Awful, not a single sign, when you arrive you have to guess where you're going. It was quite dirty, out of 4 soap and paper towel dispensers, 3 didn't have any paper or soap. There's not enough places to eat.

I love how close this airport is and that you can travel just about any where. I like the staff over all too. I don't like the lack of food options especially in international terminal and how crazy traffic is to get out of this airport.

I have never given a one star rating as a local guide for Google. There is a first for everything.

It's about as humid as the spa room at Lifetime. Multiple people are in the terminal... WITHOUT BOARDING PASSES. How that happened, I have no idea. It smells like a pair of undergarments that just got put through a good workout and then burned and left on your porch.

Let me quote one of the attendants at the gate, "We are in the boarding process of boarding".

People are sitting on the floor and there is trash everywhere. There are no outlets. I feel like I've probably already caught the swine flu.

I will probably never fly through this airport again unless for whatever reason Jesus resurrected in terminal 1 at gate B9.

Have a nice day.

Flight in ok. At airport early from a cruise. Beware, Southwest will not check bags here for more than 4 hrs ahead of departure, made it impossible to get a cab, explore, go into town...we Were stuck there for over 6 hours. Food prices in ticketing area ridiculous....$5 smallish bag of chips, $3.25 for a granola bar that would be $1-2 anywhere else. Redeeming restaurant option (limited in our concourse) Sergio'sCuban. Seemed pricy at first but food was excellent, great quality, ample portions. Do not understand fair pricing policies at some airports while some like this one just not cool.

If u could give no stars I would...having to spend an entire day waiting for a plane is stressful enough without all the added harassment from workers. Bathrooms smell horrible and are old on the F gate. I am prepared for airport prices but these are extreme, almost 1-2 dollars more than compared to Atlanta for almost everything including small bags of snacks. And then sitting at a bar being basically forced to continue drinking or u have to leave your seat is just horrible customer service. Whether I spend 10 dollars or 100 dollars I deserve to sit here like anyone else without being bullied. Classless to say the least!

1. TSA agents are unorganized and rude.
2. There are virtually no outlets to charge electronics in check in/ baggage claims
3. The bathroom booth gaps provide no privacy what so ever, compared with many other airports that have no gap in between and taller booth walls.

Really bad airport. Lack of seating and outlets. Constant delays from weather in this area. You will wait 3 hours in customs with no remorse from the employees if you are about to miss a flight.

one of the worst airport I ve ever experienced ... dirty , bathrooms are horrible, terminals are smelly... I will never use this airport again ! Anecdote : we asked to the transportation information kiosk the direction to get to rentals; they said turn right at the exit and you will need to take 2 shuttles ! And guess what , it was on the left and there were only 1 shuttle ... I mean ?? You had one job !

The terminal we flew in to looked like it had been recently updated and was very clean and modern. There was one large restaurant which looked brand new but otherwise it could have definitely use a few more food spots. On our return flight the Spirit line was outrageous and one of the TSA employees we interacted with was extremely rude. It's much nicer overall than what I remember so that's something.

Do not fly here unless you have to!! Dirty and theft rampant, watch your jackets and bags. If there is a fender bender in car drive area, they shut the airport down, plan on being here for some time! No taxi, bus or any vehicle allowed in. PS do not bother report to police, they laugh and says it happens all the time.

The entire process was great. The several employees I spoke with were extremely helpful and friendly. It was an excellent experience for me. I would recommend this airport to anyone traveling to the Fort Lauderdale area. And the share drive area offs totally AWESOME. I had absolutely no issue getting my Uber ride, it worked ot perfectly.

Delta/air canada terminal is the smallest I ve ever seen. Not enough seating, squished, narrow halls, no attractions, minimal food selections, long lines for all food, no restaurants. Horrible experience coming from someone who loves waiting in airports for flights to explore, dine etc

as far as international airports it is on the lower quality scale. Very nice and helpful people however poor food choices, tough parking situations on busy days, and hard cell phone waiting area to navigate. never a traffic cop around when you need one, always one when you dont

TSA have no clue how to organize a bagging check in and boarding process, security don t actually check anything, they just try to move you down to get to the next person faster...staff in general are rude and don t have enough patience to answer any questions.

Just arrived. Did not see any security in baggage claim or outside baggage claim. No one policing area. Cars waiting around for arriving people and big suv drivers hustling waiting passengers. Not a safe airport!

I have visited 27 counties, and been to at least 20 Airports in the US that'a total of 50 plus airports includes 3rd world countries .

Fort Lauderdale is the worst of the worst, from amenities , customer service, cleanness, you name it , they are the very worst . I wish there was a no star on The reviews , they deserve none.

Bad example and impression if this is the fiist airport you landed in United States.

TSA is rude and unruly. It is a headache to travel in general but when dealing with this airport it gets 10x more hectic because everyone is so rude and create a hostile environment. The dynamic makes it very unsafe for travelers. The Broward Sheriff's office is always on sight and they immediately agree with staff at the airport who antagonize travelers.

Terminals B is a disgrace.. Not a single decent place to eat. The last time this terminal was renovated must have been 30 years ago. Such a busy terminal should be a Showplace. Not a single shop other than a newstand or cart. Just got gouged for inedible stuff they called pizza. Poorly lit and colorless.

Me and my Senior year class (maybe around 30ish students) in High School took a trip to Costa Rica (back in 2014) and we left/landed back from this Airport.

Like with many Airports, this one included. The TSA lines were huge, it probably moved every 5 minutes because people don't know what to do. Even with two lines open. For food, they have a great selection of food/drinks for breakfast, lunch, and dinner (if you fly out late or get a layover). One good thing is that near gates they have recharge stations. You can recharge your phones, laptops, and more all on this station which I thought it was pretty neat.

After Costa Rica, when we landed back in FLL and there were more lines once again. Custom's lines were long this time, only one line was open, and around 5/6 custom's check desk were open/available. It moved, but really slow.

Other than that, the Airport experience was normal like with every other Airport.

Airport food/drinks? They have great places like Jamba Juice, Five Guys, Dunkin' Donuts, Pei Wei, Steak 'n Shake, Starbucks, Auntie Anne's, Great American Bagel and of course many Bars.

Tip: If you leave the country a lot, I suggest you invest in 'PreCheck' or download the 'Mobile Passport' app by Airside Mobile Inc to skip TSA lines.

Side note: The app is not supported in a lot of Airports. But they said by the end of 2016, it should be supported in every Airport. It is supported in MIA and FLL.

A pretty nice airport. Easy to get to things; however, it's confusing to maneuver around as there is very little posted direction for various locations. One of the more poorly marked airports I've been to.

I have a terrible experience. I went to pick up my grandmother and a policewoman stepped out and punched me in the glass and screaming like crazy. When I was about to leave he told me to stop and threw a $ 79 fine out of my window. I suffered discrimination in my own flesh and I will fight this case because it is so unfair. I want everyone to know that there is DISCRIMINATION at that airport.

International flights arriving take hours! Have arrived here twice in the last few months and both times have been stuck in lines the moment you leave the plane for over an hour.

Staff say to many flights for the size of the airport.

Got off the plane. Not one sign for rental cars. Then after asking 2 different workers, we made our way outside to an area for rental car shuttle bus area. There were approx 100 people waiting for the bus. There were multiple canopies to wait under for the bus. However after waiting 20 minutes, we quickly found out they were only stopping at one of them. Spent another 20 minutes in another line. Busing sucked there. I ended up getting an Uber to get me rental building. Which cost an addition $13 after all the airport fees etc.
today when we returned our rental car there were no issues. Nice and smooth. But getting our rental car was a pain. Airport needs more signage and maybe tear down all the waiting canopies except for the one they stop at!

Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport always gets compared to MIA and most people always put it in a better light and for good reason. It s overall just cleaner, less crowded, and the staff are more pleasant and courteous. FLL all the way and Broward County knows how to run things! #fortlauderdale #hellosunny #funinthesun #veniceofamerica #tsaprecheck

Sarcastic and rude staff managing the long, disorganised queues for check-in and border control. Poor eating facilities in waiting areas. Not people friendly let alone family friendly. Stressful experience overall.

Wow Nice Airport. It looks like Florida....nice neat clean modernized to accommodate the heavy traffic and high class clientele. You can smell the richness. One of the worst experiences I ve ever had in any airport in my entire life. I arrived from Lima Peru on an international flight and it was immediately obvious their immigration entry points were totally under staffed. One flight from Ecuador took 2 hours to clear the immigration line and my own flight took two and a half hours to clear immigration, customs, and security. In the future on any of my trips to South America I will literally pay more to avoid this airport altogether. Every single employee here seemed on edge and were about as rude as could be from the immigration agents to the TSA security agents and even the people checking boarding passes. Watch out if your plane is an early morning arrival.

"It's a zoo" very busy and hard to get a parking spot in the garage. Confusing to get around in the linked up terminals. The change of departure gates made us walk an extremely long distance to the rescheduled one. Loading of the plane went smoothly and we left the gate and took off before scheduled time.
