This was the highlight of our family South Island tour thus far, for my 2 girls. They absolutely loved it. They wanted to do it again. Thanks to our driver Ryan too, who was awesome!

Exclusive views only on Shotover Jet. Absolutely enjoyed myself at high speed and had so much fun with the 360 spins and passing so close the canyon walls.

This was a fun time. Kinda expensive for what it is, but still cool.
Amazing experience. Price is a bit steep ($145 for a 25min ride on the jet boat, can include free shuttle to/from Queenstown). Rachael our jet pilot made sure everyone was happy. The photos at the end are sold for $40 which is even more steep, and you have to purchase while on site.
It s worth going to pay attention to flies like sesame that have bloodsucking and traces.
Super fun experience! I have done other jet boats available around Queenstown because they are generally cheaper. However Shotover Jet is definitely worth the extra money. It may seem a short time on paper, but the time is the perfect amount. You can get very wet and cold and get to go up and down the river multiple times on a section of the river that they have exclusive rights to. Definitely one for the thrill seekers.
It is a great experience. A bit on the expensive side. The boat ride was a lot of fun. The boat has 2 V8 engines that thrust out a lot of power for a fun ride. They have a couple cameras to capture a nice video of you. They make it fun by taking the boat closer to rocks at decent speed and doing a 360. You will feel the jerks so if you have back or neck issues, it may not be for you. They give you rundown waterproof cover-ups and life jacket.
What a blast, I highly recommend this to everyone. A must do in Queenstown. Our pilot Andy K was sensational as well, knew his stuff and a bit of a character.

What an amazing experience. Price was good, had a smile on my face the entire day and how close the drivers get to the stones and cliffs is seriously impressive. I personally had Phil as my boat driver and he was an absolutely fantastic guide to have. He s funny, sarcastic and very engaging with his company on the boat. Extreme ! I think i was in "Fast and the furious" version in the river. It is surely save and fun but not good for kid.

You have to make sure if you are in Queenstown. You speed through the canyon with incredible speed. The riders ride very close to the rocks.

This was such a fun activity! The 360's were great. This wouldn't be super exciting for adrenaline junkies but we all enjoyed it and you got to see a lot of gorgeous scenery.

Professional but totally underwhelming Driver was lovely, whole activity well managed. But it is not thrilling at all, as the boat is quite slow and does the same thing over and over: 360s and driving somewhat close to rocks at approx 70 km/h. You get used to it after 30 seconds and then it's boring and you have time to reflect on the rather poor way in which you just spent a decent amount of your disposable income. At NZ$159 per person it's the most regrettable purchase on my NZ trip. I honestly don't understand the huge number of reviews citing a "thrill" or similar, on the basis of which I chose to go :(

No one told us in advance that their recording cams and gadgets were out of order. Disappointed to not be able to have our memories captured. The experience is good though
You absolutely have to go jetboat on the Shotover River. We only do that in New Zealand. Awesome. The propulsion of these boats is very surprising and their handling is absolutely incredible. It is expensive but there is a counterpart.

The best jet boat ride in Queenstown. Our captain was cool, made the ride exciting right throughout. Definitely recommend this ride for anybody who is in Queenstown.
Honestly one of the best experiences in my life. This Shotover Jet company are official. Only only have they been going at it for a very long time but they had many celebrities that trust them even prince Harry took a ride with them. We landed the same day and came straight to this place and wow. I recommend this to anyone starting off New Zealand. This was super fun and so cool how fast and control the drivers were when it came to hitting these so close corners but we felt 100% safe during the whole drive. I highly recommend it and also try to sit down on the edge of the boat you really get to see how close you are. Also if you have a go pro wear it on your head they will allow it worth the head strap. Also no phones on the bot they have a safe bin to drop it off before you enter the boat. Your belongings will be safe. Like I said again I highly recommend it you will not be disappointed.

Just great! We were there 4 years ago and it was just great! I would do this trip again and again if I come back to beautiful New Zealand. The nice thing about it is the boat trip has its thrill by turning quickly on rocks, turning 360 degrees, driving quickly up to rocks but also has one of the most beautiful gorges in New Zealand to offer and you also get a beautiful landscape. Again and again! Keep it up! It was meeeeega fun!
Incredible ride with lots of adrenaline !!! Even though it is expensive, it is worth doing, so look for discount coupons in tourist booklets or bookme.nz Attentive staff and everything very safe. They provide goggles and a raincoat, but I recommend taking your own sunglasses and warm jacket, because in autumn, even in the sun, it is too windy and very cold because of the boat's high speed. Unforgettable ride and incredible scenery!

Went for the Sunrise Jet Ride. Water was cold. But the ride was fun. About 20-25 mins in the boat. They also have a $19 repeat.

The Shotover Jet jet is well-organised and run by friendly staff. Our boat pilot, Nick, was very friendly and experienced and we felt comfortable under his stewardship of the boat. We saw, albeit briefly, parts of Queenstown that we wouldn't otherwise have seen. Would recommend. Nb: Like every paid-for 'experience' activity in Queenstown, it's expensive, and like all of these experiences, they try to encourage you to purchase the expensive and typically unnecessary photos, videos, etc, at the end.
