Nice hotel if a little dated with the rooms. Pretty good wheelchair access. Up a ramp to enter the hotel which might be a little steep for some people.
A great room with lots of space and a really good shower. The bed was comfortable with a lovely pillows. If you pay for breakfast in advance you get a good discount on the usual price. We ate there the first evening and the food and service was excellent. Friendly and helpful staff made for a great stay. Onsite free parking is a bonus. You can take the local bus into town and there are plenty of taxis to get you back for about 12 euro.
Beds are extremely comfortable! Fantastic location also. Only a short drive to city centre!
The perfect hotel for Cork .a short taxi ride to the hub & shops
dont think we ever stay again...over rated...pool not child friendly...food average.... expensive for location
Very average hotel in commercial and busy area, pleasant staff
Beautiful hotel it's night 3 of 3 for us in 4 rooms on a family holiday to visit our daughter. We had a minor problem that was rectified and a complimentary bottle of wine given, would definitely recommend this hotel the food is also excellent
Room had a smell of urine complained to reception sent someone to look at it and did nothing about it
The only downfall was that the leisure Centre was a 10 minute walk the directions we got were not very helpful it advise us to go out a fire door and when trying to get back in we found ourselfs locked out in the rain, the kettle in the room was also leaking and my partner burnt his hand from it and when we advised the receptionist she didn t even bat an eyelid, also when moving in the bed the light would turn on and off. Not very satisfied with our stay
Was passing by the hotel on the way to Cork and thought I'd book in here instead of the hotel I was going to. Check in was pleasant. Bar food was good and staff were really nice.
Clean hotel, nice welcome. The beds are passable (it sinks still a lot ...). There are 2 buses to Cork Cork center and they only run every half hour. Both take the car (3km) but beware of rush hour.
This hotel is brilliant and the staff nothing short of amazing. I come to cork on business and used to stick with same hotel but now I've been here I will never use anywhere else. It's slightly out of city but so worth the drive!! Brilliant!!
Good place good food should go out there for a family meal
last evening ,, we made a night, very large room, clean and very helpful reception. great breakfast. shame the distance from the center !! . I advise!
Nowhere to tie my horse up. I was told that members of the travelling community were not allowed which I took offence to being labelled as this was only assumed because I had a horse with me. I am friends with travellers and I told the man whom I bought the horse from about this scenario, he is a traveller and he was insulted in more than one way. Obviously the stereotypical, unjust profiling but more so as he said "there is no way you would even catch me dead in a rotten hotel". I overlooked the insult as I understand the narrow mindedness of alot of people in society so I used to have no issue with the hotel itself other than having no facility for my horse. I later found a lovely spot down by the coast with plenty of wild growth for my animal friend. I could pitch a tent and cast a line to catch fresh fish. All in all, it ended well and after spending time with nature, I realised what was meant by 'rotten hotels'.
Room and bathroom very clean. Shower good.2 big double beds in the room.
Great place for weddings and party s secure parking
It s a lovely facility for holding events. Was there for the Tony Robbins UPW event. The staff were helpful. The event hall is definitely large enough for any event. The space is well lite with natural light.
The event hall is wheelchair accessible with wheelchair accessible restrooms. There is plenty of parking available.
The location is quite and easy to access from the highway. It is close enough to the bus and train stations. You would be best to take a taxi.
Clean place. Good location if your hungry there's a supermacs next door. Service is poor portions are tiny. One small bowl of veg between 4 adults. Asked for 2nd bowl and they brought out with deserts.. even forgot one desert.
Easy to see why people don't stop off there anymore. Use to be a busy restaurant.
Great place to go for a bite to eat, fast friendly staff
So far not impressed. At check-in, the lobby was so loud I couldn t hardly hear the receptionist. Then we arrived to our room it was missing a shower curtain. When I went to call receptionist, the phone did not work and maintenance will not see to it until Monday. We decided to eat at a restaurant away from the hotel, because it was so loud in the Galley Restaurant. Once we arrived back to our room, I wanted to relax with a cup of tea and noticed the filthy tea kettle. One good thing about our room is the bed, it seems very comfortable. I read all the wonderful reviews about the hotel and so disappointed. This is a big weekend for my husband as he s participating in the Cork Ironman.
Very disappointing experience here. Had visitors with you and went for a meal that proved to be most embarrassing. Wouldn't recommend to anyone. Manager didn't even follow up on it.
Great location. East access to city and reasonable prices
Checking in was fast and friendly. Room was clean and food in the hotel was outstanding. The only difference between exec room and normal was a coffee machine and some robes from what I could see.
Since I ve been working from home since March I decided to treat myself and have a night in a hotel close to home & support a local business.
Juan & Melissa at the front desk were extremely welcoming and helpful. This was my first time in a hotel since the restrictions have been put in place so I was unsure of what to expect but my mind was put at ease from the second we checked in
The hotel was spotless and the COVID measures in place were well executed, that was plain to see.
Rooms are modern and spotlessly clean and we had a lovely view over the harbour.
The food is of a high standard, I ordered the fish cake and wings from the small bites menu and my other half the Ribeye steak from the large bites section. We were not disappointed!
There was 4 main choices for the hot breakfast, I chose the grilled mushroom on ciabatta it was divine, himself had the full Irish
Overall it was a lovely relaxing night, I would highly recommend it as a staycation spot. Ample free parking, great for families or a couples weekend away and great links to so many great Cork tourist spots.
Just home from my second visit in as many years, lovely hotel ,brilliant staff and a breakfast I'd nearly drive back down tomorrow for. Thaks to all and see you again soon.
When we checked into the hotel, we had to leave 100 euro deposit as I didn't have my credit card with me, I have stayed in many hotel in Ireland and never had to do this before. There was chewing gum on the bed when we arrived and the door handle of the bathroom was hanging off.
Great friendly staff, the hotel is always immaculate, great choice on the breakfast menu.. a well run hotel, always a great place to stay.
Good rooms, limited restaurant menu which was over priced. Very good breakfast options, cooked breakfast poor quality. Very friendly and courteous staff. Gym/Health Club voucher to use adjoining facility. Convenient to Cork city.
Ok hotel staff lovely except large lady inbreakfast room. Parking awkward to many meetings going on. Room very hot could not have window open. As noise from traffic and loading docks. Waited 10 mins for a Irish coffee. Kept awake till 4 this morning party going on in one of the rooms
Come here for afternoon or evening bites sometimes. Menu is pretty good, service is very good, and it's kid friendly.
Fantastic place with amazing rooms and very nice and kindly staff..
Myself and the sisters stayed here a few weeks ago. Really nice hotel and the staff were lovely to talk to. The room was amazing to be fair. Had everything and was really clean. There's a carpark a little bit up the hill where we parked but I don't know if people know about it? It was very handy for us. We had a lovely dinner there one night and breakfast each morning was huge!
Very friendly staff and no problem changing rooms. Food a little bland?
Enjoyed our stay. Staff not friendly or wellcoming particularily girl on reception on arrival on fri evening. Felt all staff very business like and performing their duties like they had to and not wanted to and perhaps slghtly defensive in attitude. Otherwise wouuld recommend hotel. Breakfast v good with great choices. Good location if not in city centre. Abt 45 mins walk from centre. 10 min drive.
Lovely hotel, but room cost far too expensive and when booking its confusing as breakfast is charged separately
The room was just unbareable to stay in. It was like being in an oven. Only hasa little table fan which we had on all the time but did not help much. We just wanted to get out of there ASAP after paying 140 e for the night. Glad we not staying longer. I think even if weather was cool those rooms are still stuffy. Bad for a 4 star. Worst night away we ever had unfortunately. First time not asked was our stay OK when leaving.. I wonder why. They probably used to complaints about room. Usually give great reviews this is my first bad one and feel bad doing it but just wanted to warn people
A lovely hotel with great facilities and staff. Close to the city and ideal location to use as a base for touring
A nice hotel, just a little bit too far from the city centre. 40 minutes walk!
Everything was fab. There was some noise from an event this can happen at hotels. The staff couldn't have been more apologetic and we were thrilled that we were given late checkout to make up for the slight disturbance. I'm a very light sleeper. I feel the noise could've been louder at another hotel as this hotel is known for big weddings and their ballroom is in a separate building. Thank you so much for a lovely stay. I requested a front facing room which was granted to me. Fantastic view. Lovely room spacious and warm. Our dinner was so tasty. I had the lamb and my partner had the salmon, both was sensational . Staff are an absolute credit to the hotel, from the breakfast staff, the bar, to reception, to the managers, so polite, genuinely friendly and enthusiastic. Give them all a raise! Thanks again for the second stay of many.
Had great time at a Lidl event here and room was perfect
FRIENDLY,HELPFUL STAFF,MADE OUR STAY A PLEASANT EXPERIENCE.
Room recently decorated
Good variety of food at breakfast
Great venue for meetings and plenty of parking spaces. Easy to get to from mist sides if the city
Excellent hotel well recommended even got a room upgrade and roses on the bed and free bottle of wine just because I said we were there for valentines weekend brilliant
Hotel was lovely but the bedroom was too hot. No air conditioning. Staff were very friendly but they could do with changing the bar menu not great.
Myself and my husband stayed here for one night for our wedding anniversary. From the minute we checked in by the receptionist Lorna to us checking out I cannot fault the hotel. Room was spectacular, very clean and beautiful decor. The breakfast was very tasty with lots to choos from .we even met the manager Tracy , she was so helpful and friendly, I will definitely be back to stay with my kids.
Went there for something to eat on a Sunday evening, very few staff in and waited 5 mins before getting seated and 10 mins before we left because no body came to take our order.
Breakfast was poor and the heating in the room was not adjustable resulting a difficult and uncomfortable sleep due to the heat.
Lovely hotel.Ideal location just outside main citt centre.Modern comforyable and relaxing.Enjoyed the food
Excellent hotel, very friendly and professional staff. Lovely food, great range and I would recommend the carvery Sunday lunch. Excellent pool, gym, squash and tennis courts.
I rate it 4 stars because in the bathroom the blow dryer was broken for 2 months and there is no soap there still
Excellent place to stay , we stayed here Saturday 14 th of December , staff were outstanding , especially a girl working in the bar at the dinner night , didn't get her name but she was so nice and helped me and my friend out .top service.
It was very friendly and helpful it you want to go somewhere and the rooms were magnificent and super clean. Overall I would say it is the best hotel in Cork.
Hotel was lovely... staff where so friendly and the beds were so comfy..... would highly recommend this hotel and stay again
Buffet breakfast amazing & they cater for gluten free option too!
A modern stayover with conveniently situated inhouse restaurant. Good for anything from tipples to eats. Great breakfast and hospitality is tops no matter the hour of day. Clean, cosy rooms with a touch of elegance.
