Sheraton on the Park Review

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay here. The receptionist/concierge Florencia was great. She upgraded our room free of charge and also had a bottle of champaign delivered to us! Would highly recommend!

The best hotel in Sydney and the restaurant has the best seafood

Wouldn t mind staying there again if need be, but not something I d look forward to. Woken up by protestors in the morning - not their fault.

Beautiful hotel with decent size room.

4 nights, been a while since I stayed here, bar was good, bar food very nice, room service good, staff overall very friendly and helpful. Had a minor issue in room which was resolved in a very helpful and timely manner and exceeded my expectations. Free wifi if SPG member.

One of the very best hotels Australia has. The staff are amazing.

In Hyde Park, there is only a park view on the 11th floor and a sea view on the upper floors.
The room and bed are relatively small, but the configuration is suitable, the bed is very comfortable, enough for two adults to use.
The hotel is very suitable for office, the TV is very big, but I hope the bathtub is a little bigger. The bathroom only has showers and no showerheads. It is a little inconvenient for me to use it in Taiwan.
The Sheraton's lounge has a superb view, elegant surroundings, outdoor seating, and professional food and coffee.
I am on the business trip, I prefer Sheraton (but the room is very full, you can reduce the inconvenience when you come back around 15:00)

Had buffet with family at the Feast. Food was good but thought maybe pastry chef/s could do a bit more with desserts. Otherwise must commend Leo for his great service, being very pleasant and always have a smile whenever he is at our table. Well done Leo!

Fabulous service, friendly people, quick access to taxi, train and bus. Hyde Park across the street is an escape from a busy day. Great pool on top level!

Good service, the staff are very friendly and the price is expensive but very good.
The rooms are large and well laid out. Good for a honeymoon!!!

After reading reviews for Marriott properties, this definitely was the best choice. Excellent room and service. Walkable to cruise terminal.

Professional staff but only a few a friendly. We stayed here a couple of years ago and had a much nicer room. Since then the Hotel has been redone, it now has an extremely cheap feel to it. The furniture and furnishings color palette feel dated. The bed is really comfortable and we had a great view. Upon check in our room wasn't ready and we where offered a room upgrade for an additional $300 a night which was unacceptable, after a few minutes they found us a similar room that we booked. The first time stayed here everything was great, we where hoping to get the same experience again this time but we didn't. Won't be staying here again

Very comfortable. Great linen! The staff are the best thing about here. Super helpful, kind and go out of their way to make sure you are happy. Nothing is well sign posted though. Finding toilets and conference rooms a mission!

I got a city facing room - the view is not great and if you want a nicer view, pay a bit more got a view of the park.

Great hotel, amazing location next to Hyde park, good food and service

Well, firstly ask if you are on an unfurnished floor and if it s on the side of the building, if the answer is yes, then take your money and go elsewhere. It s the most depressing room. We hated it. You couldn t even open the shutters... yes, shutters. You were basically 10m away from the next building. Horrible, it had a funny smell. The furniture was so old, you could feel the springs in the bed. We ended up paying extra for a smaller room facing the part which was a lot better but not worth it. Better off in the Hilton or the shangri la.

An ok hotel for the price but it is a bit tired. Also the corner room had noise from the lift shaft all night. Try avoid this room if you are a light sleeper.

Nice hotel right in the city centre, just 2mins to major shopping centre and department stores across the road. The stay was comfortable however water was leaking from the standing shower which created a hazard with the standing water. The staff here were friendly and attentive.

I stayed in the terrace suite on Saturday night and i t was pretty good. The hotel itself is a little dated and the wine list is average for a place of this celebre.

Decent hotel, though rooms were a little dated. Brand new club lounge and rooftop swimming pool were the highlights for me. Upgraded to a suite as an SPG Platinum member. Service was great throughout. Will come back again, because of the good location.

Staff were fantastic and the location is historically grand.

I attended a one day conference here and everything was well taken care of. Of course a lot of things were handled by the conference organisers, but the hotel aspects were perfect: the conference rooms, the catered breaks and lunch, overall appearance and cleanliness... all were flawless.

The Feast Restaurant's International Seafood Buffet is a little on the pricey end. However the value comes from the quality of the food and great service the wait staff provides you. The seafood was great as well as their chicken and the range of salads. A little disappointed with the pork belly dish - not enough crackle.

Lovely hotel with great service, overlooking the park. We managed to get an early check in and a late check out. Couldn't have asked for more.

Great place. One of the better hotels I've been in and I've tried a few in Sydney cbd for work

I had dinner at the seafood buffet. The prawns were my favourite and were amazingly fresh. The servers were very good at constantly refreshing dishes although it was a small space so people had to keep moving around as dishes were being replaced. The desserts were also very good and there was such a large variety. It was odd to me that there was no beverage station for coffee and tea, we had to order tea from a server, which we discovered later was at no extra charge yet not sure if coffee would have been included in the cost as there was no information about it available to us.

Service was amazing - the waitresses were very attentive. Food was amazing as well, huge servings.

My stay at the Sheraton Grand Sydney remided me of what 5 star service is really like. The entrance of the hotel is very luxurious and very welcoming. As always, staff is very awesome and is always happy to help! The breakfast buffet is well stocked with a large amount of tasty breakfast items. The bar has a good selection of drinks. The pool is indoor, and is very nice. There is a hot tub, but it is very small. The fitness area is very good and has a lot of equipment. My room was very nice and cozy. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom is clean. Great hotel for a stay in Sydney.

A fantastic place to stay in the CBD, some great package deals too if you dig around.

Had the sea food buffet at the Feast. Amazing spread of starters, main course and desserts. The staff was very friendly. Worth every penny spent.

Clean amenities. The staff are helpful and pleasant. Good gym, pool and spa/sauna. Enjoyed the Club Class perks. Room was comfortable and bathroom spacious.

Beautiful place at the heart of Sydney. Can fully rest and relax after a whole day of sight seeing. Really amazed by the bathroom. Looks and feels Grand! Just opposite St James stations.

Sheraton has a gorgeous view to hold venues, with a unique selling point where it is held above ground level to allow plenty of natural light and a view of Hyde Park.

Excellent service from all the staff and very clean and comfortable rooms (very glad that we weren't paying!). Price of breakfast is ridiculously overpriced.

Been to the all-u-can-eat buffet restaurant with family. Wide selection of food - especially seafood pleased us. No coffee surprised us though.

Sheraton on the Park is a place you can feel like home and enjoy the luxury of a good time in Sydney. Many rooms have the views of Hyde Park with the huge trees climbing along eastern side of the hotel. Best time of the year to enjoy that is springtime. Hotel is in central business district with great shopping like David Jones and Myer just next door. Hotel has friendly service and fantastic food.

This review is only for the bar. Very slow service. Ok drinks but not amazing...if you're just dropping in for a drink I'd recommend the Westin instead.

The room is very nice with very comfortable bed. The bathroom is also very nice. The room feel luxurious. The only comment is that the tv remote didn't work well due to their tv upgrade, needed to use 2 different remotes.

Enjoyed the seafpod buffet. Prices were high. Food good quality and well presented. Would go again for special occassion. Highly recommended.

The hotel has one of the best executive lougne with a delicious selection of food. Platinum Elite status was recognised and was upgraded to a suite. Wonderful view of the park and St Mary's Cathedral. Very close to the train station and CBD.
