Go see the Hunchback of Notre Dame, this is a production you don't want to miss. It felt like we were at a Broadway theatre and the cast had been putting this show on for weeks, not days. Marissa Leenaarts, Ed Ridley, Jason Smith and rest of the creative team knew how to put together a spectacular cast, and they got all the actors to give the performance that when the intermission and then the end came, you could here the people around us saying "WOW". Tony Heffner played Quasimodo with skill and sang his songs and you really felt that he was Quasimodo in some past life. Thomas Baumgardner had to feal thrilled with his performance, I know that he was perfectly cast for the role of Frollo. And then came Brooke Lytton, as Esmeralda, she captured our hearts in seconds, especially when she sang duets with Quasimodo and Phoebus Du Marin, played by one of our favorite Weathervane stars, Jonathan Merechant. We have watched Jonathan play starring roles for years, and the experience from those many roles was evident in the performance he gave us today. Keep expanding Johnathan, can't wait to see you on the big screen some day! As far as the rest of the cast, All I have to say is "WOW!".

One of the more spacious and welcoming lobbys around for a playhouse. The actors, actresses and performance in general was better than expected. Nice intermediate size Auditorium so all the seats are good. Nice location for the theater with restaurants in the area for pre or post performance food and drinks.

They have Broadway and off-Broadway shows at affordable prices. They offer tickets packages, which have been gifted to me by my family a couple times. It's so much easier to get in and out of here than the theaters in downtown Cleveland. They have a large theater with only 12 rows, so even in the back you are still close to the action. Their smaller theater makes you feel like you are part of the show. I volunteered here too, which helped me learn about running the spotlight and other things that go on behind the scenes. This is an awesome little theater!

Went to WeatherVane theater today to see annie. Found out that the seats we purchased were actually next to the sound booth. There is no sound booth on the map when you purchase tickets or I would not have purchased the tickets. I had to listen to the south booth guy talking on his headphone throughout the play. and than had the pleasure of having him yell at my nine yr old daughter because she crinkled her candy too loud. I will NEVER go back there. If you do go there, make sure you sit center or to the right. You don't want to be sitting next to the sound booth, trust me.

We had 35 minutes before catching The Rock Opera Tommy across the street. Our waiters name was Colin. We explained our dilemma and were served beer and the most AMAZING appetizer trio in time to catch the Introduction! This place must have an amazing staff as the bar was packed and no booths were available! They were ALL hustling!

We we're at Joseph and the Techicolour Dream Coat and it was a wonderful production!! All of the help and staff were most helpful and the facilities are neat, clean, and top notch!! The children and all of the singers and actors were great and it was obvious that they practiced many times and had to for being this good. A gem and worth a visit!!!

Went to see grandson in play. Rather disorganized seating a disaster. Play was good, but no programs. Not the normal live theater regarding front office.
We went to the performance on Tuesday morning 11/26/19. We had tickets set aside at will call supposedly.
Our grandson was in the support cast from a stow grade school. The cast and play were fine seating was the problem plus no programs. My wife and her friends are going today. I hope they would have programs then.
You may want to post more signage about the theater being equipped with a hearing loop.

This is my absolute favorite theater in Northeast Ohio. Whether I'm volunteering for a show or just sitting in the audience, I love being there. The staff is wonderful, their army of volunteers is incredibly dedicated, the building is gorgeous and well maintained, and the production quality is top notch. I am extremely proud that Weathervane is part of my community.

The show was very good - Saw the Hunchback of Notre Dame. I had never seen the Hunchback of Notre Dame before and I was easily able to follow the plot. I could understand most characters (minus a couple of mixing issues, but that's hard to get around in theater, and it wasn't more agregrious than any other playhouse in the area). Not that expensive either. They have drinks and concessions. The hours flew by watching, very passionate performance.

This is a hidden gem in the Akron area. I was expecting "high school quality" production and execution. I just saw A Christmas Carol and it was super, first class all round. I plan to see at 4 or 5 production there in 2018.

The best theater in Ohio, hands down (besides the astounding Playhouse Square)! I like to watch performances, especially musicals, so I travel to different theaters in Ohio, and this one is simply spectacular! I regularly go to each summer production, the young actors one, and so far I have seen R&H's Cinderella, Annie, Honk, and Wizard of Oz. The costumes were exquisite and well designed every time, so meaningful and breathtaking. The actors and actresses are so talented; Weathervane does a grand job for casting, all of them can sing, dance and act very well! My favorite musical I saw in the summer had to be Wizard of Oz. It was radiant, the principal characters were stunning, definitely going places, and the ensembles were great, moving the scenes along with their fun reactions, movements, and singing. The choreography was divine. Everyone in Ohio should get to see a Weathervane show! I'm looking forward to seeing the summer one this year, along with Oklahoma!, the musical that's going on closer to summer!

This place lives under a rock. No racial diversity, if you walk in as a minority it's like they saw a ghost. Was constantly referred to go to other theatres, asked why, where, who was I looking for, it was like we stepped into the 60's. In Merriman Valley!

I just went here for a play and it was amazing. The quality of the entire place was highly professional. The theater itself is clean and spacious. If you want to go to a Broadway show but cannot afford it go to this playhouse.
