It's a wild experience in a place where you see animals you don't commonly see in the neighborhood areas or street. Feeding the animals was so pleasant especially feeding the cute goats. Best part is most exhibits are air conditioned. It would be better if only Inuka our polar bear is there. But there is a memorial time line of him. Worth another visit!!!

A well organised zoo with plenty to see and do. They offer talks and picture opportunitys at various times throughout the day as well as chances to watch the animals be fed. You can purchase separate the chance to hand feed giraffes and elephants for a mere S$5 each.

Love this zoo, and we like to rent the buggy for our child. We like the interactive shows, and the animal feeding sessions. Our favorite was the white tigers exhibit and the giraffe feeding session.

If you area a animal and nature lover then you would surely love this place. There is tram which takes around the place and has stops in between where you can get down and see the attractions on foot up and close. They also have a few shows which are quite popular. Do plan keeping the weather in mind though

You have all the animals you see rarely in any zoo such as white tiger, zebra, giraffe, snake fish, African penguins, alligator , black cobra which is almost half a km long( that's what I felt) , rare types of turtles, orangutans, different types of monkeys, white rhinocerous and many more to add to the list. In addition to these they are promoting good things like plastic usage reduction, garbage disposal in seas with the help of animals in most pleasing, convincing and heart touching ways. This is what makes Singapore zoo get 5stars, honestly it deserves more than that. If you happen to go to Singapore any time don't miss this..

Do not miss this if you're ever in Singapore!

Do not miss this if you're ever in Singapore!

One of the largest and best maintained zoo in the world. It has many different exhibits housing many species of animals from all over the world. By foot, it would take more than 4 hours to explore the entire zoo - and that is if you're quick-footed. For most people, a minimum of 6 hours is needed if exploring by foot. There are tigers, white tigers, lions, giraffes, elephants, rhinoceroes, hippopotamus, hyenas, pandas, orangutans, and the list goes on.

There is used to be polar bears but they have all since died :( However, there are still many interesting animals to grab your attention. There are shows scheduled daily, and a variety of dining options.

I would highly recommend that you ourchase the multiple attraction pass for at least the zoo, river safari, and night safari. Don't give this a miss and you're in for a real treat!

Queues are short and staff is very nice. KFC in Kidzworld were very full and pretty dirty. The Shuttle from Khatib MRT station was 10 min late. Animal cages are very nice and you can watch when they feed the animals. Also for couple dollars you can feed them by your self.

This is probably one of the best zoos I've ever seen: you'll see a huge variety of wildlife that few people ever see, ranging from white tigers to penguins to sumaratan organutan. The ambience is also perfect, it's like taking a walk through nature itself.

This is a bit of a difficult one to rate. Visited yesterday with little one. Generally a good layout and well signposted. Took a buggy as wanted to walk around the park and not take the tram. (This is available at a top up price, you can hop on/off at each of the stops).
A large amount of animals, from small reptiles to the bigger animals in the wild. Without knowing the history of the animals it s hard to say if some of the behaviour they were exhibiting was from previous circumstances (e.g rescued from circus etc) or if it comes from living in the zoo? Some of the areas seen look very small for the size/requirements of the animals e.g elephants (pacing and swaying behaviour, very little natural movement, not much space for them to go) Cheetahs pacing up and down against the glass; giraffes pacing.... I m no animal expert but this is the type of behaviour that we re told is due to stress. Whilst I am 100%for conservation and protection of animals, I m not 100% comfortable seeing them in such a small space. It would be lovely to think/see that bigger enclosures/housing is offered. They are promoting conservation so it would be nice to think the animals are treated with this in mind.

Eating areas... quite a bit on offer however, pretty rubbish food, all pre-cooked so cold and inedible. Would suggest taking picnic/own food.
Lots of water stops available along the way to refill water bottles.
Take swim stuff for little ones as there s a children s splash park/changing area etc.
Toilets dotted throughout.

Overall, an ok day out with plenty to see and do.

Amazing Zoo with a huge variety of wildlife - one of the top 3 zoos in the world. For a day, we've managed to visit the zoo without the 2 additional attractions - river and night safari. The staff really take care of and respect the animals - everywhere is super clean and there is no bad smell. You can buy tickets directly through their website if you want to save some money. The best time to visit is in the morning or in the evening. I definitely recommend this place to everyone who travels to Singapore.

A tourist mainstay for Singapore, but for locals too! One of the few zoos you can go to where it doesn't feel like a zoo, more like a nature reserve. The park is designed for families, with plenty of amenities for young children. Expect even better things as the area around the zoo is undergoing upgrading.

Pro tip: if you're gonna grab a bite, the food options are better outside the main entrance than inside the zoo itself.

Great experience for the family, especially those with young kids! The open concept of the zoo is especially appealing as it allows the kids to appreciate the animals in a more natural setting. Plenty of local food options available too.

The last time I visited the zoo was 14 years ago. They have laid everything out in a more clinical way. Shame the Polar Bear passed away it was one of the best things to see besides the 2 white tigers. Much better stops to have a cool drink or some food as you travel arround. No discount for pensioners if you are not a Singaporian.

Love the zoo. Gone there countless times but still goes there. Great time to visit the zoo now. There are no crowds now. The animals are less stress with fewer human ogling them. I have never seen this happy before in my so many years visiting the zoo.

The most comfortable and convinient zoo to take kids with you. The place is big. But their food store options for dining are too few. The place are crowded when it s lunch time.. you will hardly have a seat, even on low season in the weekday. Other than that, this zoo is amazing, the provide cooler zone too if you feel too hot outside

Nice! Everything is within walking distance, there are trams to take (SGD 5). Kids water park was fun for the kids. Plenty of food and great shows. It rained when we went, but wasn't that bad. I've never seen komodo dragon or a pygmy hippo, so, I'm a happy boy!

Great place where you can enjoy multiple activities from the zoo, to the river safari & night safari. Can see different species of animals some of which are endangered species as well as enjoy different ecosystems specially designed for the animals. Beautiful place and lots to do.

The Singapore Zoo is easy to navigate and very use...

The Singapore Zoo is easy to navigate and very user friendly. There are clearly demarcated routes and areas which the animals are grouped into by the species or the areas they live in. There is a teeny weeny bit of a smell, but it adds to overall experience. After all, you can t be having someone cleaning up after the animals constantly or toilet training the animals.

There are shelters along the way in case there is a sudden downpour. There are also sufficient toilets and small kiosks or vending machines. But best to bring your own drinks as they are priced about 30 percent to what you will see in vending machines outside of the zoo.

There are 2 areas for shows and these shows are very entertaining and interactive. Young kids especially will enjoy them. But try not to see in the front row unless you fancy a mini shower.

The highlight is a water play park near the children s petting zoo. It has a huge structure and a huge gush of water will rain down at specific periods. Children and many adults like to wait below the area for that downpour. There is also a toddler area for the wee lens or those who prefer to get their feet wet. There are changing areas in the water playground and a KFC in case you are feeling hungry or in need of a cool me down treat.

There is an obstacle course just outside the water play area, which allows the children to try their hand at a safe and non threatening circuit. But the tickets need to be purchased separately.

Although the animals exhibits are the same, except for the special themed exhibit, you will learn new things each time you are there. All in all, we enjoyed ourselves at the Zoo and would be back soon.

It's a worth place to visit while you are in Singapore. The attraction play of the animals, various number of animals, and great service and facilities are the main plus points from this place. It will be even better if there is SMRT lines connects directly to this place.

I havent been at the zoo for 10 years or so, and I feel that the zoo does an amazing job at engaging the people with the awesome seal shows, elephant shows and feeding sessions with the Primates. Although prices for can drinks and food is terribly expensive so I advice people to bring their own food and drinks.

What can I say about the Singapore Zoo. Easily the best zoo I've ever been too, wonderfully layed out, plenty of attractions and shows to keep you busy throughout the entire day. Set on a reservoir provides very scenic views, the enclosures themselves are very open and it seems more natural for the animals. Definitely recommend spending an entire day here to make the most of it.

One of three zoo attraction in Singapore. The place is so big and has many type of animals. You can use the tram if you feel tired. It also have a food court and restaurant inside the place. Recently, they have a new park from Game of Thrones. You should get a reminder if you want to watch all the show in here. Overall, it is a great place for family vacation.

While not as impressive as it seemed to me 14 years ago (the lack of space some animals have is a little sad) this is still a really great zoo. It's in a beautiful setting with a wonderful range of animals, including some that roam freely around the grounds. The kids water play area is also terrific for the little ones, so bring swimsuits.

Nature and animal lovers. It's a treat for you to watch animals in their natural habitat.
Please enjoy every bit of it.
Don't go in peak season. See the month where it is less crowded and so you can enjoy tram rides and view nature and animals. As it is a huge area to just walk by.

Singapore Zoo is certainly one of the finest habitat for primates across the world.

Starting with a breakfast with Orangutan, watching breathtaking Elephant's shows, walking past the white tigers, and Kangaroos.

Once you feel tired, take a tram ride from any of the four stops. Feel hungry, head towards the food court - where you will find various Asian and Western delicacies.

Later, you can take an idyllic boat ride across the Mandai soaking at the nature's Park viewty.

Finally, we you still craving for more, wait for the dusk for an amazing 'Night Safari'.

Coming from a non tropical region, one thing that astounded me was the variety of flora and fauna you see in this zoo.

One needs a good day of exploring this collection of animals. Tickets are easy to purchase at the counter and the paths are easy to follow. If the heat is a bit too much for you, there is a little golf cart type bus taking tourists and you can buy passes for it anywhere.

There are feeding times for the primates and elephants, etc so if you keep the map with you you can make sure to get to them in time.

There are vending machines that provide fresh squeezed orange juice which is an exciting thing to see by itself.

The butterfly and bird part of the zoo is a must see. Unfortunately a lot of the predators might be lazy if the weather is too hot.

Public Transportation wise it s a bit tricky as the buses here are in a closed loop till the MRT and the tickets are sold at the Zoo counter. We struggled a bit to understand where to buy the tickets initially. Lots of cabs available here though.

Install the Grab application and get a tourist pass for local transportation for an easier time in Singapore.

Really great zoo. So much to see and to do. It is quite a journey for the centre of Singapore but it is worth the visit. The price is quite high, and the food/drink is also priced very highly.
