This is a tale of 2 Silverwoods...

This is a tale of 2 Silverwoods...

I'll start with the good. The waterpark is a lot of fun. There are a ton of slides to do and 2 different wave pools to have fun in. Throw in a lazy river and lots of places to park your gear and it is a great way to spend a day.

The amusement park on the other hand...

The amusement park is meh. The roller coasters only run 1 set of cars, so the wait time is elongated because of that. Plus, there is no way of knowing how long the wait will be once you get in line.

When I went (end of August) there were only 2 people tending to the rides and it usually took longer to do all the safety checks than you spent on the ride itself. There wasn't any direction when you got to the front of the line to keep things flowing. It was a free for all that some times slowed the line more than it should have.

If you drew a line with county fair on one end and Disneyland on the other this would be about a third of the way between the two. There is a lot of potential there but whether it was towards the end of the season or that's just how it is there it leaves a lot to be desired. The rides are fun once you get to them. But they aren't so much fun that they singlehandedly.

If you go. Go have fun at the waterpark and have low expectations for the amusement park.

Silverwood Theme Park is an interesting but atypical theme park in Idaho. Overpriced.. everything, good attractions, enjoyable magic show, "as if decided in a after thought" themed concessions and souvenirs. Desire for nostalgia satisfied, but poorly designed park maps, underwhelming and underpaid staff, nature secluded cabanas that cripples "people watching" "ride watching" "kid watching" among other reasons people would rent this "add on". Qualifies, to me anyway, a two star drop.

I take my family here every year. I have been going to Silverwood since I was a kid, only had Corkscrew back then. It's grown so much and can't wait to see more! Love the staff and the experience, season tickets are worth it for the locals!

Had a blast! :D Recommend it to anybody who wants a good time riding roller coasters and some awesome water slides. Plenty of things to do there, and all the staff were very polite.
(The aftershock is cool)

This place is nothing short of amazing- Silverwood is a Pacific Northwest gem, bringing families closer together with fun and experience.

This is our second time here this summer - we came for one day in July and quickly realized that we would have to come back again to fully enjoy the park.

One day for the dry side and one day for the wet side is the best advice anyone can get.

The food is great, it is not that standard fair food- it is dine in quality in the buildings. I do wish there were more vegetarian options, but I see that they added a beyond burger recently, so that helps a lot!

The lines are moderate- as the rides are so much fun, so be sure to bring a backpack with water.

The owner of this park has created a whimsical escape that every family should consider. Silverwood has just become an annual trip for our family.

Come and enjoy!

Favorite theme park! I ve been here many times boulder beach is where I spend most of my time during the day than I hit the theme park later in the day when the lines have gotten smaller. Also my tradition is to always get a big ol cotton candy ice cream waffle cone

Our family loves Silverwood! Their Reading is the Ticket program makes it an affordable experience for most every family in the area. We are so thankful that they continue to offer this to families and it is a great way to encourage literacy in the community.

I honestly don't know where to start about my family's trip to silver wood. We met employees of the park who were of both extremes some very nice others well not so much. Day one we walk into the park and ask the first ride attendant where do we go to get a handicapped pass (my mother is extremely I'll with several different illnesses) he says at the ticket stands but you have to be in a wheelchair. So we go there and they then say no not us that is inside the park from general information so we go there get the pass and attempt to go on the train ride first and are told that there will be seats saved for us at specific time x so we go look around and ride 1 other ride while waiting. We return at time x and are informed that the ride is full oh well to bad so sad. Well that continues as we go through the park and we are told to return only to be told return in 40+ minutes again so we end up having been on only 1 ride day 1. Day 2 from 11 am to 7 pm we managed 6 rides having been told the same thing over and over again by employees. Well end of day rolls around we try to fit one more ride in however the ride operator informs us that the ride is closed even though 4 people were just allowed on the ride suffice it to say it was very disappointing in total and it felt like my mother was discriminated against to those who are handicapped make sure to print your ada act rights before going here. I will be contacting Idaho better business bureau and go from there updates to come.

For families it's an excellent water park for a land locked state. Theme park is well spaced out. Parking is good. Just a short walk to the entrance. Service at the Victorian coffee house lacked alot but the train ride was A1. Souvenirs were VERY reasonable compared to Disneyland or Universal. More accommodation options are needed close by. We stayed at the Marriott in Coeur D'Alene 20 mins away because we couldn't find decent lodgings nearby. Overall it's worth the visit. You WILL leave happy. Or at least the kids will.

It has been a long time since I have been to Silverwood, and my return did not disappoint. The grounds were clean, updated and beautiful plants and greenery displayed throughout.

Staff members all practiced safety standards and wore masks. They were also very helpful and willing to help whenever you needed them.

It will definitely be sooner then later for our next visit.

Theme park was ok at best. Too many high school employees. Over priced games to try and win a stuffed animal. The young kids section was good as the operators for those games were on top of it.

This place has a great selection of rides and activities. Unfortunately it gets so over crowded that the lines to get in a ride are too long and the water park doesn't provide enough shade. The staff is always friendly, the bathrooms are clean, (one toilette sprays all over when other toilets are flushed, YIKES). The magic show theater used to have AC, but was also too hot, and the show needs some help, maybe the actors are over heated and unable to perform their best, you could see the assistant climbing up from the floor in order to "re-appear" from the past.

As always, it was great!!! Lots of fun and many new things to do. I love going there and seeing all of the happy people... Well done Silverwood, another fine time was received. Well worth the time and money. I feel like a kid again, and I'm in my late 60's. Thanks for the great time. We are lucky to have you so close... Judy

Silverwood is awesome.

Silverwood is awesome.
They have amazing rides & rollercoasters, and good food.
It is a bit expensive, but it is definitely worth the price.
If you are going, you should go for at least 2 days, if you want to get to all the rides.
They have the best rollercoasters out of any theme park I have been to so far!
Have fun.

Saturday me and a group of friends went there after not going for 5 years. We got there at open, and left at close. Made it on 2 slides, and 2 roller coasters. We spent the majority of the day in lines, and not just ride lines food lines. I cant understand why they would be so under staffed, and hire such young kids to work there. It took a guy 25 minutes to make 1 ice cream cone, you had 1 person in food stands and it took 1 hour just to get a drink. We spent 2 hours in line for gas station nachos, and kids working there that moved as slow as my 4 year old would of been. Word to the wise stop being cheap, hire more staff and people may actually get to go on more rides, and enjoy them selves more. I cant see how those people there this weekend had 5 star reviews they were lying.
