I go here all of the time. Not one of the best six flags. But still one of the best six flags. Great food and attractions definitely go on the Superman. The staff are fun and love to joke around with the customers.

Think of being in the middle of Baltimore City, in the center of the hood, that's how six flags america is.
Dirty.
Ignorant Staff.
Broken rides.
Rides not open.
Too much money.
Ghetto.
Ghetto staff members. I'm unsure if they're racist, or if they give everybody an attitude. They seem miserable, and don't greet, or reply back to anybody.
I'll never bring my family to Six flags in Maryland again. NEVER. From a few years ago, to now, horrible. Something needs to be done. Hire people who enjoy talking, smiling, greeting others. Hire people that are fair, and will speak properly, say you're welcome when somebody thanks them.
Hire people who want the job. Evidently, most of these hoodrats don't.
Very ghetto.
Never again.

This year is our first with season passes, and despite visiting about six times, we have yet to encounter a member of the staff who looks like they want to work there. Half of them have no idea what they're doing, are rude, and act like you're wasting their time.

The park is relatively small for Six Flags, but that means you can pack a lot into one day at the park. It also means that, on days when they aren't running the "bring a friend for free" promotion, lines are reasonable.

Word of caution for those buying food at the park: a lot of the folks working behind the counters do not know what menu they're serving. I've had to argue with staff members to get everything included in my meals, even though it's clearly posted on the menu.

We keep returning to this park because the water park is reasonable, and there aren't many options in the area. All in all, it's a decent park, so long as you don't expect stellar customer service.

It was the worst entertainment experience of my life. Upon entering the park, I witnessed people fighting. I have a Season Pass and I was supposed to receive lunch, dinner and a snack. The person at the gate tried to scan my badge but it didn't work, so the girl at the snack stand wanted me to go back to the front gate to have my pass scanned, just to get my snack. I waited in line for one hour to hear the counter help tell me I could not get a snack because my Season Pass didn't work. Then I waited in line for another hour to get dinner. I asked five or six Associates where a particular section of the park was and they were unable to help me, (uninformed staff). People were fighting, cursing, and arguing all over the park. My sons encountered two groups of people line jumping to get on the rides. Upon exiting the park I was unable to directly access my car because a crime scene was taped off and my family and I had to walk several feet around it. Not a good experience at all.

The best part is that the lines are not too long on most times. This is the 2nd consecutive season I ve had a season pass and the batwing is still closed. The new firebird roller coaster is not really new as it is existing track for a past roller coaster, they just changed the seating from a standing form to sitting.

Overall a ok park . But does need to be brought up to a higher standard like new jersey. Unfortunately six flags won't make any real investments . Park isn't laid out the best . People are friendly, they really need spruce up and theme better . The park only seems to get retired attractions from other parks .

We bought tickets before the Covid outbreak in march for a trip we planned in July. Because of the lock down in our country we couldn t travel and also it s so uncertain to travel with a 75 year old parent (which also has a ticket for the park) Obviously we started to put on hold/extend everything we planned for this trip, Hershey Park is giving more than one year of ticket validation, and airlines are providing an expiration extension until 2022. Hotels gave us refunds and everything was well handled. SIX Flags is the only one giving extension till the end of this year. What a shame, should have done more for you customers.

Great park potential. Many rides were inoperable due to repair. Most of the young staff seem uninspired, but friendly for the most part. The restaurants and indoor dining areas can use a deep cleaning and working AC for hot days.
As for the rides, they serve their thrill ride purpose. Although the safery restraints were pushed down on me to the point of pain and it hurt me through most of the ride, Superman was the best coaster.

They did not do a very good job of enforcing COVID restrictions. WAY too many people were let in and some ride lines had no form of social distancing. At one point, we felt so unsafe that we eventually left. Bathrooms were gross, tables were sticky. The only thing they did right was requiring masks and putting up hand sanitizer stations. They had a good selection of rides and attractions, so I would probably go again once COVID dies down or on a weekday, Would NOT go again on a Saturday for a while unless they figure out a better system.

It's ok. Could have been better. We paid for a cabana and the lady that was in charge was super helpful and nice. However, when we decided to carry our huge floats to do the lazy river, it was closed due to some technicalities. The staff at the cabana was not aware of the situation because they were the ones that encouraged us to try out the lazy river. Other staff members weren't aware of it either when we asked them for direction to the lazy river. Well, the rides are ok. There are enough rides for kids. Some of the water rides are fun but carrying the draft up the stairs were a nightmare! Not coming back.

I wanted desperately to enjoy our visit. Things were going well until the locker system went down. They made us all just stand around for THREE HOURS, a good portion of which was standing in direct sunlight. None of us had wallets, so we couldn't even get food or drink. Management changed the story they gave a number of times. And in the end no one apologized! It was one of the most disgusting lacks of management and customer service I've seen in years. Today I'm burned and exhausted. Never give these people your money.

Lines were short. Man of Steel ride is really fun. Few rides were open at the start of the day. Waterpark has a lot for kids of all ages. Park as a whole was not as clean as it should be. Conveniently out of the lower-priced drink containers at all food service stations and they would not discount the others.

Disappointed for the most part it has been a few years since I've been here. A little confusing when entering with a voucher rather than a season pass. There was staff available to help at least. No water rides in the main part of park in operation I guess with the waterpark open that should be expected. Several rollercoasters were not running although judging by the parking they had a good crowd this day. Waiting to get food was miserable at 2 locations Good Rush and Heritage House. So I went for the crazy horse saloon. The line wasn't long but there was only one cashier working so this held up the line for the most part. Staff was courteous given the circumstances. I had the BBQ sampler and I liked the quality of the food. Had I downloaded the app I may have been able to save time walking back to rollercoasters that we're not running. I understand the need for a crowd to open some attractions. Or it would be nice to have available times for some attractions. Other amusement parks in Virginia are a little better all around but I thought I would see if things changed since this park is closer to me. They have not improved enough for me to get a season pass.

While there are some things worth complaining about (always out of the food we want, strange attitudes from some of the teen employees, nasty bathrooms), it's an amusement park. There's only so much to be expected. That said, the park is clean overall, most employees are always kind, and there's plenty to do for all ages. Lots of benches are spread throughout the park, and the different themes for the holidays make it fun to visit in any season. We enjoy ourselves with every visit. The membership and meal plan has been great for my family.

Most of the coasters are pretty boring. Lasso of truth, roar and the superman rides were the only ones that were really fun. The dispatch times for many rides can be improved upon. I will also say the majority of employees are not very helpful when it comes to directions or park rules. Many employees have an exhausted, unpleasant attitude that I can fully understand but is something that should be improved. I'd also say the dress code was hypocritical. I saw plenty of people wearing shirts with profanity and sexual imagery (something that is againt the rules) yet they were let in. Whil my friend wearing a sheer top over a swimsuit top was told to cover up. If you're a woman, especially young, even if you're just going to the water park, you need to cover up or you may not be let in. So bring spare clothes! The only real positive side I got to see of employees was when I got separated from my group, security was helpful and concerned even if they were nearly done with their shifts and wanted to go home. If you're gonna go here and you don't have kids that'll have fun with the kiddy rides and attractions, its best to go to the water park and only bother with few coasters.

I wouldn't call it six flags america, more like about 4.5 flags america. The watermark is nice, and the rides are good, theres just not a lot of them. And as far as six flags go, this isn't the best one by far.

The reason why you get 1 star is because i had to give you something.
My family and i went to the water park had a nice time, what turned us off is we are gold pass members and we went to our car for a bit and as we was leaving we asked for a return stamp to reenter. The man at the gate didn't inform us that they was closing the gate within 30 minutes. So when we tried ti renter the gates were locked.
It would have been nice if a little common courtesy was used. Just a little we will be closing the gates in 30 minutes.
So this ruined the day for us and our out of town guess

Not the best of Six Flags parks, but we still had lots of fun. It's clean... staff is relatively friendly and professional. The Fright Fest actors were committed and looked very much like they were into what they were doing. Also, my wife lost her cellphone... We def thought it was gone forever. Nope! When we got home at around 11:30pm, I received a call from her phone made by an employee in Lost and Found letting me know the phone was turned in (my number is in emergency contact). That's some awesome service right there!

Absolutely love the place! I go every single year with my family to Muslim Family Day with the ICNA foundation and it is the most looked forward event in my whole year. The staff are very responsible and kind and the rides are almost always all open! (except this September we went and one of our favorite rides was closed but no biggie) also the sunset and golden hour are absolutely beautiful in the park.

Usually a very good park. However tonight not the case. I have visited every weekend scene they had reopen in 2020 after being shut down from covid. They have done an outstanding job following safety measures, but tonight not so much. Walking around it was shoulder to shoulder. Shows were by all means not social distancing. They were not enforcing the no food in shows rule. We had to tell serveal guards before they finally took are names and file a complaint. Very bad experience.

Good as long as you dont pay full price. Lines for rides were good and better than expected for our visit on a Saturday in July. Quite a few rides were closed all day some periodically throught out the day from them "breaking", also others didnt open unless at certain times in the day. Lines for food were horendious just because of people getting drink refills and not food, there wasnt enough separate accommodation for only drink refills. There were no shows or events on a Saturday which was supprising. Rides that felt missing were: haunted house, true bumper cars, any indoor ride either rollorcoster nor shooting one.

Overall a general lack of theme of park just felt like a collection of rides and didnt seem to have that "amusement park; I'm in a diffrent world feel."

Favorite ride and last was the batwing in the back. Was the longest wait but was completly worth it.

Called in a Tuesday evening mid August to try knock some value out the season pass I bought a year ago pre COVID!

The Good

- Quietest I ve ever seen the park. Literally no lines or wait times, just rock up and ride

- Mask compliance amongst employees was 100% from what I could see & there are multiple sanitizing stations and signage throughout the park

- Cleanest I ve ever seen the park, though I suspect the lighter crowds make this easier

The Not So Good

- Mask compliance amongst patrons is very hit or miss and is not enforced by staff from what I can see (and hey, if I was a kid on minimum wage I wouldn t fancy getting into an argument over it)

- They re only running 1 car per ride, so whilst not a problem when it s quiet, I imagine the wait times go up exponentially when it s busy. One of the ride operators mentioned it s way busier at the weekends

- In terms of food I think they re heavily managing waste here so don t expect anything that s even close to being fresh post 4pm, the heat lamp buffet awaits later eaters. Worth noting all the bars looked closed to me as I wandered around too, always partial to a hurricane in Mardi Gras so that was disappointing.

Overall I d grade Six Flags efforts in COVID a B, good but not great.

they constantly running out of food ingredients, there's always something with a certain ride being down or closed. all of a sudden they have bogus rules that certain rides you have to ride with 2 people (some new rule) smh. Even with my Membership waste, I be chilling at Kings Dominion, the problems they have there are a child's play compared to sixflags..or as they say Ghetto flags. This place has generally gone down hill. I rather give it no stars.

It's a nice place to visit, but a bit run down. Attendance is low so there are no lines for rides. There are a lot of kids rides, BUT beware of the train, while riding a piece of the ceiling fell on my young son rusty nails and all. We got really luck he didn't get hurt. Staff didn't seem to care. It is a nice park but the staff really are not friendly, and it could use some updates.
