Part 2 of Kimmy Wada's Wedding Review:

Part 2 of Kimmy Wada's Wedding Review:

Another major selling point was having 15 acres of property to spread out on, so we did not have to limit our guest list. We were even able to invite new friends that we had made within a few months of our wedding! Additionally, Ivy League Day Camp lent itself to some remarkably creative and fun wedding photos. After the food was eaten, the kegs were tapped out, and the sun was going down, the party was moved inside, seamlessly. Everything was set up for us to cut our cake, have a dance party, and play basketball. The other John even set up a bounce house (with an inflatable slide), which we did not even ask for, but it was a huge hit! Kids and adults alike had a grand old time bouncing around in there. It felt like the party just didn t stop! It was almost like an after-party. We would like to genuinely thank the janitorial/maintenance crew who worked at least 12 hours following our party around, keeping everything clean, and setting up and breaking everything down. We would like to thank the amusement staff, vendors, Holiday Picnics, Jonathan and Evan Leiser, John Silva, who supervised the event, and everyone else at Ivy League Day Camp who worked incredibly hard to make all of our wishes a reality! Jonathan Leiser was like our fairy godfather, making all of our dreams come true! We cannot say enough good things about this man. You can tell how much he loves the camp and seeing people enjoy its many amenities. Thank you, Ivy League Day Camp, for housing our BEST DAY EVER! A year later, all of our friends and family still cannot stop talking about how epic our wedding was! All of the guests with children said that we ruined weddings for kids now, because they expect every wedding to have rides, water slides, and cotton candy! We could not imagine having our wedding anywhere else. Despite how much we have written, there are still not enough words to convey how phenomenal our wedding day was and how grateful we are to the staff of Ivy League Day Camp. We highly recommend this place for everyone for any occasion! Ivy League Day Camp will forever hold a special place in our hearts.

I attended this Summer Camp back in 1996 and I do not mean to brag but this camp beats sitting in your backyard all summer. I attended the Pee-Wee traveling camp and Club Getaway in Connecticut was fantastic. I was only 13 years old and my mother really exceeded my expectations sending me this summer camp.
We did a lot of traveling we were not in the camp a lot but there was eight swimming pools for the younger campers to enjoy along with lots of activities. I know the prices seem kind of steep but, can you really put a price tag on your child summer entertainment?

My son was constantly complaining that he was thirsty, the counselors weren't attentive to their needs at all. Later , unfortunately too late, I found out that the head counselor, supposedly an adult, as well as one of the junior counselors called my son names like "tard" (like retard), which I think is highly inappropriate and shows the lack of education and respect that the counselors have. The camp needs to monitor their counselors closer. The grounds are great but with the experience that we had definitely not worth the large amount of money that we paid.

Good

Not a place to host an event!!!

Not a place to host an event!!!

This may be a good camp for your child but avoid this venue if planning a large party or event. I booked an event two years in advance and paid a deposit and a YEAR later they decided they didn't want to host my event anymore. My deposit was returned but the lack of professionalism exhibited here is totally unacceptable.

Again I cannot speak to their camp program but from a venue stand point apparently normal business practices and courtesies do not apply here.

This review is coming up as Martin Shulman, but it is Susan Shulman who was the client at Ivy League. I was prescribed six weeks of therapy for stiffness and pain in my hand. Dr. Said specifically recommended that I see Katie Richter for therapy. That was a great choice!! Katie evaluated the motion and strength of my hand at the onset of therapy. By the time my 12 sessions elapsed, all of my goals for improvement were met. I am thrilled!! Katie is very competent and professional in a very low-key way, listening to and addressing my concerns as they arose. Ivy League made it easy to make appointments and sign-in throughout my therapy period. I highly recommend this facility.

Part 1 of Wedding Review:

Part 1 of Wedding Review:

One year ago today, I got married at Ivy League Day Camp! My wife and I had a crazy idea for a non-traditional wedding. After doing some initial searches online, we stumbled upon Ivy League Day Camp. From the moment we first visited the camp and met Jonathan Leiser (who is possibly one of the nicest guys we have ever met), we instantly knew that this was the place where we HAD to have our wedding! The sky was the limit for us. Anything we came up with, we were met with the response, "We can make that happen!" Not only was this their first wedding, but they had to appease not one, but two, brides! No one batted an eye that this would be a same-sex wedding, which made it even more clear that this was the place we had to have our wedding. Not only that, but the owners knew their camp so well, that they were able to guide us through the process with ease and help us make all of the big decisions. Firstly, Jon suggested to us that we get married under the large gazebo. This was an excellent option that we had not even considered. After it was decorated, it looked rustic yet sophisticated. It looked like something straight out of Pinterest. My wife and I could not believe how beautiful it looked. Moreover, this was a great choice as there were a few short rain showers during the ceremony. After the ceremony, while the bridal party took care of a few last minute things before first dances, the guests were welcome to a cocktail hour with frozen margaritas, which were a major hit! Then, we came out and did first dances in a smaller gazebo. After a few speeches, we unleashed all of our friends and family onto the camp. The best part of having our wedding at Ivy League Day Camp was giving everyone we love the chance to be a kid again that day. It was almost like being able to give everyone who has loved and cared for us a mini vacation! All of our friends and family were able to take that day to shed any stress or real-world worries and just play with their kids and their friends! Our friends and family from all walks of life were racing each other on pedal go-karts, battling it out on the bumper boats, cheering each other on at the rockwall, playing in the pools, running around on the splash pads, playing soccer and softball, and enjoying the mini-golf course, as well. They were also getting shot out of the water slides which were AWESOME! Many new friendships were made at this camp. Some people were just relaxing in the picnic area with some of the best fried chicken we have ever had! The entire food service was incredible. The staff must have worked unbelievably hard to pump out that kind of food volume - we had 7 hours of continuous hot food! We even splurged and got the cotton candy and snow cone vendors, which made our wedding reception feel like a carnival. The best part of that was watching all of the kids readying their argument to buy splurgy treats and then finding out that they were free! Our nephew had at least 6 snow cones. Getting to watch all of the kids at our wedding have a "no limits day" - running from one amusement to another - was the best. Can you imagine being a kid at an amusement park or carnival and never having to hear "no" or "that's too expensive" ? The whole day was jam-packed with joy and endless possibilities. Being able to include kids at our reception made the day a true celebration of family.
