up your drinks after every ride. One air conditioned spot in entire park. Has the usual rides. Must be at least 48 inches to go on rides with adults, very little "family" rides. Great deal for drinks and food offered. Be aware you will wait at least half an hour for any place with food and your dining pass cuts off at certain times. If you are in line waiting and haven't been able to get your order in before the clock strikes, you are out of luck!
Staffs aren't friendly... Had hard time finding informations and foods/shops are extremely pricey. But rides are great.
On busy days they need more then one ticket booth open also we came to get on the lazy river and it was closed that day but other then that great experience
Restrooms are very bad, some rids are old and safety considerations are not well considered, staff are friendly
Everything was great, wish employees were a little more enthusiastic though
Not bad super busy up until I left but everything went pretty well just 30min entrance lines...luckily we went mainly for the dry rides.
Rides are great, food service is trash. Expect lines that should take 5 minutes to take at least 45 when you want something tho eat. Ride waits are reasonable though
Clean and family friendly. Very, very nice water park area where rules for behavior and dress were enforced. Nice staff overall. Prices are a bit ridiculous and more shaded seating would be great. The shows are mediocre.
Scream fest was great but the flooded bathroom wasn't. Crew and staff did pretty well on the last night keeping atmosphere scarey yet friendly.
A perfect place to have fun and spend a spectacular day
Rides were great and all operating. Lines were not long (except Johnny Rockets - stood in line for over 45 min). Will return again before summer is over
No issues with the Park at all. They seem to have enough staffing everywhere they needed it. All the rides worked well. Lines weren't ridiculous. The only bad thing was waiting in line to get my season pass. It took over an hour.
Haven't been here since a kid but still got great memories
If you get the discount season pass this is a great park if you're local. Short drive from DC area with fun and interesting rides. Haven't had a problem with the ride operators, they all have seemed very nice. Definitely worth the season pass which grows in value in the summer when the water park opens.
Coming all the way from Australia and going to six flags America , paying $400 for tickets. We go on 1-2 rides then it starts to rain and we don t get a re fund ? You should change your rules to getting a refund especially in this situation.
Staff friendly and helpful. Park is not being run like a business though. Show times not available at kiosk. Customer Relations was helpful and printed info from web for us...but...performance times did not match only info available. Lunch for group was plentiful not tasty and was served only noon to one pm not 2pm as published on ticket. Servers would be in trouble if they gave out ice cream at 1:05 so missed that. Facilities need maintenance. Painting and roofing repairs. Bathrooms were clean and in good order. Not all rides running. Short lines maybe due to predicted rain. Funnel cake tasty and well done. Soda and bottle of water $4.50. Overall: nice staff. Poor management. Go only if you want rides or waterpark and to pay a lot for food.
We went here for the christmas town. We loved ut and will be returning next year.
Great place to visit with friends and family. Great value with a season's pass. Plenty for all to do. However, it does get crowded and the lines can be long.
the rides were fun but the attendants were bored out off their minds. they looked like they wanted to throw themselves under the roller coasters. their sour faces really were like a dark stain on a bright and sunny day. i took the bus and some were on it; i could tell by their shirts saying 6 flags on it. a whole bunch of them, black girls, were hooting and causing ruckus on the bus. when they got off, we had to cross a busy street. the girls played 'chicken' with the traffic. they taunted the drivers into running them over and once i was waiting for a water ride and the attendant said no! only 2 people! they are not single rider friendly. they need to hire better. i will never go again.
New rides coming, alot of rides not up and running yet. Overall fun for the kids
There was no wait for rides. Park was clean and staff were very helpful. Season pass is the way to go.
My significant other and I had a fantastic time! We are both quite chubby and we fit in the rides well! The flash passes were well worth it as it was a Sunday and there were numerous families and even charter buses full of students or camp attendees at the park. The water park closes about 2 hours earlier than the dry park so it's best to go there first or mid day. And the lockers are worth it too if you plan to change into dry clothes or have children with you. (You look after the kids near the water, someone could steal your stuff while you're not looking) Have fun!
I had a lot of fun with my family. Fright fest was great. The park had many scare zones and mazes. My favorite was The Haunting of Hall Manor. It was a spooky walk through the woods. I have a membership to six flags and I have to say that it is worth it.
I hated my visit at Six Flags America! Not only is it messy and has bad service, but this one ride, Batwing, is never open. And the one time that it was open, my friend and I got stuck on the ride! For an hour! We weren't told anything and only got one skip the line pass and some free water in return! What a joke. There are not a lot of good rides to choose from from both the waterpark and the amusement park alike. Whatever. We got the seasonal passes so we are going back, but only cause it's a waste of money if we dont.
Excellent rollercoaster park and then some. Plenty of fun for the whole family. The park was busy, yet it did not feel crowded and no long waits for all but one, a massive coaster that was well worth the 25 mins. Noticed a team working on what appeared to be a new addition of a "lazy river" type feature to the water park area of the theme park.
