First, let me just start off by saying the beds and pillows at a place make or break it for me. I love Marriott pillows. The bed was decent. I slept really well after being up since 3 am travelling. They allowed me to check in at 2pm with no problems (for which my back and feet were exceedingly grateful). They brought water and plenty of condiments with my room service. The food was good, except the fondue wasn't my favorite (nearly gave this a four just because the cheese was so grainy, but everything else was soooooo good I didn't). Everyone was friendly, room temp was great, and the hotel looks nice. It's under construction and they warned me about the noise, but I only heard scraping once for about ten minutes and that was during the middle of the day so it was not an issue. Great location, very close to the convention center.

Hotel is within walking distance of movie theatre and restaurants. Conference facilities were very nice and staff are polite. Rooms are typical of this class of hotel. It is quiet at night so no problem getting a good night's sleep.

Always a clean, pleasant venue for events. Staff are friendly and accommodating and take time to meet individual client needs. Our only complaint is that parking spaces in the parking structure vary in size greatly and those made for compact vehicles are inordinately close together. Passengers must get out and take any necessary items out of car before parking.

Stayed during Saboten Con weekend

Biggest complaint is their elevators broke so I believe only 1 was going all the way up to the room floors. This was a huge hassle, as the elevators are desperately needed during convention time (loads more people using the elevators). In order to go up, you often had to go down to the bottom most level, to reserve a spot on the elevator

It would be one thing if the elevator were only out for a little, but I believe it was out for maybe 75% of Saboten

Had it been Phoenix Comicon, which is larger, it would have been even more disastrous

Overall everything else was great though. Like their deal where if you hang the Going Green sign you can get a free meal, in place of your room service. Dine in section where you can spend your meal ticket was nice, and steaks highly recommended

This property is beautiful!! Decor and ambience are high class and the lobby is full of stuff to do. It's right in the center of Downtown Phoenix within walking distance of all the downtown attractions. The arts district is literally a 5 to 10 min walk. Make sure to check out Phoenix First Fridays on the first Friday of each month!!

Great service and great hotel clean and awesome staff and amazingly nice rooms. Horrible elevator service though 20 to 30 minute wait sometimes! It was bad. Took the stairs about 5 times. Up and down 13 flights of stairs because of the elevator wait!
