Considering how many rich Canadians use this place to go to and from Cruise Ships, I can tell you, this airport is worse than a 3 rd world dump.

This is my favorite airport! The customer service is always exceptional, no matter the airline! Only downside is the cost of everything in the terminals. As if I want a taste of South Beach prices in an airport

Notes: Flying Delta/Family

Positive: Found a really cheap international deal to Singapore from here.

Negative: It's not very efficiently structured, you have to take a bus from the garage to simply go across the street to some terminals. Also forget about hospitality (the Bus Driver, Delta Check-In Rep, TSA Agents and even Gate Attendants were generally on the unfriendly side). Ironically the only decent individual we met was a local police officer. They're remodeling the terminal we were in so the food was quite limited in addition to being over priced.

Summary: I'd pay more to go to another airport. Does it hurt to be a little courteous!

BTW I was so surprised by the quality that I looked up the Worst US Airports online and found an article that had it listed at #9 and another one at #3!

You ever sit in an elevator for 2 hrs , that s what it s like listening to the music they pump thru the speakers .... play anything else even country and I hate country

The AC was not operating properly, had to walk a 1/8 of a mile for the bathrooms and the chairs are very uncomfortable.

Worst airport experience in my life & I travel a lot so I can do this comparison. Rude lazy uneducated staff & Very Disorganized!! They don't even deserve one star!!!

Great food options in the terminals. The pickup/drop off process could be better.

Is an airport on the outskirts of Miami, very busy tourist facilities is small, but has all the services, personnel migration, customs are very vigilant and try as much as possible to help and do their job well,

20 mins away from Miami it's a good and cheaper option.

Bad airport. Few eating options on terminal 3 boarding, crowded and chaotic buses to get from rental car center to terminal and vice versa.

Great, Alot of Safety, and awareness, following the CDC Guidelines.

TERRIBLE. Had a wallet stolen Friday night, nobody could help because lost and found is only open week days. Cleaning staff was in the restroom where the wallet was left and it was still never reported! Staff was nothing but a**holes to say the least, not helpful at all! $1000+ lost because of their terrible customer service and airport. Never again will I fly here!!!

This is a terrible airport. Honestly, it s really embarrassing

It's not what I expected. I was at the JetBlue terminal and my experience was not pleasant.

For people flying out it's good, but not friendly for accommodating non flying guests.

Short walk from entrance/exit to gates, and short security lines. But the rental car bus is overloaded and has two stops, hard for the first ones to get off. Dining options are pretty limited with long lines and waits, not enough seating. Lots of traffic and a drive for drop off or pickup. Passenger volume has outgrown the airport facilities.

I need help i dont have a credit card to pay for my stuff at the airport are there any machines there where i can get a card?

Nice clean airport, wish more vendors offered Pepsi products

No shops and overpriced bad food. Good shuttle to rental service. Good with free wifi.

Great infrastructure and simple locomotion and access.

The TSA officers were AMAZING but the people who checked us in at United were just terrible! They took off the tag from our suitcase and made us step aside for a new tag, then while we were waiting for a new tag, the guy put it on the conveyor belt without a tag! Guess I'm never seeing that again. Their organization was awful- we where waiting in line for over 30 minutes and then they took us out and put us in the back of the line, then they took us back out and put us in another line. They where just clueless. Please try harder, thank you.

Worst airport I have ever been to. First it took forever in the immigration when arriving. And when going home we went from terminal 3. Rude employees in the security control.
To crowdy and impossible to get an table on the restaurants. One of them had 30 minutes waiting time to get an table!?! Avoid this airport if possible.

Busy, big airport but was easy to get around. Plenty of signs and nice clean facilities.

Comfortable and fast to travel to Miami and with a stopover for other cities.

Have great restaurants and other food stores and lounges with nice comfortable leather couches and recliners to rest in.

Tsa was by far one of the nicest people I've met. They are very welcoming and to the point!. Nice training received.

This is a great little airport. The sercerity lines are small and easy to get through as long as you follow the directions. I prefer to fly in and out of here as aposse to Miami.

Airport is small and crowds,departure process was quite ok,but when we arrived.We were waiting in the plane for 30 min,till they got us out.Reason"They didn't have gate for us."Was on so many airport, but don't remember when I had to wait 30 min to get my luggage!!!But still better then MIA airport.

The worst airport that I have seen in my life! Right here in the USA Is a slap in the face, and insult to all specially us, with USA citizenship Is dangerous and the hustle is appaling

I've never had a problem with Fort Lauderdale airport. I'm starting to think people write most of these reviews just to rant. I can careless how people treated you. at the end of the day it's an airport. in which handles thousands of people every single day and people want to be pampered as if they are the only ones to fly in of out. as long as it's clean & efficient... it's an airport. get over yourself! but the airport definitely need to be brought to the 2000s. it's still in the 90s as far as decorations but always clean. always efficient. they have a couple of standard food options. only reason I won't give it 5 stars because it needs to remodeled. it's flat out dated. they have a large parking lot and they also offer economy parking. they allow uber to service the airport. all the options one needs to be in and get out. not stay there and get a massage. that probably won't happen unless your an attractive woman and it's most likely by pervert. keep up the good work fll and remodel this airport please

Terminal bussing personnel from rental car facility was amazing. Made sure we got where we needed to when we accidentally got on wrong bus!!

I like to use this airport more than Miami, it is faster and with less people

Badly staffed, hard to navigate, constant hold ups and unhappy people (both travelers and staff).

Clean, clear social distancing prompts and hand sanitizers.

Security here is a joke. Customs a joke. This airport is a joke. Do not fly into here. You ll miss your flight

Well lit and laid out. Lots of scenery and eateries. It wasn't overwhelming at all

Good luck on trying to find the cell phone parking lot too many signs and confusing signs

I travel all over the US for business and I have to say that without question, Ft. Lauderdale is the WORST I have ever been in. They are consistently rude and lazy - the climate im most all terminals is muggy and humid and the bags always take1/2 hour from the time you get to baggage claim.

TERRIBLE!

The facilities are ok, and some parts are new which means that the facilities are even better.
But if you have a flight at anytime past 10pm (and it is really busy at that time) this airport has no service at all. Every food store or kitchen is closed by 9:30pm, and some (Burger King) by 10pm. It is absurd at an airport that has such traffic.
The staff is also not very helpful or motivated, from TSA to cashiers.
A huge disappointment from a central airport that serves many national and international hubs.

The loaded us on our plane after having to wait for our "flight crew" to arrive, only to have us unboard the flight and wait for another flight crew. Our flight was delayed by about 4 hours. Air traffic control seems unorganized to say the least.

Pretty easy airport to get around and a better option than Miami

Nice airport with friendly and helpful employees. This airport is bright and the tsa security check is a breeze. The airport also has unlimited free wifi.

Very pleasant airport for Southwest flyers. Rental car area is attached to the Southwest terminal (Terminal 1). Quick security. Guy Harvey everywhere.

Very good. Clean and organized. bad part is that you need to take a shuttle to get in the car rentals, the terminal that was, you could not walk. Otherwise all OK

Meh, never my favorite airport. I use it because the prices are less expensive than West Palm.

For such a small airport this one is pretty good. It gets pretty full, particularly when you have more than one flight going out of the same gate within a short amount of time, but other than that, it's easy to move about and the chairs are acceptable in their comfort level.

Naturally if you're hungry, you either stay hungry or give in to extortion level prices.

I've been traveling for 25 years and seen many terminals but terminal 2 is one of the worst.

Small airport. The setup for rental car returns is odd. Security is slow. Smells funny.

I like the size and easy access through I-595. Parking rates are also better than MIA.

I had 1:45hrs to make my flight and missed because of 2hrs in lines. They need to get this airport working. Hands down worst experience in any airport I ve had. Staff are rude and unhelpful.

FLL deserves 4-stars because the airport seems to be headed into the right direction when it comes to updated buildings. Terminal 4 is very modern and the new terminal they are building on the northside of the airport is supposed to be similar. Still, places such as Terminal 3 are lacking and you feel like you are in the late 90s. FLL is also gaining more international routes yet you still dont have to deal with enormous crowds because it isnt as big as MIA. Traveling through FLL was nice.

Horrible experience with baggage claim when arriving from an international flight. Airport was also not clean and staff very unhelpful. A lot of improve at this place before I consider flying back through this airport again.

Convenient (depending on where you're heading) and easy, no hassles.

No information on where my luggage is. Bunch of people wandering around wondering what s going on. They have two giant tvs each displaying advertisements and cnn. No offense against either, just would be better to display which flight the luggage beneath is coming from

Don t need to wait long on security/customs lines and planes are pretty good at gettin our on time it seems (weather permitting).

Airport small but big enough to come on vacation. Privileged this airport to Miami if your hotel is in the area

Wish I could put 2.5 stars because thats just about how I feel about this airport neutral. Its pretty dirty in areas. However this is changing fast they are renovating as well as expanding the airport. One place the airport does shine in is the transport and parking due to the proximity and availibility of the parking to the terminals. However if parking on site the fees are not clearly listed and I once paid 150 for parking for 8 days. Cellphone waiting lot however is pretty cool espescially for plane spotting and includes a speaker where you can hear the atc communication.

If you are coming through international be prepared for long lines. The construction reroutes you out of the secure area so after you've stood in line to get into the country, you have to stand in an even longer line to get past security for your next flight. If you want food be prepared for long lines too. The airport as a whole is disorganized and not no place to make a repeat visit if you can help it.
