Sheraton Phoenix Downtown Review

Good rooms, friendly service, parking is a nightmare for events.

Great service. Very nice rooms. Valet and parking are outsourced, so the hotel has very little control over that. The morning I arrived there were no barricades up marking self parking from valet, and I mistakenly parked in valet. Later, when I came back down to my car, there was a car parked directly behind me and one other guest. I went back to the front desk and they took me to the valet desk. The attendant insisted that I had purposely parked my car there knowing that it was valet only. I explained that there were no cones when I parked and he told me (very apathetically) he would send someone down "soon". As I stated before, the staff was very friendly and helpful, too bad the parking attendants are not.

Great hotel lots to do downtown. The restaurants are wonderful a little expensive though. The service was truly fantastic lots of very friendly staff. Parking was not free expensive.

Location is great, the room was nice and clean. Im rating it 3 stars for the following three reasons. 1) I didn't get a very good description of how to get to my room, like which floor I was located on. 2) The elevators didn't work very well, having to scan your card didn't register at times, as well as pressing the buttons in them didn't always seem to work properly. 3) The bed sheets while clean were very poor quality, they look nice but both myself and the other person staying with me got rug burn/rashes from the sheets. This is the biggest issue I had here, if it was just the other two issues it would have been 4 stars, but the sheets were that bad.

Really nice beds, rooms and views. The fitness center is above what you would expect at a hotel and the pool/hot tub area is top notch. Four stars because of the elevators. Seriously. They have this key card verification slot that is super frustrating. I know it is for safety but I have never seen that at a hotel before besides going to a suite level. It is probably why they were slow in arriving to my floor as well.

It was a beautiful hotel besides. Great conference facilities, cool bar, friendly staff.

The moment I get here the customer Service stunk the sale the service sales agent Was rude did not greet no customer service skills whatsoever. 5 minutes later another young man walks past my car goes to the car behind me ask if they needed help forgot to ask me. I told the supervisor who told the service sales person the issue. The employee Came back out, Said nothing as though he was not Rude. I would not bring my car back here ever in my life the customer service here is miserable.

Please call around before coming here as they will match other Toyota dealerships.

Nice amenities and good location, but the shortage in terms of parking is disappointing.

This is my favorite hotel in Phoenix. The lobby and rooms are nice, and the location has so many places nearby for food or entertainment.

Really nice hotel except the pool was closed and we were not told until after we got there the kids were really disappointed

Snooty front desk staff at check-in left me feeling disrespected. Extra charges for everything - never use the phone in the room without checking how much extra they'll gouge you for. On the flip side, the beds were comfortable, the neighborhood is nice, and the hotel is easily accessed and a short drive from Sky Harbor. Also, the housekeeping staff and valets we spoke with were very friendly and helpful. All in all, I would not recommend this property.

A fancy nice place people like to stay at if doing things in Downtown Phx.

Stayed there for a night to just relax and get out of the house for a bit. The pool was empty so it was nice to swim alone with the girlfriend. It's also within walking distance of tons of cool restaurants downtown.

Attended a grad ceremony. Chairs in the ballroom could've been a bit more comfortable.

Great location, the rooms are updated and very nice, and comfortable. The staff is great. The issue i have and the reason for 4 stars is, the breakfast is horrible. Free or not, it's a joke. You need to do better. Now i will say this, they are under renovations and it looks like some good updates are coming. But as of now, 4 star's.

The location is great, right in downtown Phoenix. The amenities are lacking. There is no free parking, no breakfast.

One of the best hotels. Staff is very friendly and helpful. We came for a conference and there were thousands of people wanting to go up and down the elevators but this hotel handled it smoothly, never waited more than a few minutes for the elevator. The cleaning service and bathroom products are high quality. They leave a free bottle of Dasani water every day.

The Sheraton Grand Phoenix is in a great location and is a beautiful venue for large events. The meeting rooms were well designed with plenty of room. The chairs are comfortable. There was plenty of space to move around and the restroom facilities are very clean. The food service was good and the food is tasty.

The Sheraton in Phoenix is a beautiful hotel. The rooms are clean and well furnished. It is located within a block of the Phoenix Convention Center and is within walking distance of several great restaurants. The service was excellent and the staff went out of their way to make my stay more enjoyable. I would happily stay here again.

The service was top notch! Used for a work training function and wouldn't go with anyone else in the future.

They were so unprofessional about the people stuck in the elevator. Call went to the central location instead of directly to hotel. Someone on the elevator called 911 and the fire department had to pull this people out of the elevator. Yikes

This is a nice hotel, close to everything in downtown Phoenix, but the reason I give it 5 stars is because it has the best pool of any hotel I ve ever stayed in! It s a 99 foot long lap pool located outdoors and next to a pool bar. The exercise room has as many machines and weights as my health club. I ve stayed in many nice hotels around the world but this is definitely the best one for exercise and enjoyment.

Not an inexpensive hotel but it lives up to the cost.

This place was amazing. It is beautiful and in a fantastic location. If you're there on the first Friday of the month they have a little art festival right outside the hotel. For a good bite to eat go to Beatz and Brunch.

Beautiful interior and very spacious. The rooms are beautiful and when you reserve a room, they deliver even if almost all the rooms are taken. The rooms are spacious and have a minifridge and microwave provided. Worth every penny and I really recommend it if you're going to be staying there for a convention at the Phoenix Convention Center as it's a nice distance from it. Not too close as to hear everyone walking by at the convention but not too far as to be a hassle to go back and forth. That being said, the Renaissance is a good alternative if this is too pricy or overbooked, but it's a little father back. It's a give and take.

We went for Saboten Con and were forced to wait for hours because they refused to put a second person on the room after multiple attempts online and over the phone. Other than that the experience had been good. Rooms are clean and they are handling the large event well.

From check in to check out, the staff was courteous and very helpful. I was here for a convention and no elevators at any time broke down, I cannot express enough how thankful I was for that alone.

The rooms are clean, and the staff is always helpful and friendly. The $5 voucher for selecting their green option for turn down service provides a good oppotunity to enjoy other amenities.

Excellent location to the convention center. Great breakfast and the service is excellent.

We went to the District resteraunt for Resteraunt Week. The food was great. The service was OK, but they felt a little disconnected when serving us. We had to flag down two other waiters to fix some issues with our food. It was fine because the short ribs were to die for. The peach sangria was very tasty for the price. We liked that the wedge salad had some leaf lettuce and not just the core. The dressing was a great mix of creamy and tangy. Overall, our third time there was very good. We'll be back again.

Good downtown location with access to public facilities and restaurants so if you're here on business or entertainment this is the place.

Room was clean and with plenty of amenities. Had some issues with parking and bellhop service, but management was helpful with resolving the issues. The hotel could plan better around the conventions it hosts, particularly with regards to reducing elevator congestion.

The room was very, very nice for the price. We did get a bit lost when trying to find our room at first, but once we did it was wonderful.

The lobby is grand. The staff are friendly. The kind size room is compact, with no extra space. The carpet is older. There are a number of outlets, not necessarily conveniently located. The TV is relatively tiny, compared to other places I've stayed in the last few years. This room could use a facelift.

The hotel room was great. However with the construction elevators were limited and took forever to get to the room with only half available on the lobby area.

Location was great. Too bad TV was broken in the room. Also no heads-up that the room was a shared room.

Only dropped in but it looked nice and the person I visited enjoyed their stay. She did say that the elevators are finicky when trying to use the room key to get to your floor though. (You have to slide your room key in the elevator to be able to press the button for your floor)

Room was freezing. No heat. No extra blankets on room.
